Stacy,

Love the site! What kind of website builder do you use? Or do you use the GDI site builder?
2  .WS Services / Showcase Your Website / Switching gears on: July 30, 2005, 11:31:36 AM
Hey gang,

As you might have read in some of my other posts I have kinda switched gears on my website. I'm currently involved in multiple businesses so I have done some changes and rearranges on my website.

My current website is based on being an art gallery for a friend of mine. He has asked me to sell his works in the near future, so I changed my site all around. I have put more of my GDI focus into advertising the flash movies and such since they are such a great form of advertising.

Keep in mind that my website is now a combination of both the site builder for the general framework, but there is a bunch of HTML in there as well. There are still some typos that I need to change, but this is still in kind of a rough form.

Well without further adeu. http://livingdreams.ws

Tell me what y'all think. Grin

Sounds like the contest is in full swing. I will be rooting for all of you! Wink

I don't think I will be able to participate though unfortunate as it may be. At the momemnt I'm actively running 2 businesses and just had another business proposed to me with no out of pocket cost. So you could say I'm kinda burning the candle at both ends. Shocked

But I will continue to show my support to you all as well as posting any tips or ideas. Over the last few days I have been hitting different HTML sites hard and gaining a TON of knowledge. So my site is going through a major overhaul. I expect to see many success stories here in the near future though and I'm anticipate that our newbies now will all be master affiliates soon! Grin

Best of luck to you all...
Jason

P.S. Once I get my new site finished I will post it up so you all can see the fruits of my labors.

Could you post a copy of that flyer so people that are looking for ideas might gain some insight?

Thanks

Some excellent ideas Logan.

I know the sting of not having contact with uplines. But I just shrug is off and will just remember how not to treat MY downlines when I finally start getting some. But I have had more support here at these forums then I could have ever imagined!

So welcome aboard, good luck, and keep on truckin!

"Revealed: How I built a million dollar business from my home on a shoe-string budget.  Step-by-Step Instructions."

Now I don't want to put anyone on the defensive and I am not meaning to offend you Steve.

I know you said it wasn't a real ad, but I have one problem with using this kind of statement in my advertising. Most of us beginners have yet to make a million dollar business. So I wouldn't want a group of my downliners thinking I'm some kind of internet guru when in fact I'm not much better off then they are. Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't want to mislead anyone cause more then likely it would come back to bite me at some point in time.

Hi Gail,

I think I saw someone else here answer the question but I will say it again.
Unfortunately most pictures that have writing on them you really can't edit. Your best bet is to find a picture you like that hasn't had any editing to it. Save it to your computer and use the paint program to add whatever text you want in it. Then just upload it to your photo manager and start posting it with the ad link.

Good luck to you!

Excellent points Marvin.

As of this moment I don't have anyone on my downlines yet, but that doesn't stop me. As someone who has been actively searching for the right business I can tell you that there are quite a few people out there that are just plain confused about what to do. Others have a general idea but frustration sets in when they don't see any progress.

I do think that when you do have a downline it's important to teach them what GDI has to offer. Show them the ropes. Give them tips and advice that has benefitted yourself in the past. And just keep the lines of communication open to answer any questions they might have about the entire process. As well as keeping communication open to any downline members they recieve.

However I don't know if it's wise to "hold their hand" EVERY step of their journey. There comes a point in time where everyone had to take the training wheels off their bikes. Yes you more then likely fell down a few times but once you mastered it you never forgot how. I think this process is the same way. You have to let your downline know it's ok to try and fail, just let them know you will be there to pick them up, dust them off, and help them try again.

I remember a piece of advice my father told me when I was younger, "Never be afraid to fall forward, because at least you are moving in the right direction."

I will make some more in the near future... it's getting kinda late now and I'm wayyyyyyyyyyyy past my bedtime  Roll Eyes (sometimes the alarm clock just buzzes too early doesn't it)

But what I will do next time I make a batch is I will leave the "user id" part blank so people can just insert their own id's in them without having to try and change it in the picture itself... should make it a bit easier for people who aren't familiar with making signs like this.
