16  .WS Business / Marketing / Re: Online Marketing vs. Offline Marketing on: December 16, 2005, 12:32:57 PM
Hi Don:

I am just going to say drip marketing.  You can do both online and offline.

I use my GDI site to capture information (I don't buy leads) and I remind my visitors to come and
see the GDI Flash presentation.  If I just tell them once, no one is going to see it.  I keep sending
gentle reminders and this has worked for me.  It is responsible online marketing.

Offline the same principles can be applied.  If you advertise in a inexpensive weekly newspaper once,
you will get little responses.  If you run the same ad for a couple weeks, eventually they will take a
look.

I hope this makes sense.

I am having a blast with this.

All the best,

Alan

Uhhhh!!!!! When I promote GDI I never talk about money much and I also don't tell the prospect any time extension in which they'll earn a fortune. Hmmm if I'm honest I have come here for fun and the thought about earning something was just one more excitement added to whole thing. Well I'm not so serious about all this (as you can see reading my comments), but I never object to something what works for everyone. That DVD surelly will work for all of you ...

And finally. Can you have fun and doing a sirious business at the same time???

Try it! It can't hurt!!! And you have only one life after all!!!

Tatjana

Hi Tatjana:

I am having a lot of fun with this.  I have never had such fun before in
a home-based business.  Unfortunately however you do sometimes
encounter a sad story (like the one I mentioned before).

All the best,

Alan

Instant gratification... it's all the world is looking for now'a'days and that's the wrong way to go about introducing this business to people I think.  If your boss, who's been in the business for years told you to prepare a 45 minute presentation to entice buyers with your company would you tell him (who's been successful in it and knows what it takes) "awww, come on boss, how 'bout I just make a 15 minute one.  They'll get it!??" Undecided  I don't think so.  He'd look at you like you were out your mind.

Hi Michael:

I love your example.  I have downline members who ask about the history of GDI and the need for
the product.  They don't get it

Recently someone (not in my group) joined my mailing list where I do my drip campaigns (I promote
GDI).  A woman responded telling me GDI doesn't work.  She had joined 4 months ago and her
sponsor promised her $10,000 per month after 4 months.  She was upset that she wasn't making
that kind of money yet and I did feel bad for her.  I also felt bad for the rest of us as this type of
story can hurt all of us including GDI.  Word of mouth is powerful, both positively and negatively.

Just my two cents,

Alan

Think of your downline as you would your children.  If you always do everything for them instead of teaching them how to do it themselves, you end up with spoiled kids.  If you give them enough information to help them grow, many will learn and be able teach others what has been taught to them.  GDI is a program for the LONG haul.  We sure hope all of you stick with it! Cool

Excellent post Deb and I really like the analogy.

I too want to echo what Marvin and Frank just posted.  I highly recommend Frank's
suggestion about creating your own leads.  This is what I have been doing and it is
working great.  I am networking, creating my own leads and having fun.

There are two types of people in this business you will encounter.  Those who
make excuses and those who just do it.

Hi Robert:

It is not so much what I say but more the frequency of my e-mails which is every two to three days.

Your e-mails should be short and they should create curiosity so your prospects actually see the flash
presentation.

I try to ask questions in my e-mails such as "What would you do with a couple extra hundred dollars a
month?  Would you take a weekend vacation? Then I point to the Flash presentation.

Let the e-mail message be about the prospect and not how great your opportunity is.  That is the
whole point of the Flash presentation, it does the talking for you.

I hope this helps,

Alan

There are a lot of uninformed people out there who think if they promote their affiliate
link a couple times they will be successful. This is not true as there are many people
out there who are doing the same thing and not making any money.

The truth is whatever you are promoting online; you must build your list and put all
prospects on a drip campaign. I am going to share with you how I build my GDI business
using the drip campaign technique.

FREE is the most powerful word in your advertising campaign.  I constantly advertise
the following FREE benefits of visiting my GDI site.

Submit 12 million Ads for FREE!
1000 FREE Leads per day for Life!
Free Sotfware Free ebooks Live seminars.

As you can see, I have something for everyone, whether you are promoting nutritional
products, movie and books clubs, legal and tax help programs. Something for everyone
and I am giving people a compelling reason WHY to visit my site. I am helping everyone
and at the same time building my e-mail list.

Everything on my site captures information.  I then put each verified person on a drip
campaign. I send an e-mail on a Sunday (first drip) encouraging them to see my GDI
Flash presentation.. 2 days later (drip) another e-mail reminding them again about
the GDI Flash presentation and 2 days later (drip) another one. Sunday and Tuesday
could be bad days to look, but Thursday might just be right. This again is called a drip
campaign. People are busy and don’t always have time to look.  After a while however, a
dripping faucet will cause someone to take note and take action.

By the way, all my messages say very little creating mystery and just encouraging them
to see the personalized Flash presentation.  Many people out there are saying way too
much.  Little is better.

If you have any questions about the above, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Take care,

Alan

Hi Everyone:

Love the new forum.  My website is http://www.LittlePerson.ws

I don't buy leads from anyone, I build my own with GDI and my
site listed above.  GDI will help anyone with their business.
