1  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Promotional Banners for the Domain Name and Hosting Offer on: January 10, 2008, 10:53:07 AM
All the banners provided promote the business opportunity of GDI. I want to promote the web names and hosting offer. Why are there no promotional media for that part of the deal?
2  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Filtering Email From Contact Downline System on: May 06, 2007, 10:07:05 PM
Is it possible to filter the email you send using the "Contact Downline" feature in the Downline system of GDI? I want to email everyone currently on TRIAL, but I don't want to email people who are paid members.

How can I do it?

Regards

3  .WS/GDI Discussion / New Member? / Re: Calling all Australians on: May 01, 2007, 02:36:45 PM
I'm from Alice Springs, but currently undergoing some contract work in the UAE.

I've signed up two with three or four having credit card problems etc. As the price is only $10 pm, I figure that I can just push ahead promoting GDI at every opportunity everywhere I go. I don't expect to make millions, but if I can sign up 10, then my monthly hosting is free.

My approach to this is to sell GDI with something else. There are millions of people selling domain names and millions trying to flog MLM businesses. I believe a different, creative approach will be a winner.

Sure hope so.

4  .WS Business / Training / Persist, Persist, Persist ... and Never Give Up on: April 28, 2007, 04:06:23 AM
British Prime Minister during WWII, Sir Winston Churchill said,

"Continuous effort - not strength or intelligence - is the key to unlocking our potential."

This is as true of network marketing as it is of every form of endeavour. The proof of GDI's worth is already evident ie, others have been successful, therefore anyone can be successful. It's not as though the GDI offer is untried and untested. It's proven to work and it's proven to be a good, solid product.

Therefore, what is left for us to become "Big Hitters" is to hit big.

Never miss an opportunity to promote GDI. Hand out business cards, talk to people in shops, talk to them in elevators, advertise on your shirt, get an information booth at the local Sunday market, advertise in classifieds, put a sticker on your car, have a cap made with your url, do a leaflet drop, join several fora and discuss GDI, start up a GDI blog, do whatever you can, every time you can, to sell GDI and you'll succeed.

You don't have to be well educated, super intelligent or special, you just need to persist, persist, persist ... and never give up.

Personally I also believe that a better approach is to sell the product rather than the business first up. Why? Because many people are averse to MLM, but they may be happy to get a web name and web site hosting. When they sign up for that, they have the option of working on their business. It's another string to their bow.

I'm selling the url and web hosting from my site to get prospects interested in the business aspect after they have experienced he product.

5  .WS Business / Marketing / Google Maps Listing Will Help Your Search Engine Results on: April 28, 2007, 01:26:02 AM
Google Maps is quickly becoming the leader in local search. In fact, MILLIONS of people are now using Google Maps daily.

If you've never tried this great resource, head over to http://maps.google.com/ and take it for a spin. Not only can you enter an address anywhere in the world, you can also click the "find a business" tab and find any business based on keyword, in any location worldwide. (Good for joint venture partners and link partners)

Again, millions of people search Google Maps every day. So exactly how do you get your share of customers from this fast-rising trend?

Simple... A free listing on Google Maps makes it easy for these eager customers to find your business. Google Maps even makes it simple for you to offer coupons. Your new customers simply print the coupon and bring to your shop if you have a physical business. Google Maps is easy to use and best of all, it is 100% free.

But what if you are just one person, sitting in your home office and doing business online? Not to worry, you can use your Google Maps listing to point local searchers to your website. To grab your free listing on Google Maps, go to: http://www.google.com/local/add/businessCenter

The benefits to you include a direct link into your site from Google. How much better can that be?
6  .WS Services / Showcase Your Website / My New Site on: March 24, 2007, 12:34:00 AM
I build my sites using XsitePro and have constructed my .WS sales site here: http://www.web-names.ws.

I'm endeavouring to use a different marketing strategy from the usual "Here's a business opportunity" that is so common on the web and elsewhere.

Hope you find it of interest.

Regards

G'day all

I'm currently living and working at a lovely city called Al Ain about 125 km east of Dubai and on the border with Oman. I lecture in business management, human resources and software applications at Al Ain Women's College.

My "real" home is at Alice Springs in the Northern Territory, Australia from where, when I'm at home, I run several online businesses.

To our success.

8  .WS Services / Showcase Your Website / Website with Different Marketing Approach on: March 18, 2007, 09:04:01 AM
I've had heaps of experience designing web sites and have a number of them. My .WS accquisition uses a different marketing approach from the usual "here's a great business opportunity" because I think that approach is overdone. I'm endeavouring to sell to those who want to be upmarket, trendy and similar to the so-called celebrities.

I have not idea if this will work, but I thought it was worth a try. You'll find my website at http://www.web-names.ws

Any constructive feedback will be appreciated.
