I will be advertising in college news papers within a few weeks. How was your response? What did you write in your classified ad?  My classified ad will say:   ATTENTION COLLEGE STUDENTS!! FREE $250,000 Dollar Video Presentation Reveals How You Can Make Extra Money For Your College Tuition! I will run it in a few weeks and share with everyone on the results!!   Thomas Voye

A BIG HELLO TO ALL!!    :)
JUST WANTING TO ASK, IF I WAS TO  PLACE A PRIVATE AD IN MY LOCAL PAPER, WOULD THAT BE OK? I WOULD BE WILLING TO PAY FOR THE AD MYSELF, & IT WOULD ENCOURAGE MORE PEOPLE TO CLICK & VIEW MY SITE. JUST THOUGHT I SHOULD ASK FIRST. I THINK ITS A GREAT WAY TO GET MORE PEOPLE TO JOIN.

How about, " ATTENTION COLLEGE STUDENTS!!  FREE!!! 7 minute Video Presentation Reveals How You Can Make Extra Money For Your College Tuition! "    ??    I just don't think they would care how much it cost GDI to make the video, as long as it can show them how to make money. Also, at first, I didn't see "FREE", because the "$250,000" stood out more to me. So, maybe some people might think it'll cost them $250,000 to get the movie. Just a suggestion, what do you think?  :)

A newspaper ad is fine, however, be aware of the fact that repetition is the key to newspaper ads. The ad will probably have to be run a number of times before people start to react to it. Good luck to you.

Good point,

I  agree since to have used newspaper ads with some good responses.

The key is repetion and the followup.

take care

Hi Sandra, I like the way you revised my classified ad. The only reason I put  that the video presentation cost was $250,000 was to build the curiosity and may be some one who like to see what this was all about. But! I do like the way you put 7-minute video . I thank you for your response . Thanks Thomas

Title: Autoresponders - what to write? and Classified Ads
Post by: Aizan S on November 04, 2005, 12:38:07 PM
Hi Guys
Am a newbie (just joined an hour ago).  Frow what I understand, GDI does not provide an autoresponder for any prospects that checked out our website and watched the video promo.  While we can get autoresponder services for free, for the life of me, I have no idea whatsoever what to write to the prospects.  I read that the average prospect needs exposure around 7 times in order for him/her to realize what a great product/opportunity is actually on offer. Are there any templates for promotional emails that I can use?

Also, I am planning to place ads in classifieds for my new biz.  But, in order to place an ad under 'Business Opportunities', I am required to show 'proof of legitimate business.'  Where can I get this from?  Is there any certificate of membership or anything that can be used to 'show proof' that I can download?

Appreciate any help I can get.  Cheers  :)

Kinda got off topic here I think but any way there are great follow up emails and even some classified ads on www.gdi-made-easy.ws
I know I am not supposed to post a link and I been told before but this is a link i found in the forum so maybe this one will get through. I use a network of papers in the US and have had some luck with one of the ads off of gdimadeeasy. I also know of a decent free autoresponder if there isnt on at gdimadeeasy for you to use PM me if you need the website for either.

Have fun

Jim

Title: Where to advertise, and how to do it?
Post by: Stephen T on January 17, 2006, 04:59:02 AM
I've been a member of GDI for a couple of weeks now, and am trying to get leads aside from word-of-mouth, so I was reading the forums and stumbled across the flyer at  http://website.ws/home/flyer which I made about a hundred copies off with my information on it, and went around a parking lot at a shopping mall near where I live and stuck them under windshield wipers on cars.

I haven't received a response yet, though it hasn't even been an entire day yet, but I can't help but think that maybe I'm focusing on the wrong crowd, and approaching this all the wrong way.  Do you all think it'd better to approach people, face to face, and throw a sales pitch at them when perhaps they'd rather not hear it, or is it best to leave a pamphlet or flyer somewhere that they will run across it?

In my head, I doubt many people even read the things that are left on their windshields, let alone pursue what may be on it, however I'm desperately trying to rack up some leads here.

Any help is much appreciated!

Stephen

Hey Stephen generating your own leads is something that is easily done! Too many times people are sellers and not sorters. There are many online and offline methods for getting referrals! For example you interact with people everyday in the city or town you live in.  Take notice of people! Look at how they interact with those around them! You can start to pick out the leaders just by staying attentive.  Once you've identified someone you might like to approach just casually start building a relationship with them. Ask them about their job, interests, family, hobbies.  People will take an interest in those who take an interest in them. Its really that simple! Many talented people are starved for attention. Just start giving them some and you'll be amazed at what happens!

Being 20 years old and in college, the crowd that I'm around most often is rather difficult to sell on something like this.  I try to point out to them that all they need to make some nice, effortless money is to recruit 3 people, then those people recruit 3 people, and so on, and it's a win-win situation, but everyone is so much of a skeptic these days.  *Shrug*

i trully understand what you are going through right now stephen, i am 19 yrs old and a student, same as you my crowd is not that interested in this kind of business. i have no idea how to make them listen to me and keep them interested when i am explaining the business. sometimes i feel like my crowd is too small that i need to find another market. well all i am saying is this is harder than i thought...  ;)

Title: Opt in leads - Solution to your advertising problems?
Post by: Guy M on March 08, 2006, 10:19:03 AM
Hi,

I saw from a previous post that most people are looking for opt in leads. Here are a few things that I have observed:

1] Buying Opt in Leads - Are they any good?
This can be a hit and miss affair, because I suspect that some of suppliers strip out the best leads for themselves. Then they sell it on to the next level who do the same and so on, until you get the leads that no one else wants. I say that I suspect that this happens - more accurately, this is what I have been told by a lead buyer / supplier in a leading mlm company.

2] Competition:
When you buy opt in leads, you are probably competing with others, because the leads are ofetn sold to several buyers at the same time. The suppliers argue that competition is a part of the market any way.

3] How old are the leads?
Your guess is as good as mine. The only party that knows is the supplier who can make money from the leads for as long as he can sell them.

The point that I am making is that the industry tends to sing mantras, as if these are the holy grail, which they usually are not. My advice is to be open to wider possibillities. For example, why not explore the possibilities of generating your own opt in leads? In this way, you know that a lead is genuinely fresh and not tampered with in any way.

I'd be interested in any comments and I am also willing to share my strategies with anyone who would like to know.

Regards.

;D

Hello,

If you're going to purchase leads then you should buy from a reputable company. Make sure these prospects are double opted-in and only a few days old. Phone verified leads are also effective.

The best way to go without a doubt is building your own subscriber base. Offer a newsletter on your Website and give your visitors something free for subscribing. Make sure your newsletters are helpful, informative and not just promoting your products or services. You will then not only be building a list, but also trust. When this happens, they will be more willing to sign up for your offers.

Hello,

be very carefull when you buy leads from somewhere else. I did it already
and got my leads (just 3 days old) and transfered the cvs file to my
autoresponder for double opt-in to make sure to get now spam complain.
But some people could not (or wanna not) read the opt out message
and send an spam complaint to my autoresponder and me. I got in
trouble but have had luck to fix it.
Some people don't think about what they are doing and sign up for a list
or they sign up just for one reason ------to make trouble.

Again, be very carefull when you buy leads I do it no more and go the
hard way, they have to sign up on my own website to opt-in in my list.
This way I make sure they like to get information from me.

Sigrid

Post by: Matthew Green on March 17, 2006, 05:56:13 PM
Hello All,
First let me make my view very clear;
"I think buying LEADS is a waste of money"
and then let me eplain why;
"You can use the same money to generate your OWN LEADS"
Actually there are many ways to generate LEADS that are FREE..  Many of these FREE Programmes will have Upgrades which basically increases output for said Programme...
It makes more sense to invest money into generating your own LEADS.  You would be well advised to then introduce your LEADS to these services too...  Introduce your NEW LEADS to the Programmes that you used to Promote to them...  They already know it works because they prooved that for you, RIGHT...

If they buy in, so to speak you have yet another income stream to write home about, thats more money to invest into List Building Tools etc or take your friend to the Races.

Buying LEADS can not possibly be value for money because the second you stop paying, the LEADS stop coming...   Having your own LEAD CAPTURE SYSTEM that is fed by TEAM WORK will NEVER STOP...  24/7 Advertising that gets STRONGER and BIGGER just because it works... Being able to Build your OWN LIST is the ONLY WAY...  If you are to be successful it is YOU that needs to change the Browser into the CUSTOMER rather than paying someone else to say hello to their customers...

      The crazy thing is;
as a GDI MEMBER you have all the tools you need to capture leads...  You have a DOMAIN so you can have whatever you want on a Web Page (legal stuff obviously).. As a GDI MEMBER you can use the Lead Capture FORM to capture your LEADS and it also sends you their details by email.
If you don't like the Lead Capture pages of GDI use the HTML from the same form and make your own LEAD CAPTURE PAGES... (LCP's) and then upload them to your DOMAIN

Your NEW LEADS will be introduced to GDI for you because of the Auto-Responder messages (subscribe to your own LCP for a DEMO).  The email that you are sent can easily be forwarded to a seperate Auto-Responder to Promote other stuff such as your Marketing System.

You can also contact the LEAD PERSONALLY because you know that they are online and interested....

BTW you should always add Opt-Ins / Outs to your Emails... Especially automatic mailing lists. Opt-Ins are achieved by making a person confirm that they want to receive the emails from you and an Opt-Out makes it possible for a person to remove themselves from future mailing.  By adding Opt-Ins / Opt-Out LINKS you are eliminating the possibility of a SPAM COMPLAINT ever being Upheld..  You have thir permission and if the info you deliver is to Subject and of Good Quality they will remain on your list.

Title: Advertising free leads - a great way to recruit for GDI
Post by: Inatio Legorburu on April 28, 2006, 11:25:14 AM
Some of the most effective GDI recruiting ads were ads over "free leads".

There was a time that GDI were offering new members free leads, which was great for advertising and great for recruiting.

It seems that all networkers serious about their business are on the lookout for leads, signups and sales, accompanied by the words free or guaranteed.

Anyway, once again we have launched a "free leads" advertising campaign, which should generate fresh recruits for GDI.

I make my own leads along with other advertising sources.  My lead capture page is here.  www.homeforwork.ws/main.html or the one I made for my friend is basically the same. www.residualincomes.ws/concepts.html

I also use traffic exchanges, blogs, my own forum, and some other marketing methods.  Most of this is free.  I do pay for an auto-responder though.  I actually use two auto -responders so I have different kinds of lead capture pages with differnt messages in them the my leads recieve.
