1  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: Questions about GDI on: June 26, 2006, 01:20:30 PM
I've tried several programs online with mixed success/failure.  You will find, just as I have, that for $10.00/monthly, how can you go wrong with GDI?  Even if you simply experiment a couple of months and decide this isn't for you, what have you lost?  A few bucks at most.

I read through these forums for kernals of wisdom:  the Secrets of Making GDI Happen Fast (smile).  There are no great hidden secrets, but if you keep researching, you'll find amazing insights to move you forward with this opportunity.

I try NOT to ever HYPE businesses.  With GDI, the video really does say it all.  Followed up by the well layed out website of information and you have available all the information you should need.

Best of luck to you.

Rod,

Thank you.  Thank you.  Thank you!

Your site has been an invalueable resource.   Though I am not a member of your GDI downline, I will be part of your downline in Life Line Leads, Opp Seekers, MLM Lead Genie and BBQ.

Sincerely,

Leon Aldrich

3  .WS Business / Marketing / Shared Web Pages, A Way to Impact Growing Our GDI Business on: January 06, 2006, 03:23:23 PM
Here are three ways I see GDI being developed by members: 1) Don't make a personalized site.  Just market (purchased leads, etc) and let the curious see the GDI ad.  2) Make a site strictly for GDI/Other and market as normal (#1).

The challenge for many of us is,  we have limited or no website skills.  The sites we do build, lack the "oomph" factor.  Tears of joy fell freely after viewing the kokomo site and moms.  It gave me hope that one day I'd have a site worthy of discussion.  But until that day.... 3) Wouldn't it be helpful, if those with the talent (or even GDI itself) put up some samples?   No, not the templates.  Some example pages that could be cut/pasted/cloned to our sites?

How could this be used?

Example:  I'm talking to a realtor.  I ask, "Have you ever thought about having your own website?"  They answer, "Yes, all the time."  I point them to my site and tell them, "View my site examples.  You can have a site like this too."

I think "show casing" example/sample sites on our website can't hurt.  It can only help close many more sales.  Imagine site examples for: realtors, poker rooms, anyone who does fundraising:  boyscouts (note: have you looked at the Boy Scouts of America site?), soccer teams, baseball, high school debate teams, cheerleaders, etc.

You can also showcase examples of dubious or poorly designed sites for comparison.

A picture paints a thousand words.   Let the painting (site examples) do our work for us over verbal and text sparring.  Once anyone sees these examples, they'll be more inclined to participate.

Last note:  These examples would not have actual links or active buttons.   We don't want folks migrating off to other sites.

A key element, is to have YOUR site up and potentially a 2nd site templated to be an example.  Or have YOUR site with a few concept pages of examples.  And promote your link initially.  Have a solid email, concise enough to pull them in.  Though I still think asking someone these two simple questions is strong sales technique w/out coming across as pushy: 1) Have you ever thought of having your own website? 2) Is 10.00 alot of money?

Something I'm missing now, but will fix once my site is completely ready would be to have a duplicatable site with a tutorial on how to tweak it for new person's use.

The ferrari flyer is powerful.  As a past boyscout (almost eagle), how easy it would be for me to knock on a door, give my pitch using such a flyer.

I work in the Real Estate field as an assistant.   Literally, 100's of realtors, title company reps, inspectors (pest, roof, etc) and many other affiliates DO NOT have their own site.  Sites can be nothing more than just a RESOURCE of info.

Sincerely,

Leon Aldrich
