Let me introduce you to a little known secret about the maths behind GDI. Most people join GDI on their own. Imagine working as a little team. A team of 4 is the optimal number. The aim of the team is to break even and cover your costs as fast as possible. Then you can slow down and plan your own individual ideas. Let me explain how the team method is a key to success: 4 people get together to make a team. The first person (you) are already signed up to GDI. You get 3 more friends/prospects who like the idea and are willing to work on it. One(#2) signs up under you, the next(#3) signs up under #2 and the last(#4) signs up under #3. Then all 4 people focus on getting sign ups for the person at level #4. Forget about your own account, just help #4 until they have 10 people. This mean each person only needs to get 3 sign ups to cover their costs.
