Hi, First Copy the banner code.. To add the banner code to your web page, go into your site builder, click edit on the page where you would like your banner to go.. When the page has loaded double click within the page, your page editor will then pop up. To insert banner code choose and click on source (at bottom of page editor, and middle of three options Design-Source-Preview) Paste the copied banner code into the source page, then click to Design Mode, you can move your banner around by clicking into it, holding and dragging to where you would like it to be, once satisfied with the banner position, to leave the page editor, Click Save and then Go Back on the movable menu..Hope this helps PS..When copying and pasting use the Edit option from your browser this seems to work whereas the copy and paste in the Site Builder doesn't always. Please help the newbie. I'm fairly intelligent but I can't for the life of me get the software to accept copying/pasting the html code for the banners.
I would be SO grateful for some help. Hi Anne, Can't uderstand why it isn't working for you, I've just tried it and it worked fine for me. First make quite sure that you have actually copied the code..ie:highlight the text and then copy..(I normally do this by using the edit tool at top of my browser) I also use the edit tool again to select paste, don't know what else to say to help..use source option to paste the html code into the page you are editing. hi all, i am new here and i would like to know one thing, if someone goes to my website and click the banner thingy that i added to my site do i get the credit for the refer ? Hi Lenwood, If the banner thingy includes your GDI referral URL the answer is simply 'Yes' All the best Dave |

Hi Guys
Does anybody know if i can place a autoresponder on my website page. I have the html code but when i try to paste it onto my website the code appears not the responder. Any help would be appreciated
Thanks Hi Gareth, When you are editing your page, make sure you are viewing the editing in source view (options can be found at bottom of page editor), this is where all the html goes, if you have the page in design view it will just show exactly what you have pasted there. All the best Dave |

so my goal here is to create a link to direct users to the sign up page, but at the same time making sure I get credit for referring them.
any help? Hi, First of all choose the link you would like your visitors to go to, get them from left hand menu after login, click on My Replicated sites.., here is an example of how your link would look <a href=" http://website.ws/kvmlm2/ws.dhtml?sponsor=YOURGDIUSERNAME&template=2" target="_blank">Get a 7 Day Free Trial</a> If you edit your page in Design View, you can type in the text you want your visitors to see first, then highlight the text, choose the link button from the top of the editor, and a window will pop up where you can put the URL to your link and also choose to have the link open in a new window..Hope this helps..All the best Dave Hope this helps..All the Best Dave |

Hi! My name is Kathy and I am new to GDI. I've been trying to work on my website (a personal retail site) but the more I read about the website design on the forum, the more confused I get! I have just one question now (and I'm sure many more later)- can the image on the header of the template be changed or do we have to take what we get on the template? I'm trying to figure out how to customize this for businesses in town.
Thanks! Hi Kathy, I don't think you can change the templates if you have chosen the Site Builder, if you choose Basic Hosting then you can do your own thing.. All the best Dave |

Hello, my name is Linda and I'm haveing a little trouble getting started with my site. You see, I joined yesterday and my husband and I built the homepage, with not much on it, and I'm pretty sure sure we published it but he doens't think so. Anyway today I tried to get on and edit the site but I'm not sure how. If anyone could tell me where to go to edit the site - like from the member account homepage - it would be greatly apperciated. Hi Linda, Login, scroll down left side menu to your Registered Domain name, click on it, go through the process ie, choose..Site Builder, next page Build My Website, your website pages will appear, then click on Edit for your chosen page..always save and then publish your work. Ok folks i am dumb, i have made a domain name and it is under site builder instead of hosting so now what do i do? I can't get it to let me upload my files or anything. How do i changeit to a regular hosting. Also i did a free trial and screwed that up so i started over and paid of this one and it is screwed up! lol Hi Sharon, You should be able to get it back to hosting, login, click on your Registered Domain name, bottom left menu, and the options should come up again, then you can choose Basic Hosting from choices..Hope this works for you. 1. I have uploaded files from my hard drive to the Gallery. How do I move the files from the Gallery to my website? Once on the page you want to edit, click on design mode, click into the page area, then up to the tool bar, click on the small picture image ( to the left of the smiley) the gallery window will pop up, choose the image you want to upload, then choose select and the image will appear on your page..in my experience the image usually ends up at the bottom of page, so you may need drag it to where you want it to be.
2. Can any content (so long as it isn't illegal, disparging, etc.) can be displayed on one's GDI website? I am asking this because there are some companies that have affiliated programs with other products (i. e. - computer equipment, flowers, hardware, automobiles, etc). I would like to make webpages on my GDI website that would allow viewers to purchase items from my affiliates webpages. Is this permissable? YES hope this helps All the best Dave |

Okay, I guess I am confused because I thought I could have a website where I could sell my own things. I was NOT looking to get into something where I had to have people sign up underneath me to make money. It appeaered as if I would be able to cutomize a website for a buisness of my own, why is this not fully disclosed before someone gives out their payment information. If I wanted to promote this buisness to my more than 500 hits per day I would continue to do so on my Blog, IT is free. Please let me know if I am misunderstanding this and I CAN have a website where I sell my products because if I can not I will be cancelling this tomorrow. Hi Rachael, It looks as if you are misunderstanding this..You can customize and use the website to sell your own things, in fact it is encouraged..If you do not want to get into the business side of GDI, that is your choice..Good luck with your site, like to see it when done..  Only half of the links on my home page to my other pages work, doing the same thing for all pages so can''t understand why it's not working.. despite all my efforts to correct this..no luck..will keep on trying..but find it confusing to say the least..sorry!

i am trying to add a banner using html, it will not convert either, can anyone help..........i dont know what im doing wrong.....i see other members sites advertising with banners etc.....please i need help

carmel Hi Carmel, Your banner code should look something like this <a href=" http://www.yourdestinationwebsiteurl.com" target="_blank"><img src=" http://www.yourbannerimagesource/images/banner.gif" width="468" height="60" border="0"></a> Or you can upload your banner image to the ws gallery, open your page, and while in design mode insert the image onto your page, click on the image to highlight it, and then choose the link option from the editor, and enter your destination URL to make your banner image into a live link. Hi CoreyS, Login to your back office here http://www.website.ws/membersScroll down to the bottom of left hand menu , where it says Registered Domains:..there you'll find your ws domain name, click on that (link) and you'll be taken to the site builder.
