Not sure if  100MB is enough for a blog, but should be worth a try.

100MB is TONNES for a blog.  Bear in mind that blogs are mostly text, including HTML code (more text).  If there are images, they are reused on every page.  This means *very* little space.  My first website had about 30 pages and dozens of images.. and it all fit on a 1.44 MB 3¼" floppy disk.  Smiley

It will take you a very long time to make a blog fill up 100MB of space.

Well, loading flash movies or animations into a site doesn't require any server support in the background, like php would.  You should be able to upload the .swf file, and embed it using an embed tag in the html of the page where you want it to show up.  It is then the responsibility of the user visiting your site to ensure they have Macromedia Flash Player and Macromedia Shockwave player in order to be able to view your site, but support for Macromedia is provided for all web browsers and operating systems, as the site mentioned to you.

If you want to test it, find a .swf file that you can download, and then upload it to the .ws domain server, include the embed source, and see if it works.

If it does, you have your answer.  If you need help on how to do this, let me know.  Smiley

I'm very familiar with FTP programs, HTML and web publishing on the whole.  Just for now, I quickly (okay, it took a couple hours, but that's HTML for you) typed up an index in notepad and used LeechFTP (free FTP program) to upload it to my site, www.czed.ws

Now, I do not see an update yet, only an "under construction" when I access the main page, and a black page if I type in www.czed.ws/index.html

When I go back into the FTP and view the file that I uploaded, it is correct.  Now, I've used other sites where there is a delay from the time you upload to the time you see it because there is a back-end translation that happens so that the changes take effect.  Is there a similar system in place for this site, which is why the changes do not occur right away?  Also, what is the average time for an update to take place?

From what I've read so far, it could take hours...

I'm from Ontario near Niagara Falls.  Smiley  Glad to be here and have a domain set up and hosted for only $10! Cheesy

For now I just have my auto-surf sites and GDI mentioned on there, but it will one day be the site for my internet radio station podcast.  Keep an eye out for it!
