Thank you, Doug!! You made a very good point about some not knowing where to find the GDI Forum.

I always send new members in my team a letter encouraging them to explore their back office thoroughly at the very beginning.  It is so important they understand their own office before anything else. In that letter I actually list the catagories in order so they can check each one off as they go through.

Building a physical team is what I am after as well. That is why I am focusing more effort in marketing in my community.

Here is my short term vision: Picture this!
I am hosting a meeting in my home for local members in my team. Outside is a sign in my yard  with balloons and streamers.  The sign reads, "Welcome to the .WS Conference Meeting".

Inside, members will be sharing ideas and progress.  I will also have a live conference call set up so we can meet other members on line as well.  Everyone gets in on the action and excitement.  We enjoy some mini sandwiches, chips, and dessert.

Now, here is my long range vision:  Picture this!

I have a conference room reserved at a hotel.  The hotel has posted a sign outside their building welcoming .WS members.  Inside the conference room, members are coming in from other counties and state.  Everyone shares tips, progress and cheers!! I call Chip Snyder and say, "Listen to all the excitement going on here, Chip!"  (Yes, I would actually do this!) I would take pictures to add to my website and promotional material.

Now, my final vision: Picture this!

Members are coming together at a nice recreation area where they have reserved hotel accommendations. People are flying in from other nations as well. Yes, Chip Snyder, Marvin Drobes and other top leaders will be there also!!  Fun, excitement, and many cheers in all direction. I would have a professional photographer on hand to take pictures so I could put them in the newspaper.

We all relax and enjoy a meal together before leaving while focusing on an even larger conference meeting the next time!!

What is your vision?

All my best,
Norma  Shocked

Good idea! Has anyone on here tried sending out post cards? I would love to see some designs for post cards on the forum. Does anyone out there have any you could share with us?

All my best,

I wonder how teachers would feel getting a website with a business opportunity as a Christmas present. When my four children were in school I always purchased gifts for the teachers both at Christmas and at the end of school term. ( No, I didn't give apples!! My kids would have eaten them on the way.)

I would think that word of mouth would go a long way when that teacher shared the unique gift with fellow alumni and family members. What do you think?

75  .WS/GDI Discussion / General Comments / Re: A downline quit, now their downline is un-contactable by me! on: August 07, 2005, 12:22:27 AM
Steve, I refuse to get down and dirty over any matter but I will offer my $1.00 worth here. People quit or do not become active for so many different reasons that it would take a novel to list them all.  Some just don't capture the whole picture of this great business opportunity no matter what we do. Plain and simple!!

Others want to make it rich without taking the measures to instill it.  Some just don't have the patience to stick with it long enough to see results.  Still, others are too easily swayed by other business opportunites and they leave one behind and go chase another. I call these people dream chasers but that's all they usually do. They wear themselves out chasing instead of staying put and working any business long enough to succeed.

I have always said that if the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence it is probably artifical turf.  Instead, I believe in staying put and keep tending what I already have.

So, although there are many, many reasons for members opting out we shouldn't let that stop us from moving forward. More members will join and some will stay for the long term. Let's all hold to the positive and keep the door locked against anything negative.

All my best,
Norma  Shocked
