31  Administration / Forum Rules, Forum Tutorials, and GDI FAQs / Re: GDI Premium FAQs on: June 07, 2011, 09:59:31 AM
If I were to sign up for Premium after a couple of months will I still be eligible for the bonus on my downlines that have already signed up or do I have to be a Premium member before they sign up as premium members?

Hello Trevor,

As stated in the Contest Eligibility Requirements:

Your account must be paid and in good standing. You must either be a current GDI Premium customer, or have purchased at least ten (10) DVDs through your GDI account. The GDI Premium or DVD purchase must have been made during the same week or prior to the week for which you wish to qualify.

Your referrals will be counted for one calendar week. A "week" is defined as 12:00am Monday through 11:59pm Sunday, Pacific Time.

The formula is simple: For every 5 new accounts signed up by an affiliate during the indicated date range, they receive $100. Only new signups that convert to paying customers on our first charge attempt on their 7th day when their free trial ends are counted towards bonuses.

Because of our free 7-day trial, there is a one week delay after the contest week ends before your number of confirmed referrals can be determined. Each person will only ever count once toward a weekly bonus and must be an active paid account in good standing at the time of bonus calculation.

You'll need a PayPal or Alertpay account to collect your prize money. Affiliates in good standing may earn unlimited weekly bonuses.*

So in other words...no, you wouldn't receive bonus payments for any downline members which have already signed up under you unless they had signed up on or during the week you upgraded to premium.
32  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: Loading time on: June 01, 2011, 09:27:09 AM
How am I supposed to promote my business when anything related to my website takes 45 sec to a min to load?  Every time I try and open my site:  http://dreamsofbliss.ws/  it just hangs for a long time to the point that it feels like its going to time out.

I've also noticed that with Explorer 7 I can't access anything on the GDI member's website.  All the options on the left for managing your account simply fail to function with Explorer 7.  In firefox, they work fine.

These seem like serious issues.  How can I instill confidence in a potential new member when they can't even load the web pages?

Hello Randy,

We have tested your website and load time using the latest versions of Internet Explorer (IE9 anD IE8) and FireFox (3.6 and 4) browsers, your website displays properly using the mentioned browsers. Please note that as browsers become outdated the potential for them not to display a website properly increases.

With regards to instilling confidence in a potential customer and how their website loads...please note that every website is different and the content of them varies (Content plays a big part on how a website displays). Also, the way the website is coded and how the coding is laidout and read by the browser will also have a say on a website's loading time.

Hello Ben,

We currently accept only the following payment methods:

1. Credit Card
2. Debit Card
3. Pre-paid Card
The card must meet the following requirements:
   *15-16 card number
*3-4 digit security code (located on the back of the cards)
   *an expiration date
   *one of the following logos
      -American Express
      -Visa
      -Discover
      -MasterCard

4. PayPal (www.paypal.com)

If your friend has a PayPal account already set up then all he needs to do is login to his PayPal account from within his GDI account from within the "Preferred Payment Method" section. It seems that your friend might be attempting to sign up for another PayPal account or possibly be clicking on adding an alternative funding source.

If your friend continues to experience difficulties attempting to register using their PayPal account then please have them contact our Support Department by email at support@wsdomains.ws or you may call (1)760-602-3000 Monday-Friday from 8AM-5PM Pacific Standard Time. Please listen to the entire list of telephone choices in order to ensure you reach the proper department.

NOTE: Our office hours are based on the Pacific Standard Time Zone. Please make sure when contacting our office that you please do so from a time in your local time zone that is within GDI’s hours of operation. 34  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: Login Problem on: May 23, 2011, 10:41:30 AM
Hi,

A few months ago I told GDI support that if you visit www.website.ws and click the login in pannel in the upper right it doesn't let you log in. You can only log in from the members sub page.

Guess, what? It's still not working.

Come on guys, GDI is falling apart and you really need to look at your business model or have you decided to walk away and it's a dead company?

Regards,

David

Hello David,

We are unsure of what you may be referring to, the login section at both website.ws and website.ws/members is and has been working properly. We have several thousand customers logging into their accounts using both options on a daily basis. The only issue that you might have possibly encountered a while back was that when visiting website.ws and using the login feature, you would need to click on "login" button in order to successfully login, otherwise if you hit the "enter" key on your keyboard it would return a blank login section. This issue has since been resolved.
35  .WS/GDI Discussion / General Comments / Re: I have not made any money yet on: May 09, 2011, 01:13:14 PM
A pyramid scheme is a pyramid scheme...the only people making the real money are at the top...(people who started when GDI wasnt so saturated) I just cancelled my account and got offered 3 free months... so ima take advantage.

Hello Jeff,

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However, just to be clear, Pyramid marketing schemes are illegal. GDI offers a tiered affiliate program which is neither a pyramid nor illegal. Pyramid schemes require that the newcomer pay or sacrifice something for nothing in return. Our program offers a service (domain registration, website hosting, email service, domain forwarding, etc.) to our new affiliates. They are also not required to participate in the program and if they wish, they can just take advantage of the services; which some customers do.

The status of some of our more established is no different than being at a normal 9-5 job and some employees having seniority over new comers. Do some of them earn more than other new members? Sure. Was it through hard work that they have the status they do? Of course. Was anything given to them? No. That is the biggest misconception people have. People assume all of the established members were given their status or commissions based on their time in the program. All of the established members got to where they are on their own. They worked hard and diligently on driving traffic to their sites. Once they accomplished that, the next step was to sell themselves and convince their prospects/downline members that they were making the right move by joining under them. As you can see, this is not something easy to do.

So on the flip side, can a new comer work his way to the top? sure! it happens all the time. Just take a look at the LB. Through hard work and dedication anything can be achieved! Do not give up on your GDI business.

Is it possible to transfer ownership of my GDI business to a family member?

Hello Gregory,

An Affiliate may not sell, assign, or otherwise transfer his or her GDI business.

Hello David,

Prior to removing thread I think maybe we should give Michael Petty a chance to elaborate a bit more on his post-it notes strategy.

Can I edit the welcome letter that goes out to new members?

I notice that there is a letter that goes out from me to new members. If possible I would like to use it to direct them to my support site.. making things a bit more automatic for me.

Hello Ian,

Affiliates are unable to edit the welcome letter sent out by GDI. If you wish to send out a personalized welcome letter to all your new sign ups, you are more than welcome to do so from within your own personal email account.

Is the invite system working?

I sent an invite to myself to test it over an hour ago and still haven't received it.

Does anyone know how long it takes?

Thanks

Wendy

Hello Wendy,

The invite system is working correctly. There are some ISPs and Email service providers that consider certain emails or key words in emails to be SPAM and will filter and or block them out completely from being received. Unfortunately this is not something we can control.

We are constantly working with several email service providers and ISP's to ensure delivery of our invitation emails. If you have contacts with email addresses that do not receive the invitation, you may wish to send them a link to your information site directly from your own email account. This usually tends to helps email deliverability.
40  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: E-Mail services think .ws is spam! on: March 28, 2011, 10:25:18 AM
I sent an invite to my manager then myself here at Arizona State University. Well, they never, ever came, obviously blocked by our super spam filters. I sent one to my yahoo accout and it went through, albeit, to my spam folder. I then sent again to my manager to his Cox account, but it never went in there either. I had to send him the one from my Yahoo account.

Has anyone else come across this problem? It truly is a little disheartening to think perhaps many of our e-mail contacts are not being received.
 Cry

OK I just did some testing myself first using the GDI inviter and sending to my gmail, msn, and yahoo accounts. Only the one to my gmail landed in my inbox. The other landed in the spam folder. Very strange too considering there's not many spam trigger words in that invite email.

The other experiement I did was sending from my .ws email account to all three same emails and writing about another biz opp I do and using more trigger words or phrases like "earn 2% daily", "extra income", "triple your money". So this email makes it through to my yahoo and gmail inboxes and does not get to my msn account at all, not even the spam folder. Msn I think is notorious for being the worst.

My conclusion, out of these three gmail was the best for receiving my emails into the inbox.
It's really hit or miss with this stuff though and every email client has it's quirks.

How do you use the Help section in Mail? The search function is inoperative.

Hello Ronald,

We are unsure of what you may be referring to. This is the first time anyone has reported issues with the "Help" section in email.ws. We have tested the "Help" section as well as the integrated "Search" function and both are working properly.

Are you attempting to use the integrated "search" function as a normal "search" function (example: Google, Yahoo, Bing)? If so, it will not work as such for the "search" function is only meant to search the "Help" section for information regarding email.ws functions. For example, you may type "folders" in the search section and the results given will be any topic in which the word or subject refers to "folders".

If you need further assistance feel free to post a reply or if you wish, you may contact our Support Department by email at support@wsdomains.ws or you may call (1)760-602-3000 Monday-Friday from 8AM-5PM Pacific Standard Time. 42  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: Why am i not on potential leaderboard on: March 28, 2011, 10:03:19 AM
i have 5 potential signups for week mar 21 to mar 27 but i am not on potential leaderboard

last week i had 7 potential signups and i was on potential leaderboard on sunday march 20 and then i disappeared from leaderboard.

I am a premium member. I have sent a support question last monday or tuesday re last week but did not recieve reply. I sent another one yeaterday re this week.

Can somebody explain why i not on leaderboard

Hello Mairead,

For security purposes we are unable to go through specifics regarding your account but as stated in the Leaderboard section from within your account.

"This section shows the potential leaderboards for our current weekly bonus contest. For every 5 new accounts signed up by an affiliate during the indicated date range, they potentially receive $100.

This is to be used as a guide to see how top affiliates are performing. The amounts shown are not guaranteed. These leaderboards are updated in real-time, so expect to see the amounts change. Only new signups that convert to paying customers on our first charge attempt on their 7th day when their free trial ends will be counted towards bonuses."

If one or more of your sign-ups failed to convert it is possible that could have been the reason for you not appearing in the Confirmed Leaderboard. It is also possible that maybe you failed to qualify due to not meeting a different contest rule. To view the contest rules you may do so by visiting:

Hello everyone.
A few days ago I get the comment that GDI will use Alertpay as payment would be fantastic, I hope it's true and soon, where I live alertpay is much easier without so many complications such as Paypal
 Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin

Hello Julio,

AlertPay currently does not support automated recurring billing, so they will not work for our needs as a preferred payment method at this time. If they eventually update their systems to support this feature, we will revisit potentially adding them as yet another way for our customers to make payments.

Hi guys,

My name's Chris.  I just signed up w/ GDI today and created my domain (workonline365.com) but when I type that domain into google search...nothing comes up..am I missing something here?  Also, just starting is a little overwhelming, Im just trying to get an idea of where to start really...is there some sort of detailed tutorial video available for new members to help them get pointed in the right direction? Or are we just left for the wolves?

thanks

Hello Chris,

GDI does not automatically submit your website to any search engine. You will need to register your domain with the search engine of your choice in order for you web address to be cataloged and ranked or wait for them to eventually catalog and rank your website based on their web crawlers.  You can also use the search engines help section for specific information on how to register and submit your domain.

As far as a video tutorial, unfortunately, we do not offer one. However, a lot of the answers that you may seek can be found here in the forum. It's just a matter of searching for them. There is a search box located on the top right hand corner of the page where you can search by keywords for answers to questions you may have. If you are unable to find the answer, then you are more than welcome to post your questions here in the forum or contact GDI's support department.
45  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: 403 Forbidden on: January 27, 2011, 09:11:12 AM
hello my site now says Forbidden You don't have permission to access / on this server.

is there any suggestions to fix this?

Hello William,

Typically, Error "403 Forbidden" is a result of having changed your domain's DNS settings to "Hosting" but not having any content uploaded in your root directory yet. Therefore the domain has no content to display online so whenever someone visits the domain it gives an error message such as the one you encountered. Once you upload your website content via FTP, your domain's content should display properly.
