Hi everyone,

This post doesn't exactly deal with GDI, but many of us use sites like Facebook to market with.

As you know, some people's accounts get hacked and, even though the people who do this are plain bad, it really is up to us to protect ourselves.

So, if you use Facebook please make sure you are using their Secure Browsing option.

To see if you are using the secure browsing option go to Facebook, log in and look at the top address bar:

If it just says http and not https there is a setting you need to change.

On the top right of your Facebook page click on Account and then Account Settings.

Find where it says Account Security and click on Change.

Place a check next to where it says Secure Browsing (https) and click Save.  It will look like this:

Now you are using secure browsing!

I know this doesn't have anything to do with GDI per se, but since so many of us use Facebook for marketing GDI I thought this was really important.

I truly hope it helps.

Thank you for posting this. I have been concerned about security and privacy issues with Facebook and have considered cancelling my account there altogether.
