1  .WS/GDI Discussion / General Comments / Re: Importance of sending welcome mail to your referrals on: March 03, 2007, 04:58:18 AM
Tim,
It can be frustrating when they don't reply because you want everyone to be as enthused as you are. Keep in mind that the GDI opportunity can be overwhelming to some people when they first join. You might send a second e-mail a couple of days later just asking them to confirm they got your first message and once again offer some assistance.

To be successful you've got to help make your downline successful. That means follow up and encourage them. Most people join with the best of intentions but sometimes need that little "nudge" to get them started. Knowing you are in their corner is sometimes just what it takes.

GDI is an excellent opportunity but like anything you've got to work it if you want it to pay off.

Best wishes,
John McConnell

One of the biggest lapses I've seen in my downlines is that members just don't follow up when they get a new sign up. After 7 days your referral has not heard from you and are cancelling their account.   It's important that you follow up right away to let your new referrals know that you are there to help them. It doesn't matter that you yourself may not be able to help, but SOMEONE in your upline can. You're their first point of contact. Heck, some don't even know where to go to log into GDI. You've got to follow up. I've got a simple little welcome letter that I send to all my referrals. Here is a copy. Feel free to use it word for word or alter it for yourself. Either way, follow up - it's your key to success:

Welcome to GDI. I'm your direct upline sponsor and will help you any way I can to make the most of this opportunity. If you need anything send me and email and I'll usually respond same day.

My first piece of advice would be to get started right away. Log into your back office area at http://website.ws/members/ . Use the username and password you set. Once logged in, click the "Invite" link on the left menu. Send the invite to as many people as you can - even if you don't think this is their type of thing. You'll be surprised how many people who you didn't think would join actually end up joining under you.

My second piece of advise is advertise, advertise, advertise! You can advertise for free - you don't have to spend money to advertise on the Internet. Simply go to a search engine and enter "FREE ADVERTISING". Enter your referral link everywhere you can. You may want to set up a junk email account to register your free advertising link because you'll likely get a lot of junk mail from it. It's free and it works.

You can order business cards, dvd's and flyers directly from GDI for offline promotion. Offline promoting does work well because most offline people haven't seen this or similar opportunities. Most everyone is looking for a way to supplement or replace their current incomes.

You should set a personal goal of letting at least 10 people per day know about the GDI opportunity. That can take anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour a day. If you commit to changing your financial status it will happen. I currently am making more than $4,000 per month in GDI commissions and you can too if you put forth a little effort.

You can find a get started guide here: http://website.ws/home/wealthguide

My final piece of advice is to send this same email to those who sign up under you so that they too know where to start.

Thanks for joining the team and let me know if I can help you.

Hello All,

I'm new to GDI. Joined two days ago and really like what I see! This is one of the best I've seen in a long time!
