Hi, I am getting so many spams for drugs from people using    anyname>my .ws email address<  .  It is really getting annoying.  The name they use in place of 'anyname' always varies.  Can I filter these out in any way?

Are you using IMAP? If yes, you must configure your email program with the following:

     Incoming Mail Server -> email.ws
     Outgoing Mail Server -> Provided by your ISP
     Account Name -> youremail@yourdomain.ws

You can follow the instructions here:
http://www.stu.qmul.ac.uk/mail/outlook/outcfg.htm

Doesn't GDI have a outgoing mail server such as gmail, yahoo, etc. For example : smtp.email.ws

My ISP said that if you are using our mail service(such as umut1979@ttnet.net.tr), you can use our outgoing mail server.

While you use another email sevice, they must provide their own outgoing mail server.

In the present, I can't use my ws mails to send an email with outlook. Interesting!

I was looking through the FAQ, there seems to be only POP and IMAP.
Not sure about smtp. You may want to check with support.
Have you considered forwarding your .ws email to your other email accounts?

You can only use the outgoing mail server of your ISP.  That varies from ISP to ISP so you will have to check your ISP's help pages or call them up.

Hey,

     I had been using email with my .ws domain name.
I decided  to  change it to email forwarding to my roadrunner email  acct. temp.

Well I needed to check an email that was in my web mail acct. Went to retrieve it and found that my web mail acct no longer existed. So all emails that were  there are gone. I did not see anything in FAQ that this would happen if you had your email forwarded. I thought that my acct would stay intake in case I wanted to change it back or if I needed to check and old email. If I missed something  let me know. Also if there is not any info on this probaly should be.

   So I had to set up my email acct with web mail again and lost all my emails some with info I need. Just wanted to relay this info to the forum.

Steve

Hi Steve, I have not used the email forwarding facility, but I would have thought that this option would have been an added extra and not an 'instead of'
I'd be interested to know what support made of this, before I decide to use it myself.
Cheers All the best Dave

I am still pretty new and I am confused on what to put for my removal Email line in case someone decides to opt out of email.  I am promoting my.ws/vprofits site and I dont know what my email opt out signature should be.  Can anyone help me.  I have purchased leads and don't know how to get it in my autoresponder, because I don't what the opt out email signature should be.

Hi VDaniel ,

May I know what autoresponder program are you using ?
Most would already have that automatically included in all your emails sent out, so you don't need to do anything.

If you are using  an autoresponder to contact the leads you have purchase then the opt out line should automatically be placed somewhere at the bottom of all the mailings by the company you use. I believe they must do this to cover themselves against spam laws.

Hope this helps

I find that it is easier to use my regular e-mail addresses that i am already using. But, the credibility thing is a very good point.

i dont think it is fair that you cant use genuine lists of oppurtunity seekers who have said they would welcome business leads, this just seems like this is strictly a money decision!!

 Angry I actually have my main box at gmail, but I keep my ws email here and it is just full of spam.
Out of 500 emails 3 were not spam.

How can I set up a spam filter? I created a folder, named it spam, and moved all the email
there, but I don't think that is going to fix it Wink

Anybody out there can help me with this issue please. I really don't need all that Viagra and Cialsis! Cheesy

Thank you, whoever you are.... Grin

Hello Linda,

You may want to try Spam Arrest: http://www.spamarrest.com/
