Title: WHAT DID YOU DO BEFORE DISCOVERING GDI?
Post by: BradMott on October 05, 2006, 01:28:49 AM
Hi members!

This is brad form VA.  I am interested in knowing what my fellow GDIers did before dicovering this wonderful business!  I am currently a college student and have been in this for only two months and have 3 downline.   Before viewing the video, I was about two weeks away from making a major mistake with another business Oppurtunity!  This was in the health and wellness industry and was going to cost me about $3000!  Thank goodness I found the movie (GDI video)searching for online businesses!  I now look foward to growing with this!  My question to all my fellow members is what did you do?  Looking forward to some replies!

Brad

Hi,

Before I discover GDI I was running a EBay Business. Iam a still running the business today. GDI just added a extra income.
I was able to purchase multiple domain names which helped my primary business.

Hi Brad,

I've been in online business since 1999. Been everywhere,
done everything. Mostly wasted my money.
The programs I made some money
and I stay some time with were:

SFI and Empowerism.

I dropped both of them and decided to dedicate
all my time to GDI!

Brad,

Your question is an interesting one to say the least and it has triggered a thought about a saying I have heard in the past which is...

Your Past DOES NOT Equal Your Future!

Perhaps this is something that many more people need to realize.  It doesn't matter what you did in the past but what you do in the present that will determine how you will succeed in the future.

I personally have been in the networkmarketing industry for 18 years and I have had my share of failures and successes.  What is important is what those failures taught me and to know what has been the keys to my successes.

This is extremely important because we are in a business of sharing what is working for us with those that we sponsor so that we can help them shorten their timeline to success.

Anyway thanks for your insightful question, it certainly made be take a look into the past so I can remember how I have been able to reach the level of expertise I have today.

Your Partner In Success,
Marvin Drobes

Guess what?

I was a professional cellist, and I'm so happy to leave the music world.

But as they say, once a musician, always a musician.
So my CDs are all available to anyone and everyone
who likes to hear cello.

Now I play cello only for myself and for concerts that benefit charities,
and that is so liberating!

If any of you are also musicians, let me know!
We can chat about our experiences (and failures)

And those of you who would rather play your stereo
or attend concerts, please drop me a line!
We are all here to connect with each other, learning
and growing together.

Cheers,

Robert Choi

i was a teacher until i got into network marketing with a 20 year old company.  This GDI website is new for me and I decided to give it a try, not for extra income but just to see if it really works.  My other network marketing business is going on full steam ahead and it's the best thing that has ever happened to me.  At 24 I am proud to say i am financially free!  Good luck to everyone!!!  anyone wanting to contact me you'll all welcome....

God Bless you All :D

Brad,

What haven't I done? I was an actor in Hollywood. I studied International Economics in Oxford. I was invited to play doubles in Wimbledon. I did a four year stint in Alaska and Las Vegas. I was in SFI. I am still in The Greatest Vitamin and promote it heavily. I get paid $100 for each person I sign up and recently ran an ad campaign which breaks December7. I tried GHS and the Internet Marketing Center. I also tried CB Mall, and three hundred other Clickbank products! The problem there is once you find a product you want to buy you just delete your cookies and buy it from yourself and keep the commission.

I also promote Money Dragon which is real cool and it only cost $20.00 and the money is deposited directly into Paypal or Egold. It is a 2up system so it can really build a nice residual if you promote it a lot...Oh well, I am rambling. One more. I just joined Acai Plus because I was attracted to the health benefits and compensation plan. To say I have a few irons in the kettle would be an understatement. This year it is going to be about FOCUS and COMMITMENT!

To Your Success Brad!

Like for Brad Kamanski, the real question for me would be "what did I NOT do (grin)?!" Factory laborer, professor of African Studies, window cleaner, fruit picker, full bird colonel in the USArmy (funny story, that!), writer of a whole pile of books, proofreader, fortune teller, criminal (just a very small one - grin!), journalist, gun dealer, gun writer, politician, bartender, chaplain, bookseller, electrician, Orisha priest, shooting instructor, Ifa diviner, photographer's model, publisher, enthousiastic traveller on five continents... just to name a few occupations that spontaneously crop up in my mind. But I'm sure there must be some things I did not do!

I flew for an international airline for 13 years.  Had a brief stint in MLM years ago which didn't last long as I realised that the company was making more money from training video and paid seminars than anything else.  I went back to University, got a Marketing & Enterprise Development Degree, set up my own company which was very successful in Ireland and Germany.  One of the most important things that I learned from that experience is that people do business with other people, they don't do business with companies or products.  I never once advertised my primary business, everything I got was from word of mouth recommendations or networking which was fantastic!  Anyway sold my business moved to the States and here I am with GDI.

Wow...

I did SFI, Herbalife, FreeLife, worked as a claims adjuster for a large insurance company, worked for the government, and now I am Network Marketer for a wellness company (I love it), and an affiliate for a candy/gift shop (just started), and I found GDI while posting ads for the other businesses.  It sounded interesting, and the income potential seemed good, so I wanted to give it a shot.  It sounds like a few of you have had success with GDI so far. =)

A truck driver and still am, Over 15 years ago I joined amways and was a member of that for 3 years, it was very hard in those days to build a steady downline as the prices of the products were so dare because of paying for them in US dollars from NZ dollars was taking a toll on my downlines finances and just saw my downline drop like flies.

The product was great. the company was a great company to be affiliated with, it was only the price of the products, I will sat though I thank amways for giving me the mentality to succeed with all the motivational tools they had, which I carried over to GDI, now finally I can grow a business with ease and without the problems of people not being able to afford the product. With such a low participation cost.  I really get surprised how anyone can turn GDI down. I still have friends who were part of amways at the time I was a member and just in the process of following them all up to introduce GDI to them. But over the years you tend to lose touch with people and trying to find them proves harder than ever.

But will keep searching.

What did I do before discovering GDI?  I was and still am a nurse.  I work casually in one of my city's hospitals.  I also travel to the northern part of our province to provide relief in a couple of hospitals there.  I love helping people and have gained much knowledge with my experience.  I have been in the healthcare field for 18 years.

I plan on working hard at my GDI business so that I can gain knowledge and experience in this field.  I have much to learn but am willing to help others as I grow.  Success can be achieved once the mind is made up.

May we all achieve our goals.

What did I do before GDI? That's a loaded question.

I have been in some kind of network marketing since the early late 70's, back when the internet was nothing more than a group of local bulletin board services (BBS) linked together via short-wave radio. For those of you not old enough to remember those days, don't worry. We're not really that old, but we have hit the half-century mark.

I've tried a thousand plus different programs over the years and made a little here and a little there. I've probably lost a whole lot more than I've made though on most. But, GDI is by far the best opportunity I've seen in all the years I've been using a computer for income.

You know the saying, "The faster I go the behinder I get"? Don't try to go to fast. Taking your time and building a rock soliid organization is more beneficial than a fast, quick down-line of free trial users who never provide valid payment information, or drop out as soon as the free trial is over.

Nurture each and every prospect. Be selective and build a solid base upon which you can be proud of and benefit from.

I worked in the salt mines.... no really :) I did.  I still auction on eBay occasionally, sell sex toys, have a bicycling web page.  Also ran Couch Potato Marketing, a website marketing company and newsletter.  Have a webpage that offers help to seniors too.  I took a 2 year hiatus and I'm just starting to pay attention again.  My hobby is Amateur Radio, N8DRD.

I wish everyone the best of luck!

It is unfortunate that you have come to this decision.  Learning the products capabilities and promotion does take a lot of work and dedication if you are planning on using it as income.  However, the product is still valuable in itself.  Perhaps you will reconsider your decision.  Otherwise, the phone number can be found under FAQ.  Take care and wish you all the best.

I have been a graphic designer and lettering artist for 30 years, 15 of those with a major greeting card company in Cleveland. Before that, USAF and college student and dooor to door salesman. I have briefly tried network marketing in the past (in the days before the internet) but had no success. I'm just not a terribly social person so that worked against me. The internet makes that easier. I've been with GDI for less than a week and am excited about the potential. I really want this to work but am smart enough to know this "aint gonna happen overnight". Like all other network marketing businesses, it's a numbers game. Promote, promote, promote.

I am a packaging engineer, basically I design protective packaging for a variety of products that need to be shipped anywhere.  I started with my online ventures about 2 years ago on eBay selling digital products and I caught the online marketing bug.  I found out about GDI about 6 months ago and realized that residual income is where it's at.  With my eBay stuff it was usually just a one or two time sale but with GDI the income is limitless.  Now I try to convert my eBay sales into GDI prospects.

Before I came back over to GDI I was in several affiliate and Network marketing businesses. I am one of those too... What haven't I done?lol.

CSG
Ameriplan
Surveys
SFI
the list goes on and on...

I love GDI and have definitely found my home with GDI. The other companies I was with did work with minimal success I believe because duplication was few and far between. That is really what drew me into GDI was that the system GDI has is so duplicable that EVERYONE has the opportunity to succeed. This is why I will stay with GDI and build a dynasty with this AWESOME Opportunity! :)

Before GDI I had sworn off Network Marketing altogether. I started way
back in 1990 with A.L. Williams. Then I did the phone cards....nutritionals....even
the "gifting" and pay-to-surfs. I even OWNED my own Downline Club when
they were big in the late 90's.

I walked away for several years. Then I saw THE MOVIE! Yes, it
brought me back to online marketing.

I've been with GDI for 3 1/2 years. I cannot imagine life without it - I work
my business every day. Sounds like one of the testimonials on the site,
doesn't it?  ;D Sorry, it's just that I have been in so many things that are GONE
now. No other program has been around this long for me, this consistently.

Well everyone, hello from Florida.  I have read all of your statements, and it looks as though most of us are in the same boat.  I, too, have been involved in more than one scheme.  One of the worst would be NOSS, EZ 1UP, etc.  You all need to stay away from there.  You need to go to www.badbusiness.com and check first on what you think you want to get involved in!!  I STRONGLY suggest this.  As to date, I found nothing negative about GDI.  However, I will keep you informed if this changes.  However, with their reputation, I do not see this happening.  I am new to this, and hope that I can make some kind of return.  Positive thinking is an essential in anyhting that you want to succeed at.  That is also bring positive energy around you!  If there is anyone that can take the time to let us all know (besides what they send you on what you should do)  I think we would all appreciate your help.  After all, we are all in this together.   So, if there is money to be made, we should all help each other.  Any comments?

My question to you is how did you succeed at getting 3 downlines.  I have been with G.D.I. for sometime now, and nothing seems to work.  The people I had in my downline, simply gave up.
I am sticking with it, and hope to hear your comments.

Before G.D.I, I was with Amazon.  Not exactly successful  there.
I only hope things improve for me.
Please give me your secret to your downlines.

Hello,
I am brand new to GDI and have 2 downlines. I have been at this full time and I start May 4th.

Before having GDI fell into my lap... I did surveys how lame right? I also tried Ameriplan that sort of thing just wasn't for me it was a lot of hype about the company but couldn't sound like you were trying to sell your prospects on what the company offered. That means there was a lot of studing and reading their script and rehearseing script not to sound FAKE.
Well that lasted no longer then a month.
I sereached the internet for months for a second income then GDI came a long and after watching the video I was sold on the opportunity in making a residual income.
It was a lot of work to get where I am but I am willing to do what it take to be sucessful here at GDI!!!

Hello,

I have been marketing online part time now for well over 8 years plus prior to GDI.
Had some success in the direct sales industry and have been part of GDI now for well over 3 years.

Seen many companies come and go but love the support my team and my mentors give me towards running a successful home business.

My regular occupation has been the US Military for 16 years in the information technology field.
Feel very blessed to be able to share my experiences with many people.

See you at the top,

Before discovering GDI I tried to make online with Paid to Click and Paid to Read emails... with no much success. I was working for pennies... and never received payments  from any of them.

Now, working with GDI I am making money online, month by month and I enjoy promoting the business, making new contacts and friends.

Kind regards,

Hey, just joined up today. I'm a 23 year old career telemarketer. I was a top producer at my job cold-calling for 5 months before they promoted me. The whole time I was cold-calling at that job all I could think was "there has to be some way I can do this on my own from home." After searching for quite a while, I found this opportunity which really excites me. If I can sell a $40 chimney sweep to a complete stranger over the phone, dialing manually, 3 or 4 times in 6 hours, there's no reason I can't succeed in this calling on some leads. I'm looking forward to hitting the phones once again and developing some business relationships with the right people. Cheers.

Hey Guys & Gals
I have been in Ebay for about 7 yrs now. Ebay fees are outrageous!!! At first I was going to put my items on my website. But this thing (GDI) is for REAL!!! So why not send everyone to watch the video. And maybe in a few months, pay myself instead of Ebay!! Great way to get Flyers and BIZ cards in peoples hands. Selling on Ebay!!
Thanks for your time
Dave ;D

Hello Everyone,

Giving this topic a bump, it has been inactive for a while but forum members seem to think it's a very interesting thread. Besides, it's always nice to hear what other people were doing prior to joining GDI.

So what are you waiting for? Share your story with the rest of the .WS community!

I was with another NWM Company since 2006. I walked away from it when I found GDI. I did make money but GDI's has an actual system for people to use which makes a world of difference.

I'm one of those people that tried one online income program one after another. I think I was a member of at least twenty 'money-making' programs. I even remember having a GDI account in the distant past, and at that time it was just too complicated for me, and so I left for greener pastures. Well....I'm back, and I'm glad I came back.
