G'day,
I'm seeking advice from other "successful" Australian GDI members.
Australians can be very skeptical about online endeavours (and nearly everything else!) they show they are interested in the concept and read all the material sent to them and they still remain reluctant to commit, what I really want to know is have you had much success in signing up other Aussie members and if so, from your experience what is the clincher that really sells this great package to other Australians?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I am also an Aussie and like you have had zero success with sign ups here I don't know why, it seems Aussies prefer tried and true.I have just joined the forum to get some ideas on how to reach a wider market . Brett here, I too have only just joined in on this long term goal. With the hope we can all help one and other, as much as we can to keep moving forward.
As it is an American bassed Organization creates the first herdel, for that in its self tends to scare away a lot of us Aussies. With all the Cons, rip offs and other types of scams that have hit the land of OZ no wonder we are the way we are today.
How ever, if we form together,we can grow strong together and in our strenth we will show the others out there that it can work for them as well, becouse we are only new to the world of dot.ws. the internet as such, its going to take a lot of work on our side to show other Aussies that what we have to show them, is here to stay and can only keep growing.
If we were to think back, it was not all that long ago, that we could all have collour TV, then came the computor and how skeptical were we Aussies?
So as history shows to us. the Aussie are a hard market to brake into but once broken, go ahead with such force we are then hard to keep up with. With our numbers growing slowly, if we stick together, we will win in the end.

GDI is fantastic! Where else could you get domain, hosting, etc. with the potential to PAY you?

My thoughts.... fish where the fishing is best! The more people fishing in the same stream the fewer fish you can catch!

Years ago a rep tried to sell me his domain hosting service. He called about every two weeks. On his first call I was furious as I wasn't interested and he was wasting my time; his second call I was annoyed; his third I almost welcomed the chat; his fourth I began to see him as a friend; his fifth call?.... well he didn't call me back again..EVER!... and I had decided after his fourth call to tell him I was ready to go ahead next time he called!

He QUIT one call before success!

It was interesting to note that Chip recently mentioned that there are quite a number of  Regional Groups being formed.
Also, according to  Chip  there are a great many of us  Australians  out here.

It would be great if we could form our own  Regional Group in Australia for our mutual benefit, and for the exchange of promotional ideas,  and also to help and encourage each other to grow their  Income  For  Life

Any suggestions of how this could be organised would be welcome by all.     I do not know how the other Groups are organised  or their methods of communicating with each other.   Any ideas would be appreciated

I know a few Aussie GDI-ers, and from what I know, they get folks to sign up the same way we in the US do -- by being honest, by showing credibility (i.e., "hey, look at MY paycheck stub" -- once you get one, and you will!!), and by being a genuine person rather than a "salesperson".

I hear from many folks all over (but particularly Asia, for some reason) that folks in whatever region they are in are reluctant to sign up for network marketing.  Often times, explaining to folks exactly how GDI is different from the more "scammish" MLMs out there often does the trick.

Hopefully you're finding a lot of local folks to help you out more specifically.  But in the meantime, just keep on trying.  You'll get there!!!!!!!!!!  ;D

I don't see geographics being any issue at all -> if anything, that WS is from our part of the world so I almost feel it is home anyway (...well....at the very least - neighbours  ;D), and if the product is good, honest, and genuine, then thats exactly what will draw out many more Aussies :) ..Hey! I was just wondering if anything is in the pipeline for all Aussies to connect up and discuss GDI.  Maybe we could start a chat room and meet once a week or something.  I have no idea how this is done but would be interested in talking to others.  I really want this to work but am very confused.  My immediate upline did not contact me so I went to the one above and he gave me lots of information but you really need someone you can just call on when you feel lost in a sea of information.
It would be great to have "locals" that a phone call would be possible.  Anyone interested in perhaps a 3 or 4 way chat?
I am from Sale in Victoria and looking forward to getting started but not sure what to do.  I have purchased 50 leads which I believe go out automatically.  If I got someone who was interested today I would not really know what to tell them.

Are there any Aussies out there who would like to chat?  I would really love to talk to a fellow Australian who has been a member for a while and get some tips.  I think I have been making something hard out of what is probably very simple.  I have wasted a lot of money on other network businesses but I like the the fact that GDI is so affordable for anyone.

I agree with an earlier post that the biggest hurdle is it being a US based company.  We have to prove to people that this is genuine.

 I am so sick of getting emails asking if I want to join a "wellness" business.  They are so expensive and boring.  I think one of the best "selling" points for GDI is to say "this is not just another wellness industry business".

OK - here goes.  Your photo first has to be HOSTED somewhere on the internet.  You can host it for free at www.photobucket.com or you can upload it to your GDI website somewhere and link to that. 

After you upload your pic to photobucket, it will automatically generate a website address (url) to use for your picture in your profile. 

If you upload it to your GDI site, right click on the pic and click on properties.  Then you will see a website address (url) you can use in your profile.

Right click on my pot of gold rainbow here and you will see that my pic is hosted by photobucket.  It's free and doesn't take up space in your GDI sitebuilder.

I have been in the internet marketing circle for a few years now and can tell you that GDI is one of the easiest programs to promote. The only downfall I can see with this program (apart from it being US based) is there are no pre-written follow-up messages that members can use to entice new prospects into  paid memberships. That is what makes it difficult for 'newbie' marketers to build their downline.

There is a certain language you have to use when promoting online products or programs. Internet users have a different mindset to the normal advertising methods.

I have only just joined GDI even though I've known about it for a long time. I never joined up originally because I never had anyone follow up properly and keep my interest. I may be wrong about the pre-written letters but I have tried finding them without success.

As you can all see in other forum postings, there are not a huge ammount of Aussies promoting GDI seriously yet. You know what that means don't you?

THERE IS A HUGE UN-TAPPED MARKET HERE!

If there are any members that live near Coffs Harbour (I live in Woolgoolga) and you want to throw around marketing ideas and tactics, I want to hear from you. Lets make GDI work for us so we don't have to. I have lots of knowledge and lots of tools and would really love to meet someone that is as determined as me to be successful online.

Thanks to all that helped with creating my profile photo, IT WORKED!! I did exactly what you said & voila! Picture perfect!! What I did was, after not having much luck with just copying the URL from my documents/my pics, I saved all my photos to yahoo photos, then copied the URL from the properties box & pasted it on to my profile. Great stuff!! It worked a treat!

 my name is Grant, I am a personal fitness trainer in Lennox Head, NSW, Australia, I am 47 years young and I know about as much about the inter net as I do about deep space!!,( and I want to learn).

I am on the 7 day FREE trial, and I joined GDI on the spot after watching the 7 minute movie.

 I don't want to miss out on the next most explosive industry on the inter net, Domain name and Web services , however, I don't have a clue what the product is all about! and from the feed back I have  recieved from some of the 50 invites I sent out on my first night,  the most common question I have been asked, is,?? WHY do I need a Web site and 10 e-mail address's.

As I have mentioned above, I want to learn all I can, however I can't answer this question my self, ??? so what am I missing here, what are the benefits of this product, who is it for, and why will 500 million people get involved in this industry over the next ten years.

I look forward to all your (kind and understanding Ha,Ha!!)  reply's ASAP.

I checked your pic properties.  You are using yahoo to host your photos.  You to be signed in to your yahoo account to view the photos.  Therefore, YOU can see it on your pc, but WE can not because we do not have access to your yahoo account.  Does that make sense?  All I see is a square with a red x. 

I recommend a PUBLIC photo hosting site.  Photobucket can host your pics and anyone with the correct url can view them.  That way you can put those photos on a website and they will be able to be viewed.

I'm very fairly fresh to GDI, 5 weeks Fresh infact and I have had my fair share of running around
for legitimate opp's before landing here. Have had many bad experiences but also good ones with net opp's.
Anyway, most of my 5 years had been mostly educating myself with e-marketing and testing the knowledge obtained. Being very careful with many stategies with cost awareness, I finally concluded how to effectively drive lots of free traffic and actually generate leads with out any costs before joing a Networking program. This was my goal before actually committing myself to any business, learning how to market your opportunity without having to pay for it, I recommend for alll to do the same at first before dipping into your pocket. It was hard work to find and test all this out mostly  on my own.

I am not suggesting to go through the same level of due-diligence I had to go through, but rather consider what has been done and worked with GDI users here in this forum, they seem to know what is working for them. (have you herd the saying "don't re-invent the wheel"), I know you know where I am coming from.

I have been a member of many other programs and only few give service simlar to GDI, but I am predicting GDI to be a very good opportunity. I have kept my eye on GDI since 3 years ago now, and all I have seen and read about them from other sources, have been legit.

Australians are very skeptical ( especially when it comes to opps online), I am proof. Thats why it had taken me atleast three years to join a money program online. So, I suggest to start focusing on those overseas first.
Particuarly the U.S. Why? Most leads I have generated have come from the u.s and the fact that net stats show that u.s residents amongst the top most internet active.

Don't be scared to learn new things, especial marketing online. There are great ways to start learning, especially if you are starting. Seek guidance from your upline or uplines teamleaders about the best ways to start this.

Also, i have read somewhere about people who get together to form a giant downline together, then they join a wealth business together, maintaining this downline, so everyone benefits. I thought that made alot of sense. Would anyone out there be willing to try this out with me? We could get together & start to recruit people, then could encourage them to join as a group, so we can all do well. Please let me know what you think. (Boy, im desperate, everything i seem to do falls flat, im sick of getting rejection after rejection!!)

Just joined GDI before Xmas, I think the idea is brilliant! I've been a computer systems engineer for over 15 years and I can tell you the potential of this business concept is astronomical.

I've been reading some of the posts here about Aussies being sceptical. Don't worry, like most I was 'burnt' back in the late eighties with all the MLM rubbish that was going around. That's why Network Marketing in this country is a dirty word and why you'll have a hard time convincing anyone. But you don't have to. This business will sell itself - I was sold as soon as I'd watched the video (and I ordered 2 domains!!).

This business is the first network marketing opportunity I've seen in 20 years that actually has a useful product, is very cheap and doesn't require buying loads of useless pills, herbs, perfume, makeup etc. You don't have to worry about PV's, BV's, PBV's, meetings, conference calls, or trying to convince your friends to spend $hundreds per month on rubbish. Ten bucks a month !!! It's almost ridiculous.

A domain name, website and 10 email addresses is very useful to have. Because I work in the IT industry I can see the day when your own domain/website will be as common as a mobile phone/drivers licence. Aussies everywhere will eventually wise-up. By then they'll be wishing they got in sooner!

My wife has signed up under me and she's from Beijing - so we are looking at the potential of having thousands in our downline from China - as soon as translations for the web pages and business cards are available. Good to see the DVD's are available in Chinese. I also have contacts in the UK from working there a few years back.

Australia only has a pathetic 20 million people. By world standards we're irrelevant. Think GLOBAL - that's what the Internet is all about.

Can't sign up Aussies? Forget about them - get some pen-friends in other countries.

Apologies for such a long first post. But I've finally found something to get excited and passionate about, again. I'm definitely here for the long term - this is going to fund a very nice retirement!

Just joined but did see this business early last year.  Didn't join then, but now I'm working on the net full time and decided it was time to have my own domain. 

For those of you finding it difficult recruiting Australian's I ask you, why think Australian?  You are now working on the Internet and the world is at your finguretips.  Certainly don't forget your own region, but open your doors to the rest of the world also. 

I think I re-found GDI on a surfing site.  For those of you new to Internet Marking you may need to take some time and learn about some of the opportunities out there.  There are numerous ways to make money on the net, some scams, some slave labour, and some really good things.  GDI I believe to be one of those.  So, take a little time and never stop learning.

I've been with GDI for about 1mth now.  I'm finding that people just cannot believe that being a part of GDI is so affordable...Alot of potential leads just don't seem to understand what Domain sites are all about...and also alot of fellow aussies have been given a bad deal in the past with networking..soooo I'm discovering that I need to know exactly what I'm saying to other's and for me that means setting aside a bit of time to read, read, and then read some more... 

Am having ok success although not as good as some of you guys.. ;)...
I have info in places like supermarkets, forums(with permission of course) and where ever I can place an ad....

Hey Gang,

John from  Sydney, have been with GDi for a week now and it looks to be a good opp. Bought some leads, only a few have clicked through, they were mostly in the US. We'll see how that pans out in the next two weeks. Did some online advertising initiatives with much success...I think, the reason I say this is because it is hard to track in real-time what is happening in regards to conversions etc...For example, on one online ad campaign I received 200 clicks through to the presentation (yes, I spent alot of money) but the log information was not really updated in real time? At least when I called through to America for someone who did open up, it was the actual person looking for an opportunity for GDI. Unfortunately he was not home. I also sent through follow-up emails to check back with them, to no avail.

I guess if my online efforts were that successful then they would have signed up immediately.
Keep on plugging away.

Hello all

I have been a member of GDI since late last year and am slowly building my business.  I am working on building a website now to advertise the website product to small businesses.  However the main thing I am lacking which I need desperately are the GDI business cards which are shown in the member's area.  I have tried ordering these but the postage works out to a huge amount for Australian purchases.  Therefore it is unfeasible to buy them.  I was wondering if anyone has created business cards or got them done locally as I have emailed the print company asking if it is possible to buy the high res template and get them produced locally but have had no reply.

Any help would be greatly appreciated from anyone who has any ideas or suggestions on how I can get my hands upon some business cards as this is a must for me at the moment.

I have been with GDI for three weeks now. I am very pleased with myself because I now have my jewellery website up and running through web hosting and have created another for my husband using SiteBuilder. 

With regards to business cards, I decided against the GDI version as I have been unable to use the international phone no. for the promo and would think that prospective customers in OZ would find that irritating. I designed my own and had it printed. They also have lots of prepared templates to choose from. I think the cards are essential and worth the outlay. To be effective it doesn't have to look like the GDI card.
The design only needs to be simple. You can use Photoshop or Corel Draw or Microsoft publisher to create it. Use the GDI card to help with wording and put your own details on the back of the card.

Why did I leave in the first place you may well ask?

The only answer I can think of, was my lack of committment and confidence at the time.

Like so many networkers, I have had years of ups and downs and been burnt by the Good, the Bad and the Ugly of this industry, trying without success to win that elusive pot of gold. Despite some heavy losses, I have never lost faith in my belief that the Internet can be a good thing and will provide the goals I seek. 

So here I am, full circle and believe me I've only just started. From here on in, GDI is home and I look forward to an ever increasing circle of GDI friends.

GDI has been enhanced so much since my last visit, and from what I have learnt in the past day or two, I believe that this is a completely new beginning without limit for the Company and it's members.

I can understand the views of many in regards to getting our country men excited over MLM or other forms of marketing ,it's a shame we have become soured by some not so honest schemes in the past . I think maybe one of the first programs that put aussies of was AMWAY or the ( how to loose friends and alienate people ) as i call them ,please don't get me wrong here I have nothing personally against AMWAY or it's members ,merely the tactics they use to promote their program . That is why i believe we owe it to potential enrollee's to be upfront and give them the chance to absorb the information  ;)

My name is Peter, I live in Ipswich just west of Brisbane, and am starting a range of online businesses.  I am a proud 3rd/4th generation Aussie, love my cricket, football and tennis, and have exciting prospects.  I am using this GDI domain opportunity to first of all develop a webpage doorway to channel interested parties into various online business opportunities, both presently existing, one to come on line later this year, and two more to come online next year, with a variety of products or services.

Through this, I intend to develop a team of people who will do likewise, and have them develop their own webpage doorways, thus building a "ws" downline that way.

If Australian prospects are convinced that the online business opportunities are genuine and attractive propositions, then purchasing a "ws" domain becomes a matter of course, and there is no need to market GDI to sceptical Aussies.

This will be my initial strategy.  Maybe some of you other Aussies out there may find this strategy useful.

My name is Steel and I joined GDI only a week or so ago and i only got 1 paying customer...  :'( I live in Young NSW, a rural farming community outside of Wagga. Id like to market but in a town this small? chances are very slim... I thought of putting a small ad in the newspaper for a week just to see how much interest and calls i could get, i might do that next time i go into town. I actually joined GDI a month ago and got very confused and baffled with everything. I am fairly new to Internet Marketing and at the time i joined, there was so much info coming to me from all over the web. I am involved in a couple of other things and with all the information that i am receiving from them and trying to get things going has been difficult.

I know that i have jumped into a number of things too fast and as some of these i have to pay for monthly in USD mind you which is a bit dearer being an Aussie, i am at the moment working all day every day just to get things up and running.  Anyway, i am still having difficulty understanding everything.  I do have a situation where sending out invitations to others is not a promising event so i need to find other ways to get others to see what GDI has to offer. (YES, as you can see, i have not given up, as i do see so much potential with this).

I did email my upline saying that i was having difficulty with understanding everything, but never got a reply, and with this response i was determined to cancel my membership. I even decided to call the office to cancel but couldn't get through anyway with the time difference.

I really am looking forward to making this opportunity work for me, but i still feel that i am somewhat alone doing this. I have been reading a lot of the forums and i do see that there is a lot of help and i hope guidence here that will help me.

So now, i will stop chatting as i could go on for a while. I just want to say hellp to everyone and i hope the future will see myself and others prospering.

Site builder is very easy to use. Just take your time to play with it.  So many templates to choose from and lots of options for formatting. Concentrate on just getting the home page done first.

If you use the SiteBuilder it really is very easy. You can also switch to HTML view (the special coding that makes a web page work) and basically teach yourself some basic HTML. Make a change in normal view, then switch to HTML view and look at what was changed. That way you learn as you go. Good luck!

and your right Australians don't seem to take to
this kind of Business I don't know whether it's
the Internet thing or as was said before to many
SCAMS running around the net.

The other thing I've found is a lot of people come
and go which is frustrating as this is a good Business
with the potential to change our lives for the better
and people don't seem to be able to see and hang
on to that.

So hearing from other Australians that have joined
and who are building their futures is great.

Staying focused is probably the hardest thing for
people who join and to have faith that this will
work as long as they don't give up on the Business

I got 6 active and 6 trial members at the moment. My upline sponsor is helping me out which is great.

Nathan, you can get Debit Visa Card that act like credit card.  Just ask any bank if they have one and have your savings transfer to debit visa card.  I do have Debit visa card and no problem paying GDI.

Those of you having trouble finding referrals, well you can buy DVDs and pass around or business cards that you can leave at cafe, ATM, some places that you visit.  Without them watching, just leave it on table or somewhere to attract others and they will be curious.  And flyers, you can post them in letterbox and in A5 size which would be better and yes you can put it on windscreen wipers without people around if you can.

And buy leads on GDI and use invite to fill in fields and send them out.  Another idea is use email marketing which you can download the email bulk mailing software and or try autoresponder.  If you not sure  how to use it you can post it in GDI forum.

I'm a newbie, on my last day of trial and plan to continue to see how I go.  This decision came after a major freak-out session in which I even emailed all my previous invites and said I wouldn't be continuing so I have to start from scratch again.  I'm one of the above-mentioned aussies who is very sceptical of internet businesses but somehow this opportunity seemed to "feel" different then the others ... hopefully I'm right.  ::).  My daughter and I are having heaps of fun laughing at ourselves while trying to build our web page and that alone is worth the $13 odd dollars a month!

I'm Jenny and I live some of the year in Australia and the rest of my year in the States.  I'm living in Brisbane at the moment and I've just signed up in GDI today. 

GDI is looking REALLY GOOD to me and I see the huge potential out there in the market place.  More and more people, I was one of them, are fed up with their ISP deciding what emails they will send and deliver. 

I'm an entrepreneur and I make my living on the internet from several businesses.  There IS a lot of rubbish out there on the internet so you must do your due diligence when looking at any business.  You're right - I have noticed some Aussies flop around in indecision mode for ages and then let the opportunity pass them by.

Why don't we all agree that together we will take on the task of educating our Aussie friends about GDI and enticing them out of their comfort zones.  Our enthusiasm and tenacity will get them wondering what on earth we're on.

Also there is no contract. If it doesn't work for you, you can leave any time. That is pretty good I think. Also the website and hosting iitself is worth the money we pay.  But I do really want to get some money.

The Australian consumer as a whole is very refined and brand orientated, much more so than your average american, or european for that matter.

I joined M2Cglobal just over a year ago, and like GDI is an american-based company, except that we're marketing a physical product that is shipped by USPS, being a "healthy alternative to Red Bull, "V" and other energy drinks", being a drink powder in single serving sachets from the company in Dallas, TX.

There it's a case of convincing people firstly into the business. Like GDI, it's free to join, and then to order products direct from the manufacturer.
Here (with GDI) we're selling what I reckon is quite an interesting product and service, and there's the 7 day free trial.

We've got one up with GDI in that there's no product being physically shipped, but it's served up online. From personal experience with the other venture with M2Cglobal, you need to apply the GLOBALISATION spin to your prospecting approach.

GLOBALISATION - Telstra's doing it by outsourcing I.T. to places like India, as are many telemarketing companies who use indian based call centers. The internet has changed the way we trade. Amazon, Ebay, are all companies allowing you to buy o/s.

Hit the ebay market guys, just be careful with your advertising as ebay are quite picky.  I wrote myself an ebook and I sell it on ebay for 99cents - I sell it worldwide, but I've even had a few Aussie signups through it.

I have just joined GDI and I am very impressed with this opportunity, my working life(30yrs) has been  sales & marketing (the old fashioned way) face to face, now I am trying to come to grips with  network marketing it does crack me up a bit with "mines better than yours" so you should join this & that!! but looking past that I find it exciting and willing and able to take up the challange, I would appreciate some advice on the approach I will be taking marketing GDI, I intend to do group presentations using the DVD to do the hard work, yes I know what your thinking I locked in a time warp!! back to face to face, but it works for me!! my view is that I would sooner hire a function room invite 20-50 people once a week to a business opportunity presentation, have them sign up for free at the function, and build a local team,
My question is: am I right with my approach?? or do you consider I'm insane?? lol
Would appreciate any feedback from members that have tried my approach Good or Bad I'm all ears!!

I have read a lot about how to get Leads for free but the reality is that at some point yoou always have to pay. So are there any truly FREE places to get leads or is it all just hearsay.

If there are any suggestions as how to get a downline happening quickly I would love to know, I just have a very limited budget.

Personally, I am different from other people...I am working it off-line. My focus is the State of MINNESOTA of which I am from...trying to team up with others from my area. A lot of people are on a limited budget. Leave business cards wherever you go...out to eat...leave it with your TIP...libraries...leave it in the business magazines...leave it in the pocket of clothing in THRIFT stores...and my FAVORITE...the postage paid envelopes from your junk mail..."FREE"...mail your card back to them... :)

You can put "flyer's" up at internet cafes...grocery stores...laundry mats...gas stations. Anywhere there is bulletin board space. 

Many "free" ways to advertise... :)

The main point is if you do not start somewhere...it will never happen. With any venture...it takes time. I think EVERYONE should make 2007 THEIR TIME!!!... :)

Incredible though it may seem I have already had some response, that is "hits". I have not yet got a downline, but please give me another 48 hours and I reckon i will have. Now my question is this: Who are the top 10 GDI Agents in Australia? How can i find this out, and more importantly how I can meet them in person, or at least chat to them. I'm from Alice Springs, but currently undergoing some contract work in the UAE.

I've signed up two with three or four having credit card problems etc. As the price is only $10 pm, I figure that I can just push ahead promoting GDI at every opportunity everywhere I go. I don't expect to make millions, but if I can sign up 10, then my monthly hosting is free.

My approach to this is to sell GDI with something else. There are millions of people selling domain names and millions trying to flog MLM businesses. I believe a different, creative approach will be a winner.

Sure hope so.

Yep South Australian here!  :DI sent the invite out to all my msn and yahoo lists and got about 6 leads, but only my good ol brother joined so we will support each other into this great opportunity! I recken in Australia you have to target certain groups of people.. young people, asians, retirees, yuppies etc. I dontlike calling people. I prefer email however I do make myself avaliable to call in my emails if they have questions.

I'm just getting back in the saddle so to speak, I have a couple of companies to promote, I've been with these for a good number of years and even when I was not promoting the companies, I was still using their products. One of the companies was and is, GDI, I have been very ill for over a year and now that I'm feeling better, I'm getting back to my MLM things.
I have just finished publishing a club site for we MLM'ers, if you join me, you can promote your GDI URL from within the club site.

I am from the 'horse and buggy days' having worked for Australia's leading bank in a country town that did not even have electricity, using 'pen and ink' to write up customers ledger accounts and bank statements.     My entire working life was spent in the years BC (Before Computers)

My wife and I have 4 children and 9 grandchildren and among other things we had 2 family businesses.

Because of our $500,000 bankruptcy in 1996 when we were already in our mid sixties, I was still working 60 hours a week at age 77 when I nearly died from pneumonia in both lungs.

We do not own a house or a car, our bank balance of today is 47 cents, and we live on an Australian Age Pension of $420 USD a week.

That's my wife's name which is partly why I'm emailing but also to wish you every success with the business of GDI.

The key to making this work is in knowing who your market are and having a good upline as well as a strong and committed downline. You'll see a few posts on from Newbie's like you and I who can't seem to get things going despite following GDIs advice but stick with it and it will work. I've used a great online marketing tool to point me in the right direction and have already built a good couple of teams in different locations so am hoping this will really take off.

Your customers in case you don't know are people who want to build a website for themselves (these people can go to a web designer so they're a good bet for your downline also). And of course, anyone like yourself who wants and needs to earn money.

My wife (77) and I (79) moved from Upwey, Victoria to Noosa, Queensland on 23 June, 2007 with only a double bed, 2 computers, books, clothing, crockery and kitchen utensils, bankrupt ($500,000) and not owning a house or a car.   I was still physically working 60 hours a week at age 77 until I nearly died from pneumonia in both lungs! :'(

Are Aussies sceptical (Aust Oxford Dict. spelling) ?     You bet they are!     BUT, should we be downhearted?     I worked in the life insurance and car industries, and one thing I noticed, particularly in the insurance industry, was that many, maybe most, sales staff soon petered out when they had run out of friends and relatives.

I have a multi-millionaire property developer son who believes that there is one way, and only one way, to make money, and that is.....hard work!

Most of us would have heard many times that we should 'work smarter not harder'      As newcomers to IM we have heard of many people who have made huge incomes on the net, but how many do we actually know in person?

I have looked at GDI several times but never understood it because I never even got this far before.  There are many good people here who are willing and able to help us build our businesses as we must be to help others build theirs.

I opened an email from another GDI member yesterday who said that he had been a member of GDI for several years and was not the slightest bit interested in joining any other program because GDI had supplied all the income he had ever wanted or needed.

How many of you Aussies have ever heard of Janet Legere?      She is a member of GDI, is very active and well known on the internet, and here on GDI offers her help and assistance for building our businesses, not to mention our uplines who are also vitally interested in our success, as we must also be interested in the success of our downline to be successful in our own GDI businesses.

Are Aussies sceptical?     Of course they are!     My family is, and quite possibly your families are too?!

BUT Fellow Aussies, 'the world is our oyster'.     We are not confined to a market of 'some' sceptical Aussies!     There are, and always will be, sceptics of any race, colour or religion!
This business, like any other business, is a numbers game!      The most successful sales persons in the world have been the most persistent persons in the world!      How many 'Nos' are you prepared to accept before you get the inevitable 'YES' ?

I drew out the last $20 from our bank account on Saturday, leaving us 47 cents in our account until our next Age Pension payment on Wednesday night!     Am I downhearted or pessimistic?

Hi all fellow Aussies! Just found this place yesterday and still lookin' around. Finally, I think I may just have found what I have been looking for.

I'm a Sth Aussie thru and thru and for the past 28yrs have lived in and around the Barossa Valley. I have 4 children all living their own lives now - no grandkids on the horizon yet but I have 1- 11yr old cat, 1 - 11yr old dog and 2 <1yr old dogs.

Being on the wrong side of 50 and only back in the workforce for 6 years, I have been taking stock of my financial position and realised that if I don't want to spend my retirement years living off the pension, I had better find some other means of income either fully funded or supplemental to the pension pretty soon. Been looking online for business/workathome opportunities for simply ages and come across lots and lots and lots of them but nothing has taken my fancy as much as this site has. It comes at a great price too for all that's included - just need to work out how to put my website together and promote!

It is nice too to find a forum within the forum just for us Aussies - don't feel so much like "a fish out of water".  :D

This is the third time I have decided to rejoin GDI. Hopefully third time lucky as I have signed up under a team that is giving me leads each week which are in the thousands, I have also found that there is a GDI auto fill program available to help send out mailing to these leads.
Even though there are other web hosting services around and some do offer web design services but they come at a hefty monthly price, sure you can promote these services but you only get paid once for each sale, with GDI you get a continuing payment for each ongoing membership.
The other hosting services don't have the discussion forums and other members who are willing to help each other out with issues such as web design and lead generation.
With the other hosting services if you cant pay on the day your website is offline which is not good for business, yet with GDI I have gone 14 days before I have paid for the service and in that time my web page is still online.
The hosting service combined with the affiliate membership does make for a good combination as there are many affiliate memberships whose products are just rubbish, basically an affiliate service for a lousy e-book or even worse nothing.
The one thing I don't like is having to get prospects to sign up.
The GDI product is good but your in competition with other members to get sign ups. There was one affiliate membership program which solved that problem, which was each member was put in a rotator system for sign ups so each member involved was guaranteed a sign up but the product was garbage. If GDI were to guarantee that each member who joined was given at least five sign ups on start up then I would believe that this company would be a winner in affiliate memberships an no doubt wipe out the rest who are basically scams.
We Australians are a skeptical lot and for good reason, but we should not be too skeptical about this company as it serves a dual purpose one is an affiliate membership that gives a residual payment from sign ups and two it is a web hosting service where you can create a web page for your web business and on your web page you can put your GDI affiliate link, banner on. So either way you can promote GDI through your web page or promote your web page through GDI.
This is why I have decided to come back.

just signed up last week! One little bit of advice from someone who has been selling stuff on the net for a couple of years....use your WS website to sell the GDI product. Make sure it's different to everyone else's, target a particular audience by using keywords and then  use Google to advertise....you can get good results with as little as $20 worth of ads per week with them on a pay per click basis.

Mail drops in your local area can work too...make sure you need the exercise or get the kids to do it  :D  I am putting together my ws website bunching several affiliate systems and paid social network sites together on the one site. You have to be different in order to get signups! There are too many others out there all doing the same! YA GOTTA STAND OUT  :o !!!!!

I maybe the worsed one in regards to this aussie GDI thing.  Man did I start out bad.  I had a good sponsor.  My family were worried I was joining another scam dodgey website.  I was setup with my sponsor well, until I got scared about pyramid selling and I thought that's what GDI was doing and maybe illegal.  I end up deleting stuff. Offended my sponsor because of thinking that GDI could be illegal....MMAAANNN did I screw up.  I have done damage and probably stuffed my reputation a little.  If I still want to try GDI I have to earn my reputation again.

Well that's me.  Maybe we all aussies could get together.  I GDI has thousands and thousands of sign ups then it could be really hard to start off. But they say you need to work hard.

I'm a Kiwi grandfather now enjoying the sunny Gold Coast. I have been a member of GDI for several years and have only ever signed a handful of Aussies or Kiwis. Most of my business is based in Central and South America and Asia, however my downline now reaches about 22 countries.
Stick at it guys, GDI is a great company and I'm sure you'll enjoy the cheques as they arrive each month.
To the post requiring info on payments. I use a Debit Card and recommend that all my downline use them, especially in countries where Credit Cards are not in common use. Paypal is fine but not available worldwide. 

Hi guys.  Just signed up today.  I'm from New Zealand.  Been here just 5 years, living in Brisbane.  Looking forward to working with you all on building an enduring internet business.  I work from home (mostly) nowadays.  In a business partnership with the primary function of professional cleaning.  Working the marketing division "on-the-side" to generate additional income streams.  Help out with the cleaning only when I have to, and it saves on gym fees!!

Plenty of internet opportunities "out there" but very few with what GDI can offer.  Just stick to it.  Hard work will deliver rewards.  Its all about commitment, and not quitting.  Keep looking at other opportunities, to learn what works and what doesn't work.  Introduce these new ideas into your website and implement (just remember to let me know OK!!).  Do whatever it takes to limit your exposure to dinosaur business, and embrace the information age for what it really is: the very best opportunity at any time in history for the ordinary bloke / blokette to make it big.  Think of it as drilling for oil back in the 1880's, just 1 million times bigger.  The figures are just too huge to comprehend.  Empire building 101.

And don't forget to get some sleep!!!

I have had two views and no signups and what's worse is the leads I purchased are in all areas of the USA so phoning may be a big problem! I am sending them invites and trying to send a few introduction emails with a bit of humour to show I will assist them... but any advice. I am hoping to raise some kind of money by year's end!

Yes....another Aussie on the hook here.

I hear you peeps in regards, to guarded and sceptical as I have paid some $$$ for a number of US products and basically threw money out the door.

Still in trial process...lots of hits to site, no referrals, no response to emails from sponsor.....that's the sad parts. The good....customer service is prompt, phone support is existent  and almost instant access to speak to someone.

My concern is I have posted ads only over the net and I am getting plenty of hits, though no conversion. I very hesitant to invite friends etc through the site when I haven't generated a cent.

Is the invitation process through GDI the only real way to gain signups?

Anyone with advice as to how to convert referrals without invites through GDI site. Perhaps paid advertising may result in more conversions?

You can contact your sponsor by going in your members area under Affiliates and "Upline".. there will be contact information for 5 levels upwards!

In case you are confused, when I joined GDI I was known as Kitty Brown [marriage name],so my GDI account is in the name of Kitty Brown.
I now go under the name of Kitty Jellinek [maiden name displayed on most of my websites].

This is a world wide business, I use Internet Marketing as my recruitment tool. I find that people from all over the world love GDI, Australians included.

If you promote the GDI business via your own GDI website, then the site will do all the recruiting for you.

However you must be prepared to promote your site or no one will know your site exists.

For anyone who is from the Gold Coast, Brisbane or the Northern NSW area, we have just started hosting our very own
GDI meetings every week. This is a great opportunity for you to bring guests/prospects along to see the DVD presentation and to get their questions answered in person. Our intention is to make the GDI business the biggest Australia has ever seen!!
Our meetings are every Tuesday morning (10:45am start) and evening (6:45pm start) at the Merrimac Tavern on the corner of
Gooding Drive and Ghilgai Road, Merrimac (across the road from the German Club).
Very soon we will be hosting our own Webinars (however, this is only for members of my team)

I take it you are referring to the paperwork required to eligible for the Bonus Commission pools each week?
If so, go to https://www.website.ws/kvmlm2/contests.dhtml?language=english
and go through all the details here.
You only have to fax or scan email the last page of each document and they do require your very own profile pic and testimonial to
be eligible. If it's done correctly, you will get a confirmation email within 24 hours.

I've been a GDI member for 3 months but this is one of my first visits to the forum. Great to see other aussies aboard. Would recommend qualifying your account for the weekly bonuses. Postage from the US to AUS is a bit expensive. But if your apart of a good team build the 5 signups a week is quite achievable.

Welcome to GDI Mary! The best advice I can give you is to go through the "GDI Wealthguide" in the back office.
It's located about halfway down the page under the "Webinar-GDI" section, you'll see the "Need help Getting Started" headline and the link below is underlined in blue.

If you have already done this then I suggest tuning into the GDI Weekly Webinars every Wednesday morning, 11AM QLD time.
I myself have found invaluable information on this webinar and I haven't missed a single one since I signed up in January.
You can register for this by also going to the Home Page in the back office.

If you want to watch any previous webinars (dating back to September 2009), go to www.gdiwebinars.ws

Hi all this is Barry from Sydney. I am an entrepreneur from Fiji who now resides and works in Sydney. I reckon this is a great idea however much more work than just an email with a link is required. Especially with the amount of spammers out there. I recently got an email from a friend saying he was in London and got robbed and needed my help so he wanted me to wire $1200 pounds over to him. So i rang him instead to find out he is in Fiji and that some smart guy had either bounced the email off his account so it looked like it was from him. BEWARE FELLOW AUSSIES OF THIS IT IS A SCAM!. However as i was saying this opportunity to make money requires much more effort such as having a chat about it over a coffee as we love our coffee lol or even chatting on facebook to your friends about it instead of just posting the link on your profile. And then following up with the email including the link of course. Anyways good luck to all of you and hit me up if you are interested in having a chat over a coffee some time...Always eager to expand my network of friends.

Frank it is all about courage and persistence. You returning says allot about your will to get it right. Look for your sponsor and upline for guidance. Too many time I see members join and give up right before even asking for help. You have to understand we need support from real hands on people. Never give up and you will achieve everything you set your thoughts to.

I have watched how people just joining make it a point to reinvent the wheel per say. Hey, GDI has everything in place and if you utilize GDI for what it is a solid foundation to launch your business. Then you will keep yourself in reality. Just remain transparent and do not try to sell GDI. It is not needed and will back fire on you. Yes, get 100 people in one week. Yet, they will all leave in about 7 days. Give one month if you are not supporting them in find their passion and building a real business from just that.

Get creative yet do not self-promote GDI. It will not keep people in your organization. You can do it right the first time or fall below after one month. On the high horse as they say and then rock bottom.

Take your time this is a lifetime journey not a race? If you get anything out of what GDI is remember platform that is a solid foundation to launch your business. Each person is unique and will have a different passion than yours. So, their business will reflect there passion. Just get that.
