I enjoyed my visit to your site. You have one broken banner which does not load.
The space problem can be generally solved by looking for the blank header and footer tags on
the individual blocks. Look for something like span class = "content_header" or span class="content_footer"
If there is nothing in them delete them

Hey Everyone! Im Jessica, and i've been with GDI for about 2 and a half weeks roughly! And I'm gonna be quite honest, i have not had any members sign up under me yet!! I've had 5 prospects but no one actually joined.  I don't know what I'm doing wrong, maybe I'm not saying the right things to the people, but i know that GDI sends a pre-made email to the prospects that have looked at the video.  I don't know what else i should be saying to encourage them to join the team! I would really like some help and someone to guide me in the right direction, with how to get more leads and how to have them go through with signing up! The most effective way to profit from your GDI business is to show the DVDs to your friends or family members.

However if you prefer to promote online, below is a summary of what you can do:

step 1:
create a simple webpage writing about anything of your interest or just generally about yourself
If you need ideas for topics, please visit articles sites such as http://www.goarticles.com/

step 2:
sign up for an autoresponder program.
for explanation of autoresponder and what it does, please see :

step 3 :
write a series of autoresponse emails (at least 7) sharing to your prospects why you join GDI

step 4 :
put a form with the autoresponder code at the bottom of your webpage, write something to encourage people to fill in the form to give you their emails
Example: Just fill in your firstname and email below to find out how I plan for my retirement

step 5 :
Show your website to as many people as possible, there are many stategies out there on that.
Try searching "how to generate website traffic" on google for tips
You can also browse the forum to find out more, or send me a private message.

step 6 :
Once you get sign ups, teach them step 1 to step 6

It may seemed a lot to do at first, but you only need to set that up once and it will work for you forever.
That's the beauty of this business.  ;D

This my understanding about the process.  This business allow you to create your own website for your own personal use or if you have a business you can develop a website and run your business through your site.  In addition to that you can also get other to join you and you will get $1 for each person that you help join. This can duplicate what you did and will also get a commission from those that is under the people that you help.  I hope didn't confuse you.

Chiip, I have new GDI success ideas. One, set a a bonus program for affiliates who propose a success idea, business plan, or marketing tool that evolves to fruition within the GDI Forum. Secondly, can the system be set up to let you know immediately by email that someone has written you a message
from the GDI Forum? I personally need more real time one on one communication. I am not implying that the other mechanisms such as talk.ws does not work, quite the contrary it is outstanding. It's just I feel like I need more. Thirdly, I suggest GDI evaluate it's compensation plan and pay more to the affiliates direct recruit no matter where they are place in their downline. Not just  a one time payment but a $$ figure even if only and addition $1 or $2 dollar increase or difference provide incentive, motivation, and encourages upline affiliates to assist their downline so they can see the system actually works, how wonderful it is resulting in increase retention. I do not know if my story or experience is typical because I am the "newbie" on the block, however I was initially bombarded from my immediate direct upline person for the first few days until it was overwhelming, and then wham, nado, ziltch, zip, nothing, not even responding my last email communications. I even tried emailing further upline because one of them live very close to me, and absolutely NO response. The initial sharing of information with me by GDI Affiliates, is they do not recommend placing enrollees in you downline, but that I could do what ever works for me. I was a little a taken-a-back by the comment and advice. In fact I disagree with such an approach. Their are thousands and thousands of GDI Affiliates out there, we need them and their input, such as was demonstated by Melissa above in this forum thread.

Hello, my name is Ursula, and I am new to MLMs in general and specifically to GDI.  I have a long time relationship with a huge base of people from bartending...I do not know how to go about introducing this to them while they are having a drink.  Could someone give me a few pointers? 

I have a couple of questions that I am really hoping someone can answer for me as my direct upline person doesn't even know me and has not responded to my emails.  First, I asked a totally techie friend of mine about these .ws sites...he says that yes, they do really exist, but .ws does not stand for website as stated in the GDI video, but is the moniker for what is now Samoa, used to be Westren Samoa, hence the .ws, kind of like .us or .eu etc.  How true is this?  Does anyone know the real answer?  Is it necessary to actually purchase the DVDs?  Isn't the online presentation the same as the DVD?  As someone who has never done any sort of MLM, what is a real time frame to begin to expect to earn some cash?  If I want to give my kids a site, is it an additional $10/ month, or is it included like the extra mailboxes?  If it is an additional fee, do they come in as part of my downline?  If someone else is using my computer to access the invite I sent them, will I still get credit for it?

For anyone that can answer any or all of these, I would greatly appreciate it.

Don’t be discouraged the 7 day free trial period really isn’t enough time to see the results that you are looking for it will take time some do it faster than others.

Is this hard to do? Yes and No… yes if you came in without a plan of action and hi expectations then you’re doomed in order to get from point A to point B you must have a map. Start with a goal and write down the ways to get their or shall I say achieve it, breaking them down into smaller checkpoints will help keep you moving forward in the right direction. And No this business is not hard its as hard as you make it! If you think it’s miserable it will be, so keep it fun and enjoy what you are trying to accomplish people will fell it and will want to join you after all they don’t want to see you having all the fun.

I have ordered DVD's, and passed out a couple.  I have ordered Business Cards, not here yet.

I have read the manual, and am trying to start.  I ordered a good many leads, but, after reading the spam
notes, I am afraid to use them.  I get 2,000 a day, and will cancel my order for them after my month is up.

Any suggestions on this will be appreciated. I don't want to do anything wrong, and it all be over before I start.

I am from Toronto, and I am two days newbie to GDI. So far I have sent out more than 30 invites to people I know, and I just gotten 1 signed up, and about 5 others watched the movie. Most didn't even bother to click the link to this site. I emailed to touch base with the ones who have seen the movie, but they haven't replied. So what should I do next, I ran out of people I know that I can send invites to. Should I buy some phone verified leads? the business cards and the dvds? I have started to set up my web site. I am not that computer savvy, so I didn't know how to put the banners on my web page?  ??? I am very serious about this, and I will make the most effort keep it going and reach maximum potential. I want to have 5 levels with more than 4 digit monthly income. Wonder how long that will take me. It would be nice to have that kind of success and just work on my costume design career without financial stress, and take the jobs I like. Any advice for Me. Thanks.

Ok here goes I have posted in 15-30 free classifieds and sent out over 1000 emails and have blogs and etc. etc. I have ordered the video's I have put out flyers ........I need to know a new way of getting people to sign up? I have hit a hill and am slidding the wrong way slow. So if anyone who has more than 4 people under them let me in on the secret. Thank for any reply's. I know this is a good business just do not know how to get there. I do not want everything over night but would like it in the near future.

Most people don't succeed over night, it is usually over a period of consistent effort.
Well done on your promotion, it may take a while for the traffic to build up.
Some other promotion methods that you may want to consider are:
1)article submissions
2)forum marketing
3)traffic exchanges
4)join a GDI downline builder program
5)pay per click campaigns
6)social networking

Each method has it's own benefits, it's better to just choose one method and learn it well instead of touch on the surface of everything.
When you master a technique, you can improve on it to generate long term traffic.

Your web site looks fine, but it is a little confuseing with the GDI banner right after the line about the best entertainment network. You might want to consider moving the banner to another location and also use a squeeze page so people dont have to scroll over to read everything.

I truly believe there is ample opportunity for every trial member and paying member to make unlimited income . I look forward to being a part of the GDI team and thank Cecelia Parnell for introducing you to me. Thank you for this forum, as this is the only help I am receiving. My sponsor is new herself and doesn't know anymore about this than I do, however, I do commend her for at least trying. I'm sorry to hear that you think of your upline in that way and also sorry to see them not welcoming you, the thing about duplication is we always presume that the person who signs you up is gonna take the lead in also answering all your questions you may have about GDI, and at times people in your upline hold back and let your sponsor go about doing that, it's not because they don't care, they do understand the importances of a downline and this motto from our founders

"You can have everything you want in life, if you would just help enough other people get hat they want"

In reality of it all, it is your sponsor you should rely on for that support, but if the sponsor is not up with the play, then a lack of support can occur, none of my upline from above my sponsor ever welcomed me or to this day sent me an e-mail, but I had such a great sponsor who gave me that support that I didn't need to look further above for it. But for me and my GDI business I will make that effort in welcoming everyone in my downline weather it be on my 1st level or my 5th. Don't let the mentality of your upline over shadow your desire to communicate with everyone in your downline. It's a great leadership skill to have, letting people in your downline know you care about them and their GDI business.

And it's great to see you believe in the system, that attitude will get you a long way and believing in it is the first step to success, cos when you do believe, everything you say about GDI becomes truth. All I can say is learn the knowledge needed to support and answer any questions your downline might have, equip yourself for the work thats ahead and become a leader to your downline all the while gaining confidence and gaining approval of that leadership roll by your downline. Never lack in any part of your business and all the while ever realizing that financial freedom is waiting at your door.

Well I stumbled onto this op during my normal root-around for something to do in my spare time outside of rebuilding two Austin Healey Bugeyes and doin' the outback of Central Texas on my Low Rider. In 1975 a Navy buddy started a burgular alarm business. Today he's a millionaire. I had originally signed up in May for the 7 day free trial of GDI, and really knew nothing about what to do with this or how to benefit from the site.  I am back and this time I have purchased my site, however, I still am not sure what to do with it. 
If any one can explain very briefly how it works I would really appreciate it.
I have an autoresponder that I  want to set up to work with this site, Now to figure out how to use it. Do I have an email address for my site on GDI? I have no idea what to do with my website now either.  Do I just keep it parked and sent prospects to it as is?  or should I set it up and use it to promote one of the other businesses I have to promote thoses businesses? Help!!!!! LOL. I would like to see some income comming in from somewhere soon!!!!!

Once the movie has downloaded you must then upload it to youtube or your .ws website, I think the HTML code above would be if you wanted to place it on your .ws website, because youtube has there own video box to play the movie in. But if you were to put it on your .ws website you then change the href=URL to the URL you uploaded the movie to on your .ws website, but leave the src=URL alone because thats the image URL.

I think your site looks far from amatuer.  Your efforts are evident and you provide valuable content.  If I may make a comment;  you should correct the spelling error of the word 'covering' since you have it as "coverring" on your first page.   Also, just my opinion, your page on child safety is very informative.  However, I found it a bit hard to read with each point a different color and no spacing between them.  I believe your site is well focused and the rewards will be reflected as a result.   To your success.   Paula

Get the DVD to give out to people as well. Learn to use your sitebuilder and use your site to advertise GDI. There are a million things you can do. Read the forum here. There are a lot of great suggestions.

what can you tell me about guaranteed signups?

My suggestion is for you and anyone else NOT to use these type of programs to build your GDI business.  If I am not mistaken, GDI has a policy against using them anyway.  Generally, signups that come from these sort of programs/services are only enticed to do so because it is free up-front and that there is no pressure to upgrade or purchase.  Normally these people have no idea what they signed up for.  It will be total waste of money, so PLEASE do not waste your money on these programs.  You will not earn a dime.

It is not hard but for sure it is not easy..
But after you will enroll ppls in your downline - they will try to do their best because they are paying
something that is more than $1..
You can do it by lots of ways like online classifieds,search engines and more..

Past week I began revamping my site, www.kelvinandrews.ws, simply burnt out for the moment, plus need to get some other things done.  I would like to set my page navigation menus along the left side and bottom of each page, anybody know a quick solution for this?  I intend to come back later and do some additional work on the site this weekend...

I never thought I'd be involved in any MLM system; however this one intrigues me-especially because of my love of the internet and all things computer.  I figured I had to give it a try.  However, I don't really know what to do next.  I have about 2000 potential leads I can plug in, but I haven't corresponded with all the people in this database.  Should I do custom snail mailings to them to invite them to respond, spend time on the phone with each-which seems to defeat the purpose of the 'no selling' hype, or just start sending invitations?  I"ve read the anti-spam materials and fully agree with avoiding making a pest of myself via e-mail.

Also, what's the best way to use the website features to publicize this system?  I welcome your suggestions.  I'm very intent on hitting the ground running.  If this really works, I want to acheive the most success possible. Thanks.

Its been a week and I have 3 people enrolled. For some that may be a little and others that may be alot, but for me it is a great way to start my week. If I had another business, I would have to practically beg my hot and warm market to join. I call it simpathy residual :-) only kidding. What I am trying to say is that I have watched a video that made alot of sence, introduced a product that everyone will want sooner or later, and that this product hade a unique feature "A new domain".

The company is not cheap as they share a good % of profits that go to the people working the business and for those who just want a website, they can offset the monthly cost by just referring 10 people. It's Win Win Win.

I was lead to this business via an ad and the video sold me. Much to my surprise, i was an animated video over 2 years ago and did not join. Hindsight is 20/20, well I am here for the rest of my future. Thank you Donna Brown for getting me started and giving me your valuable time. Your are right, this is a people business and I have only met Great People at GDI.

Like Rod said, add some info to it...make it personal  Speak some words.  Your own words.  Don't rely heavily on banners and the text links themselves. Tell the people what your product can do for them, how valuable it will be, what your experience has been...etc.

I have dove in full throttle bought my busin cards, bought 10 referals received two of the 10 and sent out emails to the two prospects purchased 2 targeted traffic camphanes to drive traffic to my site so far about 2700 hits but no invites I bought into the star but havenet found out how to utilize it yet and purchased feed blast and started blasting adds out. Looking for more information on:
1 How to use the site builder and is it inportant
2 Looking for way to promote the site with out spending any more money
3 Looking to make some fast money to pay for the cost already spent on web site promotion.

Not really sure why your html isn't working.  When you add your text are you sure that you are in html mode:  at the bottom left hand of the display window?  I have found that even though you have clicked to edit your site with the html link, you still have to check the box on the bottom of the page where you add your text.  It is the middle tab I think.   Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for your input much appreciated. Site built with single column shows fine on my computer (without side scrolling). Perhaps resolution is the problem. I use a mac with osx tiger with high res, Would this effect the way my site shows on other systems?
Sitebuilder is a little limited in design options, as it is I get 4000 character limit frequently so it is quite frustrating when laying out site, the format used seems to be the only option I have to get anywhere near the look and feel I am after. I have tried other formats included but just ended up going around in circles and spending much wasted time screwing up the paper and throwing in rubbish bin so to speak. I would prefer to use sitebuilder as it is a good advertisement for GDI's product plus I am still quite a novice with other professional editors. Any thoughts?

I was providing it for free as a test and found that there was enough interest and value, especially with the 1000s of weekly leads I'm providing (that alone is worth $$$) that for a very minimal cost affiliates get $1,000s worth for leads and tools to automate their marketing. Again I will test and see the interest. So far I'm getting very good results and feedback. The idea is to provide GDI related tools to simplify marketing to 1-2 hours a day-

I am not into conning people...ever! This is why I think GDI and dot ws is so good.
Not only do we get a web name we want but we can get a bonus with the pleasure of having a name we're happy with, instead of having to put up with the saturated dot com domain.
For those who want to get this extra bonus, they just have to share with others about what they are happy with. Having your name of choice is a bonus in itself, and the GDI folks are kind, moral and helpful. They have put together an easy to utilise business structure and for people like me, thaat's really handy!

What I meant by neutral color is black or gray.  To have your site seen as professional, the neutral colors work more in your favor.  Flashy colors often send up alarms in people.  Plus, some colors are not seen by those who have visual challenges.  Hope that helps.  Take care.

I really do not know how to fix the scrolling issue. I have tried formatting differently but the same thing occurs. It is strange because I am using the exact same tools as a workmate of mine who is also in GDI, with the same formatting options and his site views fine without the need to side scroll. The only difference in what we are doing is that he uses a PC and I use a Macintosh, maybe this is the problem. If this is the issue then I will have to live with the problem because this Mac just cost me too much to disregard, besides I love my Mac  ;)

I am not very knowledgeable in that area of things.  Perhaps there is a difference between the PC and Mac.  Buying a new machine is understandably not part of the equation.  I wish that I could offer you more in the way of a solution.  The only thing that may be an option is to use someone elses PC to format your site.  It may be a way of determining if the difference in machines is the problem.  Take Care Marty and have a great weekend.  8)

strange since it shows a copy of it to put in the box. {The popup message says..."no such domain exists."}

I don't know if this will help or not, but I had a horizontal scrolling issue and think the problem was the page links.  When I renamed the page links, making them shorter than the page width it seemed to resolve the scrolling problem.

I say "seemed to resolve" because I was seeing it in preview but not whne I looked at it after publishing.  I think that may be because I'm using a very large monitor.

Thank you for the time you have taken to go through my site.  I really appreciate the feedback on the banners that are not displaying correctly.  I think this is a big lesson to learn to all who are promoting other programs.

Very so often we promote programs, and they give us banner code to put on our sites.  After a couple of months the code does not work correctly.  Hence we have to constantly check our sites and pages for broken links and not displaying banners.

I really appreciate the help from all you other GDI members.  This is a very great tool for us to use to pick some of the other creative brains out there.

You are most welcome.  I have had the same problem with banners in the past.  Yes, a lesson learned.  I think the only way to get around that it to save them to your computer and then re-route the source from your computer so that they always work.  I have had to do this with programs that offer free banners.  Otherwise, it is a constant check to ensure that everything is working properly.  Perhaps the lack of function says something about their reputation.  Only a thought.  Take care Werner and hope all is well.

Just joined today. I have never tried a business like this before. I'm a freelance web and graphic designer and I'm definetely going to use that for my advantage. But I have no sales skills whatsoever. I love the fact that you can really get creative with this type of business as far as advertising and recruiting is concerned. But, I'm horrible at approaching people to sell anything (even if I know it will benefit them). I guess that's why I was hesitant to join at first (the free-trial period sealed the deal)... If you are inquiring about adding a signature to your postings as I have done, click on your profile tab.  Then go to Forum Profile info.  Here you can upload a photo, add your location, include your birthdate, share your website address and personalize your signature.  Hope this was of help to you.

I feel you have made a good effort with your site.  However, I have dilemmas.  First, you state it is not a "get rich quick scheme."  Then on another note, you say "pay bills immediately" and "get out of debt immediately."  I fear that people will read this information and resort to the conclusion that it is a scheme.  Mostly because you are not willing to provide a name to the system or reveal vital information that people may want in order to research the product.  Secondly, I do not know of a system that will do such a thing.  PLEASE forgive my ignorance.  Then you go on to state people can have a free website with the GDI banner below.  Is this advertising correctly?  I do appologize if I am not reading things correctly.  However, I believe I have relayed what I feel others may see upon reaching your site.  Lastly, there are some grammer errors that you may want to address.  I wish you all the best and may your endeavors be fulfilled.

I'm currently still on my 7 Day Free Trial Period and trying to navigate my way around.  I am looking to retire within the next 3-4 years and came across GDI searching Yahoo under Residual Income.  I will have to be honest right from the git-go here that I am still a bit skeptical.  Everything looks so good on paper, as it usually does, however, I do believe earnestly that in order to really prosper at this opportunity it will take a lot of hard effort.  I call it effort versus work, because if you really enjoy what you are doing, then I don't consider that "work".  My next step is to send personal email (not using the "invite list" just quite yet) to my closest friends who I believe would be most interested in GDI and of course, who will honestly tell me their opinion.  Whether I act upon those opinions of course, is another matter :)    All comments welcome!

Lynn, it is good to enter this endeavor with a healthy amount of skepticism.  I like you am involved in GDI with my eye toward retirement (another 5 years).  I started almost 2 years ago and plan to have my business on solid ground when I reach retirement in 2012.  That being said I am in no hurry and am not stressed to make it profitable overnight.  I have noticed most people seem to enter this with the idea that they should be making money within a short period.  $10.00 a month won't bankrupt me. Therefore, I simply plod along at an even keel, slowly building my business to profitability.

I don't have all my resources tied up in GDI.  I am also developing other income streams. I have more than 18 websites (three of them hosted through GDI). I think of my business as a store in which I sell many different products.  GDI just happen to be one of the products.

I suggest you simply concentrate on learning as much as you can about one product at a time, concentrate on developing it until you get it to the point of maintaining it with minimal effort,  and then start developing other products, rinse, and repeat.  3 years from now, you'll be surprised at what you can accomplish.

Make sure you visit the forum often and make a habit of copying and saving useful posts on your hard drive so you can find them when you need them.  All the best in your endeavors...

I'm back. I was in GDI a couple of years ago, but I didn't commit myself like I should have, and ended up quitting. I actually "gave up" on trying to have an online income.

But, over the last two years something kept gnawing at me telling me I could be successful at this. Why did it take two years, I don't know. I love the idea of building websites and having the hosting, and I truly believe this is an awesome business. So, I'm back again and this time I'm going to do what I need to to get it done.

I don't have a very big advertising budget yet, but I think at first I will use my GDI earnings to pay for some advertising and such. I wish good luck and success to everyone involved with GDI, and I am ready to go!

I will take more time soon on the forum. I think it is very interesting. We are very lucky to have so many knowledgeable people surrounding us and people willing to help, for nothing but a Tank you, and for all the technology involve with radio stations.
I read some post of people having problems and those having solutions. Again it is the substance of a beautiful family.

Some people are eager and want to quit. First of all I think it is marvelous to be able to build our own site using an easy to operate WebSiteBuilder. Than of course we do have to learn some sells technique or follow some winning examples. Most of all we must understand that it takes time, it takes time to learn than it takes time to share what we believe in. And that is where I believe the selling starts, when we believe in our product.

I just thought of a funny comparison that should give courage or patience, imagine trying to sell a fifty pound bag of potatoes for $10, you would have to present it. Would you walk around in the street with a fifty pound bag of potatoes on your back? I think GDI is very affordable and light to carry. In time we should all be winners.  :)

I wanted to say hello to all of the GDI agents and staff that check out to see who the new guys are.  I am looking forward to working with GDI.  I currently own a technology company that is located in multiple states.  I have been playing with the idea of building a business around working at home.  The problem with most work at home opportunities?  They are scams.  I have researched GDI for a few days and I like the premise.  As an entrepreneur I believe GDI provides a great opportunity.  I believe one of the key success factors for my team that I will build is providing the support, guidance, and motivation that is required when building any team.  This is definitely not a get rich quick scheme and will take discipline and work.  The great thing is I now have 8 plus hours I will be able to dedicate at building a successful business.

Loved your photos of Argentina.  Very beautiful.  However, some of your pages also require side to side scrolling to read the message.  Also, you have a lot of repetition with several of your banners.  In one spot you have 3 banners for the same program one right after the other.  I think this takes away from the professionalism you are trying to obtain.  Lastly, some of your text is, in my opinion, too large.  I believe you are off to a great start on your site.  Keep up the good work.  Take care.

Other you can join GDI-feeder like 3in7/GDI, PIF4P and others and try to invite all your friends and family members those can join you.

     This is the only thing I have ever come upon that didn't somehow manage to raise at least a small red flag somewhere in my logic-driven mind.  Hope to find plenty of info here and will read any and all suggestions.  BUT, I am barely crawling at present and UNTIL I know I can run with the ball and lead my own team as they will deserve to be lead, and even afterwards, I will primarily depend upon and trust in the guidance of my own sponsor.
     Long ago, I learned a valuable "life lesson":  "WHEN DRIVING IN THE DARK, never outdrive your own headlights!!".
     But, OOOOOOOOOOOOOH I do love SPEED!

It's probably a good idea to go to your page properties and select a format other than "Flag" or "Letter".  Maybe your pages will look better in Single Column. ;)

What are the first steps?

hello all! this is actually my 2nd go 'round w/ GDI...a month or so ago l tried the 7-day trial but cancelled after 5 days, too busy w/ day job and family stuff....now that I have some time, l really want to give it another try...cuz l really DO BELIEVE the potential is there to make some serious $$$

l suppose l'll ask the obvious question any new person would...l've joined...l'm convinced...now what???

also, l found it a bit disconcerting to see so many .ws sites from posts 1-2 yrs ago....inactive/cancelled. does that mean those folks gave up and their sitenames were recycled and available again? thats my non-tech interpretation...

I have a website at http://www.getfinancialfreedom4u.ws  (http://www.getfinancialfreedom4u.ws)  As one review pointed out some text overlaps if viewed through an internet explorer browser.  Via firefox it is fine.  Is there anyway to overcome this problem.  Are GDI aware of this issue/ difference between the two browsers.

Just looked at your site and have a few comments.  In your first sentence on the second page you have "Hello all, and that you for visiting my web site."  Perhaps you would like to correct this as it doesn't make sense.  On the same page, you have many sentences that need correction as they are not grammatically correct which takes away from any professionalism that you are hoping to obtain.  On your "Socal Networking" page, your Adland banner doesn't work.  Your page that states, "Adland Pro Sucess," the word success is spelled incorrectly.  I like what you did on the page titled "other."  Overall, your site looks great.   Your efforts are evident.  Take care.
