Hello to all GDI members.

I am new to GDI Forum and I am also deaf. I'm under second leg up to Chip Snyder.
I am going to keep my story till I reach the top of my success of GDI.

I have not build my own Site Builder and may need help how to organized for my GDI Infinity (www.GDIinfinity.ws).
Since I have never build a website before. It will takes a while to complete it.

Its amazing and how exciting to be with GDI! Among the deaf people are going to even more excited to own a domain
and get paid by GDI for life.

I would like all members to share some thoughts, like the movies that GDI made 7 minutes animation with the Open Captions which is great!
I would like GDI add to the Open Captions to real video of the cool red car and two people talking about GDI. Any comment about this?

The GDI flyer  http://website.ws/home/flyer are also great tools. How does deaf feels about those flyer? This flyer is the cheapest way to start out localize. I pass it out a few to start. None has response yet. I have been told by Steve Adams (retire in 2 years) making 1000 flyer out will get 7 to 10 sign up and he never met those people. That amazing! He also told me using new flyer not from GDI.

I thought the flyer was design to meet people face to face and ask for their email address for follow up. This also help bring stronger team together as they grow larger afterward. 

I am not trying to "re-invent the wheels" here. Where deaf people and myself could be needing some better ways of improvements
to meet new prospects.

Other than meeting prospects if you are in a hurry to be aggressive like Steve Adams or others in the Potential Leaderboard does
could be another options.

The Leads like BulkMailer, etc. is also another options but does it help the deaf?

I am hoping from the Potential Leaderboard see this Topic, name of Art Kovach, Laurel Anderson, Tim Sebert, Steve Adams, etc. to share us
"How they get so many New Accounts sign up?"
There no secret to hide. Since all GDI deaf members want to know and be excited to help each others build momentum.

with everyone. Just hang in there.

I see them on the leaderboards all the time. Don't know how they get all those signups
but whatever they're doing, it's working. I don't believe that it's the leads though.

Just focus on your own opportunity and don't give up.

[I like the idea of close caption on the 7 minute GDI movie.  I have run into some people who have lost the sound on thier computers, but have the ability to see the movie.  Close caption would have really helped to close the deal, if they just knew what was being presented to them. 
I have a deaf friend that I communicate with  on the phone relay system and  also  her computer. She loves typing  on the computer better than any other form of communication, but also asked why GDI did not have  closed captions on the GDI Movie.   A cool thought for GDI.  Sincerely, Karen

Hi Karen,

The 7 minute GDI movie is closed captioned. Look at the bottom of the movie window as the movie is being played,
and you'll notice that everything that is being said can also be read. GDI has already taken that into consideration.

Please remember that when using any movies on internet or does not
have devise will only work on OPEN CAPTIONSnot Closed Captions.

The Closed Captions that has a special devise build-in C.C. inside of TV
will work on such programs like relay who types texts. 
Open Captions they make their own text was already made.

Hi to all.  I had not seen this thread before.  I am very happy to see that GDI has a deaf community growing!  I am hearing, but my oldest daughter (aged 11) is deaf.  I am therefore lucky enough to experience some of the best of both worlds.  :) :)

Inspired by learning ten years ago that my daughter is deaf, I became eager to sign and then to meet other deaf people.  Within two years, I became certified to interpret, and I now do so mostly within the legal field and also within my community. 

I always find myself smiling when people say "Just Show The Movie!" because I joined without hearing the movie, just by following a link.  Our computer has no sound. 

I would love to see GDI get written transcripts of calls, as well.

I'm new to GDI, and I'm very glad to see that GDI is trying to help deaf folks to build their own business. I'm hearing, and have a lot of deaf friends. I know some sign language, and also Cued Speech. I interpreted for a time at a church that I used to attend, and I was a Cued Speech Transliterator for two years at a local school. I'm also the moderator for the Cued Speech forum.
I enjoy signing, and cueing, although I do need to practice quite a bit more than I do.
I have worked in other business's where there were some modifications made to help the deaf within the company, but none so much as what GDI has done from what I have seen. I look forward to seeing what else will be done to help with the communication needs, not just of deaf folks, but other languages as well.

I am another deaf GDI member and I would like to see the growing number of the deaf people to join the GDI in which it is a program where everyone can afford to own a website.

I am also open to any ideas of how we can support of each other through the memberships as well as to reach other deaf and hearing people.

I'm new to GDI, infact i'm still in my trial period.  I've always had an interest of signing and working with people that have handicaps of any kind- i'm one of the people that seems to take note of businesses that are not wheel chair accessible, difficult for the blind, etc. 
And so, after realizing that there is a huge amount of deaf people with GDI, I was wondering if there is any way for you to get the information from some of the radio shows and phone line trainings available with various teams?

Hi, I'm deaf and new to this and I have no idea to exactly what I'm suppose to do or what to do next, as I was told by this "credit card processor" to set up an account with GDI before I can start my work.  And so far, I'm wondering if its a scam for money or what. ???

I'm sure you either pay by credit card or paypal if it says so to set up account.

You can contact your upline enroller that you signed up with and asked him.

I promote my website anywhere that I can find on safelists, auto/manual surfing.

i am Deaf from Sydney! Australia . i just join GDI 3 weeks ago and ive sent almost 100 deaf people from NSW and Qld .. there no Deaf people ever join this GDI so far .. almost half of them told me they didnt get invited on email .. it must be something worng with invited not though .. ive tried sent invited though my hotmail and home email but wont though!   i still have no one under me .. but i wont give up my dream!   can any deaf people help me with invited etc and ive put Traffic website and sent thosands but still one under me ..i really looking forward to get one downline or more!!!

I just joined a member of GDI since 7 days but I havent get the people enrolled me yet. :( Otherwise, I will keep trying to get them enrolling soon. I wonder how can I get them into my business show? I will not giving it up.. I am interesting in it. It seems so easy but I just wonder how do I do that? Can anyone help me out or what?  Let me know.

I have a prospect that is hearing impaired requesting a DVD that is closed captioned?  Is this possible to get......I have looked thru many areas here and maybe I missed it---but have not seen if I can order a DVD that will be benifical for her.

I'm not exactly deaf but I have a disability in my speech. I have a stuttering problem that can be so severe that I practically can't get a word out. So, yeah, people may not refer to me as deaf, but I myself sometimes consider myself deaf, because I can hardly make communication. Nice to meet you.

My name is Sarah Mathews and I am a Newbie.   :)  I am hard-of-hearing.  I am so glad there are some deaf members of GDI.  I would love to see open captions on the DVD so I can pass them out to other hard-of-hearing and deaf people.   ;)

What do you use instead of the DVD for people who have seen the short video with open captions?

 8)  WOW it's great to "hear" there are Deaf and Hard of Hearing plus others who are members with GDI. I think this is great asking others for help getting their business going. Yes the start is not going to be easy just be patient learn everything you can. There was someone who mentioned using the VP to communicate which I believe would be very helpful to others who need help getting started.
