I am having so much fun with my website. It has landed me many new gigs. I'm a professional actor/vocalist. Thanks GDI. Grin

Good job Nathan. The only thing - on the Audio/Video page nothing is available. Um, well, what I meant, nothing is clickable ... Maybe you should reconsider to correct this.

Interesting site, something totally different from the business we're doing here.

Hello Nicola!

Nice site, good job. Hmmmm, I like the background of it ... -  Cheesy Well, on the page "Company information" you put the same text twice, so you may maybe reconsider to delete one ... Otherwise you did really excellent job. I hope you have a lot of success with this page!

Have a beautirul day!

19  .WS Services / Showcase Your Website / Re: My First WS website on: February 14, 2006, 10:11:43 PM
Greetings,

I finally made it and did it with no help.  I created my very first site that I FTP'd successfully.  I really feared working with FTP, which is why it took me so long to design a site outside of GDI's template system; now, I am asking myself, why was I so afraid.  I have used GDI's and other template systems; but, I started having old desires that I wanted to create my own design.  Well, with trial and errors, here it is at last!

I can honestly say that GDI is my first experience with creating a site from scratch along with using FTP for the first time as well.  I now have more confidence in my ability to work on creating a website and using FTP!  Also, pushiing myself to step outside of the box of being afraid of doing this, has opened up new desires of interest for me.

My site is whyjoin.ws.

Thanks for viewing my site!

Pat

Hello Pat!

Well, people being afraid of something (in this case doing website on their own) is the major cause which prevents one to do something. I've realized more than one time especially here by GDI that people are too afraid of doing a webpage even with the GDI templates what even on their own. Majority is afraid of what the other people might say. But listen - no one will do anything but say his (or her) own opinion and that's it. And different opinions are always welcome (at least by me) SO DON'T BE AFRAID. THESE THINGS HERE DON'T BITE!!!

Your site is really cute, but I don't know why I'm seing the text on some parts is covered with pictures or the oposite. Maybe it's the resolution of my screen, I don't know, but that's how it is.

Otherwise you did great job. Continue that way!

hello!

I'll continue where Shai Bar finished:

Is the "Translation project" still running or is it a bit held off for a while. I've expressed the desire to help by Slovene language where it comes to it, and then I've received the info about the whole translation project for some time, but all of the sudden the info stopped and I can't see any translated webpages into German, French and Spanish as it was said.

Did I overlooked something?

No offence. I'm just qurious.

Hello Hilda

Your site http://www.IyahseeProm.ws  appears just fine and it's quite interesting. Only thing I'd do would be that I would enter the text at the bottmo of the first page as HTML content and not ordinary text so that you could make a list (like 1st, 2nd ...) and you would not have all the text in one simple paragraph... You should also check the link on the last but one page to the form. It's not working and so the button you have there at the bottom is useless.

Otherwise you did good work.

22  .WS Services / WebSite Development / HELP!!!!! I NEED IMMEDIATE HELP!!!!! on: December 24, 2005, 03:05:35 AM
Dear GDI-ers!

Now I need immediate help as the support department is off for the whole weekend!

I had created the tittle page of my websites long ago and I wanted to add a banner - not from GDI, but mine one. I've done something with the HTML code in HTML editor in sitebuilder and all my page is gone except the so called banner (which doesn't work) remained. The trouble is that the button EDIT doesn't work and I cant reverse the things I've done.

HOW WOULD I BE ABLE TO REVERSE THE THINGS AND BE ABLE TO EDIT THE PAGE AGAIN!!!

PLEASE HELP ME AS I WOULD LIKE TO FINISH THIS TODAY!

Thank you very much!!!!

P.S I see that this was merged with HTML QUESTIONS but this is basically not related with HTML codes but it CONCERNS SITEBUILDER ITSELF. WE HAVE NO OPTION TO UNDO OUR WORK IF WE'RE NOT SATISFIED WITH IT OR IF SOMETHING WENT WRONG LIKE THIS WAS IN MY CASE and I've put it in SEPARATE TOPIC because I NEEDED IMMEDIATE HELP! Now it has no use anyway ... THANK YOU!

23  .WS Business / Marketing / Re: christmas gifts on: December 10, 2005, 12:51:59 AM
Hi everyone. I had a brainstorm. I wanted to pass out christmas gifts to my friends but i wanted to give them a 30 day free membership to gdi. ($10)  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this. How would i be able to pay in advance for them ?  How could i make up a gift certificate ? etc. etc.

It's really very simple and we've done this for some of our downline members without the payment method. If you have PayPal acount you can pay their membership for them. All what they need is to contact you and give you their username and password that you'll be able to set up the payment method for them as your PayPal acount. Even if they then change their password you're able to cancel paying them in your PayPal acount.

Well, all thing has a bit catch as you have to trust each other - the prospect has to trust you his username and password and you have trust him that he won't use this payment method for anything else as the monthly fee ... It worked for us so far.

THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT!!!!! SO EVERYBODY PLEASE READ THIS AND TAKE A NOTE OF IT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HAVE UNNECCESSARY PROBLEMS!!!

What I've written above is 100 % true and sure, but you have to be extreamly careful with paying the fee for the other people also:

You are allowed to pay only up to 5 acounts with one PayPal acount or credit card, NOT MORE!!!! If you won't respect this rule your acount will be disabled due to abuse.

Also if we're speaking here about the GDIs invite system and invitations note this:

You only can use GDIs leads for which the invitations will be send automatically or YOU MUST KNOW THE PERSONS YOU ENTER IN PERSONALLY. Also if you don't respect this rule your acount will be disabled due to abuse.

So that means that all the external leads you are not allowed to put into the GDIs invite system and the best solution is to subscribe to one free (or maybe even pay some monthly fee) autoresponder to send this kind of invitations.

We expirienced the thing with paying more then 5 acounts with one PayPal acount so we know the best that this is for sure.

Otherwise I wish to all of you a happy and most all healthy new year and HAPPY GDIing of course!!!

Thankyou for having a look at my sites Tatjana and your positive review. I suppose I'm perhaps too much of a perfectionist and think that things could be better.
However I'll still be working on them and hopefully will become more positive as time goes on.
(Sorry I never caught you on line by the way.)

Regards Colin.

Well Colin, then join the club. I'm much of the perfectionist, too but I love those little sites like your is with not so much text but that that little text tells you all, and that's what is most appriciated.

During being affiliate to this business I've learned to be positive where it's possible but it's not always so - some members here know that. I can be very hard in crirics also.

Best wishes to ALL OF YOU AND SORRY IF I WAS TOO HARD ON SOMEONE!!!!

25  .WS Business / Marketing / Re: How about two domain names? on: November 23, 2005, 11:17:55 PM
I'm new, just out of my trial period.  I don't have my website set up yet, and I thought of a new domain name that I think I like better than my original one.  I'd like your opinions on whether I should change or keep both?  Is there any advantage to having two?

DebraM

Why in the name of God do you always think about cancelling the acount (goes to Deborah) for purcheesing another domain. As far as I know you can run (or have as you wish) 5 domain names on one acount, without cancelling it. The monthly fee is 5 x 10 $ of course, but if you need those 5 domains, why not.

Debra so if you need two domains, you just purcheese another you like better in your existing acount, but if you need only one, then make another and delete the first, that's it. (I'm suggesting the order as I've written - first make another and then delete the first). Cancelling your acount because of the domain name would result the new acount and appearantly loosing your downlines (if you already have some) and having two acounts (what I remind you is forbidden) would result working on two sides, but sometimes it's hard to get some people as your downlines even for one acount ...

That's all I have to say here ...

I wish you'll succeede in all you do and however you'll decide!

Hello Everyone,
I just wasn't happy with my last site so I made a complely new one.
What do ya think?

http://www.cyber-place.ws

Jennifer

Jennifer, I must agree with Rod. You really made a great job, but however I think on the page Cybe-info you have too much text with no graphics (what is extreemly frustrating for me) and on the page Cyber-forum you should maybe write just a little amount of text (kind of invitation to enter the forum or something like that) that site wouldn't appear so empty and (sorry to say that) boring.
Oh and I've seen that you've used Logan's add on your Cyber-Adds site. It goes with it very well, you couldn't choose better.
The cat - it's extraordinary - is it yours???

Have many success!

(Oh, I'm teaser today - sory I just feel so great!)

Hmmm, well Jeremiah, you have cute little site with all kinds of things there. One day I'll have to take some more time to explore them all. Tell me, will this on the top one day become a banner to your other domain? It wurally would be great and I thought it's already done this way, but I saw then, that your other domain is forwarded to this one.

Great job anyway ...

(oh, well, I should explore your music links ...)

Hey Colin!

Well, it's 7:27 am here and I may see a bit wrong, sipping my first coffee and having my eyes more closed then opened, but would you please be so kind and explain to me what looks so UNPROFESSIONAL on your sites?

For me they both appear great and you have just enough info there for one making business ... And this is all about isn't it?

Now, you've resolved the problems you appearantly had and made these two sites and from this point you have to boldly go further. In a time you'll learn more and more and your sites will look even more professional.

Oh, hey, and good morning as I'm seing you're online now!!!

Have a great day!

Well, as the previous theme is locked, let's continue here.

I would like to reply to the author of the page www.tommylarsen.ws.

Rod mentioned that you should change the pure links at the top of the page with some hypertext as Click here or More info. Well, that kind of URLs aren't only at the top of the first page, but everywhere on the pages.

The second thing is a bit too wide text at the bottom of the first page. The font can be so large - it's OK, but it would be better if the text rows  would be closer one to another - I mean maybe it should contain every row and not only every second. (Oh, I can't tell it different ...)

The third thing is that at the last (3rd page) you wanted to put a HTML code for something - I believe here goes for banner, but it's only text there. When putting a HTML code, you have to choose the content as HTML and then you have to CLICK ON THE BUTTON HTML CODE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE HTML EDITOR. Only then you can paste the code and submit it like that. Then the banner (or whatever you wanted it to be) will appear properly.

Sory for so much "criticism", but I just wish for you your page would look as good as possible.

Many warm greetings!

Tatjana

I'm trying to upload some large ebooks to store on my webpage but I can't upload any large files. So far I have uploaded a few smaller ebooks, but anything over about 10 mb won't work. I starts uploading but then after about half an hour it just goes back to the page editor section. The files I'm trying to upload are zip files but I haven't had any problems with the smaller page.

Also, I want to forward my 1st page to a different site, how do I do this?

Any help on either of these would be really really really appreciated.

Belinda

WELL, let's repeat for all of you here!!!!

THE FILES LARGER THEN 8 MB (info from the support to me) YOU'RE NOT ABLE TO UPLOAD IN ANY CERCOMSTANCES!!!!!
[/color]

If it would be possible I would upload my 25 MB ppt Photo Tutorial immediatelly ...
