1  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: What are the basic things to do to be successful? on: November 03, 2007, 04:06:55 PM
This is a great string as it help me better understand simple issues to address with my team ... basic get starting issues are the biggest stumbling blocks.

Duane's points are simple and easy to execute.

The business is not complicated ... you are solving solutions ... people need/want websites with specific names but can't get them because they are all bought up ... solution is .ws

Validate .ws by letting people know that Corporate America is already using the extension ... let them know about the business opp ... the cards are the simplest method and very effective.

The toughest part of GDI is finding your bearings.

That's why I offer my team a simple to use system and all the tools they need in my member site-

The point is often made about replication ... but the key is replicating what works. The missing ingredient then is only action.

If you don't have a good process then you put 20 hours into an approach that simply will waste time and money-

Basic marketing principles still hold true online and really should guide your daily efforts.

Evaluate every day what is working .... are you getting sign ups after three weeks ... no- then try another approach-

Market where business seekers are and provide them solutions not just opportunities ...

And most of all learn the business of marketing and how to use technology to automate and simplify your business.

After 10+ years in marketing, I read and learn every day.

Everyone has the capacity to learn but do you have the desire to change and take action?

Either they get or they don't ... now some people just need the time to better understand and if you provide them solutions also that helps!
4  .WS Business / WS Internet Show / Re: Mentoring & Coaching Your TEAM on: November 03, 2007, 04:06:55 PM
I've said it before ... I don't understand why uplines treat information like secrets with their teams.

I asked a  lot of questions when I first signed up and got nothing but yes and no answers ... that was strange!

In MLM, I don't succeed if my downline doesn't succeed.

Therefore, they get the best I have to offer and I treat them like a golden sales teams and provide them every tool I can!

I also provide them training modules so they better understand the business and why it's not rocket science, but rather mostly action and focus ... like any other sales driven business.

5  .WS/GDI Discussion / General Comments / Re: Upliners - help on: November 03, 2007, 04:06:55 PM
Nicole

I'm not computer savvy at all,  How can I become the upline that I want to be to my downline if my upline is not on the level with me.  Some one in my upline wants me to give them my ID & Password and said they would get me started with email addys and send the Presentation on my behalf Is this a wise thing to do?? Should I trust my up line to do this for me,  Is this a standard Practice for the up line to help the down line this way??

Thanks
Mike Anthony

I do it for my donwline ... I hope that they actually take the templates I provide and do it for themselves ... but it is ultimately my responsibility ... at least in my view.

I try provide everything in one area and automate it so it can replicated ... newbies just have to tell their new sign ups to go  to my member site and it's all laid out ... I did as much for them but also to simplify my day and lessen direct contact while still provide solutions instantly-Nevertheless I always answer e-mails
6  .WS Business / Training / Re: Success Requires Focus! on: November 03, 2007, 04:06:55 PM
Try to provide solutions to your sign ups ... and offer something of value ... think about it from a potential sign up's view ... why should I sign up with you and how will you help them get started and move beyond the first few weeks ... it's hard not toget frustrated but stay focus by creating a daily agenda and learn the business by reading every day ... I learn something every day!
7  .WS Business / Training / Re: Daily Plan of Action on: November 03, 2007, 04:06:55 PM
Yes!!!! Grin

Plan of Action and Goals - I believe this is the most important part of any business.

You must have an agenda and know what you HAVE to do and have a specific time ... otherwise you WILL wander!

8  .WS Business / Marketing / Re: Marketing Methods/Ideas on: November 03, 2007, 04:06:55 PM
I love using business cards ... make a it priority to leave behind every day and every time you mail anything.

I have a couple of different designs but keep it simple ... it's a numbers game but places where people read anything is the best ... doctors offices, karate or dance studios, gyms, ...

Posting is the most profitable process as it also gets high search rankings if you do it correctly and use key words.

Same with blogging ... especially if you find a good niche ... type in "GDI marketing" in google search and you'll see what I mean!

Otherwise, keep looking for where you market is then reach out to them using appropriate methods -
9  .WS Business / Team Building / Re: Share Retention Techniques... on: November 03, 2007, 04:06:55 PM
I've added a library of training modules to my member site in the hopes of better educating my team on principles of marketing and online business related topics.

I want them to become more successful than me! The goal is to stimulate them and become innovative and focussed on 1 hour a day of solid marketing and results instead of chasing guru hype.

If you are doing a flyer make sure to include tear aways at the bottom so people can rip off the contact info and take with them ... otherwise they will not likely remember your info.

I create my own using half sheets and place where moms and families spend time ... doctors offices, dance studios, karate, gyms, pizza parlors ... business cards are even better and look much more professional looking.
11  .WS Business / Team Building / Re: Share Retention Techniques... on: October 31, 2007, 09:47:59 AM
Answer every question, provide training, motivate and provide incentives and over deliver to your best customers ... your downline!
I have a team site that provides a system approach, tools leads 24 hours day and I respond to every e-mail and question-
I also focus on training on MLM rather than just GDI to retain them and help become productive and for them to become innovative.
12  .WS Business / Marketing / Re: What "tools" do you need to succeed... on: October 31, 2007, 09:47:59 AM
Great poll ... I constantly ask my team what they need ... and provide it to them. Training on internet marketing is critical so they understand the basics rather than just push affiliate pages. If they learn how to earn you are more likely to reatin them since they'll be more likely to understand how powerful MLM can be and stay being a few weeks ... guaranteeing you stable team and income
13  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: Bonuses on: October 31, 2007, 09:47:59 AM
I too am getting alot of responses but no sign ups! I have even created a yahoo group dedicated to low income people trying to find work from home called Work for everyone!  18 members in the past few days since I started it, but no bites yet on the GDI program. Any advice on how I can reassure people? I would appreciate it!

Thanks, Michelle

Perhaps you could show them how you (or others) are succeeding, provide them the tools to succeed and show them that they will have help along the way ... I provide training modules for my team and leads in a free member only section on my site.
14  .WS/GDI Discussion / General Comments / Re: Importance of sending welcome mail to your referrals on: October 31, 2007, 07:16:33 AM
I have created welcome letters for my team to use ... interesting how many don't take the 2 minutes to simply sign their name at the bottom ... so I greet every sign up ... takes 2 minutes to send them pre-written e-mail telling them how to get started ... and then follow up weekly to show support create momentum. It's important though to provide specific steps to take and get them engage in simple steps to get their confidence moving in the right direction and feel good ... I usually place a new sign up under them to help get them excited about the potential. Smiley
15  .WS Business / Training / Re: How do you handle a new prospect on: October 31, 2007, 07:16:07 AM
When I first started, I asked questions but only got yes and no answers from my upline ...

It was like they didn't want to give "the secret" away. That doesn't make any sense with your team and line.

You only succeed if they succeed in MLM.

That's why one of my first priorities was to canvass the best approaches, get as many answers as possible and find low cost
methods with high return on investments ... took more time than I had imagined, especially given my background in marketing.

So now my prospects get all the tools, info and leads they need to take specific action daily ... the challenge is getting people to take 1 hour of action a day.

That's where sending e-mails and staying in contact helps. Just remind them that they have help, the tools and ability (if they try) to get sign ups-

I also provide more than 15 types of training modules on just about every MLM related issue so they can learn how to earn rather than just
follow blindly and in turn train their downline ... the benefit is less of learning curve to get started but long term learning opp to sustain their business and retain
existing sign ups.

The best benefit is that it's almost automatic & works like a true sales team ... I spend more time now maintaining the "sales kit" and tools ... I also constantly research new
approaches for us to use   ... so if you have anything that's working for you and are willing to share (I can keep "secrets") let me know and I'll do the same-
