Title: Google Adwords
Post by: AftabHusain on May 26, 2011, 08:51:21 AM
Hi fellow GDI members,

I was wondering if any of you guys have been using Google adwords to advertise?

If yes then how do you go about the whole process?
And how much budget should one set aside to get results?

Do people actually get sign ups through Google adwords?
Is it really worth it?

Please do give examples of words that could be used and can be effective in advertising

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated,

Regards,

Aftab Husain

i haven't done that yet, but i think it's an really good idea.
people that are searching for easey money or something like that gonna see your link and they'll click on it.
and you only pay per click and i don't think they've any bot running that visits your website 10 times a day.

so if i've earned some money with this than i think i'm gonna do that.

and i don't think it's an bad idea for you to

Watch out,

You could lose a lot of money if you don't know what your doing!

I advise that you set a daily limit and drive your clicks to a squeeze page that builds your email list.

At least that way you could build a relationship and sell them on something later.

If you send them straight to a gdi sales page you'll lose the lead forever because most of your clicks won't join GDI.

People join people, not opportunities!

I couldn't agree better with Joe.

I've been with GDI for a while now and I've tried almost every trick in the book when it comes to Pay Per Click advertising.

If you don't know what your doing, do some heavy research first.

Quick tip: Try only using the keyword "signup for Global Domains International". Using one keyword might produce slower results but you'll be spending less money and you'll be targeting people that have already done the research on GDI and are ready to join. So it's like your taking credit for somebody else's work.

oh and one more thing....the daily spending budget is not actually your limit to what you spend a day, its a budget that Google tries to meet by the end of the day with no guarantee of meeting it or not rising above it. So Google may charge you less or more then your daily budget, It's not a fixed guaranteed budget! So be careful.

Joe is right. People join People not opportunities.

If you want to learn more about using and setting up adwords campaigns there are some helpful articles located here www.ptc.sharpmarketing.ws (http://www.ptc.sharpmarketing.ws) . While it is basic stuff it should give you a great idea of if you want to use PPC advertising or not.

Hi all,

Thank you so much for the replies!
That's a ton of information and help i got from all of you individually!

Thanks Again!

Well i recently made up an account for Google Adwords.
I got an email from GOOGLE saying that i qualify for a FREE $100 coupon!
So yeah that's $100 worth of free advertising which is like totally awesome!

I called them up and i told them i got an email and yeah i qualify for the free $100 ads!
They said i can start a campaign right away BUT i have to change my website because it violates the rules and regulations of GOOGLE ADWORDS!

I was amazed and wanted to know how!?
The lady said that when she goes to www.infiniteincome.ws(Which is my website) then it takes her to a replicated website which is against the policy!
In the policy it states that the website should not refer the individual to any other page but ONLY the very own website of the company/business advertising.

I spent half an hour explaining to her that what she is going to is my very own website BUT is a replicated website of GDI which i am promoting!
But she just would not agree to it and said it is still a violation of their policy and i have to change my website in order to qualify for the $100 worth of free advertising and start a campaign.

I am sad and infuriated by this because that is the only website i have and i really need people in my downline.
I cannot believe i am about to miss on $100 worth of free advertising!

I feel really bad but i am not giving up!
Thanks to Facebook and the rest! :D

Well that was the sad news i got today and yeah i guess life goes  on! :)
Thanks for reading this and have a great day!

Hey Aftab

Google Adwords do not allow redirecting urls.

Your webiste: http://www.infiniteincome.ws is redirecting to http://website.ws/smaftabh.

^^Thats against the policy^^

It's easy to fix this. Just login to your GDI members area and instead of selecting the forward option on your website, select the parked option. This will prevent any redirecting and should get your ad approved!

Once you have chosen the parked option, test your site before resubmitting it to G Adwords. If your site does not get forwarded to http://website.ws/smaftabh then the DNS change is complete. I think it may take up to 48 hours but from past experience, it's only taken 1-2 hrs.

TAKE MY ADVICE ON THE KEYWORD SUGGESTIONS I MADE EARLIER!

Only use GDI, Global Domains International, Global Domains International signup, GDI signup for your keywords. This way, you'll only be attracting those who have already done some research on GDI and are interested in joining GDI. It's also a very efficient way to work with Adwords.

Hope it works well!

Hi Nav,

Yeah i know it is against the policy that is why they are not accepting my website.

I fixed this problem and i changed it to the parked option as you said.
I did that yesterday but it's still getting forwarded to http://www.website.ws/smaftabh

You said it might take 48 hours so i guess it is going to take that long because it has been 24 hours already!

My question is even on the parked option would it still take me to my GDI replicated website?

Yeah i will take your advice on that as i am on a low budget and i need to grow my downline as well!
Thanks for all the help Nav,i really appreciate it!

Hello

Yes it will take you to your replicated site as before, just without the redirecting.

As soon as you see that it has stopped redirecting, try G Adwords again.

Oh and BTW, I think this may help you rank in Google/Other search engines too. As your URL is not redirecting so all your pagerank is not flowing to your replicated site and staying with your domain. But it will still be very hard to rank due to duplicate content. I'm not 100% sure about this. Would make sense if it did.

Hi Nav,

Thanks for the help man but after putting my domain option on PARKED it is still redirecting to www.website.wsésmaftabh

I contacted GDI support to find out what the problem is and they said that it would still redirect as i am using their replicated website and i do not have my own content.
It would only NOT redirect to www.website.ws/smaftabh if i use the Sitebuilder, Hosting or Advanced Nameserver option.

Thanks for all the help anyways.
I guess no Google Adwords for me then :(
Unless i build my very own website!

Hello Aftab

If thats the case, there is still one simple thing you could do.

Don't use your domain in G adwords. Just enter the link www.website.ws/smaftabh. That way, no redirecting will be done (FOR SURE).

Hi Nav,
I tried using www.website.ws/smaftabh for Google Adwords as well but it got disapproved again :(
Out of frustration and annoyance i made up a blog and wrote down a lot of stuff about GDI and then i used the link of my blog and it finally got approved! :D
Too bad i could not use a lead capture page but yeah writing a blog on GDI is really helpful too as it is a sales page as well and promotes everything about GDI.

So yeah my application has finally been approved and NO i am not getting $100 worth of FREE advertising because its more than a week now! :(
But anyways it's all good.
I learnt that i can use Google Adsense for my blog and i guess that's a great way to make money on the side with GDI as well!
Do check out my BLOG though and let me know what you think

GDI BLOG : http://www.infiniteincomews.blogspot.com

Thanks for all your help man!

Hey

That's a real shame you missed out on the free credit.

It doesn't make any sense. I've advertised with Google plenty of times (using my replicated site) and I've had no problems....

Must be something that they have changed on their side.

Did they explain why the ad had been disapproved again?

Anyway, thats a nice blog but i see your using a third party blog service (blogger.com). You should create a subdomain from your .ws (infiniteincome.ws) and use that as a WordPress blog. So you could have blog.infiniteincome.ws as your blog instead of http://www.infiniteincomews.blogspot.com.

Hi Nav,

Yeah i know man shame on me! :(
I have got some more bad news.

I got this recent email from GOOGLE:

Hello Aftab,

Thank you for your email. I've reviewed your account and noticed that your account has been suspended as you were promoting the site 'http://www.infiniteincomews.blogspot.com/' which is in violation of our get rich quick policy. At this time, Google AdWords does not permit sites that promise an exaggerated payout for little to no effort.

Our Landing Page and Site Policies will consider how products are promoted, in ad text and on the landing page, to determine site compliance. Get-rich quick claims may be seen as an attempt to deceive our users, and thus may merit low landing page quality scores.

Creating a successful website is hard work. Successful sites earn their money by writing compelling content, developing useful applications, and maintaining vibrant user communities. Claims that you can make just as much money from posting links, using a “secret” system, or running a kit to generate websites should be treated with skepticism.

We recommend that you modify your site so that it more realistically and accurately conveys the benefits of your product. Be transparent to users about any risks involved in using your product.

However, if you still want a refund of the amount in your account, please reply to this email and we'll help you get a refund.

We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Have a good day!

Sincerely,

Sricharan
The Google AdWords Team

This is really very annoying and frustrating Nav as i already paid $20 into my Adwords account and i was ready to get started ! :(
I really do not know what to do!
This guy is saying that they do not accept such advertisers which are advertising such income opportunities!
OMG Google!

I have given up all hope on Adwords,
I guess i am not lucky unlike you and the rest.

Well another bad day for me and yeah that's that :(

Thats ridiculous!

Looks like Google have changed quite a bit then.

GET A REFUND! Reply to that email and get your refund.

Try other ad networks like MSN (BING) and Facebook.

Sorry to hear the bad news mate.
