I admit that the main reason I had trouble was not having enough time to focus on it long enough, but I finally figured out how to put a sound file immediately under my photo on my Website Builder website. If you use separate blocks there is too much space between them.

I thought if I wanted to do it, maybe someone else here could be having the same problem.

It really turned out to be quite simple.

I started with a blank page and added my photo in one block and my sound file in another.

Then I published it and viewed the source. (right click, view source)

Then I cut and pasted the code for each part into notepad, first the photo code, a break, some text, then a break, then the sound file code, a break, and some more text.

I went back to edit the page and deleted both blocks.

Added content as an HTML block and pasted the code from the notepad in the HTML mode.

Saved the page and published it again. http://no-brainer.ws/

That's the basic idea and it's easy now that I know how. If you want to do it and can't get it, contact me.

There is no rule that says you ever have to do a website.

However, my personal opinion is how can you sell what you don't use with any conviction?

I go one step further and say no matter how good you are with HTML, use the Website Builder.
This sets an example and encourages those you sign up.

One thing that should be mentioned, if you are trying to build a business from GDI it helps to use the Website Builder because it included a larger universe of potential prospects. If they see and recognize that this is something they can do themselves, it stands to reason it would produce more signups.

Take the space out of the filename before you upload it. Filenames have all sorts of problems most places except Windows, so don't use them. Put an underline or a dash, but no spaces.

You could use any website to talk about Sourthern Barbeque and this Oregon boy is right there. I just shot you an order and I'm looking forward to solar cooking on my next campout.

Go back and start over. Close everything and logon again, then try to upload without any spaces in the filename. You may have to use Windows to rename the file first with no spaces.

Most autoresponders have code to signup from a form on your website. Then you use that autoresponder to broadcast your newsletter. Each issue should have a link to unsubscribe which is also handled by the autorespoder.

Remember, just because it's an autoresponder dosn't mean you have to use it only to send a series of messages out.

Tatjana, there's no secret, it takes another website. View the source code and you will see the form is running elsewhere because GDI doesn't have CGI enabled.

Your results should give encouragement to so many others here that say they don't know HTML, lke it's some kind of techie only thing. Anyone can learn it in a few hours, or even a few minutes for the basics. With nothing more than a few tags and the SiteBuilder, a nice looking website can be up in a very short time.

Now that you have control, you can make changes as you learn more. One of the first things I would conside is learning about cellpadding in your tables. That keeps the text from jamming up against the edges and is much easier to read.

There are many free tutorials online that anyone can learn the basics from in minutes.

My favorite is http://www.w3schools.com/ because they let you practice right on the website.

Nice job. One thing I would like to point out is you don't have to have your text all in one gob. Just change the Content Type to HTML and use <p> where you want a paragraph break. You don't need to learn a lot of HTML to be effective with this tool.
