16  .WS Business / Marketing / Re: Phone Contact Rules... on: June 13, 2010, 07:23:35 AM
I have found instant messaging a very useful tool also, along with video conferencing! I am yet to pick up the phone, as most of my down-line are international!  Grin I've been using some pre-written email messages to help ease the need to custom type each message... but on the odd occasion I'll get asked a different set of questions and then need to reply by typing a new message! 17  .WS Business / Marketing / Re: Ads, Flyers and Business Letters on: June 13, 2010, 07:23:35 AM
As far as I know in Australia you can drop flyers into letterboxes, I've found in my previous experience than many boxes have "NO JUNK MAIL" signs on them, so placing flyers in those boxes would be deemed "unsolicited mail" which would in-turn be considered illegal!  Cool
18  .WS Business / Marketing / Re: DVD Full Preview... on: June 13, 2010, 07:23:35 AM
I love the GDI dvd! But I think if this GDI video was played before the DVD video, that would really get new prospects excited to watch the entire DVD!

I would also love to be able to order the GDI DVD's directly to Australia, to my knowledge it is currently not possible!
Thanks again!

hmm... That's disappointing... I guess I'll have to start my site all over again without the video!  Angry
20  .WS Services / WebSite Development / Re: Need Code for Video on: June 08, 2010, 11:02:10 AM
I had previously embedded code from someone elses YouTube video, and now that video has been removed and tonight I noticed my site no longer has the video showing on it... I'm trying to embed the the GDI video shown here: http://website.ws/kvmlm2/index.dhtml?sponsor=cashflowforums&template=11

Am I able to embed this into my html website without using site-builder?
Is GDI able to provide the code necessary for this? It would be a massive help!

thank you for any feedback!
21  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: Sign up new affilates to your downline? on: June 03, 2010, 04:33:11 PM
That's fine, there's always a way around things... I could have the client sign up themselves, I'd never need to personally log into their account, nor would I need their login information. (I would actually prefer not to access their accounts directly anyway!).

I've received a response from WS Support regarding my question and have been told that my idea would be acceptable as long as I do not register new accounts on behalf of new affiliates, and must not force any affiliate to point their domain to my company name-servers (i.e. I will explain to them in full what other great ways they can use their GDI domain for).

Thank you for the response, the information I've received has given me a firm understanding of my requirements and also my boundaries... I'll be sure to act entirely within the company's policies.

Thank you once again.

Any advice on this question would be fantastic, I just need to know whether I'm stepping over any boundaries  with my advertising idea??? thank you to anyone who might know!  Grin
23  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Sign up new affilates to your downline? on: June 01, 2010, 11:43:15 AM
As mentioned in another topic, I run a web design company, and I am looking to increase my down-line by signing up some of my customers to GDI for their domain registration, I would then point the name-servers to my own company's web-hosting (which has database support). Then for each new customer my company receives I would then register them beneath those other customers in my down-line.

I believe it would be a very effective way to grow my GDI business, as well as helping others make a success of their GDI business too!

I was wondering if there is any problems with doing any of this?
Thank you so much for any guidance!

Thank you so much for your quick reply, I see that the GDI Premium has some fantastic features, and I can't wait to see what GDI unveils next!
I'm very excited!!!  Cheesy Thanks again!

As I build websites for a living resell hosting too, I feel it would be brilliant if I could host my clients websites on GDI hosting using their own accounts, however most websites use some form of databases now and other scripts, so without the access to a hosting control panel (e.g. VDeck, CPanel & phpMyAdmin), it's very difficult to build a decent website without a lot of unnecessary time spent, and even so, the functionality is definitely limited.

I was wondering if the new Premium Hosting has these features implemented? If so I'll purchase it straight away! Otherwise I'm sure that the introduction of such options in future would be highly appreciated by many GDI members. Thanks so much for any information provided.  Smiley

My sincerest regards...
Stephen

I think it's a bit of a shame that GDI doesn't offer PHP support and Databases... I am therefore required to host 99% of my website with another provider with a .net domain because I can't host it here with my .ws domain... I only have a splash page hosted with GDI at this time, which is linked to the main site...

I hope this is something that is being looked into, because I would love nothing more than to bring my entire website over to my GDI hosting!

Thank you!   Huh
27  .WS Services / Showcase Your Website / Re: My .ws Website on: May 21, 2010, 05:08:35 AM
Hi everyone,

I've been designing my own websites since 1999, so it's been a lot of playing around, I now build websites for myself professionally and love it!

I've always liked the "Auto-Play" replicated sites, I believe they simply have the most powerful effect! So I decided to try my hand at my own page that does a similar task, the aim of this page is to capture email addresses into my mailing list after watching the GDI video (I looked everywhere and could not find anything, but did find a brilliant quality version on YouTube, so I embedded that), once the visitor has submitted their email address through the form on my site, they are immediately redirected to the "Watch DVD" replicated page, which tells them more about the business and should get them excited about GDI! (So I now have their email address in my mailing list incase they do not sign up immediately, with some friendly emails, hopefully they'll join up soon enough!

And if the visitor does not enter their information into the auto responder form, they can click the 'skip' link below the video, this will take them to the main 'Cash Flow Forums' site, which has GDI ads strategically positioned throughout the site! I am working on building some better information soon... Please see my site at:

Please offer any suggestions or comments about my site, thanks so much! Feedback appreciated!  Grin
28  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: Tax Advantages Of A Home Business! on: February 16, 2010, 02:50:14 PM
The most wonderful thing about owning a business is that you are able to spend 'Before Tax Dollars', so before the tax man takes his cut, you've already had access to it (which you could have invested into making more money!)... In a traditional job, up to and/or exceeding 50% of your income can be consumed in after tax dollars, which is your pay cheque after the tax has been deducted! In this case you'd never receive that portion to be able to invest it in the first place! So there's a fantastic benefit that I hope inspires some of you to keep going with your home based business!

All the best!  Grin
29  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Can I video my .ws template website for promotional purposes? on: February 14, 2010, 06:42:08 AM
Hi everyone,

I need some quick advise... I want to know if I'm allowed to record a video screenshot of my website to upload to YouTube?? The reason I ask is because I'm using a GDI template.

Any help appreciated!
I need an answer as soon as possible, thanks!  Wink
