Great Topic!
Oddly enough I am in the process of identifying what I would consider to
be key essentials to look for when looking for a
legitimate Home Based Business or Income Generating Opportunity.

What to look for
This is what to look for when your searching for a Great Home Business Opportunity.

The 1 800 Number
A 1 800 number that is professionally recorded
If the company cannot afford a professional to record the 1 800 number then chances are
there are other things they cant afford.
The 1 800 number should clearly identify who the company is what they do and why its
potentially a good business opportunity in a limited time span with little or no hype.

The Web Page Should.
Clearly I identify who the founders of the company are.
What their history in the Business is and any claims to success they have to date
should be clearly identifiable.
You need to know what the product is, understand it, not on a molecular level, but understand it.
and be able to have access to it for free for a limited time span if possible.
The product should be competitively priced useful and reliable.
The product needs to have little  limitations on its market place.
For example, if its a product that's gender specific then half of your market
place is gone.If its an expensive product then a good portion of its market place is gone.
If the product is limited  to your general locale , unless its a rental or consumable type
of product, then the market place will become saturated
very quickly and your potential income source is short lived.

The  company should have a reasonable compensation plan, if seems
excessive its going to indicate that  the market places is limited
and or that the product is simply difficult to market.

Hello Chip,

I found out about GDI at work. I was reading through emails and found a link in one of the emails from my former employer's website designer. I went to my fiance about it and here we are now. I am excited about GDI and I am looking forward to our success with it.

GDI is simple and straightforward. The product is awesome. Its actually something that people CAN and WILL USE and at times, NEED.

More importantly, I love that GDI and affiliates are there to help when you need it. If you cant get it from a few people (your upline, for instance) you can get the support from everyone else. :D

I joined GDI because the product made sense. I have been in networking for about 12 years and have seen alot of things but I immediately saw that GDI was different. It wasn't based on a consumable product that people wouldn't want or use. Getting my domain name was great because I wanted my name instead of what I had. You can't beat the price but most of all I saw this as an opportunity that people could afford on a monthly basis. I mean, ten people in your group and your membership is paid for.
I'm very excited about the future of GDI and I'm glad I GOT IT.
Thanks

I think GDI has something going for them. And I believe it's the fact that many of us who've joined see all of the potential that GDI is offering to us. The fact is, is that *selling* domain names is in our world's future. Our world is becoming more and more technology based & this is only the beginning. Domains are universal to everyone, if you have you're own business, you can set your website up to sell your product (whatever it might be). If you don't have a business, you can use your website for your own personal use, like staying in touch with family members, updating it with pictures, use it as a blog, whatever you wish. It's a universal way to keep in contact with family, friends, or even customers.
Not only that, but, for me personally, I didn't feel like I was *buying* into the program. I completely feel as if my $10 every month is for my domain package...to keep it up and running. The affiliate program is just an added perk for me!
So...there you have it....that's my reasoning for GDI.
Besides....we have the best forum on the internet & the BEST people!
What more could you ask for?  ;)

Hello,

After watching the Red Ferrari Movie for the first time; I was very excited! The presentation was designed nicely and attracted my attention right away. I loved the fact that the characters in the movie referred to me by my name. Overall, I was extremely impressed.

For $10 a month, I was able to build a team and work from home. What other company on the net is going to give you all that GDI gives you for only $10 a month? On top of this, throwing out big bonuses each week to their affiliates for doing a job well done.

I knew this was an opportunity that was going to explode and I didn't want to miss out on it. And here I am!  ;D

Market Place Presence

Thats what I was looking for.  I have invested a lot of money in a MLM that sells a wonderful, useful, consumable, product that everyone needs.  I needed to get my company in front of the vast computer literate market base.  What better way than with GDI?  The...

Business Opportunity

...is a great added bonus.

Why? Yes, very good question. I don’t know exactly. I’ve got one mail among all the spasm I’m getting every day all the time, but what has got my attention was the title of it – Tatjanap.com is yours, right? The truth is that I’ve just purchased my .com domain two or three days before I’ve got this mail and I was wondering what has this to do with my website. I’ve opened. No aggressive invitation to red Ferrari movie, only a brief wondering if I may be interested in this, a few words more, and the link to presentation. Very clever – I have to say. I’ve closed this mail and settled myself to work – I was in the office doing my regular job. But one sentence didn’t give me to leave this message aside and that was: I'm doing well with this and I'm very curious to know if other website owners find the concept as interesting as I have. The author of this text will recognize this, no doubt. I overlooked the words like MONEY, INCOM etc. It was pure curiosity to lead me to view this flash presentation. And in 10 minutes I’ve decided saying to myself “Well, Tatjana, an extra storage on the web never hurts.” I didn’t mean to earn something at all and I thought about this not earlier then two or three days after I’ve signed up. In app 10 or 15 minutes I’ve signed up and even did something on my webpage though I had no particular idea what should I really do with it anyway.

And now I know why: for my family, to have better life and future, for my pleasure dealing with people from all over the world, for the children all over the world – to help them even more then I can at the moment, for meeting you – NICE AND WARMHEARTED PEOPLE HERE BY GDI AND TO HELP YOU WHEN I CAN!!!

THAT’S WHY!

Well, maybe it will occur strange to you as you didn’t hear word SUCCESS here. If I’ll achieve all mentioned above – THAT WILL BE MY BIGGEST SUCCESS OF MY LIFE!

Tatjana

I am inexperienced at network marketing and other programmes that  have looked at always seemed to involve selling of vitamins, cosmetics, kitchen equipment, etc as well as committing to ever larger personal use and monthly autoship. I like the simplicity and I am not as leery of offering this a it is so inexpensive as well as being cutting edge. It is early days for me yet and I only have a downline of 2, but I am keeping in contact with them. I log onto this forum and my .ws moms Team forum every day and See so much Useful information, I am very inspired.

Chip,

I Joined when my good friend John Long, contacted me said Howie you need to check out this 10.00 month business.

Since known John prior to this checked out Wow to my surprise this business was simple it took a little money and some creativity to market.

I shifted all my focus to GDI and have dedicated my time towards the business and developing leaders in my local area and also globally.

Provide the much needed information and where to get training and they provide me the time and effort to be successful with GDI.

The support system GDI has with this forum and the WS.internet show and different team training calls and what keeps me going.

I will be successful in this business no matter where I am in the world.

God Bless each and everyone of you who Treat GDI like business and not hobby!

I was looking for a business I could work from the comfort of my own home. But, I didn't want to have to purchase a lot of tapes or books to learn how to conduct my business. I also didn't want to back myself into the corner with inventory. To tell the truth I didn't think there was any business out there that would come close to meeting my desires and needs. I was wrong!! Praise God!! I am happy to admit it.

When I took the time to actually pay attention to an invitation I received from a .ws GDI member I was blown away.  I was impressed with the movie presentation but when I tried out their calculator to see the long range financial possibility I was sold. One thing I have always known is it takes time to build any business. For only $10.00 per month I knew I could afford the time. There wasn't really that much to learn either and I found all the support I could ever need.

I consider my .ws GDI  business opportunity a blessing from God and I am proud to spread the word!! My main goal is to make enough money to set up more shelters for the homeless and to provide more soup kitchens to feed the hungry.
I would also love the ability to help the orphans along the way!

All my best,
Norma :o

I do not know if I am on the right forum for this but I do have an issue which is bugging me.

It is all that extra babble that comes up when on the link to the movie as well as all the testimonoials , it is so offputting  and distracts from the target.

I like  the original movie where the contact is simply taken on the ride right into the movie.Testimonials are  great in the right place and that  in my opinion is on the website  before the movie  viz. our websites .

I do not think I would have signed up if it had not been for the original movie I certainly wouldn't have for the babble one. It is just irritating

.Also a business forum is no place for politics what are we doing alientating  possible  sign ups from George Bush's party on purpose?  :-\ politics come and go but business goes on forever  ;)
Anyway is it possible  for me to request  my oriignal movie presentation.I have noticed  others still have it I want it back   please? ::)

::) Ok...I looked for a company that actually has something to  give the customer for thier cost. The first was a Internet Service Provider...it didn't work (They only had one dial-up per state!) arrrgh.

Then finally I came across GDI. Domain site for 10 a month is great. I can sell that and feel like I gave a customer something physical they can see. Or get others interested in making money themselves  and getting them on thier feet. I know risidual income is what I am after.

I have actually done electrical work at a guys house who did the .com phase. (He was home everyday and made more in a month than I did in a year) And happy. Go figure?   Thats my goal...... less stress.ws      I will make it happen  ;D

I had gotten an email from someone with the movie and the movie was captivating so I kept the email but didnt sign up. I had been ripped off and/or burned with 3 other online "deals" so was sceptical but I'd look at that interesting movie every now and then. I think I had watched it about 7 - 8 times maybe and I then went on a quest to find out all I could about GDI. I found one negative comment from an anti MLM forum. This after searching some 500 forums and information sites with GDI info on them. All but that one place had raves about GDI. So after the quest for info-I signed up. I wanted something that was wanted, needed and sellable and not a huge investment at the start up of it. I had lost a bundle on the bad online deals I'd been in prior to this-so it had to be low cost now. This looked to be just the thing and had a good reputation and a ton of happy members I read about during the quest for the bad stuff. I have been with GDI now since May 16th. and am still convinced it is just what they say, "The Wave of The Future." I plan to do this the best that I can and am trying to learn HOW to do it. I don't want to waste time or money making mistakes if I don't have too. I am riding the "wave" now. I plan to bring in as many as I can to ride the "wave" with me.  :D

Hello,

I recall receiving and invite from someone early last fall.  I do not remember who or where it came from and I just blew if off!  I did not see the potential at all.  Have you ever heard of  Think Out Side The Box?  That was not me at the time, not for this opportunity.  I did not think outside the box.  My thought process at the time was:  WHY WOULD I WANT TO SELL DOMAIN NAMES?  The market is saturated.  Boy was I wrong!

Well, May 2005 came around and I received an invite from a friend asking to me watch the "MOVIE" once again.  I looked at it, and just like the first time, I pushed it off to the side, but only for a couple of hours.  I went back once again and watch it again and it BLEW me away.  I finally got it!  I saw the potential and wondered why I did not see it the first time.  It's history from that point on!  GDI is it!  It's all just a matter of time and timing in one's life!

It just goes to show that a person might not get it the first, second or even the third time around.  Keep planting the seeds.  Eventually it will sprout, just as it did with me!  What you sew, you shall also reap!

Success is yours,

Frank

hi everyone, I am blushing ! I posted my little bleep definitely on the wrong forum. My apologies.( that's me always in a hurry). :-\

The truth. When I found GDI. I wasn't  looking for anything in particular just fascinated and surfing around   newly introduced to the world wide web as something to do while convalescing after an accident (that injured my neck.)
I was  fascinated  in some pain and it offered a diversion. That movie made me laugh with delight it was so clever I had never seen anything like it. I wondered if I could learn to do it. ::) I had predicted  for a long time that cartoon characters would be the actors of the future .
(Felt so validated after I saw Shrek). I digress.
I signed straight away.It was followed up by a phonecall from a VERY charming man who laughed when Iasked him if he had created it?( Naive)  :P. Then someone on the web contacted me for another thing I had agreed to look at ,I had my doubts about that one and so I told him about GDI. and he has run with it.He is amazing.
My head is buzzing with plans for when  I am fit again and this is such a great place to find out what is going on.
thank you all so much.Definitely follow up phone calls help clinch it.  >:( I am just wonder if being a charming man is an unfair  advantage?LOL. :P

My story is very much like that of our own Tim Sebert - except I really DID walk away from marketing. After being successful for several years I was so burned out. I had owned a Downline Club and Safelist, and managed an MLM from the top. The owner of the MLM I was managing decided to close it down. I went back to waiting tables for the next 4 years.

Last October my friend Deb (now my business partner) sent me an email about an opp she had joined. I ignored it. She emailed me again a few days later just asking me to look and give her my honest opinion. I went to her overview page and read every word. I looked at the product, company info, and the FAQ. Then I watched THE MOVIE. I was completely blown away.....I watched it again. Wow. I had never seen anything like this before! I joined immediately!

I was with another network marketing company who shut the doors in my face after I've been paying a large monthly fee. I was
going crazy wondering what I'm going to do now. I wasted all my money on that company just to get the door slammed in my face.
Then, I went to google.com to search for another legitimit opportunity. All of a sudden, I came across a GDI banner ad and clicked
on it. I was like...hmmm, what is this about? So I read the info from the site, entered some personal info into the green ticket and
watched the movie. I was blown away by the fact that the characters actually said my name with no problem. From then on, I decided
that this is the company I want to be a part of! Great products, an amazing, easy to understand compensation plan, a super low
monthly fee, a state of the art back office, no selling..... who could ask for anything more!? :D

Why GDI?

As a full-time Internet Marketing Coach, I preach "Build Your Own Web Site" to all new marketers.

Unfortunately, most web site hosting is rather complicated and takes technical expertise that
newbies just don't have. And registering a domain, etc., is even confusing for most.

GDI/.WS makes it easy for people to get their domain name, it's ready to go, it's set up for them
to go straight to their GDI web site until they are ready to do something else with it. Their email
accounts are automatically set-up and forwarding to their current email address, and so on.

Yes, you can find web hosting for less than $10 a month, but most were designed for technical
people, and let me tell you, 90% of my team members are pretty new to their computers.

Thank you GDI/.WS for creating an easy-to-use and easy-to-recommend web hosting business
that average people can use.

You're saving me tons of time in training!

I can just send people here.

Nice work.

Gayanna

I do the same thing. And my website is an introduction of me and some of my personal info and my hobby. The rest is how to market, etc with links and stuff. Each page will have different areas of marketing the site or the business. Even a page for the links to any other affiliate programs I or they might be in. And when I get the first notice someone has looked at my movie I always at the bottom of the follow up email do a PS, and this is the site I built and I am totally html illiterate. So if I can build a site-you can too. And i say, laughing is allowed, and it's not finished yet.  :) I think the fact that anyone can build a site is very important to marketing this business.

Well, I don't want a "Red Ferrari" I grew up in New York and I hate driving.  I did a study tour of the Front Line States in Southern Africa in 1977...I learned much, I had a sense of a community, with people helping people. As we traveled from place to I came face to face with more examples....

What sold me was the sense of community I found here, in what is really a "World Forum."  People here are happy to share ideas and encourage one another. That is unique in a world where the message is often TAKE CARE OF #1!  How about another business card with a picture of our world from space?  Maybe flowers or mountains... Yes I think there is money to be made, I finally sent off my first invites.

It is clear that It will take time I expect one person at a time.  I like the product, I like the community, I can sell it, and $ is only a part of the sell

Why I joined:

  - I understood the product being offered (I am president of a web hosting company)
  - The price to join the program was not outrageously expensive
  - The money-making side of things makes sense and does not ring like a Ponzi scheme
  - I've been "lurking" and researching GDI since about February and was finally confident that it would work for me! :)

Why did I join GDI?
Well, before signing up I thought, anyone who is online will need/want a website now or sometime, so this should be
easy to promote.
Secondly, the package for the price is generous I think.
If a person doesn't want to or can't seem to build a business with GDI what's wrong with just being a faithful customer?
Custumers are important too....

Hi everyone.  I am a full time web promoter.  I have 10+ websites and was always on the lookout for other things to promote.  (Other quality affiliate programs.) Most require that you pay for a site, pay for hosting, a large fee, etc...Also, for what it's worth, I researched over 70 different programs before finding this one.  And, when I watched the film it immediately made sense. I saw a great deal of potential. My best friend, who is also a web promoter looked at it and became an affiliate within about 5 minutes.  People either get it or they don't. I have had some people tell me they don't understand the opportunity, so that tells me it's probably not for them. For the people who do "get it" having things as automated as possible is the way to go.  For me, it provides for a stress free workday.  My workday consists of adding to my keywords, placing ads, and putting my business cards out there.  And, I wouldn't have it any other way. You CAN make money at home if you are creative and make a little effort each day.

Today while prospecting someone asked me how much for the service, I told him $10.00 a months.  He said that he could get the same service elsewhere for less.  I told him that we don't just sell the service, this also comes with the business opportunity where you can get paid for life.  Does anyone have a better answer to that question?

Hello Michael,

GDI doesn't just offer a domain name, but instead, a complete and incredible Website package. Where else on the net can you find a company that will give you a presence on the Web, a sitebuilder to design your presence, a hosting account to host your presence, e-mail accounts and the opportunity to earn a residual income by sharing it with others? But one second, I'm not quite done yet. ;D $10,000 in bonuses each week to members?! And, a wonderful forum where all members can communicate, discuss ideas and strategies and overall support one another.

Enough said!

Good job Nicole!!! I have personally looked into a lot of different hosting companies before I got involved with GDI. and you are right, there are cheaper ones out there. But, i can tell you from personal experience, that nothing comes close to GDI, because of the reasons Nicole stated........... AND MORE!!!

This is what you can tell your prospects, if they don't understand this, then they are the ones missing out!!!

Exactly! The reason for GDI isn't just to offer domain hosting for people....but to offer them a way to profit from them. Sure, you can be involved in many different affilate programs where you post a banner and they will offer you part of a sale, but that's not *residual* income. That's what's so great about GDI....the opportunity to make a real, residual income! That's what it's all about.  ;D

Hi Michael,

I have had my own domain for over 8 years now (Yes, I currently own 2 .com's).
The first one I paid $30 a year for just the name, then an additional $20 or so per
month for hosting. None of the domains I have ever purchased have come with
a Website Builder - ONLY GDI. That is how I learned html, because I HAD to! I also
needed to know how to use an FTP client.

Both of my .com domains require that I build my site in another manner, then use FTP.
Neither of them allows me to earn a residual income like GDI. Average people like us
do not know these methods.

Let your prospects know GDI actually gives you MANY websites - one to build and use
in any way you choose, and others to use for business promotion. Look at all the members
of GDI who are having fun building their first websites, while sharing the same with others
and making a few bucks by doing so. Talk about Win-Win!

BTW - my 2 .com's both have a page for GDI on them ;)

In Success,
Stephanie

Stephanie, yes, I'm completely with you there!!  The salvation of sitebuilder for people like me:  I don't have the time or patience to learn CSS and FTP.  Basic HTML was enough to drive me off a bridge (and I don't even know how to drive).  ;D

For prospects who aren't interested in the opportunity, my argument is what Stephanie says.

This is why so many people will pay people hundreds or thousands of dollars to build a site FOR THEM.  Convince those people that they can do their own and save the money, and you've made a sale.  Believe me, I'm doing it!

*Add in the cost you're going to pay for your FTP software.

*The time it's going to cost you to learn to build the site yourself (or cost to have someone do it for you).

*Add the cost of hosting, in most cases.  (Even "free hosting" is usually bombarded with ads, which to me, makes it "annoying and unprofessional", not "free".)

*ten email accounts (many only come with one -- mine does)

The only argument I've had against me so far has been the "genericness" of sitebuilder.... and now that THAT HAS IMPROVED, I'm out of objections.

I saw an ad from Yahoo some time ago. About the same price and the services barely beat those from GDI.

And without the income opportunity...

Some people might say 100 MB is little nowadays, but who needs 10GB of hosting (I'm speaking of cheap bulk hosting services...

It's like the cell phone companies selling you so many extra minutes that you can't use...

How about 25 hours a day plan? Ha!

I have large image galleries on my space, and 100 MB is plenty!

And I do webdesign's professionally - a private site over 40 MB is already a bit too big...

[I'm commenting on the space, because at first I thought, that's way too little.]

Oh, and another thing - the hosting servers seem top of the line:

Ultra Fast Dual 3.6 GHz CPU Pentium 4 Servers
   Fully managed 24/7 site monitoring
   1 GIGAbit, multi-homed tier-1 carriers

Third - most lastname domain names are already taken... .WS might be a last chance and it definately beats all other extensions (.com, .net, etc).

Actually the .WS is the biggest plus on the whole thing. Web Site...

my 2 cents...

Title: Re: Why .WS/GDI?- As a tribute to a loved one!
Post by: StevenBlake on August 28, 2005, 10:15:52 PM
My wife had been looking into building a website as a tribute to her mother who has Alzheimers.  She currently has a free web site with another company but it has a name that has too many characters in it.

GDI has given us the opportunity to start building this website and have an easy name to refer people to.

Thanks GDI for giving us the opportunity to help bring all those who need to come together to be able to get the help they need about Alzheimers in one place. Many who write now say they feel so alone on this journey and this website will give us the opportunity to bring people together to share how to help the Alzheimer patients and the families.

In giving to others via the other website that has a long name, we can now direct the traffice and they will be exposed to the opportunity that GDI offers for them to start  working from home (GDI opportunity) now so that when the time comes they need to stay home or more money to help their loved ones it will be there for them.

Another way people can help bring traffic to their website is by giving or doing something for others using your gifts such as creating a website where people can get help or learn Spanish or another language, archery, gardening, cooking, guitar lessons, wood working, computer skills, mommy skills, etc.. ... whatever your skill is, it can be shared on the website you build and when you get into the chat sites ...refer them to your website where they can learn more about that particular skill or hobby.   It is then they can see your opportunity and you can ask them if they want a website like yours to just contact you or click on the link...

Hope this helps others.  I am going to be sharing the Alzheimers and Spanish website with others and direct the traffic to my site ...very affordable way of indirectly advertising while helping others.

GDI, thanks for this awesome opportunity to help others. My mother in law was always a person to help others and this is one more way for her to continue to do so by helping whoever reads this message  come up with an idea on how to give to others using your skills and indirectly advertise your .ws opportunity by placing your .ws opportunity link on it.

Also you may want to give the "gift" of a .ws website to a loved one for Christmas, their birthday, graduation,to a new business instead of a plant or flowers, etc.

Hi new member here
good question the why? interesting to hear others reasons. I too have looked and tried other things. This is the first that I felt enough people could be interested in. I needed a web domain and the business side is a bonus, although I hope with some marketing I will get a team below me too.

;D I looked for opportunities all over the net, and GDI was the only opportunity that has all the tools to operate flawlessly.
The ball is in the member's hands and it's up to the member to create a positive growth.  I really like the support from upline and the movie presentation.

Well, I've been trying to work from home for about 10 years, and I've tried everything!  Well, I have to be a failure - so I am determined to keep trying until I am just outrageously wealthy!! Anyway, the things I like best about GDI - you get all the info online (i.e. no phone calls unless I want to - and thanks to Tim? in his training call for telling me NOT to call! what a relief!!) Low montlhy fee, and you get a decent doomain name with your business not a "www.homebusinesswhatever/cgi-longlong list of words and stuff that noone can remember" website! And so far, I'm not doing too bad - I got 1 signup during my trial period, and am hoping to get a least one a week.

I have always wanted a successful business I could run from home. Since high school I have known this is what I wanted to do with my life. I have talked myself our of many differant opportunities for various reasons. I was impressed with the movie presentation and the fact that GDI doesn't require large start-up fee's with no promise of success. The product being offered makes sense, although I am still learning how to effectively market it. I see an awsome opportunity here and look forward to the road to success which lies ahead.

From the paypal letters and on up, I started out in network marketing probably like the rest of you - looking for the pot of gold that was going to set it all straight.  I haven't lost as much money as some while searching but that's only because I was lucky enough to come upon the GDI opportunity just prior to its being a year old.  I instantly wanted to join GDI because not only had I wanted a webesite of my own for sometime, but also - I knew that OTHER people probably felt the same way that I did and the cost was just NOT TO BE BEAT!!!
GDI is offering everything they do at the price of 2 or 3 Meal Deals at your favorite fast food joint but offering a WHOLE lot more back in return.  The opportunity to leverage your time and efforts and get paid what you're really worth!  What WE'RE really worth!
That's why I joined GDI and will stick it out for the long haul.

My brother-in-law told me about GDI.  At first I was pretty skeptical, and I have to be honest, I thought the cartoon with the red car was a bit hokey, but I researched and liked what I found.  I am now working on marketing methods that will get my downline growing.  The other day I got my first downline member from outside the US!

hey there me I'm new to this but I joined because of a couple of things:
1. the obvious earning potential, and it is already proving, I have had this for 4 days now and already one person on my downline list so I know it can work.
2. I am the proud owner of my own record label and I needed a domain but my last one wanted $10.00 just to reserve the name and another $39.95 to publish anything, not cost effective by any means. that's what caught my eye about GDI not only the price but actually it can be paying me to have it. very cost effective  ;D

My reason for joining Gdi again... After attempts at creating a down line proved unsuccessful. I came back because of a domain and web site for 10 bucks a month you can,t say fairer than that can you. It is pretty good value for money but we will see how it goes. Any way you guys take it easy and enjoy making money as I am.

Hi Judy Gould here in Canada (actually about 1/2 mile from Detroit, on the border)

I was doing some surfing for pennies on an ads site. I usually wait to see if I've already "clicked" on the business before I ignore it and let the 20 seconds run out before I can click for the next 2 cents.
On Boxing Day, at work, bored out of my tree (because I work in a store downtown and the sales were all at the malls), I was running through my clicks, and came across the GDI ad, with a link to the movie. I watched the whole thing, waiting for the "catch". There wasn't one.
I've sold MLM soap for years with limited success, my kids have sold Amway/Quixstar as well,...so I've been through the MLM mill and know that, when I saw the movie, then, I registered BECAUSE , across the bottom of the ad it read "You can talk to me anytime", and I wanted to see if I really COULD talk to somebody.
So I DID call this guy in my upline. What a surprise!! What a nice guy! And, he's really trying to help me get somewhere!! This is fabulous!! And it gives one more inspiration to get up and do whatever it takes to reach that target!
I don't understand a quarter of the stuff I'm wading through here, IT-wise,...but I'm not going to give this one up! And I know if I really don't "get it" somebody will help anyway. What an organization!!

I'm so happy!!

Judy Gould

Hello Harald,

Global Domains International is a solid INC. 500 company that has been successful for over 7 years.

The cost to enter is ZERO and your montly fee each month is only $10 compared to other companies who charge $500+ or $200 in auto-ship orders every single month. Who CAN'T afford $10 each month? Look at what you're getting for this low monthly fee:

 - Your own .ws domain
 - Your own hosting account
 - 10 e-mail addresses to go with your .ws domain
 - Sitebuilder (some Sitebuilders on the Web cost $20 per month or more!)
 - Several URL's to promote the GDI opportunity and product to others
 - Full company support

We have members in over 180 countries around the world! This is truly a global opportunity that knocks down any other business on the Web. You can make a residual income month after month with GDI by simply referring others to your Website. It's as simple as that!

I joined because I like playing on the internet. My website was the first I created and I change it daily.

I think the price of $10 is great. It leaves other money to spend on advertising. After all, if you can't afford $10 then you can't afford to be in business for yourself..

Hi fellow GDI members,
Why did I join? Simple, I have been in Network Marketing for over 2 years now.My exsisting business is doing ok, but I'm still loosing money, due to the high costs of recruiting. Also, I'm sick of talking to negative people on the phone, and I know, that internet business is what most people are wanting these days.No sales, no calls no problems. Also I really am impressed by the whole costeffective system and the fact that we have a website with our own domain for $10/month
;) I have only been a member for 18hours and have already 2 downlines consiting of 1* first level and 1* second level! Not bad for sending out 18 invitations so far.
I am excited about my future success with GDI and meeting many fellow aussies on this panel.
Thank you GDI for goving me hope again :-*

Good topic Chip!

Like so many people, I've been hoping and looking for a home-based way to earn enough of an income to free me from having to trade my time for dollars anymore.  I didn't know just how to go about finding that right company on the internet that would offer a realistic opportunity to do that, other than getting into the search engines and looking at all the "home-based opportunities" out there.  I just kept searching for something that would click, that would resonate within as something solid and worth trying.  My gut feeling was that it had to be real, and not just another "be a millionaire in a month!" ad that turns most people off.  And it also had to be fun, easy and affordable for most people to get into.

Then I saw the short, one line ad that my sponsor had placed on a search engine and it just resonated.  That led me to GDI's website and the presentation/movie and I was hooked.  And I can honestly say that, unlike other network marketing businesses I've been involved with, my affiliation with GDI already has given me that "we really have something here and I want to stay with this one!" feeling.  My sponsor is a super lady, and so are my team-mates.  We all share the same enthusiasm and focus in making our GDI experience work for us.

I have to also say that during my 7-day trial it was the immediate support I got from my sponsor as well as the other members input through the members site and this forum, with all the training, tips and comments, and issues discussed, and the fact that it's an open and active forum for all of us, that led me to stay on as an active member of GDI.  That added to my confidence that this was the right choice that I'd been looking for.  Best regards to all of you....

Like a lot of us here, I thought, "well, a website + tools + 10 email addies and a commission plan at the SAME PRICE as Yahoo can't be half bad"

Plus I dont want an inventory

Plus I want something that is cheap (cost-wise)

But, I still wonder if what we have is still too complex for a lot of folks out there...?

when you read.If you truly want something you must work for it. People tend to put honor
in something they have worked for, rather than something giving to them.I am proud to be
working with some of the best, and the time put forth to help others get what they want.

Hi Associates,

I am from VA Beach.  However, often I think of this area as not being my dream place to finally reside.  Florida is in my plans as a last move.  At any rate, I am preparing for the financial freedom that I so much desire.  So GDI is one of my tickets to the freedom highway.

I joined GDI because it is a lucrative and rewarding opportunity that operates with integrity and pays its members.  The product and service are very nice for the price.  In fact, becoming a member of GDI is a required part of my on-line Personal Communication Center when people upgrade there current telephone communication to VOIP.  I enjoy establishing my own real-time leads from using my PCC; it is really easy too do.  If you would like to know how I am turning cold market into warm prospects for my GDI opportunity and am growing my down-line; then you are invited to send me a private message and ask me how.  Please, do not reply with business offers.  This is an introduction of me,  and I only want to share with you how I am building my GDI down-line and you can do the same.

Much success to us all!

The reason I jointed GDI is to replace what I had with iSPViP.  Only this time I want the company to last much longer.  I like GDI because the compensation plan is simple.  When it gets complicated you can't sell it to.  And when you can't sell it you can make money.  Simple multi level marketing works.  I like everything GDI has.  But, with all my experience and years in marketing I am not yet successful and I need help.

This is a long post and I apologize for it.  The reason it is long is because I've worked on the Internet for years and have not yet been able to keep a steady income.  I first started with iSPViP and I was able to build an organization of 70 members.  That gave me a monthly income of 70 dollars.  Then iSPViP went under and I lost about two years of work.  Now I want to rebuild.  I want to rebuild with the company that will last and be around for a long time.  It took me two years to find three people on the Internet using safe lists and traffic exchanges.  It was too slow I need to build faster than that.  I'm getting old.  This is what I need to know.  I need to know what marketing techniques will build this business the fastest and I need to know the statistics.  In other words if it is faster to make telephone contacts than I need to know how many phone calls will get you one person to sign up.  Then I need to know how many people you have to have in order to get enough active people to build a business.  I need to know the cost and I need to know what the income should be for a certain amount of contacts.  I have done a search on the forum I cannot find this information I contacted my upline and this is what happened.  From 3 I got no reply from one the e-mail bounced and one of my upline actually answered me.  And she wanted me to join other programs.  She said she was only making 200 dollars a month from GDI.  She said she was happy with that because it was only a ten dollar investment and it gave her 200 dollar return.

The following is what I wrote to my down line.

I hope you can indulge me a bit. I really do appreciate your help. I am willing to work and do what it takes. Here is what happened to me. I worked 2 years with safelists and traffic exchanges and recruited 3 people online and 2 offline. That brought me a downline of 70 people and a monthly income of 70 bucks. The product was an internet service. The company changed the payout structure and the downline structure and I lost all 2 years of work. Than I found eprofitteam and put a few hundred bucks into the pay per page auto exchanges and lost it. Now I am asking you how to make money but I am not sure you are making money other than the 200 bucks per month you say you are making on Global Domains. The only way I have of finding out if you are for real and you can help me is to build a relationship with you through email. I know I need help and want help. I just have not spent enough time looking for the person who can help me. You are the only one out of my five upline in Global Domains who have answered me so far. And you did it quickly. I appreciate that. I know that you need people who will work. I will be in a position to commit to that once I know I can make back more money than I spend. So far the best I have done was with iSPViP and they are now gone. As with everyone I cannot spend a large amount of money getting going especially if I know that money will not bring me a quick return. I don't care about a quick large return. Just getting to breaking even quickly is the important thing. I saw the 1.7 million plan and the bottom of the page says if you are US go the other route because it is faster. I loved the feeling of having a downline so I know this is how I want to do it. My time now is more limited than when I worked 2 years to find 3 people online. And I need a lot more than 70 bucks a month. It would have grown if the company hadn't gone under. Can you teach me how to maximize my efforts so it does not take 2 years to get an income of 70 bucks a month but rather build that in a matter of a couple of months and move from there. I need help but you can understand my needing reassurance. I want to be a part of something that is working. Thanks for reading this and if I am being too much trouble let me know. I do feel though that I can be an asset with the proper tutelage.
End of Quote

The  following is the answer I received from her and then after I received this answer I heard nothing more.

I just got your message, and am running out the door to meet with one of my business partners. I didn't want you to think I was ignoring you, but I do not work weekends, so Mondays are kind of busy catching up on emails. I'll definitely reply with an answer to all your questions later today, though.

What more can I say, it works!

Hi Jim ,

Marketing GDI is easy because GDI has given us many referal links to use and there are a number of different downline builders or GDI feeder's.. I would look for one that is free for now as you don't want to stress yourself out by spending money.

you'll need to get more than 400 hits a week to your link.. i'm thinking to try for atleast 1000 -1,500
a week. Just make sure its actual traffic don';t pay for these send 1000000 zillion hits to your website
cause it don't work. you need real visitor's.. I don't want to gointo promotional ideas because this thread
isn't for that..

but just stay patient , persistent and focused and you will succeed

I joined after searching for part time jobs for myself and my husband. I am a full time student and mother to a 5 yr and 7 1/2 month old. Including all of those things I was also working part time making descent money to help my husband with the bills. Well my part time job cut my hours and I was barely working at all. We were seriously behind on bills such as rent, car, etc... So that was my reason for searching for jobs. I ended up on craigslist part time job area and happened to come across an add. I clicked on the link and watched the entire video. That was unusual for me to do because I am very skeptical when it comes to home businesses. I have tried a few and been burned. So they left a bad taste in my mouth if you know what I mean. The video was so interesting and professional looking that I could not stop watching it until it was over. After the video I e-mailed the person who posted it for more information. I even called him thenext day after spendign the entire day researching the company. I decided to sign up and this is actually my third day now. I already have 1 sign up.  ;D  So that is my story. I hoep this goes well for me. I am looking forward to what my future holds.

I got into GDI because I was looking for a domain name to showcase a business page.  I believe the domain name is important to the search engine optimization process as it is the first thing a human or seach engine sees that relates to your business.

Once I bought one GDI domain, I thought of a couple of more I needed.  If I need a few, there are other people who do as well.  Having an internet business opportunity handed me as a free gift along with the product I purchased seemed a good thing to me.  If I have this need, others will as well.  If I see the opportunity, others will as well.

It's a big internet world out there, and there are a lot of people with either the need to get the domain name they want, the need to grasp the freedom ring via the GDI opportunity, and some who need both.

Why GDI???

For me its just one of those easy affordable MLM systems.  It will eventually go the same way as most MLM's of this type, expansion up to the point where sigunps fade and people at the front end drop out. This will cause a reverse cascade effect until the whole GDI platform collapses.   How many people followed the PWS program and where is it now? I'd wager not where it was promised as the creators of PWS suddenly started a new one a few months back.........

So just why will GDI survive longer than most?   Because at $10 per month there cant be anyone out there who cant afford it. Also with such slow growth it will be a long time before the momentum fizzles out.  There cannot be a long term solution for anything that relies upon referrals alone, but with GDI it WILL last longer than most as you do get a useable product for your 10 bucks..

That is why I am here for the long haul.

Hi everyone,

I have been with GDI since February of this year.  I started this business with hopes that it would lead to a profitable future.  I have a few people in my downline right now which is exciting.  Things are slow but then again it takes time to build any business.  When I first started, I didn't know anything about network marketing, how to build a website, html, etc.  I still have much to learn.  However, I am not going to give up even if it takes me a number of years to obtain my goal.  Success never comes to those that give up.

I am a nurse and work in all departments of the hospital.  I also travel to the north in order to provide relief when they are short handed.  Actually, I will be leaving tomorrow for 10 days to do such a service.  I love my job and especially love helping people.  However, I do not see myself in the nursing field till my retirement even though it is very rewarding.  I believe I will achieve success with GDI and I hope to help others along my way whether they are in my downline or not.  Building viable relationships with people is far more important than any financial outcome.  In doing so, I will have satisfaction from my efforts and the rewards will speak for themself.  I wish for everyone to have the success they have sought out to achieve.

Just remember that integrity of character is important.  Don't forget where you came from, although that doesn't mean to dwell on it.  Being humble does not mean you are weak.  A positive attitude can bring you success.  Be true to yourself and don't step on others along your route to success.  Team work builds bigger bridges.

I was just looking for a home based business and thought for the sake of $10 US ($12.60NZ) what have we got to loose. My husband was writing a few web pages for different people in business as a part time job at night because computers are his hobby,so I though he could help me on that aspect. We have been in for 7 days and got our first sign up. That's quite exciting and they are excited too.  They are close friends and we really didn't think they would join us but who knows because when we saw the presentation we didn't sleep well that night. The added advantage is we already have a network business but this is different than anything we have seen before. I think GDI has been constructed in a very cleaver way and we are loving it. We will love it more when we have a 1000 downline or more as the sky is the limit. The video does the selling and all we have to do is put the plan in front of people and that animation presentation is great.  ;D

Hi everyone,
I joined GDI because I actually see the plan. A lot of these so called home businesses don't make sense. I mean either they don't have a legitimate product or they don't have a workable system. With GDI, we don't have that problem. We can actually talk to anyone outside of the internet world and make sales and get new affiliates. Thank you, GDI!  ;D

I have been promoting my GDI through two marketing teams online and this has been helping me build my downline steadily. I am watching my GDI business build infront of my face and I am loving it. I hope everyone can achieve alot of success with GDI and feel free to ask me questions about GDI or the ways I promote GDI all over the internet. Cheers to everybody's success with GDI.

Hi all,

To succeed, ones should do some homeworks in order to attract others to sign up. You should remember that this is a referral business. You should introduce your business to others in order to get sign up. That are lots of strategies for you to tell people about your business. You need not to be a good sales person or speaker. The important thing is your business is exist, there is a real person behind your business (please do not hide your identity) although you are worried because you are not succeeded yet. You should remember that those succeeded people are same like you when they first joined this or other businesses.

So, keep on doing your homeworks...

Best regards and to our success.

I have been studying home based business on the Internet for about 9 months. I still have a a long way to go to become a pro but I have learned a few things along the way. The product seems right and the timing seems right. The demand for domain names will increase dramatically in the near future. The company is well established and a member of BBB. I like the obvious concern for ethics. The presentation is straight forward with none of the typical rags to riches, majic bullet, over night millionaire hype. The cost is incredibly reasonable and the support is great. The compensation plan is smple and sensible. It's easy to get into and explore without having to put big bucks in up front before you find out how and if it really works. This is a nuget among the fools gold.

The main theme of my business is Awaerness and Growth, Emotionally,Spiritually, and Financially.  In that order.  You can check me out at "www.integrallink.net"  I don't have all my downloads available yet, as I am still in the process of rebanding, and translating some from WSS to PDF, but things are moving for me.  Again, thank-you.

of having another revenue stream. Also, the idea of leveraging your time  and  helping enough other people get what they desire
you will help yourself. You can work yourself out of your job.

Hello everyone. My name is Juanita Brown and I just started with GDI about ten minutes ago. I'm very excited to see what kind of progress I'll make. Ten dollars a month is just perfect huh? I've seen so many other work from home businesses that want hundreds of dollars up front. Hopefully being with this company will set me free from the daily stressors. Well, I don't want to babble, but it's very nice to see that I'm in a company with such motivated individuals. Good luck to all and be blessed.

I joined almost 4 years ago under someone I had previously done business with.  We both had our own work at home mom resource sites providing legitimate opportunities for women.  At the time, selling candles, jewelry, cosmetics, lotion, potions and pills was the popular businesses for women.  What was so different about GDI was that it only cost $10 a month, there were no home parties, no hotel meetings, no inventory, no selling and no autoships and it was strictly an Internet business.  We knew this would appeal to women so we decided to use our .ws sites to promote GDI as a business for women.  We were right and it took off.  3 ½ years later people are still very attracted to GDI because of its low cost and earning potential.  Customer service is also very important when deciding which company to go with.  GDI has paid me every commission check on time and I’ve never had bad service.  I have joined numerous opportunities in the past 3 years but GDI outlived them all.  If I am still with them, they must be doing something right!  ;)

I am still a bit dubious about the whole thing but also hopeful.  After researching some 500 forums and information sites with GDI info on them. All but a few places place had raves about GDI. So after the quest for info-I signed up. " I plan to do this the best that I can and am trying to learn HOW to do it. I don't want to waste time or money making mistakes if I don't have too. I also hope to bring my own busines out to other people. ( I make/create mineral make up and try to get my online shop up and running)

Why, are you kiddn me, I believe in the Law of Attraction and I was looking for something simple and inexpensive to start, this is it. It's true, if you can't do this then you can't do a home bussiness. I wish I heard of you earlier, which means I'll have to make up some time... if anybody out there can give a new guy some REAL good advice on how to kick this in the butt please contact me. God Bless GDI!! 8)

I was looking for something that worked, but did not cost a 100 dollars or more per month.

I have been out of a job for 6 months; the first time since I was 15 years old, and dont have alot of money to invest on internet marketing.

GDI seems like a place I  can build up my marketing from scratch, with a low budget to begin with.

First, because it's the best buisness for the times. Where else can you find a legit , international, 10 year old business, without having to peddle Magic Juice or soap, where you can make an unlimited income from anywhere in the world while in your underwear, all for $10/month???

Now, if I could just make some darn money with this. And keep my people from dropping out...

PEACE

My Name Is Ronald And The Reason My Wife And I Join GDI, Because It's A No Brainer.  Let's Just Think For Sec. What Are Some People Going Through These Days.  We Would Put About $60 Aside Every Check For Our 401k Plan, However I Would Lose About 4-5 Times That Amount If Not More Most Of The Time.  Now, With GDI You Start For FREE And
There Is NO RISK!  And Remember Unlike The 401k, With GDI You Can Make Unlimited Profits, Because It Is Not Based On How Much Money You Invest.

I've Been There And Done All That, lol :)  Since I Was 14 Years Of Age I've Been Around Networking Most Of My Youth.  Because I've Seen How Well, Networking Works.  However, I Have Never Seen Anyone Last Nor Have I Seen Companies Grow Because Of There Lack Of Business Structure, Strategies, And Simplification.

Once Again, With GDI It's Has Shocked Me On How Simple This Business Really Is... And How Easy Anyone With Very Little Computer Or Internet knowledge Can Really, Make A Huge Amount Of Money Just For Recommending Others That You Already Know, GDI's Services, And Business Opportunity.  That Is Awesome!

I am involved with other programs other than GDI but i must say GDI is a program that is the one program i saw where you can actually make a nice income for life on just refering five and then help your five to refer their five and so on. If you teach that concept to you downline it cannot get any easier than that. Only good reveiws you will hear about this program.

Title: I have returned from the past.

Hello everyone here in GDI land,

I am Ed Savage, :D and I live in the, now cold state of Indiana, smack dab between Indy and Ft. Wayne just off I-69. Now that you know about where I live, I will tell you a little about myself. Very little. I am a 58 year old man, a retired truck driver. Now, that makes me an average person just like the rest of you. No special favors or anything like that, just stand up when I enter the room.
Seriously folks, I have been doing what I thought was internet marketing for a couple of years now, and many times through the past couple years I have been ready to pull my hair out. I was involved with GDI a couple of years ago rather briefly and now I am back with 2 years of successes and failures under my belt. Believe it or not, they say that's how we learn. Anyway, I am back here at GDI with that two years of sweat equity behind me. Ready now to hit the high road in my life, And GDI will be my vehicle.
Don't get me wrong, I am not an expert on anything, but if any of you new people to the net need any help, or advice I will be happy to do what I can to help. If I don't have the answer I am sure we can find it somewhere.

Your Friend In The GDI Business,   Ed Savage

Hello all;

I am Terrianne Thomas, I joined CDI to launch another income stream for me and I felt that this would be the best place to start because all companies from Mom and Pops to Mid-size will need this service and it would be an excellent place for me to eventually host my Professional Bookkeeping service because of its low cost.

It is just so much information to process, and I just need to know where to begin to get started so that I can begin my financial independence journey.

 :D  Best wishes to all

Hey Frank,

No, you do not have to build a website to promote GDI.  You can use the tools that GDI has in place.

However, in time, you may want to learn how to create your personal website.  That will give the visitors to your website an opportunity to get to know you.  Your personal website does not have to be about GDI or even a business.  It could be about a hobby of yours or even a family website.  Simply be creative.  All websites begin with a BLANK page and eventually, over time, it will become your masterpiece.

I wish you much success...

Hi Everybody,

I joined 2 days ago and I just want to say how impressed I am with the support I have received. Four members of the team have emailed me to offer me their assistance including 3 from my upline. I am very new to all of this so the support has been much appreciated.

I don't have very many email contacts, but, I have been using my facebook and twitter accounts to spread the word. I am discussing this opportunity with 6 different people at the moment so hopefully I'll have some sign ups soon! I have written what I call a cold start message to send my new facebook friends, (accepting a lot more of them than I used too!!!) it doesn't actively sell, but it introduces myself and has my .WS link at the bottom as well as my phone number and skype name. Also, I have posted the 7 minute video on my page for my other friends to see as well as introducing myself in marketing groups. Fingers crossed and any other ideas are of course welcomed!

I also found Free and Powerful which is free for GDI members and the commissions are great, I also got 50$ just for signing up with them and didn't have to shell out any more money than what I'm already paying for my GDI membership!. I suggest you all check it out! http://www.emmathomas.ws

Wishing you all a productive week.

Kind regards,

Emma  ;)

My main Reason for Joining GDI was simply because I was tired of 9-5 grind that I've put myself through for a long time with minimal results.  My grandmother nearly broke her back work 2 job just make sure that I had place to live, Her hard work and dedication is very inspirational to me but I wish she had put more faith in technology.  I not a believer that a person should work there entire life to only live for minimal result.  I believe it to be a fulse teaching that everybody believe but never works, The sole purpose of this country and how it was founded was based on an idea and a principal.  The united stated in general has lost so many of it key principal that a person is not just a labor worker by any mean.  Now we are in a recession where million of people are just finding it difficult to maintain there daily work life.  GDI gives you an option to not just settle for a paying job but to plant your seeds in the new future of internet and online business.  if your not apart of this big internet boom shame on you.

Promote GDI based on their core products naming domain and hosting services. If you will go out and say "if you get 5 and they get 5 people we will make lotsa money" That doesnt work. You need to provide value for other people, if there is a great product there is a great potencial.

I joined GDI in Feb 2006 because I needed some domain names for some Internet businesses I wanted to promote.  Just like the GDI promotional material says, all the good .com's and .net's were gone, but I was about to find exactly what I wanted in a .ws from GDi.  It wasn't until Nov 2006 that I even thought about promoting GDI myself, but I did, and have been receiving monthly commission checks for several years now.

Hello everyone,

I found Global Domains International on the DSA (Direct Selling Assocation) website. I was doing research on direct selling to see if was for me as I was looking to boost my income as I only work part time and finding a 2nd job proved difficult. Well, after I read about it, I found that I liked the idea of owning my own business and being able to work my own hours and set my own paycheck. It's been a dream of mine to own my own business. Well then I did research on what kind of business I should start and was able to search for DSA Member companies by my interests. I was appalled to find that some companies charged $100-$200 for a Starter Kit.
Then once you had the Starter Kit, you would need to hassle your friends, families and relatives to do parties or to buy things. Plus most of the businesses were geared for women, selling make up and cosmetic items. Global Domains appeared on the list, and I visited their home site and clicked on the Affiliates section, watched the 7 minute animated presentation and was drawn in. The fact that it's FREE to start and then only $10/month! That's much better than $100-$200 for a Kit! The product is amazing and the market untapped. A Domain Package for business or personal used. A guaranteed Internet Presence For Life! Amazing! The income potential, UNBELIEVABLE! I am excited to be a part of this business! My goal is to make $500/month to start! Wish me luck!

Preston

I looked into the company and saw that they were #37 growing company in Inc. Mag. also they have company support.

Ive completed as much of the pre-requisit's that were listed in the instruction information, the links that were included with Stan's email was pretty much self-explanitory.
