16  .WS/GDI Discussion / General Comments / Re: What Motivates You? on: March 15, 2014, 02:17:59 PM
Hey there, Mr. Bowmen.

I cannot agree with you more about gratitude.  I've heard it all of my life and, through experience, have learned it to be true.

As a side note, ever notice one of GDI's top banners says, You can have everything you want in life if you just help enough other people get what they want?

Anyway, both are great suggestions for expressing gratitude and/or gratefulness.  I especially like the second and practice it daily.  And it has such an impact.

Not only on the person you are speaking to, that has a little impact.  It has an even greater impact on yourself.

Make it a point to find things in people to compliment them on.  Thank you so much for taking such good care of me helping me find this product.

I saw you rushing to get me my food.  Thank you very much.  It touched me.

Hey, did you get your hair cut?  It looks nice!

Even smiling at people, consciously and for no reason just smiling, is a way to express gratitude and gratefulness too.

(And to tie it into GDI, want to be a good sponsor and make your downline work even harder?  When they refer someone, write them a note and thank them!)

Thanks for the post, Gregory!

17  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: GDI Learning Bonus query on: March 15, 2014, 02:08:29 PM
I'm not 100% sure about this.  I do know that if a person quits and then rejoins, that person does not qualify you for the weekly bonus.

So, my instinct is to say that, no, they will not help you qualify for the learning bonus, either.  It's only a guess, though.

Personally, I would write a support ticket or, if you are able, call GDI support and get the answer from someone in the know.

Hope this helps, perhaps someone else will reply too.

18  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: Invitation query on: March 15, 2014, 01:48:50 PM
Hi,

Under the learning bonus it says, "Send at least 5 invites using GDI Inviters".

To complete that task, you just need to SEND at least 5 invites.  Whether they watch it or not is their own business.

So, simply put, as long as you sent the invitations using the GDI Inviter in your member's area, you qualify for completing that learning bonus task.

Hi Mr. Risbert,

The address you gave (gdiblog.brady2014.ws) would be fine to place in the Learning Bonus area.  That will show that you completed that step.

As far as editing the posts:

Yes, you can absolutely edit the posts.  It's very easy to do in your WordPress Admin Area.  Just click on Posts -> All Posts -> Then under the post you want to edit click the Edit button.  When you are done editing either click update (to publish your changes) or click preview (to see your changes and decide if you want to keep them) or click save draft to save your changes until later.

As far as header:

You can absolutely change what it says.  You'll need to spend some time getting to know your WordPress admin area.

However, every theme is a little different as far as headers, footers and so on.

I would advise that first, again, you get to know your admin area.  Second, visit the GDI tutorials in your GDI members area.  Some great help there.

Also, do a Google search on how to WordPress and you will find some great help out there.  Videos and articles and so on.

So, yes, you can make major changes to your blog.  And it's really easy.  It will just take you a little time to learn all the ends and outs.

Always remember, a blog is not written in stone.  You can change the way it looks, edit posts and pages, erase them or add more.  Never wait for perfection.  It will probably never be perfect in your eyes.  Action is the key.  The rest will come with time and knowledge.

Hope this helped a little.

Good luck and I'll leave a comment on your blog to say hi.  Smiley

Have fun!

This is something you should talk to support with.

In the GDI member's area click on 'Request Support' at the bottom left of the page.

There you can choose the appropriate option and get someone who knows how to help.

Good luck!
21  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: Can someone have two gdi accounts and two separate sponsors? on: February 25, 2014, 11:43:41 AM
Hey there,

In your member area click on the link that says "Documentation".

There you will find a link to the Independent Affiliate Policies and Procedures.

Under section 32 it says:

Quote
32. Multiple Accounts. Any individual may have multiple GDI accounts, whether in their own name or that of a partnership, limited liability company, corporation, or any other entity. However, any individual that has an interest, legal or financial, in more than one (1) GDI business or account will not be paid commissions for the same downline on multiple accounts. For example: if you create an account (A) and then sign up another account (B) directly beneath it, only account B will be paid on B's downline. Account
A can earn commissions on other referrals and their downline, but not from any of B's downline. If your accounts are not in each other's upline/downline, your commission structure will be completely normal. Downlines are non transferable. Attempts to cross sponsor people from where they are to another position within the GDI genealogy while encouraging abandonment of the previous position will not be tolerated and will result in loss of both accounts for the Sponsor violating this policy as well as forfeiture
of any pending commissions and bonuses

Hope this helps!

22  .WS Business / Marketing / Re: Is "Make Over $100,000 Every Month" a Good Headline? on: September 12, 2011, 09:00:08 AM
Hi AnkurP,

For the most part, it DOES sound too good to be true, although as you can see with the income calculator it IS possible, though not probable as not EVERYONE will have the motivation or drive to refer 10 people.

It is known that numbers attract attention, and big numbers attract a lot of attention.  But, personally I stay away from titles like this simply because the first thing people will think, without reading the rest of your ad, is that it IS a scam.

It's very good that in the body of your ad you explain how it could happen, and especially if you put a disclaimer like, "These numbers are used for educational purposes only and do not reflect what will happen as an affiliate, only what could happen under the best of circumstances."

Perhaps a better title would be "Unlimited Monthly Income Potential", or anything with the word potential in it.  As there ARE 6 figure earners in GDI.  It's just not typical.

I think the bottom line though is to do what you feel would be a fair representation and at the same time create excitement about the business.  It's a hard line to walk.

Good luck!

23  Administration / Announcements / Re: What do YOU want us to cover in the webinars? on: September 12, 2011, 08:38:00 AM
Personally, I really miss the old format.  Looking forward to the new format to see what it involves.

As to what --> I <-- would like to see...  Information again for prospects to learn more about GDI (in the old format with Bart the first part was dedicated to prospects).

More fun and user participation.  It seems questions are not answered so much, people are not announced and where is Tim's singing?  We all miss that!  (Except for my cat.  HE didn't appreciate the singing for some reason.)

What I DID like about the new formats was that they were more technical it seemed as far as how to's.  I'm sure everyone can agree that technical information, from building sites to, especially, prospecting, is a big plus.

P.S.  We miss you, Bart!
24  .WS/GDI Discussion / General Comments / Why were you not on the call tonight??? on: July 19, 2011, 06:44:36 PM
Wow!  I just had to pop on here and give kudos to Tim Sebert for the AWESOME help he gave on tonight's conference call.

For those that were on the call, you know exactly what I'm talking about.

For those that weren't make sure you go to the recorded version which should be up in a couple of days and listen.

THIS is why we attend the calls.

Brian also gave some wonderful tips and clued us in to a WordPress plugin I am definitely going to be trying out.

Seriously folks, if you are interested in building an income with GDI you should make every effort possible to be on the calls.  Some cannot, and I absolutely understand that.  But if at all possible, try and attend.  Make sure your team also understands the importance of these calls as well.

For the motivation, for the tips and for the updates on what is happening in our company.

Going back again to tonight's call, if there was a single conference call I would want my team to have been on this was the one.  Some of the advice Tim gave tonight was outstanding (and is fuel for a new blog post too so thank you again, Mr. Sebert.)  Smiley

Hope to see everyone on the next one!

25  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: Referrals on: April 28, 2011, 12:53:42 PM
Hi Tony,

That is the correct link.  But, when I visited it and went to the sign up page it said sponsored by "Tony Wu".

So, perhaps you figured out what the problem was, but either way that is the correct link and Tony Wu showed up for me.  Smiley

P.S.  Remember, you can change the page that is displayed if you go to your GDI member's area and click on "My Replicated Sites."

Smiley

27  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: Search Engines on: April 28, 2011, 09:01:17 AM
Hi Dona,

Your posts will eventually show up in search engines as they crawl around the web.  To make it faster comment on some blogs and include your website URL.  You can also create and submit a site map to search engines.  Go to Google (or any search engine), sign up for an account and go to webmaster tools.  You will also find some awesome advice.

Of course, this is just to get you indexed.  If you want to appear at or near the top of the search engines you will want to learn Search Engine Optimization techniques (or SEO).

Right now on the GDI blog you can find some posts about SEO that will help.  If you click over to my blog (you'll find the link just under my picture) I have also written some posts on SEO.  Just go to my site and do a search.

Have fun!

Hi Robert,

Thank you for the great tips.  Social media is extremely powerful.

Have you seen the Facebook application created by Tissa Godavitarne?  It's called "GDI Watch" and it will automatically post to your Facebook page every few days.  If you have not tried it yet just do a search for GDI Watch on Facebook and you will find it.  Free and automatically coded with your affiliate link.

Thanks again for the tips!

29  .WS Services / WebSite Development / Re: Banner Replacement for Templates Needed on: April 27, 2011, 09:51:43 AM
Hi Collin,

That is a great idea and I, too, hope that in the future more banners will be created for us to use.

BUT, you don't have to rely on GDI to create those banners for you.  There are plenty of free banner creation programs and websites out there that make creating a banner super easy.

Don't worry if you are not a graphic designer.  My girlfriend calls me cross eyed and colorblind when I try to decorate the house.  And yet I STILL have been able to create some very nice banners using the free programs out there.

I won't give any links as there are so many and I definitely would not want to give any sort of affiliate link on these forums.  Just do a search for create banner for free or something similar and you will find one that will suite your needs completely.

Hope this helps.

30  .WS Services / WebSite Development / Re: Can someone please tell me what parked means? on: April 27, 2011, 09:45:59 AM
Hi Margaret,

You may want to contact GDI support for further assistance.

But here is my answer.  Being parked does mean that it will use your replicated website.  If you go into your GDI member's area there is an option to choose which replicated website you wish to use.

Make sure that you are typing the correct domain in, also.  I know, that sounds simplistic but little things like that can become so frustrating.  Today I was fighting with a little program I wrote not working until I realized I was missing one quotation mark.

And, if you 'just' bought it, perhaps it hasn't had time to activate.  Try it again and if you are still having problems call GDI support.  They are EXTREMELY helpful people.  I think they are the only support team I actually enjoy calling.

Really hope this helps.  Let us know what the issue was.
