1  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: GDI Membership & Newsletter on: April 09, 2008, 08:57:56 AM
How many people are now involved in GDI, and how fast has it grown?

Is there a company newsletter?  I'm not getting one.

Does anyone know the answers to the above questions?

If I shared my website(s), I sure can't find where I did, now, so let me share it again.  Along with my GDI site...GreatSite.ws...
My other .ws addresses are ChristianMom.ws and ChristianDad.ws.

I have an idea, and I would like your opinion on it.

It is to market GDI's opportunity and products to Christians as an inexpensive, systematic way of helping one another through ChristianMom.ws and ChristianDad.ws .  They will be The Christian Moms Team and Christian Dads Team at GDI .

5  .WS Business / Marketing / Re: .WS is a 21st Century Fundraiser, long-term... on: April 03, 2008, 02:39:40 AM
I've thought about using .ws as a fundraiser for my veterans' charity (VetFund.com) that will help wounded Iraq and Afghanistan veterans to retrain for new careers.  It is a way that people inside of GDI can support these wounded warriors, too, but I would also promote .ws products to people outside the company as a way to promote their personal (web profile) sites or business sites, too.

If you and your team would be interested in helping veterans through the GDI program, please send me a PM.

I'm not sure I could sell .ws as a fundraiser to other non-profits, but I think it could work for my company's long term financing needs.

6  .WS Business / Marketing / .ws and Charity Fundraising on: March 22, 2008, 03:16:59 PM
I have an idea to raise money for my Iraq veterans charity, and I wonder what ya'll think.  I would sell .ws packages (web address, website, e-mail, forwarding, etc), and the proceeds would go to the charity.  Participants in fundraiser could use the products however they wish, but my selling point would be for them to point the address at their online, personal profile (like I have RickAllison.info pointed at my MySpace profile).

I was going to do this through Network Solutions or GoDaddy.com, but there is no residual revenue from doing that.  I would only get a small commission off of the first sale, and that would not serve to finane the veterans charity each month in the long term.

Another question: do we all have just one .ws website, or is there more than one

Please respond directly to me as well as here on the message board.

7  .WS Services / WebSite Development / Re: HTML Questions? Ask Here! on: July 12, 2007, 11:39:34 PM
Nicole, I've built a lot of websites and written a lot of HTML in my time, and I couldn't copy and paste any HTML into GetASite.ws, at all, regardless of where the HTML came from.  I couldn't write it, either.  What am I doing wrong?  I wonder if the images (like banners from Linkshare or Commission Junction) don't show until after I publish.

Also, how do I position the building blocks?  I want a two column site but to be able to put single blocks on top or bottom.
8  .WS/GDI Discussion / New Member? / Howdy Everyone! I'm So Excited To Be Here! on: June 24, 2007, 04:48:05 AM
I am so excited to be here, I'm almost speechless. I've just purchased two sites.ws and I can wait to start selling GDI products and services.

After my Christian .com business failed, I launched a charity to help veterans wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan to retrain for new careers.  All of that experience and and getting a marketing management degree with the help of the VA (I'm a disabled vet, too) started me to thinking about launching an Internet consulting business, myself.

I look forward to meeting more of you and becoming good friends for years to come.

Live long and prosper,
