.WS/GDI Discussion / General Comments / Re: Working Hard and Not Getting Anywhere

Hello Shaun, Your thoughts are like mine...give and we will ALL receive. Some people are "greedy" and sadly enough if they are putting 50 people on their 1st level without helping ALL of them...they will continue to think that programs like this are a "scam". Run your business to the way your "heart" talks to you. Mine tells me to bring as many people with me on this journey. What a change in the world if we ALL thought like this...actually got down and personal with the people we bring in and really meant it when we said that we are here to help. I believe it will happen...it's a BIG world and to bring change into people lives who "fear"...the odds are against us...but I feel if I can help lighten the daily burdens in peoples lives a bit...than I will be in it for the long haul because that is worth it to me. Take away the "greed" and build a community of everyone helping each other = teaches duplication and achieves longevity for everyone. Kathy

Steve... Just a partial list...Internet Cafe's, Library (Business section, Ladies section and by the Computers)...College kids, Laundry mats, Grocery/Gas Station Bulletin boards, "Junk" mail...return it in the postage "free" reply envelope, Businesses that are looking for a low cost website, Day Cares, Doctor/Dentist office...leave inside the magazines, introduce it to local non-profits. I am sure there are many more once a person gets to thinking. Kathy

.WS Business / Team Building / Re: Do you move your downline members?

Hello Toni, You can still keep the "magic" going...just duplicate what your upline did. When you receive a personal recruit you can pass him/her to your downline. Or send a message to the "new" recruit asking for their website and that you are willing to help them recruit. This doesn't limit you to just the first level and the recruits 7 day "free" trial. If you see that part of your downline is at a stand still...send a note asking if you can help. This shows you care...teaches duplication. TEAM WORK...everyone working for each other creates personal growth and retention. Giving is a good feeling. I am trying a different approach on recruiting. Interested people respond to an e-mail of mine stating that I am working for my downline. When someone responds...I send an e-mail to the person in my downline that there is someone interested and that I am sending them to their site. I also send an e-mail to the person that responded...introducing him/her to their sponsor. Immediate communication link. I am just starting this...I will let people know how this goes. Kathy

Priyo s Everyone will be different in working "THEIR" business. Test to see what works. There can be the "quick" fix of the "bonus" money which people tend to enjoy but it can come with the possibility of losing some of those prospects if you don't spend "TIME" with them...COMMUNICATION...seems to be "HUGE" with people that don't know how to go about this. Others will look at the "RETENTION" rate of their business...the end result...the "BIG" picture which is "RESIDUAL" income...month after month for as long as your prospects stay on board. Some will reap the rewards of the "BONUS" monies....but WE WILL ALL REAP THE REWARDS OF "RESIDUAL INCOME" which is why I think most of us signed up...extra income that would make us feel comfortable instead of struggling from paycheck to paycheck. Everyone needs to start somewhere...stay "focussed"...COMMUNICATE...help each other...and be able to see YOUR FUTURE. If you let your upline decide YOUR FUTURE because they are not responding, when you have a forum of 39,000 and GROWING willing to help, that would be sad It's YOUR business...remember that feeling of your upline not responding...MAKE THAT CHANGE. Kathy

MillerD, First the PEP talk... Retired from the department after 25 years? I have been jumping from program to program for 28 years... In those 28 years I have learned that #1. (in my case), family and friends walk away, laugh and say "don't waste your money". #2. Patience...there really is no "get rich over night" business. #3. Focus on one business...and "visualize" your future...2, 3, years down the road. If you can't see your future in your mind...I am a believer in putting it on paper...whether writing your goals out and taping them up in places that you will see them everyday, (two places for me are the bathroom mirror...and the refrigerator. ) Get rid of all "negative" thoughts starting when you wake up...I have a picture of my granddaughter I see every morning...I start my day off laughing...lol... I have been with GDI for just over a year. "I" decided to sit back and learn as much as I could, put together my strategy of how I wanted to go about this...being from a town of "nay" sayers and not really wanting to put out a lot of money over the $10.00 per month for my website as I would really like to show people that you really don't need to. Still working on my plan but I am very excited for Spring, Summer and Fall !!! Brandon has a GREAT idea...he has a booth at the Fair. The upcoming months are my favorite activities...rummage sales, Flea markets and Craft Fairs. Either "swap" business cards...or leave a business card on the table. My expense will mostly be on foot or my gas (but I would be going anyway...lol) and my business card that I make myself. I will be leaving flyers at grocery stores, gas stations, internet cafe's...anywhere there is a bulletin board. Not sure if these are the "landing" pages you want but I will list them anyway... http://website.ws/kvmlm2/ws.dhtml?sponsor=username&template=1http://website.ws/kvmlm2/ws.dhtml?sponsor=username&template=2http://website.ws/kvmlm2/ws.dhtml?sponsor=username&template=3http://website.ws/kvmlm2/ws.dhtml&sponsor=username&template=4http://website.ws/kvmlm2/ws.dhtml&sponsor+username&template=5You will need to replace "username" with YOUR ID. Hang in there !!!...YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE !!! Kathy

Never, though, never GIVE away new members to your downline. GDI provides a way of doing this but believe me, all it does is breed lazy downlines. You need 5 people who will get off their behind and help five more of their own. Hello Ben, Everyone has their thoughts on "retention"...I believe we are a "people helping people" world...my # is 5 for my first level in which I would "help" them build their first "5"...with the encouragement of them returning the favor to their "5"... "build it and THEY will come"... just another thought... Kathy

Ok...i have a dumb question. I have been working on my website and I have been getting ideas from everyone else's websites. I have noticed that some of the website pages can hold more information on their pages and my pages are quite a bit smaller. Is there something I need to do to get more space???...I'd like to put the dvd movie on mine like others have done but it won't fit. Kathy

Welcome Corey !!! I would just like to say here...CONGRATS!...you're young...and you said it yourself...SOMEDAY. Stay focussed on that thought of SOMEDAY. I have been looking at ways to better my life and my kid's for 28 years. Stay focused with one program is my thought and make it work. The hardest thing for me in all those years is I let people control my feelings. Mainly, in my case...family and friends. I could look back and wonder what I would have made for myself today if I JUST DID IT...but I am still focussed as to what I still CAN do for my kids. Don't take 28 years to figure it out...YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE !!! If you hit a road block...stop in the "forum"...everyone here is pretty good at picking you up. Just look at the numbers. There's 38,000 people that have the same thought as you and the same belief !!! Good Luck !!!...Work your "NEW" business. I don't even think there is a Life Insurance Policy you can purchase for $10.00 a month that could produce the same income in 2, 3 or more years. Kathy

This is a GOOD re-post, Gill... If people are joining the business side of GDI...they should be understanding that with any business...nothing is "free" and you need to work it. I have been to the seminars where people put out over $3,000 at the end of it. I have seen these same people wonder why they are not making any money...they thought by putting out $3,000 they could go home and the company would do everything for them. Now, I am spending $10.00 a month and I have been with GDI for over a year...$120.00. I can put in quite a few more years with my business before I have spent what others have spent in one day. On another note...I look at it as a very low-cost way to learn some computer skills... In the forum are some GREAT teachers!!!... We all know what it costs to take classes for the knowledge that is being passed out here! People need to look at the BIG picture...being a part of the .ws history...e-mail accounts...MAJOR information for the asking in the forum...even if your upline isn't there...there's always someone here. PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE

Hello Ken!!!, It won't take long for you to get comfortable in here. There are many people that will help you. Another good place to start is to get at least one e-mail set up and a pay pal account. If you already have a pay pal account than you will want to add your .ws e-mail address to that account for any "bonus" money you make. You'll also want to get your paper work in...in order to receive any money from your efforts. You'll find this under "documents" in your back office and more information on it in the "Announcements" in the "forum". Kathy

Thank You Alan! I knew a lot of people put that DVD on their websites and couldn't understand why people would request one when you can give them the site to watch it. So, it's basically about being able to receive your "bonus" money. No worries, I know they are a GOOD TOOL for sales and will be ordering my 10. Kathy

Ok, I am in search of the full information of the DVD. I know I read it somewhere but am looking for all the "rules" that go along with this Dvd. 1. The freedom .ws site has "request" a "free" DVD from your sponsor. "Sponsor" means myself...but I am a sponsor when they are in their "7" day "free" trial or I am a sponsor after their "7" day "free" trial OR I am a sponsor to any and all who "request" a "free" DVD???...Just wondering because people DO like "free" things...lol 2. Now, when they are requesting their "free" DVD...is this request going to the e-mail address that we originally used to sign-up? If yes, can we get it switched to one of our .ws e-mail addresses??? 3. In order to receive "bonus" money you need to have purchased at least one DVD? Is this the same for regular commissions? 4. And finally, if we do not send a prospect the DVD and someone in our up line does...than that prospect goes to the up line? I just want to get it straight for the people I talk to. I like putting everything right up front...nothing hidden... THANK YOU!!! Kathy

Hello Sheryl, I have given myself a limit for my first level and made the decision to pass prospects down to my first level in hopes that they can see how the opportunity works when everyone helps each other. I do ask them to duplicate this gesture in helping their first level as well. Helping "push" it downward before I expand and teaching others to do the same might change the minds of the "majority" of skeptics... Just a thought... Kathy
