Many time you get leads, you will get an option to recieve them in a certain format.  I think .cvs is the one that you use for MS excel.  You can also try using the support from the place you got leads from.  They should be able to direct you.  You can also learn to get your own leads.  That will eliminate the problem.  I don't buy leads.  There are a few programs online that incorperate GDI into their own business model.  It will increase your business.  Use the capture pages in your marketing campaigne.  When someone signs up, they are now in your letter email series.  You can add more letters of your own, offer them your personal training.  When you take on a leadership role, people will be more likely to take your advice.  People are naturally attracted to leaders.  Learning network marketing takes time.  This is a people business, communicate with your leads.  Offer them your best help, and don't ignor them.  They are the reason you will make money.  Zig Ziglar once said something like this. "You will get what you want out of life, if you just help others get what they want"...  Words to live by!

Good morning all.

I know, that buying Leads is of absolutely no "NUTRITIONAL' value!
Purchased Leads are sold by the thousands and benefit only the people who sell them!
They are in most cases outdated, and having been on the 'receiving' end of e-mails sent by GDI members,I know first hand that many people are getting bilked out of their money, showing
ZERO results in most, if not all cases.

Rather than buying Leads, invest the money in getting GDI DVD's!!
Even getting "in house" Leads are not bringing the desired results. ( I bought 2000, -0 - responses!)
THERE ARE BETTER WAYS.
Explore them!

The dvds are great to use at home for offline marketing.
They will get a better understanding how gdi works.
You get better results.

You can create simple splash page and generate leads on your own.
That's what I do.
I generated 155 leads in 3 weeks using only 2 traffic exchange programs.
Of those 155 leads I got two GDI affiliates.
This works.

Hi Sanjinka;
Please correct me if I am wrong, two sign ups out of 155 leads amounts to 0.01% successrate!
Has your rate increased? I'd still go with the DVD's.

wernerk.

Hi Werner,

I am still following up with my leads and I'll do that
until they sign up GDI or opt out.
I have a few DVD's, they are great, but I cannot
do much with them here (I live in Bosnia and Herzegovina
where hardly anyone speaks English).
That's why I do mostly online advertising.

It's simple to create leads online when you use your GDI website to create a lead capture page and then advertise that lead capture page online.

Safelists, Traffic exchanges and other online resources work great for Lead Capture pages.

I offer training for GDI members on just how to do it.  You can listen to our recorded class and follow along with the slides at http://www.contactlistbuilder.com/conference/GDI/recordings.html

Our workshops are held every Wednesday at 3PM and 8PM Eastern and I welcome you to register and attend.  You'll find details at the site above.

You can also download my free list building strategies report that comes with free rebranding rights and shows step by step directions on how to use GDI to create a lead capture page and add subscribers to your autoresponder.
http://www.contactlistbuilder.com/report/listbuilding/

When you create your lead capture page, you are creating something unique to everything else online.  This creates curiousity in the viewers - let's face it ... we get desensitized to all the same old same old online.

I hope this helps :-)

Hi Sajinka;  -Dobro Utro-

Having lived in Magyar Orszag some years back, I remember that a good number of people
speak German.
In case you are not familiar with it, the GDI DVD has a link for the german translation on it.

Well now Werner, that's a pessimistic sort of maths you practice (grin)! Two sign-ups out of 155 leads is roughly 0.77 percent, which is not bad at all. In fact it's pretty darn good.

Hello Jaap; ( Lazy man's way to riches)
Nice to hear from you again.
Well, math has never been my #1 subject. However, I always got good grades in Singing and
Religion!
By the way, I don't think that I ever told you that I'm from Duesseldorf.
Still prefer GDI DVD's over buying leads, which only benefit the ones who sell them!!!

I saw a couple of really nice Capture Pages in the show your website section. One was a girl in a bikini and the other was a family. Are these GDI capture pages and if so how do I get one. I think they would be effective in my marketing. Thank you. Brad

Hello I Tudor,

I was having the same problem at one time. No matter what I did I would
still get that error message. I even requested my pass. When they sent it
back to me it was what I had been using. Now I was confused. You know
what the problem was? Well I had the caps lock on. Once I turned it off
I was back in business. Hope this helps you. ::)

Title: How to keep our domain personal information private ?
Post by: AlexanderD on February 07, 2007, 12:15:05 PM
Hi,
I'm just new to GDI, and i've purchased a domain name few days ago. I've read in the faq here http://website.ws/faq/questions_ws.dhtml#PRIVATE that's possible to keep our personal information private. But i've seen nowhere how to do it in my account not even when i've subscribed. How can i keep my personal informations private from "whois" requests ?

Title: Making my domain personal whois informations private
Post by: AlexanderD on March 13, 2007, 11:31:55 AM
Hi everybody,

I've already posted this question here several weeks ago (obviously this previous question has disappeared) but wasn't able to get any answer although this option is pointed by the FAQ which told me that making whois personal informations private was possible. But I haven't seen how to do it in my account.
Could somebody tell me how to do it now ?
Thanks

Hi,

Below is what I cut and paste from the FAQ about private domain name registration

Quote
Can I register a domain and keep my personal information private?

We do not currently offer private domain registration. When doing a "whois" search, the name, phone number and email address used by the registrant at the time of registration will be available.

So this means this feature is currently not available.

Title: Can the language of the member page be change?

Hello

I am practically new in GDI but so far I haven't had a problem except that a new affiliate of mine does not understand english and ask me if the language settings could be change in the members page and the invitations?

I would never recommend buying leads from GDI or most any other company for that matter. You never know where they came from. The CD's are fine as long as you put them in the right places.

I generated six sales recently without paying a dime for my leads because I know where to find unlimited leads for free. I know exactly who these people are and they are much more receptive then bought leads.

There is a community where all you have to do is join GDI in their downline and you will be able to receive free internet training for life. This is where I learned to generate my own leads for free and there are other classes like website promo techniques, blogging, Outlook Express. They even have a class for the GDI back office to help you get your paperwork into the company so you can get paid.

Right now all the classes are for free but they are going to start charging soon and only some of them will be accessable with the GDI sign-up. It will cost more money for the other more advanced classes. Most of my sign-ups already had GDI accounts but signed up again when they saw what else they could get.

It's a great pitch. "Sign-up for GDI and get all this other stuff for free."

Title: new member is having trouble- subscription expired?
Post by: CarrieS on May 30, 2007, 07:09:37 AM
Hi,

I hope someone can help me out...I have a new member who just wrote to me that he could not log in, he was getting the message "subscription has expired". When I look him up in my downline, under the "trial" category he is showing as "3" and under the active category, he is showing as "1". What do these numbers mean? Does he have 3 trial accounts? I'm a little lost as to what to tell him.

Thanks for your help,

Carrie

Title: New member status???
Post by: BradleyBye on June 24, 2007, 04:47:58 AM
Hi Everyone!

I’m just a newbie, signed up about a month ago.  Over the last week I’ve had a couple of sign ups which are brown (inactive). At no time were they blue (trial), they just appeared as inactive and they have 0 active domains, so I'm assuming that I will not be getting any commissions from them.  I thought this seemed slightly strange, because I would have thought that they could not be inactive until the one week trial had finished, and GDI tried to receive payment from them.  Has anyone else had this problem?  Does anyone know why this happens? Did they forget to select a domain name? Did they enter false credit card details, or perhaps not enter any credit card details at all?  Does anyone know what to do to get them to become an active member????

Anyway, I’ve been looking for the right opportunity for years now, and I am so glad that I have finally found the right one, I wish I had found it a few years ago!  I’ve never been this excited in my life, I honestly have trouble sleeping at night!

Cheers,
Brad

It helps to think of your downline as a sales team ... as with any sales program it helps to have the right ready to use tools to make it simple and easy for them to take action ... think about what would help make their marketing easier to do and can be done in 2 hours a day. While there are many suggestions out there about what to do there are only a few true sytems that offer turn key systems for affiliates to take action every day and  that aren't being used by everyone else that in turn clutters the market- The best thing to do is test your own efforts, refine, promote and survey and find out what they need ... it's not much different from you need to market you own business- :)

Title: Re: can someone help me with this "what is HTML code stand for"
Post by: Joel_P on July 30, 2007, 03:00:20 AM
Hi Phatthira_V,

Your question was, "what is HTML code stand for and what does it do?"
I have an answer for you,

HTML stands for the HyperText Markup Language. HTML code is the major language of the Internet's World Wide Web. Web sites and web pages are written in HTML code. With HTML code and the world wide web, you have the ability to bring together text, pictures, sounds, and links... all in one place! HTML code files are plain text files, so they can be composed and edited on any type of computer... Windows, Mac, UNIX, whatever.
You can insert HTML codes into web pages that you personally create, you can create your codes using HTML Builders or use existing HTML codes from others sources
The benefits of adding HTML code to your web pages are huge! For example, Google Adsense has been making thousands of "every day" people thousands of dollars a MONTH in additional revenue... simply for placing Google Adsense code (provided by Google) on their web pages. Now it's YOUR turn!
PayPal is another easy example. Set up your free PayPal account and follow their simple instructions to start collecting orders from your web site immediately! For Helpful Hints and details you can PM me.
To use HTML you will first need a web page to add your HTML code to.

Examples for code
(Your access code is your username)

URL   to promote the GDI business opportunity

If you want to be referring show dvd to your affiliate link (you can find it in Hit Logs)

This is your Affiliate URL to promote it:

http://www.freedom.ws/username/show_dvd

username is the username you chose during sign up, remember to change username to your own.
This is a banner HTML code, when you click on the banner it will open your affiliate page, copy the following into a web page (insert html):

<object  classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
    codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0"

Bonjour Olivier!

In order to partake in GDI, it's not necessary to run it via a company at all: "private person" works fine! As for tax: I fear that in every European country (and quite likely everywhere else too) the income from GDI falls under income tax. This is where any sort of company would come in handy, on account of lower taxes and such. I think it's best you direct your questions to your local Chamber of Commerce, they can give you a wealth of information!

Jaap Verduijn.

IT'S BEEN VERY FRUSTRATING FOR ME AND MY SON WHO GOT ME INTO THIS..AND I GOT A FEW OTHERS UNDER ME ALSO AND I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHERE THE HELP IS. I'VE SENT E-MAILS TO SOME OF T

I have been doing this for 5 months with no luck.  I know they say be patient, but I have followed every rule advised.  Is there someone who really has it going on in this thing that can help us who aren't getting it.  Through my trial and error I have found simple is better but how I translate that into success and money.  Sending emails aren't working, traffic exchanges jacked up my computer and the flyers are too expensive to print and the bottom line is the average person just wont be able to talk to people.  I know the DVD's are great so that's where I'm leaning, but again I ask thiis, "Is there someone with a secret they are not sharing that is getting results".  How about sharing the wealth.  I would invest in someting like a program that really brought people in and then I would use the pay it forward method if anyolne is familiar with that.  I need an angel, are you out there?

Massive is the key.  Whatever you do, do it massively!  Pass Out business cards?  What is a massive amount?
Well we do 10 a day, and get hits AFTER A WHILE.  IF you keep passing them out, then SOMEDAY, someone
will go to your site, and SOMEONE will sign up.  Let me give you a hint here.

2,000 leads sent out a day.  These are two week old leads, so not the best, but leads.  4% will open the lead,
or about 80 people.  80 will Opt out most days.  Are they dead?  NO, now I can call them, if I have a number.
Some will keep opening, and NOT opt out.  They go into our auto responder, and we mail daily, or every two
days.

We have another lead system that is double opt in," right now", "today" kind of lead.  Much better.  When they
click, we are notified, and we call.  Sign ups happen.

We post to classified ads.  Spend much time, and are getting better.  TRUTH.  15 sign ups in last three months,
but we are getting MORE hits all the time, as we learn.

We too were very frustraited when we started.  Couldn't find the help we wanted on the forum, or at least we
thought so. SO we determined, that as we learned, we would help people.

IM me.

Ok, thank you for the inspiration, but let me ask yout this, where are you getting your leads from?  Are you using the email system and is it working?  What is getting the most results for you, because that's what I'd like to attack.  Are you using any special phrases in your ads that are getting attention.

Title: Re: Autoresponder
Post by: DPro on October 16, 2007, 10:46:05 AM
In order to setup an autoresponder on your website, you need to have an autoresponder account.
Some of the popular autoresponders are aweber and getresponse. (it will cost you about $17-$19/month)

If you are looking for free autoresponder account, please send me a private message.

Once you have signed up for an autoresponder account, just paste the code provided on your GDI webpage.
You can refer to my previous post on how to do this

I know you can make your contact information invisible to your upline but can you make your contact information invisible to your downline? I know someone who is real private but might be interested in dong gdi is there an option to do this?

Title: Re: Making your contact information visible
Post by: Wilson J on November 07, 2007, 05:35:26 AM
That's an interesting idea.  Please impress upon him how important it is to be available to his downline.  If he helps them, he helps himself.  But if he wants anonymity, he should devise a psuedonym and create an e-mail that he will use only for GDI.  His downline could then contact him without knowing who he really is.

Would I be able to do this, my reasons for asking is this is a rather famous lady and I do not want her to have stalkers. I was wondering if it would be within the rules of gdi to give her my number to use so she can enter that when she signs up. That way if anyone has any questions they can call me. I just want to protect her safety, this woman is a famous model,

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this and just received my welcome email with lots of links and useful information. I saw a link that is supposed to lead to my personal introductory flash movie for my prospects to watch and learn about our oppurtunity.  I hate to say, i clicked on the link to see what my video/movie looks like and I'm disappointed. It's animated characters and scenes don't seem to present a professional quality.  It looks like some kid in high school made it for his homework assignment.  The link I clicked on the first time I was shown GDI lead me to watch a movie with real people and great visuals. I was expecting to see something more along those lines.  My questions is does everyone get the same link to the same animated video that I got ?

Hi Jodie,
Just one question.  Do you think a business is built over night?  You and I both know the answer to that...No.  It takes time to build.  Perhaps it would be more lucrative to promote the product as opposed to the business.  Not everyone will be interested in a business venture.  However, many people would be interested in obtaining an internet identity.  Did you enjoy putting your site together?  Relay that to others.  I wish you all the best.  Take care.

I HAVE NOT FOUND TO MANY THAT ARE INTERESTED MYSELF.
HAVE BEEN IN AROUND 2 MONTHS AND NO SIGN UP'S.

BUT I AM NOT GIVING UP.
FOR ONE THING I ENJOY HAVING MY OWN WEB PAGES AND WORKING WITH THEM.
FOR TWO IN ORDER TO BULID A GOOD DOWNLINE YOU NEED PEOPLE WHO ARE WILLING TO
BELIVE THAT IT CAN HAPPEN. AND IT TAKES TIME TO FIND PEOPLE WHO ARE RIGHT FOR
THE BUSINESS, AND TIME TO BUILD A SOLID BUSINESS.

QUICK SIGN UPS FROM SPAM EMAIL LISTS AND ETC. USUALLY WILL NOT STAY FOR
THE LONG HALL.

KEEP PASSING OUT BUSINESS CARDS AND SHOWING THE DVD'S AND
SOONER OR LATER IT HAS TO HAPPEN

Title: Question About Craigs List!!
Post by: Carol Iliou on November 29, 2007, 03:23:39 AM
Hi Everyone,

I've tried using the Search bar on this but didn't come up with any satisfying answers to my questions, so please excuse me if somehow I've overlooked what's been written before about Craig's List.

I'm midway through my seven-day trial and I AM planning on sticking with this afterwards -- I'm someone who, when involved in something, wants to really make it WORK.  :)

I tried writing my own little classified ads for Craig's List on Tuesday, and I put them in different cities in the ETC/Part Time Job category.  My dilemma is this: I've seen MANY other people doing the same thing for THEIR GDI sites and they don't get deleted. I've posted 9 ads so far and it seems only one of them, which was put in for Dublin, Ireland, was actually flagged/deleted. I was looking at my account activity and that was the only ad that was in "pink" (which is the color they use when they flag or delete something).  The remaining 8 were in the green, or "Active" category. However, when I go looking for these "green" ads in the cities I've posted them in, I can NOT find them anywhere!!  :o Does anyone know why this is? All the ads were identical, I just placed it in different cities. Was the only one marked in pink representative of the others as well? I wouldn't think so, unless I'm mistaken.

If I was deleted because Craig's List felt my "job ad" was iffy, then how come all these other GDI ads don't get deleted? What did I do wrong??  ???

I'm very confused and feeling quite discouraged for my work.  :-\

Any help/advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

my site yet so I sent in a landing page. I 'm more concerned that in their
advertising it says they will send a report to you withing 24 hours and I haven't

" Please expect a submission report and introduction letter from your account manager within 24 hours."

Nothing yet.  I'm waiting till after the New Year to question them.

Post by: B_Thomas on January 06, 2008, 06:33:28 AM
Hello my name is Thomas . I am new with GDI. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this. I have thousands of good leads that I could approach with GDI  through my business and  a message board and community that I am a respected member of .The message board gets a hundred thousand hit’s a day . The one thing I keep running into is this. People want to see some proof that the people above me are making some money , they realize I have’nt been doing it long enough to have made anything yet. If anyone has a copy of a check from GDI or screenshot from Paypal where you or anyone has made a decent commission from GDI that you  or I could show people to help get them signed up it would really help all of us because I know with proof I could get a lot of people to do GDI.

Post by: DBriere on January 07, 2008, 03:14:10 AM
B_Thomas, I know what this is like, as I have run into it myself. But why do people need proof? If they understand the concept, they will easily see that the potential for making lots of money is great. I know that when I have people who start demanding proof, I move on to other prospects - there are people who want to actually improve their lives, and not try to pick holes in something because they are too afraid to say it is not for them.

I purchased some leads last week.  If you go to page 1 of this thread....someone says purchasing leads aren't really a good method because the same names are sometimes sold to more than one member and some of the names are old.

Title: Re: can someone help me with this
Post by: DPro on January 11, 2008, 01:41:35 PM
Purchased leads only works if they are new and exclusively yours. These leads are usually expensive, about $10 per lead.
If you are paying anything less then that, or if you were offered FREE leads for joining any business, those leads are recycled and your emails to them will most likely be blocked.
Another danger in getting free or cheap leads is these leads may have filed a spam complaint since their emails are bombarded too many times,
so if you send to them you run the risk of getting banned by your ISP.

Personally I believe in using an autorespoder program to put a form on my page and generate the leads myself.
This way I keep the contacts to myself and build relationship with them.

If you need help in autoresponder or lead generation, please pm me.

Hi Sanjinka;
Please correct me if I am wrong, two sign ups out of 155 leads amounts to 0.01% successrate!
Has your rate increased? I'd still go with the DVD's.
Regards,
wernerk.

Hi Wernerk,

I am not sure how your math works, but by my calculations,  2 members out of 155 leads is almost 2% return which is very good
and is much better than 0 members out of 2,000 leads as mentioned by someone else.

Title: Watching the online version of the DVD
Post by: Jones_Emily on February 08, 2008, 05:43:46 PM
Hi all!

I have a quick question about the website we are supposed to direct our prospects to in order for them to watch the DVD online.

I was surfing a traffic exchange earlier today and there was a GDI site that had the video playing automatically...anyone know what that landing page is?

I have the address to the ticket page (where they are able to fill in their name to personalize the movie), but would REALLY like to have the URL to the site where the movie begins playing automatically.

Thanks in advance guys!!

:) Emily

Title: Happy Valentine's Day Everyone :) A Few Questions....
Post by: Kimberly R on February 15, 2008, 03:33:01 AM
Hey Y'all!!  ;D Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!  8)

My name is Kimberly. I'm a new GDI team member & am very excited about this life time opportunity.
I want to work this to the max and help countless other people experience the great opportunities
GDI has available.  I hope to get to know as many of you as possible & learn from your wisdom
and experience as well throughout the coming years.

I have several questions regarding training.

   * I had just started and was going to have my first interviews yesterday with the assistance of my 2nd
up in my upline..but he was put on temporary suspension pending investigation - something about t.o.s.
We are being assured that this is "common place" and that he'll be reinstated in a matter of days. In
the meantime...needless to say I have been the "interviewee" and not the interviewer.. Do any of you
conduct phone interviews? If so, would you please kindly offer me some suggestions
on how to go about this and in such a manner that I don't do anything abusive without
knowing. I sure would appreciate it.

  * Do any of you do what is known as "pay it forward"? Ie: pay the first month
of the applicants/new members via PayPal in order to allow them enough time
beyond the 7 day free trial to earn a first paycheck & start to earn residual?
My fiance and I were told that this is a great idea ... How many of you do it? If you
do...does it work? If you don't do it...what are some of the other techniques
that you use to get the new members to actually sign up and follow through
with the process?

*I noticed while reading older postings that there were for a time training
calls conducted on Sunday nights? Are these still available? If so, I would
love to take advantage of that to learn all that I can, take notes, etc.

I would appreciate hearing any suggestions/advice/tidbits of wisdom that you would be willing
to share.

As they say.."Time is money" and "time's a wastin"... and I want to
not stay in a standstill because of not knowing how I should conduct
an interview due to lack of training because of an unforseen situation with
my upline.

 Thank you Smiley
Kimberly - and Matt - my fiance

Title: Downline that is way pass there 7-day trial....Help....
Post by: SherryWalters on February 20, 2008, 09:14:43 AM
Hello everyone my name is sherry, I have a question. I have a person in my downline that is way pass there 7-day trial, about a week over. I had tried to contact this person, with no reply. I have contacted support, and not much they could do only send him an email. I don’t want to sound money hungry. I decided to join so that I could make some money at least. So, if this person don’t pay, and gets sign ups that means I lose. I don’t want to come off as a money hungry person. I just try to succeed at what I do.

Need Some Help With This Thank You

Title: just signed up
Post by: MattyS on March 03, 2008, 09:55:03 AM
Hi everyone,
I just signed up and was duly e-mailed my "startup" info. I have absolutely no idea about how websites work or what I really need to do to start. let me give an example.
I found gdi thru the sponsored results on google....how do I get my reference links to be recognised and displayed in google or any other search engine?
I've generally found the info/ starter pack confusing, complicated and very unhelpful, but hell...I'm new!!!
Maybe I dont know enough to even ask the right questions.
Do I achieve google presence with the web site I create or does it happen with my referal links automatically...but then how do I personalise them???
can anyone point me in the right direction?
Utterly Confused and Frustrated;
thanks...matty

This may seem rather daft, but can anyone please tell me what the proper link would be for my 7 minute video? The only one I can find is if I want to add a prospect's name. Is there a general link if I don't want it personallised? Thanks so much.

Hello Lisa,

Your question/request is not daft.  In order for your guests to see the presentation, they do have to place their first name and at least an initial in the fields provided.  Here is the proper link to the 7 minute movie, it goes directly to the movie.  www.website.ws/InsertYourUserNameHere/show

You can create simple splash page and generate leads on your own.
That's what I do.
I generated 155 leads in 3 weeks using only 2 traffic exchange programs.
Of those 155 leads I got two GDI affiliates.
This works.

Regards,
Sanjinka
That's awesome....now you know your law of averages !! If you want 20 new signups, you need to get 1550 new leads ! That's awesome !

How do I make a link to the video. Instead of the e-mail capture page

Open the site builder program
Click on the html tab at the bottom
Copy and paste the following code:

<a href="http://website.ws/kvmlm2/_show.dhtml?speed=high&sponsor=xxx&fname=&lname=">Click here for movie </a>

Remember to replace xxx with your GDI username
Now when people click on the link that says "Click here for movie", they will be redirected to your movie page

Wecome to GDI.  If you're ready to begin creating your website, go to www.GDI-Made-Easy.ws for step by step instructions.

Frank

p.s.  In the future, you may be able to find the answer to your question if you use the search field provided above, which is located under your profile image.  Using the search field, in most cases, will get your questions answered immediately instead of waiting for someone to reply or respond to your question(s).

Can I know more about how to do this? I am in GDI but have been buying my Leads with no responses.

Thanks Ray

You can generate leads by putting a form on your webpage and give away stuff.
First sign up for an email capture program or autoresponder
I am using grabthatlead.com, others available are aweber.com and getresponse.com

To give away stuff, either create your own or purchase some digital reports which come with givaway rights.
I find that creating my own reports is more effective,
Just get some ideas from articles in ezinearrticles.com or goarticles.com
There are also tonnes of resources if you google "mlm articles"

Drop me a message if you need more help.

I am specifically looking for the link that with your id...brought you to a page that highlighted the website and downplayed the income opportunity. I intend to market both to people who are interested in building a website for themselves as well as those looking for the income opportunity...if you can help me with this please feel free to email me

No, they will not mail by them self. are the leads in a file or can you see them on a page? if you can see them just copy and paste to note pad. If it is a file you should not need a program just to download them. I guess we need more info. to help more. After you get them how are you going to send them out? Learn the rules (Laws) first!

Tim,

When you joined, you should of received an email with all of your details.  The members area, the login and password that you created, etc.  Your sponsor, the person you signed up under would have this information as well unless you have no idea who you signed up under and that happens as well.

Go to www.website.ws/members and login with your username and password.  Once you login you will see everything.  Also, here on the forum, you will find so many answers to the questions you may have.  Just conduct a search using the "SEARCH" field at the upper left of this page.

I wish you the best.  Again, the answers to all of your questions are with your sponsor and here in this forum.

Title: Best Promoting Method for Newbie's???

Hi...

I just joined GDI late last week and wanted to put some serious kick out there to build my downline.  Nothing yet, but I didn't expect it within a couple of days.  Can some of you please share how you got people to join your team?  I'm using a new automated promotional website that sends out 50,000, plus trying to find other methods.

Anyone's help is appreciated!
I want to make this work and am willing to devote the time to it!

Thanks!

I'm a newbie,i don't have any downline yet,can someone get me the bestand fast  solution in getting downline ?

My experience says, that the best way to get new members in your downline, is to use downline builders. They are more efficient than using just the GDI promotion sites. I am using 2 downline builders as a system, with quite good results. There are several GDI downline builders, you just have to find those that suits your needs.

I wish you success,

Kind egards,

After logging out of sitebuilder I go to a login page with a blue box for user name, password and domain name.

I can't log back in to my site using this - any idea what the problem might be?

I have checked the password, tried it uppercase/lowercase and domain name with and without .ws - no joy

Yes, I can go right back through the other signup route, but it is a bit of a pain!

Ok so I signed up for my 7 day trial which will end on Friday. So far I am clueless on how you guys are makeing the money. The video made it sound alot easier than it really is. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am not sure I am going to continue after my 7days due to not understanding it. I recently lost my job so I am looking for free cheap ways to advertise it. Thanks

 Hi Ashlyn,

There are many free ways to advertise your GDI Business so that your downlines grow.. I like Blogging, articles and forums.. there are also some recruiting systems that are made to help you build
GDI.. Some of these are free and have very good training.. and there are some that charge you just to signup so be careful..

I have been getting paid from GDI for over a year so this does work and the movie does sell itself.. you just need to get the your movie referral link out infront of as many eyes as you can..

Just login to your member area and register for another domain name.
After that write to support to cancel the present one.

Hi everyone,

I see a lot of people in this thread are asking for help in growing their GDI business.  First of all, you must understand that in order for any business to grow, you must give it time.  I tell my downline members to give their GDI business a year.  Commit to your GDI for a year, and you will  really see the results not only from your efforts, but from the efforts of your downline members through 5 levels.

Not everyone is going to get their 5 to 10 members or whatever at the same time.  I like to tell my downline members to try to set a goal of 5 members, 'cause when everyone gets their 5, each person will receive $3,905 per month, but it's going to take time and patience and a bit of promotion effort.  Time and patience does not cost anything, and there is always free advertising.

I have been using free advertising for awhile, and this is how I have been able to grow my downline.  Free advertising does work, but if you wish to make your GDI business a little more automated and you can afford to spend on some advertising, then I would recommend some paid advertising, along with free advertising.

It's like running a lemonade stand.  You have to buy the lemons in order to make the lemonade and sell it.  In this example, to make your lemonade business grow, you must first buy something, and in this case it's the lemons.

I'm not saying you have to spend on paid advertising, but I find it will help grow my GDI business a bit faster.  Also, I find that using a GDI downline builder also helps.  I am not promoting only GDI generic sites, I have a few downlline builders that I have used, but I am currently focussing on 2 at the moment.

Title: Why would I WANT to move my signups?
Post by: Paul Burnette on July 23, 2008, 02:51:58 AM
Everytime I get a signup, it's asking me if I want to move them below another downline member? I tried to read it thoroughly and understand WHY, but I only seem to get "motivate your downline" as the answer....

Can someone quickly explain that for me? Thanks

I can help you with that.  :D

Every time you have a new signup, their status with GDI is trial, and during their 7-day free trial, you as their sponsor, can choose to move any of your new signups to another member to help motivate and build that member's GDI business.  It's like an incentive, but of course you would be credited with the commission, once your new signup becomes active by purchasing the $10 monthly GDI subsciption.

Keep it mind that you can move any of your new signups only during the trial period, and only once.

You can find out more about this when you login to your GDI account.  Go to the left and click " Downline", and then click "Move downline members".

Hope this helps you!  ;) ;D

Moving people under others can act as an incentive, but it can
also make people lazy. So be careful.

Title: Changing my website
Post by: EricaL on August 02, 2008, 09:07:08 AM
When I originally signed up for GDI, it was through the promotion of Spider Web Marketing.  I set up my website based on that and they guided me through the whole process.  But I am also seriously involved in Freebie Trading and would much rather have this website to promote myself in freebie trading.  Can I change my website from what I currently have to what I really want which is freebie trading?  Or do I have to sign up for another site to do that?

Yes you can. There are a lot of sites hosted through GDI that are used for other purposes. A few of my downline members have their sites set up for other businesses or purposes.

Hi Scott,

Your site name is simply the the title of your webpage.
What is the main topic that you want to write about?
For example if you want to post photos and write about your family on the website, you may fill in the site name as "Scott's Family Website"
or "All About Scott's Family"

Hope this helps.

If you need any help marketing your site, please PM me and I can share with you what has worked for me over the years.

Could you tell me how you created splash pages?  I have another website I can direct my traffic from, do you think this will help?

Thanks for your help!

Ken

You can create simple splash page and generate leads on your own.
That's what I do.
I generated 155 leads in 3 weeks using only 2 traffic exchange programs.
Of those 155 leads I got two GDI affiliates.
This works.

I use a traffic exchange downline building program which offers free splash pages that I can use immediately to promote my GDI business.
There are also some splash page creation software that can help you with that, however you would need to use hosting option
and upload the pages onto the server. The benefit is you can customise it to promote any programs you want.
Let me know if you are interested in the software, I can send you a copy.

Ive parked my domain with GDI and use GDI to catch  my sign ups.  Then I just advertise advertise advertise and generate traffic to the site so people come directly to GDI.  Is something wrong with doing this rather than finding my own leads?  Ive had a bit of trouble finding out how to build my own squeeze page and how to get and store my own leads. Whats the jist? What am I not getting or is it as easy as parking your domain and advertising it? Im a newbie and a bit confused as to what you can and cant do. Anybody give us newbies some help. Start posting ads, advertising in forums, post blogs, craiglist post for free, post anywhere you can for free. And try purchasing business cards. You can go to www.vistaprint.com and purchase cards for free with you own design and pay just shipping like $9 or $10 beats paying $40-$50 dollars.

Post by: HeatherEllis on October 10, 2008, 09:16:43 AM
I just started with GDI..in fact, today is my first day off "trial" status.I have been working my butt off for the last week. I have watched my level 1 and level 2 downline grow quickly. I have purchased the DVDs (havent gotten them yet though)
I faxed in my documents, I did my testomonial which included my pic, GDI addy, promotional tip....Is there anything I am leaving out? I just dont want to be surprised or discouraged if I dont get my bonus due to a loop hole. I have contacted 4 members of my up line to ask them if they have ever got a bonus check. Only one person responded and she said she hasnt because her people seem to cancel before the trial is up. I also sent an e-mail to support and asked them to make sure they have got my documents etc...So far, they have yet to respond..please tell me that this is worth it? I am doing so good and dont want to give up on the dream

I am also with the spider web marketing system that has really increased the traffic to my site. Still waiting to get people in my downline though. Every Good Thing takes time. First thing to remember is don't worry about what uplines are doing. Concentrate on your goals and let nobody discourage you. Also try to remember that GDI, I'm sure, has hundreds of request per day to answer to so it might take a little bit. You have all the support right here in the forum that you will ever need. hang in there.

I have been trying to get into live chat all day but noone is ever online....can someone please help me with:

1.  Sitebuilder is not working.  I have been trying to change the text and every time I save it, when I click on my website the change has not taken effect.

2.  When people email me...when do I tell them to go to group interviews?  Are they always at the same time and phone number, as listed in the email that I got for mine?

3.  Do I have to make a website to advertise?  Can I advertise on Craig's List for example, and include my email address...and then send them the email for the group interview?  And if I do it that way, and ask them to use my username as the access code, will I still get credit even if I did not use one of those referral links?  I don't understand your instructions on the referral links.

4.  I have been trying to fill out the various forms you need to fill out, such as IRS forms, etc.  But nothing happens when I click on those links...it freezes my computer

I'm new here.  My week is up in a day or so.  Have had no problems getting leads-I was so excited and thought I could make this work.  what I consider a good number per day 30-40....and no signups....then I read how only 2 out of 155 leads signed up...is that good?  My gosh....i think I'm way off page with the group.   Let's be realistic....can anyone give me some numbers....leads and how many actually sign up.  I know businesses take work but one of the reasons why I decided to sign up was because Zachary said that your free trial would give you time to see if you like the business and i felt like I was led to believe that getting 5 affiliates wouldn't be that bad....well, noone can say that I haven't busted my rear-literally 8 hours a day since I started.  If I got just 2 people, I might feel different...just bummed but Im glad for the people that it's working for.  -Renee

Hi Jennifer,

The method that you are using isn't approved by GDI. I have seen the ads and even used them myself and didn't feel comfortable either. However, if you're going to use the ad approach you have to make sure that your ads are not misleading or sound as if they are being hired for an hourly paying job which many think.

Having said that , GDI the company is a legitimate company and offers a great service and opportunity. I recommend that you take a step back and look at what GDI is and what it offers and learn to appreciate it in that context. See what it can do for you. Take a look and see what it has done and is doing for many. And decide how you want to represent GDI. because ultimately, how you represent GDI is how you represent yourself.

Title: I Don't Know Where to Begin
Post by: Ayash M on November 22, 2008, 07:49:04 AM
Hello everyone,

I am relatively new to GDI and i am excited to begin, the problem is i signed up under someone who is just marketing his help to his downline and charginging hundreds of dollars for what he says is the way to go.

I know i can't change my sponsor since than i would have to wait 14 days until i can rejoin,so now all i want is some guidance and a little help on how to begin.
I don't know which direction to go and at the same time i live in a foreign country (Russia) so i cannot do the DVD thing.

Thanks for any help :)

Title: Need some help
Post by: Matthew Harvey on December 10, 2008, 07:20:23 AM
Hello to everyone. I'm new to the GDI system and am looking forward to seeing how this works out for me. But I'm struggling a little, probably like many others, on advertising and actually getting people to join! I honestly don't know where to start. I've seen a lot of ideas but I want to see some real results and not waste my time advertising hopelessly. I'm also a little confused on the referral system. Does it continue to pay you for your previous referrals if they continue to be with GDI or how does that work, exactly? Sorry about all the questions, I just want to be as successful as possible with GDI.

Thanks again GDI for a great opportunity.

Hi my name is Tom.
I have recently joined up to this new buisness package, and I am keen to learn how to utilize my website etc.
I have not yet used the website builder, But when i whent to tia.ws (my domain) I noticed there is already a website set up...
Do I need to use the building tool? if so, what advantages would i gain out of using this website builder?

If i refer someone to my tia.ws website, and someone joins through there, would i get the commission? I noticed a couple of other refering links that link to a different website other than my own, but i'm assuming if someone was to sign up as a result of visiting my website I would get the commissions...

Also, I tried to open the website builder, and It asked for login details, Do I hafto sign up for something to access the website builder?  :-\

Title: Question: What is the Best Site to Promote?
Post by: OrlandoThompson on December 17, 2008, 09:12:42 AM
Hi Everyone,

I have been with GDI for a while with little results from Traffic Exchanges and email promos.  I am about to dive into another promotion using Search Engine Marketing.  But before I go full steam ahead I would like to hear from those who are having success as to which of the prefered websites are you promoting with success?  I know we have a wide range of different links to promote that seem to target different groups of people some for families, some for women, some for toys ( the very nice car) and others showing movies.  Which one seems to produce the best results?  Any information is greatly appreiciated as I want to get started soon but don't want to spend money in trial and error would rather get some info from you who are actually successful and follow that format.

 ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D
Thanks Again,
Orlando

Please tell me how I can find out what my referral link is, how can I get pre-written/sample ads, access and use GDI splash pages and any other ways I can advertise/promote with no cost?

All tips, suggestions and ideas will be welcomed and greatly appreciated.

Hello All,

You maybe better off getting people to visit the site to watch the online Video. Lets face it people can be very lazy! The best way to get people aboard is to eliminate steps and distractions.

If you hand someone the DVD and get them to watch it. That is a GREAT start but now they have to go online and watch it. Then come the "what ifs".

 - So they watch the video and before they sign on they decide to google GDI and get more information BUT they land on another affiliates landing page. If they are not aware enough to enter your sponsor information then you maybe out of luck.

 - Or like most people as soon as you hit google you find yourself distracted and searching on topics like "water proof socks" HA  ;D

Try using the flyer and edit it with your site and sponsor information. Now they have something to work from.

Just a thought.

Hi,
I have had GDI for several months and still do not have one sign up.
First problem I do not know how to market or how to sell.
I have it listed in a few traffic exchanges, no luck.
I have had people tell me to join forums to talk to business people and to tell people about this wonderful opportunity and how good it is.
Well, there is a problem there. That would be like sticking my foot somewhere.
How can I tell anybody about anything if I do not know how good it is. (no signups)

Do you have any ideas for me or anything that will get me in the right direction?
I could use all the help that I can. Can you help?

Post by: LorenaA on January 16, 2009, 01:10:16 PM
I started this a while ago, but I had some family emergencies and I have not been working on it at all. I think that I have lost my upline, she does not even respond to me anymore. I need to know if I can start over and if so the number I can call. If I can, what am I to do about the number that I need to use for an upline person. Can I get a new one or try this again. If so, do I cancel the domain I have or continue from where I am at? Lots of questions and no answers. I am hoping I can get some from here.

You can create simple splash page and generate leads on your own.
That's what I do.
I generated 155 leads in 3 weeks using only 2 traffic exchange programs.
Of those 155 leads I got two GDI affiliates.
This works.

Hello, GDI Members.  I was looking for where to post your New member postings,
but couldn't locate it.  I've been in it for a few months.  I get all kinds of people to
come to the site, but never have anybody staying.  One question I've been
wondering lately, is;  On the movie that we are able to advertise, is there an
embedded code that we can upload to youtube?  If there is, I can't find it.

Thank you,

Rivers here, Needing help on whether I can offer someone a gift card, even though they have signed up for the seven day free trail and have notified me that they are very interested, but do not have the funds to start  right now. My thinking is that if they are in the system for a month and I send them a downline they will be hooked and stay in for the long haul.

I am able to refer quite a few people, but I can never seal the deal!

The email I get states: IT IS VITAL that you contact this person RIGHT AWAY. Don't waste ANY time at all!

I would like some suggestions from vets how you contact these people, and maybe a sample email you send to these prospects.

I am located in the US, however, I am having great luck with hits in India, so I can't really call them.

Thanks in advance!

Title: New Prospects
Post by: NancyK on February 24, 2009, 06:12:02 AM
Hi Everyone ;D

I am new to GDI, but not Internet Marketing.

Here is where I am a little confused and hope someone can clear it up for me....

I have had several prospects signup and two have contacted me after the initial contact by me.  Can't tell you how happy that made me!  Anyway...if I get an email from GDI saying I have a prospect to contact them right away and I do; does that contact have access to a back office, has he signed up yet, what exactly is their status.   They don't show up in my reports at all, so have they signed up for the 7 day free trial?

And if they haven't signed up for the trail period where do I send them to sign them up?

Not sure how to proceed since this has never happened to me in any other online business I have tried.  It is amazing how fast this product attracts attention.  I love it!

Nancy

I kindly ask, may somebody can explain, is there possibility to change domain name and username. if yes, is there any aditional fee for that. or maybe i should cancel exisiting profile and crate new one? And also i am interested in ways you earn money - is it mainly from domains or also from other activities? How do you promote to people information about domains? And how it works in real life?

Hey Geriks,
You can cancel your account anytime between the first 7 days without costing you any money. Then you can sign up again and pick another name and domain name. To make money, you just have to promote the URL they give you and get people to sign up.

Title: Hey Tina
Post by: Sunny_Lee on March 09, 2009, 09:35:30 AM
First, you do not need to create your own site if you do not want to. Your upline should have a system in place for you. If not, have your website address redirect to your replicated sites given to you by GDI. One of the sites should be http://www.website.ws/(insert your user name here). The only goal here is to make money.
Here is how to do it:
1) Get your affiliate link URLs out to as many people as you can
2) Follow up with leads
3) Teach your downline how to replicate your success

That is it.

Hi Sharon, You should be able to get it back to hosting, login, click on your Registered Domain name, bottom left menu, and the options should come up again, then you can choose Basic Hosting from choices..Hope this works for you.

Title: Trying to appeal to Facebook and MySpace users...
Post by: MardiDupree on May 22, 2009, 07:05:59 AM
Hello Everyone, your help would be tremendously appreciated,
The huge appeal to the Facebook and Myspace, among others is the fact that only “pre-approved guests” can access their pages. If Global Domains International was able to add a similar tool inthe “site builder” option that would give site owners the ability to control who can see the content of their web site pages, it would make owning a WS website much more appealing to the average everyday person. This type of an option would provide the power and versatility of owning your own website with the control, security and ability to share personal information with family and friends. For example… a GDI site owner could make pages 1 -8 available for the entire world to see but reserve pages 9 and 10 for “selected” or “invited” guests only.
That being said, since GDI doesn’t currently offer this type of option can anyone give me any suggestions as to how I might share semi-personal information on my website, with chosen individuals with the current tools that “site builder” offers?
Thank  you very much,
Mardi

Hi Bill,

Did those people who view your video opt-in the form?
If you don't have a form on your website, you should install one with a follow up autoresponder.
After they view the video, most people are still not ready to sign up, so you can provide them with some free stuff or information
using the autoresponder form.
This way they will read your email (about 5-7 emails with useful info) then they will be more convinced to work with you.

Send me a private message or email me if you need help in this.

First don't advertise about the money!!!! Advertise about the OPPORTUNITY!!!! Let the movie sell itself, this way you don't have to do too much talking!!! Just advertise your website.ws/(your domain name) and let people see the movie and let them decide for themselves!!! If they have any questions, they can then contact you because at the bottom of the movie screen there's a "Contact your Sponser" link that they can click on to contact you with questions or comments!!!! So advertise something like "Seven ways to Earn" and link it to your website.ws for them to see the movie presentation and that's should do it!!!!!! I hope this helps you.

Title: HELP!
Post by: IWatanabe on September 07, 2009, 06:16:52 AM
Is this where I'm supposed to ask questions? I received a phone call the other day, and couldn't really hear what the person on the other line was saying. I'm assuming that it was probably my upline contact. I feel terrible that I wasn't able to comunicate with them. I'm totally terrified at all this stuff that I have just signed up to. I don't have a clue. I'm not even sure if I'm supposed to be writting all this here. I know it's just $10.00 a month, but what is it? I hope I'm not scaring people away, but I think it's pretty funny that someone with my little knowledge can get mixed up in all this. Here's another dumb question. What the heck is Clickbank? HA! ;D I've looked and read everything twice, I still can't figure it out. Can anyone help me?

Hey guys just curious to know how you go about marketing the business opportunity.
What I've done so far is signup to the dreamteam-formula site (the free membership part) and I've placed some campaigns on Google Adwords. Out of 200 people that actually clicked on the site I've had 52 signup but 49 of those stopped the signup process when they got to the payment screen. So far only 3 people definitely signed up in a space of 3 weeks. Are these stats decent or is there possibly a better way for me to be doing this?

Cheers  :)

Well let me say first: Welcome to GDI .  Are you still in you're 7 day free trial?  Have you been sending out you're invitation e-mails? Have you been using flyers or drop cards in you're area, letting people know about the business? Have you been directing people to you're automated site? Have you been advertising on Google, yahoo or any other of the search engines? Have you been using twitter, facebook, myspace or any other social media? If the answer was no to any of these then you can see why you have not seen the fruits of you're labor because you have not put forth the effort to make you're business grow, sorry to be so outspoken but GDI is just like any other business that you might own.  It takes a determination and effort to put you're business out there for people to see before you will realize the building of you're down line.  If I can be of assistance feel free to message me. You're website can be what ever you make it to be. It is to be built by you for you.  You can use it to sell products, information, hosting or as a family web site for photos or yes you can use it for games if you can link to gaming sites.  It's you're Domain you build it the way you want. You can use you're replicated site to advertise the domain aspect of you're business (www.website.ws/YOU'RENAME) to build you're down line for you're residual income.  Hope this helps you out: Eddie

Hello there William!!  Yes you can put any of the videos from you're replicated sites on you're web site.
Go to the replicated sites on you're members area
On the left side of the box you will find the videos that are available
Click on the video that you want to see
 Right click on the video.
The menu that you see will have a an item,( View source ) click this
An html file will appear, copy this all of it but it must be from you're members area to have you're link embeded
 Open you're web builder
 Click on the text tab
When the box appears, right click and click the paste from external source
Click ok and place on the page you want you should have the entire replicated site on you're page

I hope this works for you I've done this but I hope it will work for you as well, I try so many things playing with the web builder it's hard to remember but it gives you an idea of how to do it.  Eddie

First, a response to Donald.  There are many ways to market for absolutely free.  In fact, many of the free methods will work better in the long run than paid methods.  So, here are a few that you might be able to use.  Social media sites such as Facebook.  Now, first understand that these are not places to advertise.  You can include links to what you are doing, but if that is all you use them for expect your results to be dismal indeed.  These are places to network with people.  Build relationships.  Through those relationships you can then let people know what you are doing.  And building relationships is a way to keep your business going.  If you have 100 sign ups and only one person stays as opposed to only 10 sign ups but all 10 staying, which would you prefer?  The 10, naturally.

You could also use forum marketing.  Again, not a place to advertise.  Forums are a place to build relationships and provide value for the community.  As you become known and as people begin to rely on you for advice and knowledge they will click on the links in your signature.  Your signature is the only place to advertise in most forums, unless they include a Free Advertising section for you to use.

H. Ellis, in the post above yours, spoke about article writing.  Again, a great method to drive traffic to your sites and produce sign ups.  There are tons and tons of free methods for you to use, these are just a few.

Now a quick disclaimer:  These methods, and virtually all marketing methods out there DO work.  However, if you use them wrong then you will not get many results.  There are two tricks to being successful with whatever marketing method you choose.  Number one and most importantly is to take daily action.  If articles are your method, then make sure to write at least 3 articles a week every week and get that content out there.  Place the article on many article sites, put it on your blog, bookmark it in social bookmarking sites and let people know on your Facebook page or Twitter account that you wrote an article and link to it.  A little action is no good.  You want MASSIVE action.  Number two and very important is to get some marketing training.  This can be in the forum of books at your bookstore, e-books, videos, meeting people who know how to make money and talking with them and doing what they say.  Be sure, be sure, be sure to get yourself some marketing training.  To stick with the article example, there are many things about writing articles people are unaware.  How to properly link, how to write resource boxes, how your title makes a HUGE difference in the response you get.  There are many article marketing training tutorials and books out there.  Find them and devour them.  Watch other article writers and see what they are doing.  Make it a point to learn how to do what it is you are doing.  And then do it every day.

Hope this all made sense.

And H. Ellis, like I said above virtually all marketing methods do work.  It's all in how you use them and if you use them daily.  Let's stick with article writing.  Be sure to write tons of articles and get them distributed.  An article is like an island, alone with few visitors.  You need to build bridges to those articles all across the internet.  (By the way, if you want article marketing training I can point you to a video that will blow your mind, just PM me.)

My only advice is to take daily consistent action and then to get training on those methods.  It sounds like you work hard, and that is definitely important.  But just as important is working smart.  Invest in some training materials, learn from the masters, make adjustments to what you do and then take action, massive action.  Doing a lot in one method completely outweighs doing a little in dozens of methods.

Hope this helps!  :)

Hi Anthony.  There are a few things to keep in mind when promoting GDI (or any business).  It doesn't matter how you promote, you need to take daily action.  What that means is, you need to write at least one ad every day and post it on multiple classified ad sites.  I'm sure you have noticed that there are hundreds, even thousands of people posting on classified ad sites about the very same kind of thing you are.  So, if you want a response to your ads you need to post at least one every day on multiple sites.  You will likely see little results for the first few weeks and even months of doing this.  But keep at it.  What you are doing is building a presence and making it more likely that when someone does a search they will come across your ad and not somebody else.

Also, be aware that building a business takes time.  You have to be patient and not think in terms of days or weeks.  Think in terms of months and years.  Every "overnight" success you think you see is backed by years of experience and failure.  The reason they finally became that "overnight" success is they never gave up and they took daily consistent action.  That's not just in internet marketing.  That's in every single profession and area of life.  Athletes work hard every day, play for next to nothing on unknown teams, fail over and over again, miss shots constantly until finally, one day, they make that game winning shot.  And then they start to move up.  An online business is not a quick fix, or a way to instantly make money.  It takes a lot of work, and a lot of time.

With that said, you can't just rely on daily consistent action.  This is perhaps one of the greatest secrets of internet marketers, but it is not the only secret.  The next secret is to constantly learn, grow and train (just like athletes).  So, you are asking about what ads you should write.  Instead of delving into copywriting I'm going to suggest you go out and get yourself two books.  There are many great books on the subject, these are just two that I think will really help you out.  "Hypnotic Writing: How to Seduce and Persuade Customers with Only Your Words" and "Advertising Headlines That Make You Rich: Create Winning Ads, Web Pages, Sales Letters and More".

These will show you how to write great copy, whether that be for your website, your ads or even your emails.  Copywriting is a skill that hands down all marketers must learn.

This wasn't what you were asking for, but it will help.  Do not give up, place those ads every day, send out your invitations every day and learn the whole time.

Here's to your success, Anthony!  :)

Hi Tyler.  I'm not 100% sure of what you are asking here.  If what you are looking for is the link to send people to so you get credit you can send them to https://www.website.ws/kvmlm2/dispatch.dhtml?sponsor=YOURGDIUSERNAME

Just be sure to replace "YOURGDIUSERNAME" with your GDI username.  :)

Hope this helps and if not, write a new post and we'll help any way that we can.

I recently bought into a lead co-op the leads are funneled through a website that will show my GDI website, but I don't know what to do after.

I have been tweaking, deleting, and searching around the net for information. No matter what I do It leads me to the same conclusion.. All my sites are just getting the lead to watch the movie twice and sign up again.

This is the first big promotion that I have been involved in, but I think that I have gone over my head any help or advice?

What should my site do to keep the lead? I have an AR, but I can't just put up a page with just that.

Heeeelp  ???

Title: Question re: .ws
Post by: KMyers on March 19, 2010, 06:38:52 AM
This is my second post regarding this but for some reason the first post didn't go through. I am wondering why the .ws websites do not show up in the search bars? I need to be able to answer this question for potential sign-ups. Thanks.

This is my second post regarding this but for some reason the first post didn't go through. I am wondering why the .ws websites do not show up in the search bars? I need to be able to answer this question for potential sign-ups. Thanks.

.ws websites do appear in the search bar via the various search engines out there (Google, Yahoo, etc).  The .ws extensiion is no different than any others.

To validate my response, I entered my .ws webiste in the Google search bar and it appeared in the #1 position out of 61,000,000+ websites.

In order for any website, regardless of the extension, it must be crawled by the search engine spiders and bots before it is listed in the search engine.

Let me know if I answered your question completely and to your satisfaction.

Title: How can you be successful when you don't have any contact with the outside world
Post by: Julia Ramirez on April 05, 2010, 02:57:58 AM
How can you be successful, when you have not contact with the outside world?? I homeschool, and we live way out in the country, and I really don't have any contact with anyone. My kids and I are all we have. How do I find leads that I don't have to pay an arm and a leg for?? Is there a training class for people like me? Where do I even start? I just need some advice to where I will need to start. Please anyone who would give me some advice please feel FREE to do so. I have to make this work because I have two teenagers now and it is time to buy cars and send them to college. We also just bought a new house. Thank you so much for all your advice and help in advance!

Hi Julia,
Your computer is your contact with the outside world. You can reach more people worldwide via the internet than you could possible meet in person.
Personally I find Internet Marketing far more successful than direct marketing.
My formula in being successful with any Internet business including GDI is:

Great Product [GDI] + website [GDI hosting] + hoards of targeted Traffic coming to your website = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I have been making a full time income online for years. Everything I have learned is outlined in easy to follow step by step free tutorials on my sites.

Getting interested people to look at your offers is easy when you know how - so avail yourself of my free information 24/7.

Nothing will happen if you do not take action. Be prepared to put time and effort into your own business. It takes dedicated effective WORK to build your business.

Your work will be handsomely rewarded if you do not waste time on useless methods advertised by every would be if they could be Guru out there.

Cheers,

Kitty.

I'm having a little difficulty in understanding your problem.
If you believe you are getting notifications that you have signed up people
but do not see them in your downline - I think you should email support
from within your members area.

Cheers,

Kitty.

Title: GDI Email Retrieval System
Post by: MatthewWimmer on May 05, 2010, 04:05:49 PM
Hey Everyone,

I just started GDI yesterday and I used the email retrieval system to grab all of my gmail contacts.  It worked great and was so easy.  What I want to know is when I add more contacts and use the retrieval system again will it only send out invites to my new contacts or will it send them out to both old and new?  It would be a bummer if people started getting the same email over and over when I just want it to go to my new people.

Much thanks,

Matt

Title: Team Invitations
Post by: AdriaanS on May 10, 2010, 08:31:09 AM
 ???
I have seen several Invitations on the TE's like HighHits and others for people to join their GDI teams.
Can a member like myself join another team, is it recomended or not?
Do I belong to a team, and if so, why are they invisible?
What can I do to get my team's splash pages on some of the Traffic Exchanges???
I am a member for three months now and  was unable to refer anybody.
I need help and I like the team idea but I am not aware of any team that I am supposed to be a part of.

Hi Adriaan.  The pages and teams you are referring to are not sponsored by GDI.  These programs are hosted by individuals.

My advice would be first to contact your upline and see if they belong to a team.  If so, they can tell you more about it.  If not, your next choice would be to contact the owner of the page when you see it again.  Several teams come to mind, so I won't mention any names.  But, they all should have contact information on them.  Write them an email or give them a call.  I'm sure they will be willing to help.

Good luck!  :)

Hi Dylan,

Sorry to hear you haven't received a reply yet.  Hopefully soon they will see your email and write you back.

I'll send you a PM but here is some advice everyone can use.

First off, spend some time here on the forum.  There is some GREAT advice from so many people.  I've made lots of friends here and learned quite a bit myself.

Also, be sure to attend the GDI webinars.  The first part of the webinar is intended to help teach people about GDI.  But the second part is where it gets really exciting for us.  Because in the second part is where you get to hear from the top marketers in GDI.  They give tips, advice, little secrets...it's just full of value.  PLUS, you will have the chance to ask questions and get answers right away.  If you really want to succeed in GDI follow the people that already do succeed.  That's why the GDI webinars are so important.  (Besides, they are always fun too.)

There are PLENTY of "free" ways to promote GDI.  I put quotes around free because nothing is truly free.  It either takes time, or it takes money.  And really, they are the same thing.  Because, it doesn't matter how new or old you are to marketing, YOUR time is very valuable.

Anyway, yes, there are a lot of marketing methods and techniques that require no money.  I'm not going to list them here.  BUT, the biggest piece of advice I think I can give is to not try and sell GDI.  Rather, offer GDI as a solution.

For instance, let's say that you are going to target small businesses.  If you just write an ad saying Global Domains International, Inc. offers this and this and you can sign up for only $10 you MIGHT get some hits.  But most people will just throw the ad away or go to another ad.

Instead, talk about THEIR problems and how GDI is a SOLUTION to those problems.  For instance...

Do You Need More Traffic To Your Business?

Do You Understand That Through The Internet You Can Increase Your Customer Base Substantially, But Don't Have The Time Or Money To Make It Happen?

What If I Told You That You Could Spend Less On Your Website PER MONTH Than You Do On Gas For A DAY?

And What If You Could Have Your Website Up And Running Today With No Knowledge Of HTML, Coding or Any Of That Other Fancy Stuff?

Hundreds Of People Need What You Have To Offer, Let's Get You In Front Of Them Today!

Contact Me At XXX-XXX-XXXX For More Information
Or Visit [YOURGDIWEBSITE] And Get Started TODAY!

That's just off the top of my head but do you see what I'm getting at?  People are calling it Attraction Marketing these days but what that really means is ATTRACTING people to YOU because YOU have what THEY need.

I hope this makes sense and gets some ideas flowing for you.  I'll write you a PM with some specifics but what it really boils down to is this:  You absolutely can and will make money with GDI if you get the training and then take action.  That's really all there is to it.

To YOUR Success,

Vincent Parker

Title: Re: how do i add a "register here" button
Post by: P_Gringel on June 05, 2010, 07:35:30 AM
So i have made my website and its missing one thing, a little button that takes them to the Register Page (a register page that i get credit for them signing up)

any help?
Hello Tyler if you go the members page you will find ready made websites which have the signing up new memebers built into them and as you will have your ID imbedded in them you will be assured of getting the credit for the sign up. On a personal website you can embedd banners that also will assure you get the credit for sign ups these can also be accessed from the members page on the left P.

I sympathise , just keep at it and work hard and things will work out  I don't quite understand what you mean  but if GDI mailed a contact to you I expect it is because they expect you to follow it up and sell the business to them then if they sign up they will appear in your downline .Good luck.
