The blog idea is a Great one. What I have done is put my blog link on one of my GDI Website pages which has worked pretty good as far as backlinking goes and allows the reader to click on it to visit my blog.

I did this when I first started. I had to contact support and ask about it but basically what I did was had to purchase a new domain name for $10 and then the next month support cancelled out my first one. My suggestion is to contact support and they will let you know how to do it.

What I would do is go back and look at what has changed since you first started. Where did you advertise to get those 11 members. Then go back to what worked for you to get those initial members. If it was a situation like... You contacted the people you knew and got those 11 members that way then I would search in the forum on different ways to advertise and market to others now. You can only use your warm market to a certain point and then you need to start marketing your business in other ways online or offline or a little of both. You are Doing Great just keep pushing forward and advertise as much as you can if you are advertising consistently you will start to see new member sign ups more consistently. Hope that helps.

Hi Randy,
I started out talking to the people I already knew. I literally sat down with a pen and paper and wrote down everyone I could think of. I am actually still going through my list. Once you sit down and start thinking you will amaze yourself how many people you know. One of the things I did too to get my brain going was logged into my facebook account to really see how many people I knew. I was amazed!
You can use the invite system or one of the ways I have been doing it too is contacting 5 on my list ask if they will do me a favor and sign up, try it out for 30 days and then let me know what they think. This is a good way to start building and even reach the GDI Bonuses too.
If you do a search in the forum you will find many threads which go over promoting after you have gone through your list. There are many free and low cost ways to doing this.
I hope this helps a little.

Welcome Everyone!
James, I completely Agree! GDI Gives us so much for our $10 it is really unbelievable. I have found in the past that if you just pick a few different methods like you mentioned placing an ad in the newspaper and giving out business cards and keep at it consistently your first new member will be right around the corner.
I was given a great piece of marketing advice many years ago and it always has stuck with me. I was told, "Pick a method and commit to doing it for a full 90 days" track your results and then add another method until you have worked up to 5-6 different marketing methods working consistently for you. (There are many Free and Low Cost ways to market)
If you are new to marketing here are some good things to start with:
Start talking to people in Work at Home Forums/Message boards. Just put your GDI website in your signature and just visit the forums to chat with others, answer questions or ask a question. This is passive marketing but if you do it consistently you will see great results from it and it is FREE!
Write some articles. These get indexed by the search engines and get picked up by multiple sites. Use as many key words in your articles as possible. Take a minute and really think about words you would put into google to locate your article. This is a Great way to share your Business and once again it is FREE!
Don't forget about the people you already know. I realize everyone feels a little bit different on this subject but I have always approached the people I already know. They are always willing to help me out. I approach them in the way of... "Can ya do me a favor and try this out, then give me your honest feedback?" How we approach the people we know will determine how they react to us. Believe in what you have your hands on and others will too.
Flyers and Business cards are very low cost and can be very effective when you put them out in high traffic areas in large numbers.
I hope this helps give you a starting point. You have your hands on the best Company out there. Believe in yourself, What you are offering people and everything else will fall right into place.
I wish you all blessings and tons of success with your New GDI Business!

Welcome Everyone! I just wanted to put my 2 cents in real quick... I have been with GDI A couple times now and have Never used any of the systems that people talk about and have ALWAYS made money with GDI. You "Do Not" need any additional systems to be successful with GDI. All you need to do is talk to people, send them an invite and show the video. GDI has the system you need already in place.
I felt compelled to write this so that all the newbies out there know that you do not need any additional systems in order to see success with GDI.
Blessings To All,
Jennifer

Welcome to the GDI Family!
All I can really do to help is share what I have done. I am not shy about contacting my personal network(friends, family, ect) That is the way I have always been able to get going in any business. Even Donald Trump when starting a new business goes through his list of contacts first before trying to advertise to the general public. I just asked my family and friends to sign up for Free and try it out for at least 30 days. It is only $10. Your family and friends love you and want to help you get going. Look at Facebook or any of the social networking sites the next time you login look at how many "friends" you have/people following you? Statistics show the average person knows anywhere from 200-400 people. Make a list.
Once you have gone through that list you should have more than 10 people on your team but if you don't you can start advertising now. The best and cheapest way is through your local area putting out fliers. GDI has a flier you can print right on your home computer. Get as many of those out as possible. Get a Tshirt made up, Get Car Magnets or Vinyl Lettering on your vehicle. I have literally had people chase me down in parking lots to ask me questions.
Make Friends First!!!!!!!!! This is the best advice I can give. Don't try to be a salesman it doesn't work. Just be yourself, have fun and enjoy helping people. You will see that the sign ups will begin to start coming in. You do not need to be an expert in anything all you need to do is have a genuine heart for helping others and do the things in the I mentioned in the first 2 paragraphs.
I wish you all Success in Your New Business and I am so excited for you that you are with the Best Company Out there!

If you are going to create a website with the site builder just login and go to "Build Your Website" once you are finished with each page hit the publish tab on the left toolbar and then you will see your website with your domain.
If you want to use one of your replicated sites as your main website you will need to forward your domain.
Click on the "Domains" Tab when you login to GDI and then Click "change DNS" then choose "I want to forward domain",ect.
It all depends on what you are planning to do.
I hope this helps.

Welcome Back Ken. You are not alone. I have rejoined GDI a couple times too. I signed up with a very nice guy but he is not very active with his business which is okay because it took me a long time to figure this out but it really begins with you. What I mean by that is it really does not matter who your upline is, the training I have received has been through free online training, articles and then message boards and trial and error. The truth is anyone can be successful they just need to want to learn. Like I mentioned it took me a long time to really figure this out but it is not really about the upline it is more about us, what we are willing to learn, if we are willing to work and apply what we learn, ect. that is what determines our success. I think too many of us(me included) looked at GDI as though it should be an automated business where you put links everywhere out there and then people just sign up but really GDI is about forming relationships with people.
Glad to have you back and Wish you lots of success in your business.

In my honest opinion downline builders are scammy. No one has ever built a team for me or anyone I know. I think it is just a tactic to get people to join them.
We all already have an autoresponder. That is one of the many beauties of GDI. We all already have automatic emails that go out to our prospects everytime they go to our website or if it is someone you personally know you have put them in the invite system-they all get like 7 emails I believe.
The only thing any of us need to do is direct people to our website.

I might be able to help. If you are referring to putting a sign up button your site for GDI then here ya go:
1. Go to your Site Builder 2. Click on the page you want to edit 3. Locate "Gallery" on your left hand tool bar 4. Click on "GDI Tools" 5. Click on the banner or button you want to add.
If you are talking about putting a button on your website that is not GDI related you will need to have it saved to your computer and then upload it as a document.
Hope this helps.
