Hello how do you start your emails & autoresponders to work for you Ray

You can put a lead capture form on your website or blog.
Encourage your visitors to fill in the form by giving away a report or video.
For example you can write :
Fill in the form here to find out how to make money online
Then redirect them to the GDI movie or a report download link.

If you are using an autoresponder program, then the emails will start when the visitor confirms his/her emails.
To learn about the technical details on how to put the form on your page, please send me a private message.

Hello,

A couple of weeks back I lost my hard drive. Bummer huh? Well I hadn't gotten everything backed up when that happened.

My question is I am using site builder to maintain my web site and had files stored there. I would like to get them back on my hard drive so that I can edit them. How can I download them back to my pc?

Thanks

Bill Rowe

Hi Bill,

If you are using the site builder, your files are in the GDI server (your account)
Just login to the site builder page to edit them.

I am not too sure if you can download the files to your hard drive if you are using the sitebuilder.
This only works for the hosting option.
I suppose you can copy and paste the HTML codes from the site builder to edit them in your computer.

Which is the best address to give a prospect, or put in ads?  There was one I ran across that gave a short 5 minute presentation with live people then tells them to watch the animated movie.  I like that the best, but now I can't remember which address it is that will take them there.  Does anyone know what I mean?

Are you referring to this one

Is there any specific area that you need help?
Most newcomers need information on how to promote the opportunity.
You can try using namecards, flyers or DVDs for offline promotion.
For online methods, try traffic exchanges, classified ads, blogging and article marketing

If you have their MSN or skype id, that would be the best.
otherwise you can drop them an email.

36  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: first 5 sign ups on: August 23, 2008, 10:10:48 AM
I have  3 people on my 1st level and 2 on my second level. ( this happened while playing around with my downline).  Should i have all five on level one  before i start the second to see some decent form of commission?   Embarrassed

my personal opinion is to build deep to keep all your downlines excited.
what i do is to build 1 leg 5 levels deep before moving to the 2nd leg.
You may earn less in the beginning, but this should last longer.

May I know how building the business on a budget related to the GDI new web builder?
Does it come with a webpage builder like GDI?

I just sent this to support. Maybe we will find out something soon. Maybe not!

No One is addressing the issues of the new site builder. If you are not aware of them go to the forum and have a look. http://talk.ws/index.php?topic=11061.from1218397958#new

Can we get some information about when the issues will be solved?

I've built my business on a budget! If you need any tips on how to do it and develope youself into an expert, I can help. Just PM me and I get back to you as soon as I can.  Though, if you go to www.gdi-made-easy.ws it's sure a good starting point!

Good Luck!

Could you tell me how you created splash pages?  I have another website I can direct my traffic from, do you think this will help?

Thanks for your help!

Ken

I use a traffic exchange downline building program which offers free splash pages that I can use immediately to promote my GDI business.
There are also some splash page creation software that can help you with that, however you would need to use hosting option
and upload the pages onto the server. The benefit is you can customise it to promote any programs you want.
Let me know if you are interested in the software, I can send you a copy.

Hi my name is Scott im trying to build my web site and im not sure what to put for a site name what is the best thing to put for that i dont understand muck bout making a web site?

Hi Scott,

Your site name is simply the the title of your webpage.
What is the main topic that you want to write about?
For example if you want to post photos and write about your family on the website, you may fill in the site name as "Scott's Family Website"
or "All About Scott's Family"

Hope this helps.

After reading all the horror stories, I think it would be wise to put on hold any site design using web builder for the moment until all the hiccups are solved
Alternatively you can use 3rd party offline web builder if you can't wait to go live.
One good and free one is NVU, get the software free here:
http://nvudev.com/index.php

I have video tutorials on how to use NVU if you are new, just drop me a message for the link.

Hi Denise,

There are many approaches to downline building, I am sure you will see that different people will have their own model that works.
Just browse through this forum, you will find free tools and advise, just adopt those that you are comfortable with.
Personally, the tools that I use are :
-autoreponder
-downline builder
-blog

The marketing methods that work for me:
-article marketing
-direct response (with squeeze pages and videos)
-traffic exchange
-classified site/ directory submission
-press releases
-forums

Where do i get the code .  or How do i download my gdi videos???

i would like to post them in Myspace, and yuwie.

please help

mike dhane

There are youtube download programs that you may use to download GDI videos.
But some of them are copyrighted by owners who have posted them in the video sharing sites.
If you need to know which ones to use, please send me a message.

I AGREE WITH BRENDA'S PREVIOUS POST

I TO, HATE THIS NEW SITE BUILDER.  IT HAS TRASHED MY SITE AND 18 OF OUR TEAM AS WELL.
HAS TAKEN ME 5 HOURS TO TRY TO FIX MY FRONT PAGE AND EVEN NOW I CANNOT GET BACK THE AUDIO
I ORIGINALLY HAD ON THE SITE.
ALSO CANNOT GET BACK AN IMPORTANT VIDEO CLIP I HAD.

THERE ARE NO DECENT TUTORIALS
AND SOME FUNCTIONS WERE USING 100% CPU AND LOCKING MY COMPUTER [I HAVE 2GIG RAM]
ALSO WAS USING 78% MEMORY

I AM VERY ANNOYED AND GUTTED THAT I NOW HAVE TO REBUILD IT

DAVE [vauxman]
Been with GDI since May 2005 and never had trouble with old site.

I agree with you to some extent.
I feel that the new builder is just good looking without any real improvement in the functionalities.
As a long term GDI member, I suggest that you consider choosing the hosting option?
This way you can easily create/edit your pages (with any templates from the web) offline, and upload it to the server with FTP.
I find this faster and I can be more in control of the layout as well.
