17  .WS/GDI Discussion / General Comments / Re: I got my first signup woohoo!! on: May 13, 2010, 12:43:30 PM
The first sign up is critical, it proves the system works.

You then need to work out how to scale the process. You need to think of automatic methods. If it took you 10 hours to get 1 sign up this will not scale if you plan to get 100 per month. This is why your WS site is critical. You need to get the sales message right, then you focus on traffic. This scales well and you can get more signups with the same level of work!

1. The sales pitch on your site must be clear and simple
2. The traffic to your site must be good. Aim for 100 to 200 unique visitors per day
3. Get the traffic from free sources, not paid adverts

Happy Selling,

David

I want to get an idea of what keywords you think people would type into search engines for various aspects of GDI and online business. I will start the ball rolling, can you reply with the same format so it makes it easy for other people to share the suggestions:

Keywords for people looking to make money online
earn online, website income, working from home

Keywords for people with GDI accounts looking for advice
win with GDI, GDI help, GDI support, GDI ideas

19  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: Tax Advantages Of A Home Business! on: March 25, 2010, 12:37:37 PM
In the UK will have to pay a percetage of your $1 for each sale to the tax man. If you don't have a "real" company then you will have to do it via self assesment. So you will pay between 23% and 40% of your $1 to the tax man.

If you set up a company then you can be more tax efficient, however I would not suggest an LLP or you will be at the normal tax level. If you make a LTD (limited company) you can store your earnings until you need then and only pay coporation tax which is about 21%. Then you can buy computers and hardware on your company before you pay tax.

So for example, if you are a 40% UK tax payer and buy a laptop it may cost you £1000. If you have a LTD company and buy with your profits before tax it will have an effective costs of £600. You can then make people share holders and pay them dividends. If you have a wife or husband who doesn't work then you could pay no extra tax on money you take out.

When you start to make serious money you need

1. A company
2. An accountant

With out these you could be breaking the law if you don't claim your earnings.

20  .WS Business / Marketing / Re: If you have $100 a month ad budget to promote GDI, what would you do? on: March 24, 2010, 05:31:13 AM
I would save the $100 each month as free adverts are the best! Here is list of free suggestions:

Tell your friends: I'm sure you can think of a few friends who would be prepared to join you on this venture. Send them a link to your OWN sales page and explain in person all about the system. Let's aim to get 1 friend to join you.

Facebook / Myspace: If you use one of these you have access to 100s of people. Make a bulletin or post about your new website. Facebook will also let you make fan pages for websites. So you can become a fan of your own site and ask your friends to become a fan. This is the clever bit! When they become a fan it's listed on their updates and all their friends will see your page. Again, let's aim to get 1 person to join from Facebook or Myspace activity.

Video websites: Youtube and other videos sites are a great place to promote your site. Make a short video telling people about your site and how they could join you. Remember to show your website link in the video. Don't just use Youtube. When you have your video you can upload it to many video sites like, veoh, metacafe, dailymotion etc. Let's aim to get 2 people to join from video promotion.

Free websites: There are lots of companies that offer free websites. All you need to do is either write your sales message again or use the advert space to link to your own sales page. It may take a bit of time for these to work their way into Google™ so let's assume we will get 1 person to join from here within the first 30 days. Here are 5 system that provide free sites:

www.pseudotube.com - free video site
www.squidoo.com - free article site
www.blogger.com - free blog site
www.synthasite.com - free general site
www.glogster.com - free poster site

Email signatures: If you use email every day then make sure you list your website in your signature file. This way every email you send will have your information. If your friends send you joke emails make sure you forward them to everyone you know with your signature included. You will be amazed how far some of these emails spread. Expect to get another 1 person to join from this.

Other webmasters: Make contact with small to medium sized websites. Tell the webmaster about your site. Most sites will have large mailing lists. If you can get the webmaster to sign up and then send a message to a few 1000 people you will have a great second level commission. Work on getting 2 people to join via this method.

Forums: Some forums will allow you to have a link to your website in your signature file. This is a great way to get people to see your site. You should only do this on forums that allow links as spamming messages is not suggested. Find some of the biggest forums and get involved. Aim to generate 1 person to join from forum activity.

Social bookmarks: There are only two sites you need to work with. Post a story about your site on digg.com and stumbleupon.com. This will generate you 100s of visitors within a few hours. This traffic soon dries up but it should get you 1 more person to join.

21  .WS Business / Marketing / Re: Promote offline by advertise on newspaper ? on: March 24, 2010, 05:31:13 AM
Get your sales message right. Get in wrong and you will get a low conversion rate. Make a draft advert and then show it to people and get their views. Try not to show it to friends as they will not give you an honest answer. Also make sure you webpage is good, it has to look first class to get people to part with their money. People will expect a scam so don't let them think that. Quality, quality and quality!

Good Luck,

David

If you are looking to create a website, you must make the correct changes as well!

This is always the hard bit. Remeber the following when you design your site.

1. Quality: Your site has to look good, no one will invest with you if it looks home made
2. Sales: Make sure your sales message is very powerful
3. Traffic: You will need tracking stats and 100 to 500 people a day (minimum)

23  .WS Business / Marketing / Team work: This idea could change your GDI experience! on: March 17, 2010, 03:04:16 AM
Hi there,

I had another new idea this week for GDI. I passed this on to my downline, for them all to try. The idea is to sell the concept of team work. Tell people to join GDI with 4 friends and for them all to sign up under each other. Then the 5 people in total focus on friend number 4 and only use his or her details for telling other people. This means 5 people are working 1 account, each person only needs 2 signups via friend 4 and everyone breaks even. It has the following advantages:

1. It's 5 times quicker to cover your costs
2. You get a stable downline as their is no reason for anyone to leave
3. Working in a team is much better than on your own

What do you think? Please comment and let me know how it works for you.

Regards,

David
24  .WS Business / Marketing / Re: Flyer Posting on: December 07, 2009, 04:19:03 AM
In the UK you cannot stick posters on buildings you do not own. Put the practice of flyers on cars is quite normal. However I don't know what your hit rate will be.

In the past I have marketed my own business via various media. If you have a web business then I think you need to advertise on the net. The conversion of some one taking the flyer, then switching on a computer, then visiting, then joining is too hard. If they are on the computer already you are half way there! And you know they use computers.

If you want to go for cars and you have a nice car then get a sticker set for your car. But ONLY do this if you have a high quality sports car. Imagine having "I bought this Lambo with my website" on your Lambo then you will get visitors! People will visit, they want to know how you made your money. If you stick it on a family car you just look desperate.

Hello I am new to all of this and at the bottom of your post you say if we need help maybe you can help, Well I need all the help I can get. I am new to all of this and any help you can giv me is appreciated. I don't whereto start.

Just send me a private message if you need help. I have written a PDF sales guide to GDI that explains in detail how I have built my downline. I'm happy to supply you with this for free.
26  .WS Services / Showcase Your Website / Re: How to use PHP and MYSQL with BASIC hosting on: August 11, 2009, 03:36:54 AM
Wordpress will need PHP and MYSQL on the server so this will not be possible with GDI BASIC hosting. I assume you are asking as you wish to make a BLOG style site. If you are going to blog about GDI then you can do this with the standard hosting. There would be no reason to have 1 post per day. Focus on a max of 20 high quality posts about the GDI system. A 20 page site will get indexed well in Google and if you have great content you should get about 30 to 50 visitors per day.
27  .WS Services / Showcase Your Website / Re: How to use PHP and MYSQL with BASIC hosting on: July 21, 2009, 12:59:14 PM
Try this for example, this will show a GDI calculator I wrote on a page. Of course you will have to write your own as this also includes advert income and product sales. But if you cut and paste this code, save the file as test.html you will see the calculator. You can try this on your desktop, you do not need to upload it.

<html>
<body>
Here is a title and some text, below is the IFRAME
<p>
<iframe width=850 height=200 src=http://pubtricks.com/gdicalc.php frameborder=0 marginwidth=0 marginheight=0>
</iframe>
<p>
Here is some more text at the bottom of the page
</body>
</html>

If you try this code you will see how you can use standard HTML at the top and bottom and advanced PHP code in the middle via IFRAMES to another server. I hope this makes sense and you can use this information to make a more interactive WS sites.
28  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: Struggling, big time. on: July 16, 2009, 12:53:57 PM
It works for me. I have 26 in my downline after 6 months, in total there has been 40+. I think it is quite normal to loose people on the way, you just have to plan for that. You need to make sure each person breaks even within a couple of months then they are not going to leave. I provide them with a website that I have pre-built that offers the following:

A sale of a product
Advert space
A great GDI sales pitch

With 3 income streams it is easy to break even and this will ensure people stay. For example, 1 google adsense click per day will cover the costs. Or 1 product sale a week will cover the costs. Even if someone is only making $1 profit they have no reason to quit.

So in conclusion it is all about the system and package you offer your downline.

Hi guys,

Here is a tip. If you want to use PHP and MYSQL for your site then use IFRAMES into the GDI basic hosting. I use this to show my own GDI calculator on the pages I give to my downline. It works well for 2 reasons:

1. You can show the earns potential right away
2. You can offer your downline something better

I have been a member for 5 or 6 months and I had 7 sign ups last week, so things are really starting to build up. Stick with it and keep pushing hard.

Hi guys,

In the past 24 hours my downline has started to grow like crazy. My downline are getting more sign ups than ever. I have had 8 new accounts in the past 12 hours. Is this just me or have you see a massive boost?

I'm totally stoked about this and I cannot get away from my email to see if I have any more!

Cheers,

David
