1  .WS/GDI Discussion / New Member? / Re: New Member OH on: April 18, 2010, 04:20:07 PM
Hi Everyone,

I new here and I'm from OH. My name is April, I've been surfing around the GDI sites for awhile now. And tonight I decide to sign-up, I say what the heck do I have to loose. I enjoy taking calculated risk and if it's a risk to better myself and family I'm all for it. I just wanted to stop in a let everyone know I'm determined to make it to the "TOP", and I won't stop until I get there. So if anyone has any tips about making GDI a successful business, I'm eager to learn. Hope to hear from you all soon!

Hi April,

I am also in OH, the Cincy area. Welcome to GDI!

2  .WS/GDI Discussion / General Comments / Re: WHAT DID YOU DO BEFORE DISCOVERING GDI? on: March 18, 2008, 11:46:33 PM
Before GDI I had sworn off Network Marketing altogether. I started way
back in 1990 with A.L. Williams. Then I did the phone cards....nutritionals....even
the "gifting" and pay-to-surfs. I even OWNED my own Downline Club when
they were big in the late 90's.

I walked away for several years. Then I saw THE MOVIE! Yes, it
brought me back to online marketing.

I've been with GDI for 3 1/2 years. I cannot imagine life without it - I work
my business every day. Sounds like one of the testimonials on the site,
doesn't it?  Grin Sorry, it's just that I have been in so many things that are GONE
now. No other program has been around this long for me, this consistently.

6  .WS/GDI Discussion / New Member? / Re: $10.00 a Month Question on: August 17, 2005, 08:05:04 PM
Hi Michael,

I have had my own domain for over 8 years now (Yes, I currently own 2 .com's).
The first one I paid $30 a year for just the name, then an additional $20 or so per
month for hosting. None of the domains I have ever purchased have come with
a Website Builder - ONLY GDI. That is how I learned html, because I HAD to! I also
needed to know how to use an FTP client.

Both of my .com domains require that I build my site in another manner, then use FTP.
Neither of them allows me to earn a residual income like GDI. Average people like us
do not know these methods.

Let your prospects know GDI actually gives you MANY websites - one to build and use
in any way you choose, and others to use for business promotion. Look at all the members
of GDI who are having fun building their first websites, while sharing the same with others
and making a few bucks by doing so. Talk about Win-Win!

BTW - my 2 .com's both have a page for GDI on them Wink

Stephanie
7  .WS/GDI Discussion / General Comments / Re: Working Hard and Not Getting Anywhere on: August 17, 2005, 08:05:04 PM
Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you know I have been a member of GDI since last October.
My commissions for each month have been as follows:

OCT2004   $0.00
NOV2004   $0.00
DEC2004   $4.00
JAN2005   $9.00
FEB2005   $12.00
MAR2005   $16.00
APR2005   $19.00
MAY2005   $19.00
JUN2005   $20.00
JUL2005   $50.00

For the month of August I am at $44 so far. As you can see NOTHING happened
for the first 2 months! So what happened in July, you ask? I finally got serious and
started WORKING my business. I started seeking out other serious like-minded folks
looking for a home business. During the first few months when nothing happened
even though I was working so hard, I became frustrated. I began to look at other
opportunities. In July I dropped everything and now focus ONLY on GDI.

Do I use Bulkmailer? Yes. Have I gotten signups from it? Yes - not a good percentage,
but several. I also enter good quality Surveyed ONLY leads into the GDI invite system.
Do I get signups from it? Yes, one just yesterday. Smiley 90% of my marketing is online
to safelists. I know most folks will tell you safelists don't work, but ummmmm.....I
guess they do. Wink

In a nutshell, just keep your head up......you will find what works for YOU and when
you do you will be so glad you persevered - I know I am!

Stephanie

My story is very much like that of our own Tim Sebert - except I really DID walk away from marketing. After being successful for several years I was so burned out. I had owned a Downline Club and Safelist, and managed an MLM from the top. The owner of the MLM I was managing decided to close it down. I went back to waiting tables for the next 4 years.

Last October my friend Deb (now my business partner) sent me an email about an opp she had joined. I ignored it. She emailed me again a few days later just asking me to look and give her my honest opinion. I went to her overview page and read every word. I looked at the product, company info, and the FAQ. Then I watched THE MOVIE. I was completely blown away.....I watched it again. Wow. I had never seen anything like this before! I joined immediately!

9  .WS Business / Team Building / Re: Targeting YOUR GDI Sign-Ups on: July 27, 2005, 03:17:03 PM
Hi Kyra,

Awesome poll! My business partner Deb Lane and I just began a massive targeted campaign at the beginning of July.  When we began our campaign, we had 16 "active" members in our downline. We now have over 50, in 3 weeks! (We actually have 177 with the orange and purple people). Yes, targeting works.

So who are we targeting? SERIOUS people. Folks willing to make a commitment. Those willing to listen, learn and communicate. In other words, people who "get it"! We love GDI and are actively seeking others who see what we see. Guess what has happened? As well as making our first appearance, 6 of our new team members have made the leaderboard!

In July, our marketing efforts have been solely online, mostly to safelists. As we expand our marketing, we hope to be running with the "Big Dogs" Wink

Hi Kayleen,

Your site looks awesome - very clean and easy to navigate.

Your IB Hyperspace ad does not appear to be working properly. I viewed the source code on your site, and it appears to be correct. You may need to log in to your IB back office and check the ad you are running.

You also brought up a great site building point - opening links in a new window. You never want your customer to leave your site, or to have to hit the back button, especially when you are offering so much for them to see!

Hi Billie,

A very well done first website! You have shown just how easy building your website with Sitebuilder is. Very well laid out, and I love your explanation of GDI as well as the "peek" you have given visitors of you as a REAL person.

12  .WS Business / Marketing / Re: Need a good email to send to my local chamber of commerce members. on: June 23, 2005, 01:58:42 AM
Hi Mike,

My business partner Deb Lane created post cards for us to send specifically to local businesses. You could use some of the information together with Gina's awesome letter and edit it to suit your needs.

The front of the postcard says simply, "If only I could afford my own website...."

The back says:
Think your business can't afford a web presence?
Includes:
  • Your own domain name
  • Plenty if web space
  • 10 email addresses
  • 7 day free trial
  • Easy website builder or FTP
  • Only $10.00 monthly

Email Stephanie Remers
and ask about small
business web hosting.

In my opinion though, you would be better off personally approaching your Chamber of Commerce with a written outline of the benefits of GDI, both to the Chamber and their Merchants. Hope this gives you some ideas!

15  .WS Services / WebSite Development / Re: I offer more than just .ws on: June 22, 2005, 03:19:15 PM
Hi,

My business partner Deb and I formed Marketer's Edge shortly after joining GDI. We got the .ws domain, but the .com was already taken (imagine that? LOL). Deb registered ME as a business in the state of Texas.

Our site is based on giving all marketers an "Edge", providing marketing tools and opportunities. It's always a work in progress. I love website building, and even though our site has won several awards, we are getting ready to revamp it again. We will be including direct product sales in the future, as well our own banner exchange program and safelist. Really, I just want to change the template  Wink
Don't get me wrong - even though we offer other things, ALL roads lead to GDI, and always will!

Your website is the product you are paying for with GDI. You should use it any way you want and have fun with it!

In Success,
Stephanie
