Title: Does bulk emailing really work, or the so called email marketing systems work?
Post by: AllanT on June 26, 2007, 03:16:12 AM
Hello to all GDI members, my name is Allan Alfaro.  I am a member of GDI , and I'd  like to hear your opinions about bulk mailing systems. I have made a research in Google, and I came across a company that seems to be good and honest, I have written to them before, and they have answered me in a short time responding me all my questions . I do not have any experience in marketing and actually I have gained a few affiliates basically through newspaper ads and some forums.  Now, this company states that just with one click its system sends out  millions of email messages that you previously have to design explaining in detail the opportunity or business you belong to, to opt in subscribers that they have, and they say you will never be accused of SPAM at all, since your messages will reach the inbox trays of millions of people who have agreed to receive information of business opportunities.

My question is how reliable are these companies? Have you guys used this type of tools in the past with good results? Is that true that I will never be accused of Spam since they work with people previously contacted?  ??? ::) I m a little afraid of using this tools , I do not want to be removed from GDI and be accused of Spam. Can anybody help me please?

Thanks a lot !!

Hi, I hope you did not spend any money yet. specially on leads. They say that an .80 cent lead is as good as a $10.00 lead as long as you can contact them! A mass email company would have you beleave otherwise. I personaly spent $675.00 on a mass emailing of 1,000,000 people. Only about 220,000 opened the emial and only about 380 clicked on my link. Out of that 380 clicks a total of ZERO!!! signed up. So I'm sure you get how I feel about this style of marketing. You could do better with a news paper ad at $35.00/week.

Best of luck

Hello Alan,

Bulk mailing is the best way... for ruining your online business and getting yourself kicked out from every webhosting company on earth.

These will only get you in trouble, believe me.. I've tried and got my hosting account terminated for good and got my domain name in every spam lists. There's no better way to ruin your online business and reputation.

I assure you that most of the people you send mails to will complain.. I have my own list and sometimes people forget that they have signed up at my site and file spam complaints and send me messages telling me that they'll kill me :D (Happened once :) )

Do it safe and pay for advertising, you can get clicks using adwords for a few cents.. GDI has a wonderful follow up system and these will turn your paid clicks into members.

You can consider using google adwords, yahoo marketing solutions, adbrite, adengage, pulse 360 for paid clicks...

If you don't want to pay and go with free advertising I would recommend posting to marketing discussion forums, marketing blogs with your signature as your GDI affiliate link, you can also use instantbuzz (www.instantbuzz.com)

Have a beatiful day..

Mustafa

Mustafa,

What clicks = GDI follow-up system are you referring to? I can look my hits record, but from what I am experiencing, their is nothing built into the system that follows up. I am in another program, one I'm actually embarrassed to name, but let me tell you it has a follow up system that is phenomenal, always communicating to my inbox when the next event is or conference call, it does all follow up to pre-enrollees, almost unrelenting so, but I'd rather have it that way than nothing. Due to my heavy attention placed don GDI, I have not spent time promoting the other program at all, and due to the system's follow up, I have almost 1000 people in my downline already. However, it costs $19.95 per month instead of just $10.00 a month.

I also need to find a system to build my own contacts list that people actually opt in for information, but it needs to be like one of those Know How Books for Dummies (laughing) because I do not yet know how to do HTML or build a separate webpage, etc.

Respectfully Yours,
Dale
