Hi Stephen!

In the last GDI webinar, or perhaps the one before that, Bart said that on average so far each person has received about 6 new members.  Now, keep in mind that's not the total amount of leads people get, just about how many convert to actual members.

Personally, I received more and I know some have received less.  I think it really depends on the day that you are chosen and how quickly you act to contact each person that requests information.  I find that Fridays and Saturdays are the least productive for me and my marketing methods, while holidays are definitely the best.  So, I would imagine that the lottery will be about the same.

Pretty exciting though!  Looking forward to seeing your name up there soon.  Smiley

Hi my name is Claritza and I'm very new at this. I've been looking at different alternatives to getting leads. I was thinking about buying 10 leads through GDI, and am wondering; if I buy leads do my leads qualify me so that I can get the "$100 for each 5 people I get in"? Or is it only for leads I find on my own?

thanks!

Hi Claritza!  Yes, those leads will qualify you for the bonuses if they go through their trial and pay for their first month with GDI.  There are only 2 instances where this is not the case.  1) GDI members you get from being a premium member and 2) GDI members that your sponsor places under you.

Hello!
Thanks for your reply!
What is your experience with GDI? How long have you registered and how many people you have in your downline?
Which tools you use to collect these?

By the way, I put this question to all forum members, since it may be useful to everyone.

Thanks again,

Joseph

Hey Joseph!  Thanks for the question and thank you for posing it to all the members who visit the forums.  We might not be in the same downline, but we are all still part of a team.  By helping each other, ultimately, we help ourselves.

Now, your first question.  This is one myself, and I'm sure many others, get on a day to day basis.  However, it is a question I never answer.  Because, if a person bases their success on what you have accomplished they may find themselves sorely disappointed.  When on the phone this is how I handle that question:

"Vincent, how much money do you make with GDI?"

"That's a great question, So-And-So, but let me ask you a question first.  How much of my money can you spend?"

"I can't spend ANY of your money, Vincent."

"Exactly.  So, the question here is not how much money I personally make, but how much money YOU can make.  And I can't answer that question for you.  Only you can determine how much energy and work you will put into this business.  Only you can decide if you are willing to send out invitations and take action to build this business.  So, are you the kind of person that will take action and do whatever you can to build an income for the rest of your life?"

"Absolutely.  I'm going to work hard and build this business in any way that I can."

"Great!  Let's go ahead and get you started.  Are you at your computer?  Go here, now fill out this form....."

You definitely don't want to let anyone base their success on you.  It's their decision what they will do to make it happen.

Now for the second part.  Which tools do I personally use to grow my business.

This is a fun question.  Because GDI has permeated every part of my life.  There are a few stores that have my business cards on display.  Some of them do it for free, some of them charge me a little money to keep them on their counter.

I leave cards and flyers everywhere I go.  Each morning when I buy a paper I slide a flyer into all the other papers in the machine.  So, when someone else buys a paper they are getting my flyer.  After I pump gas I slide my business card into the credit card slot so if someone wants to use their credit card, they have to take my card first.  With my tip at a restaurant I always leave a card.  I place my cards in junk mail that I receive and send it right back to the company.

One of my favorite question to ask people I meet is, "What do you do for a living?"  Because 99% of the people, after telling you what they do, will ask what YOU do.  That's when you say something like, "I show people how to make an extra paycheck every month."  Do you think they will then ask, "How does that work?"  They sure do!  That's when you say, go to my website and watch this video.  And I leave it at that.  No selling, just inviting them to check it out.  Most people do.

Classified ads are great.  BUT, one or two just don't cut it.  I make it a goal to post one classified on many sites every single day.  Eventually you will have hundreds and hundreds of ads floating out there and you will find your hit log FULL of visitors and your email FULL of people that viewed the presentation.

One of my favorite ways, though, is using emails.  I have a series of lead capture pages that offers free training to anyone in the internet marketing field.  And through it I offer generic training so they can build any business.  But each email is sent out using my GDI email address, and every once and awhile I invite them to check out GDI.  As they begin to look forward to your emails and view you as a resource to help them, they will seriously start to consider GDI.  There are even people who call and ask to join before they even know who I am with.

There are so many ways and I'm excited to hear what other people do.  The big trick is to get GDI in front of as many people as possible every single day.  And get creative!  Include GDI in everything you do.  You don't have to push or be an expert in the field.  That's what makes GDI so great.  It's a business anyone can make huge advances in, if only they make a habit of including GDI in their day to day lives.

I hope this helps and gives you a few ideas.  Smiley

Hi Shawn,

My reply might be a little blunt, but please don't take it harshly.  We are all here to help one another.

It's sad when people claim that this company or that company are a fizzle or are too crowded.  Because, there are too many other people seeing tremendous success to say that.  Our success does not depend on a company or anyone else, it depends 100% on ourselves.  Blaming others for our circumstances is a "broke mindset" and will keep you from seeing success in anything that you do.

Now, I know you have worked hard.  That's obvious.  But, I want you to work a little harder.  For instance, you say 5 people on your team came from Craigslist.  How many ads did you post?  How many days in a row did you post?  How many other classified ad sites did you post on?  To really make classified ad sites work you need to post on as many as you can find, and post at least one ad per day on each site.  Remember, massive action = massive results.  A little action = a little result.

Also, you've tried some techniques.  Actually, it sounds like you've tried many.  Did you master them?  Here is what I mean.  A big mistake many of us make (and I say us because I was there too, we all were) is that we diffuse our results by trying too many things.  We do not master anything.  This leads us to taking a little action in a lot of things.  You might think that means you have taken massive action, but it does not.  We all (yes, me too) need to focus.  Laser focus.  Super focus!

If you want to see results in a marketing method, then you need to MASTER that method.  That means getting training.  And not just training from guys like me.  I mean those that have been around for decades.  Those that have built HUGE incomes and those that are willing to teach you without just leading you down a buying trail.  It's sad, but most "mentors" have one thing on their mind...to get you to buy more.  But that does not mean they do not exist.  Just, with most you have to PROVE that you are worth mentoring or else, they simply won't waste their time.

And don't quit!  Seriously, there is one way to fail and only one.  That is to quit.  I personally know people who are currently making 6-7 figures a MONTH.  But do you want to know something?  Each of them struggled for YEARS.  They put in their time.  They didn't sleep.  They worked their butts off.  And they learned every single day.  And they are STILL learning.  They are STILL training.

Here's another little secret.  Most of what they do fails completely.  But they don't let that stop them.  Because they know that all these failures mean something.  They learn from them and they keep moving forward.  Looking for that winning shot.

99% of the people in their downlines are complete duds.  They give up, they don't take action, they don't follow directions...they are just duds.  But you don't sound like a dud.  The 1% are the ones that really take action.  The 1% refuse to blame others for their life.  The 1% end up being monster recruiters and end up making them TONS of money.

Can I turn this around for you?  No, absolutely not.  But, I DO know someone that can.  His name is Shawn Kitterman.  Now, I don't know you Shawn, but I hear your frustration.  And I know you've worked really hard.  That's great, that means you are getting close.  But now it's time to step it up.

Focus on just one or two methods.  Master those methods.  Train yourself every day.  Eat up every piece of training material you can, pull out what is actually useful and then take action on it.  We already talked about classified ads.  You mentioned Google.  I'm going to assume you mean SEO and not PPC.  If this is the case then get on the top of Google for 25 or more keywords and stay there.  THEN you might be able to say it doesn't work.

Call every lead that leaves a phone number (and also learn how to talk to people on the phone.  How to get yes answers.  How to position yourself as an expert in their eyes.)  If they don't leave a phone number, write them an email.  You can't force someone to do something, but you can convert most of those leads to team members with some training and know how.  Most people that leave their number or ask for more information want something.  You have to find out what it is and show them how GDI is the thing they are looking for.  More importantly, how YOU are the person they are looking for.

$10 a month is not a lot of money.  I bet you spend a lot more than that per month on things you don't need.  This is a chance to turn that $10 into something real.  Something amazing.  Something your family will benefit from.  Something that will make your friends go, "Dude, what the *****!"

Did you know that there are hundreds of thousands of people seeking a home based business every single week?  Hundreds of THOUSANDS (the actual statistics escape me right now).  The money that can be made has NOT already been made.  Lots of money has been made, sure.  But there is too much more out there to think that.  There are too many people that need a plan B, there are too many companies that need an easy to build website, their are too many people graduating (or graduated) that would love to have a website as a gift from their parents or grandparents, there are too many organizations that could benefit from GDI as a fund raiser to make that mistake.

This is not all fluff, this is truth.  YOU have the power to make it work.  How?  I don't really know.  Only you can answer that.  But I've seen too many people succeed, I've made too much money and I've known a lot of people that go from broke to no-joke!  If they can all do it, certainly you can do it.

You need to change up your game plan.  That is obvious.  But don't settle for I can't make this happen.  You can.  And if you want to cuss a little, go ahead!  We all know what it's like.  But don't stop.  Make it happen.  And when you do, teach others how you did it.

I know it's not what you were looking for.  However, I hope you did get something out of my ramble.

Whatever you decide to do, we wish you all the best!

No, you don't need to remove that page.  It's the actual sign-up page and nobody will see it unless they press the sign-up button.  At that point the rules for the website no longer apply and your page will still be accepted by the advertising site.

I really can't answer if traffic exchanges are worth the cash as far as the GDI affiliate pages are concerned.  Based on experience and what others report, this is not a good way to use traffic exchanges.  The best use for those types of sites would be to build your list or advertise something that will help them.

You might want to take a look at a previous post found at http://talk.ws/index.php?topic=13595.0

Hope this helps.  Let us know how that advertising site works for you.  Smiley

Hi Barbara,

Instead of giving you a classified ad example, how about we just talk a little about how to write classified ads and what to do in order to make them work?  Sound good?

OK.  Have you heard of the acronym formula for writing good ads?  A.I.D.A. which stands for Attention, Interest, Desire and Action.  Let's take a look at each of these in turn.

Attention - This is basically the title or headline of the ad.  Because, naturally nobody will read the ad itself if it doesn't grab their attention.  But how do we do that?  By speaking directly to the people you want to target.  "Best Home Based Business!" of course is not going to grab anyone's attention and is not directly speaking to anyone.  If you browse through classified ad sites you will see a ton of these.  Now, keep in mind I'm not saying this absolutely WON'T grab anyone's attention.  But they will be few and far between IF they happen to see yours before another person's ad.

So, instead of that let's think about who will be looking for your ad.  (Lots of people are, we just need to grab their attention.)  What are they looking for?  Are they suffering in some kind of way?  Are they looking for something better?  What drives and motivates them?  Once you come up with an answer, you can then write a title that will grab them.

Some examples might be, "Tired Of Being On Unemployment?", "Need An Extra Paycheck Every Month?", "Make An Extra Paycheck Every Month", "Tired Of Your J.O.B. And Looking For A Plan B?" or even "Interested In Starting A Home Based Business?"  What these headlines are doing is singling out certain people and grabbing their attention.  Most of these are actually looking for a yes answer from the person browsing the ads.  If the person looking through the ad site is on unemployment the first question will almost definitely get a yes answer from them.  Also, they are focusing on one type of person such as people on unemployment, people needing extra money, people that are tired of working for someone else and people already interested in a home based business.

Interest - This one can apply to both the headline and the body of the ad.  "Tired Of Being On Unemployment?  Imagine being able to make more than you did at your full time job, yet only work part time!"  Again, we are still talking directly to the person we are targeting.  Many people make the mistake of talking about the company.  Now, I know GDI is great, but NOBODY is on a classified ad looking for information on GDI.  In fact, nobody really cares about the company itself, not at first.  What they care about is themselves, their own problems, their own desires and their own needs.

Desire - This one can be done in quite a few ways.  Don't give them ANY information but make them want it.  For instance, "Tired Of Being On Unemployment?  Imagine being able to make more than you did at your full time job, yet only work part time!  You're closer than you might think.  Right now you could fire unemployment and live financially free for the rest of your life."  Again, we are still talking directly to ONE person and we are getting them to imagine some things.

Because, over 85% of people do not think logically.  It's proven that most people think with their hearts.  Most people's actions are driven by emotions, by desire and by what they feel.  If you can make them feel good about an idea, or make them imagine what it would be like you are speaking to most people.  Right now we are not trying to feed them information.  They will get that through the movies and website we will next lead them to.  Right now the goal is to make them want to take a look.

Action - This is close to the most important part of the ad.  Many people want to be told what to do, and the rest just won't know what to do unless you direct them.  It's the same as when you speak to a person that filled out the form on your GDI page.  The letter that GDI sends you says don't be afraid to ask them to take the 7 day trial starting today.  You need to give them direction.  So, we might end up with something like this:  "Tired Of Being On Unemployment?  Imagine being able to make more than you did at your full time job, yet only work part time!  You're closer than you might think.  Right now you could fire unemployment and live financially free for the rest of your life.  Click HERE To Watch A Short Presentation And Discover How You Can Start For Free!"  Or you could have a person call you (these would be great people to have because you know they are not afraid to take action and will most likely be great downline members).  Whatever you do, you must TELL them exactly what they need to do next.

So, our end product looks something like this:

Tired Of Being On Unemployment?

Imagine being able to make more than you did at your full time job, yet only work part time!

You're closer than you might think...

Right now you could fire unemployment and live financially free for the rest of your life.

That last line would be a link.  If you can't make a link on the site you could use your website such as "Discover How By Visiting [YOURGDIWEBSITE] Today!"

Alright, now on to a few "tricks".  There are certain words that have been shown to create responses and elicit emotions from people.  Words like Discover, Guaranteed, Free, Brand New, She...  There are many such words.  One book I would highly recommend taking a look at is Hypnotic Writing by Joe Vitale (get the latest version).  It costs less than $10 at most places and will give you a large list of words like this.

If you can, quotes are a great thing to use.  People are drawn to quotes.  It's a psychological thing.  We rarely doubt something that's in quotes.  Also, you can put in a P.S. statement or a By The Way statement.  It's shown that when people read letters, that's the first thing they read.

And finally, one more and perhaps the most important thing.  MOST of the classified ads you write will not work.  Period.  But that's OK.  You're going to learn from these ads, you'll see which ones do the best and you will be able to adjust.  But if you put out at least one ad per day on multiple classified ad sites you will get results.

There is a quote by Michael Jordan that I absolutely love.  It goes, "I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career...  I've lost almost 300 games...  26 times I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed...  I've failed over and over again in my life...  And that is why I succeed."  The same thing applies to classified ads, videos, articles, flyers...you name it.  The winning shots make the missed ones well worth it!

I hope this helps (though I know it was not exactly what you were looking for).

Best wishes,

Vincent Parker

By the way, in the above we talked about the income opportunity.  But, the same thing applies to writing about the product too.  Just remember to speak to one person and talk about them only (they don't care about you, me or GDI....at least not yet  Wink )

Hi TCaldwell!

I am not very familiar with that website.  However, taking a look at it, the rules are much the same as they are for traffic exchanges.

It would be safe to add any of the affiliate pages from GDI, except for the sign up page itself as it does have an exit "pop-up", in that you have to click "OK" to exit the page.  But, all of the other pages are safe.  They contain no pop-ups, and they do not break frames.

I hope this helps.  If you have more questions please ask away because, really, the only stupid question is one that is not asked.  We all have to start somewhere, and it would be a crime not to use everyone's knowledge to your advantage.  Smiley

Have a good day and good luck!  I hope it works great for you!

Hi Jose!  It's great to hear from you!

I personally do not buy leads or use any form of pay per click advertising.  However, I do know that many people have had tremendous success using both.

Here are my opinions on both, but take it with a grain of salt as again I do not use either method.

Pay per click can become quite expensive if you do not know what you are doing.  There are several great courses on using pay per click effectively.  Two people I would recommend would be Perry Marshal and Mike Dillard.  Both have amazing courses on using pay per click.

Buying leads, as you have read, can be a dangerous proposition.  You have probably already read the dangers that come with doing this.  For instance, buying leads that are very old or even buying ones that no longer exist.  However, if I were to buy leads my personal choice would be the leads that GDI offers through your back office.  Again, I have no experience in this but in dealing with GDI for quite a few years this would be one place I would not hesitate to place my trust.

So, those are my opinions.  I hope they helped a little.  Perhaps soon someone with more experience can speak more openly and give better advice.

Here's To YOUR Success!

Hello Mike!  Welcome to GDI!  And sunny south Florida!  Keep cool down there!  Smiley

You are right, GDI has tremendous potential for people all over the world.  And that potential increases every single day as the internet becomes an integral part of virtually all people's daily lives.  It truly is exciting.

So, here is my pointer for the day.  Aside from the usefulness and pricing of a companies products, success in any venture depends on one thing.  The actions YOU take on a day to day basis.  That truly is the "magic pill" many people seem to so desperately be seeking.

Make it a point to introduce GDI to as many people as possible on a daily basis.  There are many ways to do this, but the key to every one is taking daily action.

GDI offers several ways to help you in this process.  One you have already found by being here on the forum, another is the GDI webinars.  Aside from Tim's singing and Bart's insistence that he looks better in leather, you can learn a lot from these webinars.  Stay until the very end, as that is where you get to hear the affiliate council speak directly about how to create success and you will have the opportunity to ask questions and get the answers right away.

Again, it's great to see you here.  We wish you all the success you can handle and more.

Best wishes,

Vincent Parker

Hello KeremErkisi!

First and foremost, Welcome To GDI!  We're happy to have you on board!

Now, to answer your questions.  When you first create a domain it is set to show one of the GDI affiliate pages.  You can change this very easily, and you can also pick another page if you want it to show an affiliate page.

Go to your back office located at http://website.ws/members and find the link that says "Domains".  This will show you all the domains that you own.  Find "searchmate.ws" and right beside it click on "Change DNS".  From here you can change what you want displayed, whether you want it forwarded to another website or use the site builder or whatever you want.

Now, if you want to keep the affiliate page but would rather use another one go back to the back office main page.  Click on "My Replicated Sites" and here you can choose whichever site you want displayed.

On to the .ws email!

In your back office on the left hand side menu click on "Setup Your Email".  Here you can create a new mailbox address, as well as some other email features.  You will be given a temporary password for your new email, but once you log in you will be asked to immediately change it.

Hope this helps!

Hi Patrick,

In order to answer your question here are some things for you to consider.

1) Who uses Traffic Exchanges?

2) What are they looking for?

More than not people using traffic exchanges are ALREADY in a business of their own.  They are using traffic exchanges to build traffic to THEIR business or THEIR products.

So, what would they be looking for?  Something to help build THEIR business or build traffic to THEIR websites.

Based on that not many people on traffic exchanges would be willing to look at Global Domains International while they are surfing.  And the fact is, they have probably already seen a GDI affiliate page multiple times while surfing.

But all is not lost.  The best thing to do is use what many call "Attraction Marketing".  What does this mean?  It means finding a way to attract those people to you and ultimately to your business.

So, how can you attract people to you?  By giving them what they want or need.  And then on the back end introducing GDI as a solution.

For instance, instead of promoting GDI directly how about proposing an easy way for them to cloak their affiliate links.  (This is just a quick example, and might not be your best option.)  You could design a splash page (more on splash pages below) that says, "Are You Losing Affiliate Commissions?  If you are not cloaking your links you definitely are.  Fill out your name and email for more information about cloaking your affiliate pages using a web site that YOU control."

Then, send them a few emails talking about why you want to cloak and how you can use the GDI forwarding function to forward their visitors to the page of their choice.  And don't forget to mention how this can passively increase their income as well by being an automatic affiliate of GDI.

That was just one example and you'll have to do some thinking and get creative to create your own.  But the point is this:  People are not on traffic exchanges (mostly) looking for a business opportunity.  They probably already have one or are just trying to do affiliate marketing.  You need to approach those people based on where they already are, and then offer GDI as a solution on the back end.

A little note about splash pages.  You've been surfing for a little while, I would imagine.  And you know that people are only viewing your website for a small amount of time.  A splash page is designed to get their attention and get them to take action quickly.  Without them having to watch a video that's over 8 second long or read a big web page.

Can you get signups just rotating a GDI affiliate page?  You might.  But they will be very far and few between.  Instead, put yourself in their shoes, imagine their needs or problems and then address those.  And offer GDI as a solution.

I really hope this helps.  Good luck out there!

102  .WS Services / WebSite Development / Re: problems with banners on: June 14, 2010, 11:40:52 AM
Hi Dave,

Based on what you said I am going to assume you are using the GDI Site Builder to build your website.

There are two ways to place banners on your website using the site builder.

1) In the "edit page" option of the site builder there is a menu on the left.  Find where it says "Galleries" and then click on GDI Tools.  From here you can simply select the banner, button or movie of your choice and click on "Add".  It will ask you to double click where the banner is to be placed.  Just double click where the banner is to go and there it is!  Nothing else is needed on your part (aside from saving or publishing the page).  It is already coded with your affiliate ID so anyone clicking that banner will be taken to your GDI affiliate page.

2) You can also use a text box (and I think this is where your problem is at).  In the "edit page" section, click on "Text".  Notice, that the box that pops up has three options at the bottom; Design, Source and Preview.  To enter in raw code you need to click on "Source".  From here you can write or paste the banner code you want to use.  Then just click on OK and the banner will be on your webpage.

And that's all there is to it!  I hope this helped.  If this did not make sense I just created a video for you so you can watch me do it using both methods.  Just go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzXpPPsKjZI and watch the video there.

WARNING: This video is just for you and current GDI members.  Please do not send your prospects or leads to this video as it has a link to my GDI website.  And, I wouldn't want to steal a prospect away from you after you worked so hard to get them.

If it wasn't what you were looking for reply to this post and we can go from there.  Smiley

Hi Mark, Mark_T1, Jaime, Kronlage and Vladimir!  Welcome to GDI!  Smiley

I know you're all ready to get started, so let's get into a few things to keep in mind.

First, keep in mind that your best chance of success is to stick with it.  That might sound a little corny but too many people look into this industry thinking it's a short term solution to a long term problem.  Building a business takes time, it takes focus and it takes daily action.  There is no way around that and anyone telling you differently is leading you astray.

However!  GDI is one of the greatest opportunities on the planet, and with some work on your part will be a choice you will be glad you made.

So, let's get into the nitty gritty.  Promotion and marketing!

Be sure to completely explore the GDI back office.  There are several materials and resources available to help you get started.  The Inviter is a great way to begin.  It will do all the talking for you and will allow you to share GDI with your contacts in an easy, no push manner.  The staff at GDI has worked (and is working) hard to make sure that they do everything in their power to introduce this business to your contacts in a way that will make it fun and prosperous for all of you.

Also, the wealth guide is great a great tool in learning how to talk to others and how to introduce it to people more one on one.  Be sure to download it and refer to it from time to time.

Sign up for the GDI webinars too.  This will give you a chance to get tips and advice from the GDI Affiliate Council.  These are people that have proven time and time again that they know how to get things done.  It's a very fun place to be.  The first half is designed for you to invite your new prospects to so they can learn all about Global Domains International, Inc.  The second half is for you, the affiliate.  You will also have the chance to ask questions and get the answers right there.

Browse around these forums.  Lots of questions have been asked and answered.  From time to time you will find people giving advice on marketing, what works for them and what doesn't.  It's a great place to share your experiences too so we can ALL learn from each other.

Now, there are way too many marketing methods to address here.  Everything from classified ads to videos to blogs and articles to face to face marketing.  The best thing you can do is find out what your options are, and pick one or two and then stick to those exclusively.  Remember, focus, consistency and daily action is your key.

And don't be afraid to get creative!  That's a great thing about this industry.  You will be able to attract people that I cannot simply because of the way you think and talk.  Put your personality into it.  This is what will attract people to you that may not be attracted to me.  In other words, they will speak your language and connect with what you are saying.

The goal though, when all is said and done, is to get as many people as possible each and every day to view one of the GDI websites and watch one of the movies.  When you receive an email stating you have a new prospect or you have a missed signup, contact those people right away.  You don't have to do any selling.  Just answer their questions and be personable.  Many people will sell themselves if you just listen and answer their questions.  And never be afraid to ask if they are ready to start their 7 day trial right then and there.

Head to people's websites, read their blogs, read some articles on network marketing, look up videos and soak up all you can.  But be sure to take it slow.  Many people suffer from information overload and that can paralyze you and keep you from taking action.  Keep taking action every day while you learn.  In time and with practice you will become great at what you choose to do.

You were probably looking for more of a step by step approach but that's very hard to do here.  Just be persistent and take action every single day.  You'll soon see why GDI is your key to an "Income For Life".

Hope this helps!  If you have specific questions or need help with something, let us know.  We are all here to help.

And once again...  Welcome To GDI!!!   Grin

Here's To YOUR Success,
