1  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: What are the basic things to do to be successful? on: July 29, 2006, 04:12:30 PM
What ever you do, you need to make it duplicatable.  If you start building websites for your downline, they don't learn how and can't teach their downline.  So I like the idea of giving a simple tutorial and lettling them use it to build a simple website.

As an example, I was struggling for months trying to build a site and then this week, I found an emal from my sponsor that I hadn't read (shame on me).  In it he gave a URL to a simple tutorial that he put together and lo and behold in the last 2 days, I built my website.  It has more than one page, some under construction, but I am pleased and excited again about GDI.

I just bult my website in the last 2 days.  My sponsor, Warren Conteras put out a tutorial on how to do it and it was not hard at all.  it's  http://davefullmer.ws Even though it's not complete, I am excited about being able to accomplish it.
3  .WS Services / WebSite Development / Question about building my site on: August 26, 2005, 08:22:50 PM
Well, it's been 2 weeks since I posted my introduction and I still am trying to figure out how to build my site.  I've been too busy with the J.O.B. (JustOverBroke)

What I've found out is that I have 6 pages on my site.  (Correct me if my conceptions are false).
I went to the Site builder and tried to put together a page of pure text to start with.  I know I don't want that as my home page but I wanted to try something simple.  Ha.  Now I have a page that won't even go back to the origional format. Steve Westfall said something about making a mountain out of this molehill.  What I would like to do is reduce this mountain to a molehill.  I have the feeling that when I get the key, I am going to feel very foolish for making this project so hard.

Can anyone tell me if I am wrong to think that I should be able to copy the source code from another site (not .WS) with the owner's permission and stick it on my site?  I know that some modifications within the source code are necessary.

I am still trying to read all the posts but when I have to be at work at 5:00AM, by the time 10:00 PM comes up I am ready for bed.

I appreciate all the help the folks on the forum give.  It's been my experience that forum people are one special kind of folks.  I have been a member of antique tractor forums for years.

Thanks,
Dave

Hello everyone,

I signed up about 3 weeks ago and didn't do anything because of other pressing priorities.  Now I'm ready to set up website.

After I look over the main site I'll probably have some questions to ask y'all.  I say y'alll because I'm a transplant from the north country and it is just fun trying to get into the local idioms.

What I want to do is put some pages on my site to promote some of my offers.  I have found in the past that figuring out where to start is the key to getting started.  Sounds profound, doesn't it?  But in reality, that has been my biggest problem in other new internet processess.  I'll go look and study and then come back and ask.  Or if anyone has some quick tips feel free to jump in.

Thanks,
Dave
