HELLO GDI MEMBERS
One day said to myself how can reach a totally new market who have money and the need for web presence.
I said simple go to where the prospects hang out and drop cards into popular books, magazines, and in pant and shirt pockets while shopping as normal consumer.
You all may say wow thats sneaky I Think it is way to reach people long term it takes time and dedication each week but enjoy the challenge.
On top of this also drop my cards in cashiers hands, with tips for baggers, phone booths, newspaper racks.
Another simple method been using also is when paying bills always include a card or two with my check or payment.
People these methods our not new and with the way email is sometimes you if you really want to start to explode your business have to get out of the
comfort zone and go out and meet people indentify leaders and have them trained to duplicate some of these simple methods.
While at these stores also have simple sign on the back of my car says Tired living Paycheck to Paycheck want to earn more! rcd msg 1-877-578-6210
So no matter where i go advertising while driving or at the movies.
We don't need to re invent the wheel keep it simple and show your members You Care about Them!
God Bless

Hi Howard Couldn't agree with you more...you've given me inspiration to "go back to basics" and I agree with all the other posts that there is too much emphasis on making money as opposed to a superior product. Once your sign-up understands the value of the product, only then would they get excited about selling it and only then will the money come!
I am also new and thought I would make a killing through google ads...well surprise surprise..so I am also going the route of first selling the product, second prove to your sign-up how valuable the product is, identify, train and assist the ones that are excited and after some long old fashioned hard work, sit back and enjoy the income!!!.....and please I am not knocking the internet gurus coz they know what they're doing but for us newbies....hey one can be extremely creative just with old fashioned basics
Has anybody ever thought about a way we can assist one another from a geographical perspective with off-line marketing? ....we're scattered all over the world ( I'm in South Africa)...I don't know why I am saying this...just thinking aloud!
William

Great idea, Norma! I'm going to write that down on my GDI marketing plan and place classified ads in college newspapers and place flyers in my local community college.

Is it possible for me to design my own banners? or do I have to get permission/approval from GDI first before I can use them?
ie. It would be nice if I could have a selection of colours and content depending on which (of my own few w/sites) would suit best.

Hello! Well, I've designed my own logo for promoting GDI regarding to my username and Chip advised me to contact Support department for approval! This is (I think so) similar thing so maybe would be best to turn directly to them!!! By the way, they approved me logo and is seen on www.tatjanap.ws (for now) Best wishes! Tatjana

Thanks Yes, it was mainly the colours I wanted to change (to go with various site backgrounds), but as I'm always coming up with ideas, I wonder if I'd have to have approved every one of them. ~Karen

Well - do one in my colours - you know - as sonce (sun) yellow and orange!!! It would be great! Do you like sun colours?? And go ahead and write to support. Put the ideas on the table and then you'll be able to see if they'll approve them or not. If you won't show them, they won't know that you have any at all! SO - ACTION!! Tatjana

Another great idea, Norma! I may see if I can come up with a neighborhood letter. We have a neighborhood association where I live, and it might be something they might like for posting events in the community, etc. I've also thought of contacting churches. Many churches don't have websites, especially some of the smaller ones. This might be of great interest to them. And, by offering it to them in a way where they could make extra income with it I think would be a real blessing to them. I'm not sure if it would be better to call them on the phone or first send them a letter and then follow it up with a phone call. If anyone out there has done this and has any sample letters or scripts in this regard, I'd greatly appreciate any help or suggestions. Keep thinking of those great ideas, Norma! Anne Marie

There are a lot of uninformed people out there who think if they promote their affiliate link a couple times they will be successful. This is not true as there are many people out there who are doing the same thing and not making any money.
The truth is whatever you are promoting online; you must build your list and put all prospects on a drip campaign. I am going to share with you how I build my GDI business using the drip campaign technique.
FREE is the most powerful word in your advertising campaign. I constantly advertise the following FREE benefits of visiting my GDI site.
Submit 12 million Ads for FREE! 1000 FREE Leads per day for Life! Free Sotfware Free ebooks Live seminars.
As you can see, I have something for everyone, whether you are promoting nutritional products, movie and books clubs, legal and tax help programs. Something for everyone and I am giving people a compelling reason WHY to visit my site. I am helping everyone and at the same time building my e-mail list.
Everything on my site captures information. I then put each verified person on a drip campaign. I send an e-mail on a Sunday (first drip) encouraging them to see my GDI Flash presentation.. 2 days later (drip) another e-mail reminding them again about the GDI Flash presentation and 2 days later (drip) another one. Sunday and Tuesday could be bad days to look, but Thursday might just be right. This again is called a drip campaign. People are busy and don’t always have time to look. After a while however, a dripping faucet will cause someone to take note and take action.
By the way, all my messages say very little creating mystery and just encouraging them to see the personalized Flash presentation. Many people out there are saying way too much. Little is better.
If you have any questions about the above, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Take care,
Alan Alan Zibluk Bethany, CT

Tatjana Well, see what you think of this one: http://karenbristol.ws/Page2/citrusbanner1.gif It may take a while to fully download, then you right click on the pic and then click 'save picture as' to your hard-drive....upload this to where-ever you store your files, then you would need to incorporate this into your webpage using the html code: <a href=" http://website.ws/kvmlm2/my.dhtml?sponsor=YOURMEMBERNAME"><img src="http:// THEPLACEWHEREYOUUPLOADYOURFILE/citrusbanner1.gif" border=0></a> Only problem is, so far, is that I emailed support but haven't received a reply yet ~Karen
