Dear all ws community.

How do you do ?

I have just joined GDI few months ago and I am trying to build my web and still keep on going until now. I wondering if anyone can have a look at my website and comment on it. I welcome all help to improve of my website and to get more visitors to it. Especially I need more explainations on the keyword as well as meta. Which I am really lost on them ( Meta and Keyword ), even i have read a lot of them in the forum discussion.  ( sorry for my broken English, I am Indonesian ) Kiss Shocked

Thanks a lot

The site is www.gdi-website-community.ws

Hi Albert. To be honest, I find your home page extremely 'busy' with too many flashing ads all over the place. It is confusing and makes me want to leave. It needs more focus. A good plan is to focus each page on one topic and to build your content around that topic, including that page's main keyword a few times on that page so that the search engines can pick up what that page is about.

Here are a couple of suggestions:

  • Go to www.Alexa.com and download their traffic ranking toolbar. Whenever you're on a website it will show you the traffic ranking for that site.  The higher the number the further you are from the top position.
  • See what your own site's ranking is, and compare it with other sites you're competing with in your theme.
  • At a site with a good traffic ranking, click on your browser's menu option to view the page source and see what keywords the site is using in the keywords meta tag near the top ... like this: <META Name="Keywords" Content="law of attraction, success secrets, how to grow success">
  • Check out this site for webmasters: http://www.googlekeywordtool.com/ and Google's own Webmaster Central at http://bit.ly/flxABs
  • When you use a keyword tool, choose keywords that have high search numbers and relatively low competition. This will help your site to get found amidst the million other sites out there.

It takes time, so be diligent and patient, and keep plugging away.

I hope this helps. Have fun!
