16  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: pdf hosting on: October 01, 2009, 04:18:52 PM
I've written an ebook in pdf format and I want to host it with my GDI account so that it has a web URL.

Does anybody know how to DO that?  I have practically given up trying.  Someone told me that I need to put it in the 'public_html folder' but I have no idea what that is or how to access it with Filezilla.

Hosting a pdf seems to be one of the great mysteries of all times - at least when it comes to explicit, step-by-step instructions as they simply don't appear to exist anywhere on earth or in cyberspace.

~Rusty

Hi Rusty, all you have to do is upload the file, you can do this via FTP (your filezilla - you just need the login details). For this case you need to choose the Basic Hosting through GDI for your domain name (not site builder). "WebSite.ws' Hosting Service. You can use your own application to build your site and we can host it for you."

You anything on 6th level and so on, you will not get any commissions???

That is true, but if you do have people below your 5th you are doing very well and those extra act as a foundation for those in your 1-5 levels so they will be making money... that's a much more secure monthly income Smiley

Oookay, so I'm just getting started & I've come up with two questions for you & I apologize if they've been answered elsewhere already, I'm anxious to get started.

Question #1: Can I change my existing domain name?
Question #2: At what point would I earn a commission?

Thank you guys!!

Katie

Hi Katie, welcome.

1) Yes you can change it, just add a new domain and then remove the old one.
2) You are paid monthly as long as you have reached your threshold that you set (as low as $10) and provided GDI with the needed documentation.

Good luck!

Darren

I use a marketing system and do very well using Viral List Builders and Traffic Exchanges... BUT the thing is you have to stand out from everyone else. People have seen the GDI pages a million times, you must use something new or create your own page to stand out... then get people on YOUR list and follow up with them.
22  .WS/GDI Discussion / General Comments / Re: Don't Be A Dead Sponsor! on: November 03, 2007, 11:29:56 AM
I also joined under a dead sponsor, who wanted me to join 10 other programs . After alot of trial and error, ( mostly error ) I finally got up and running. The more time you can spend in helping your downline get started, will show much better results. I spent about 15 hours with one of my ladies, and she has earn 2 bonus and has added 38 people to her first level. I have told her that if her people cannot reach her, Let them know they can always call me. I have helped people under her on my 5th level, get started doing direct emailing. Because she did not have time to set up the auto responder, and train them on how to use it.
If you are new to GDI and reading this contact you sponsor. The squeaking wheel gets the oil. I have tried to phone and email my new signups, and there are some I can not get in contact with. Keep in mind that your sponsor is dealing with any where from 20 to 100 people. keep trying to reach them.
Have a Great Day
Tina

Wow, I am impressed with your dedication and leadership, Tina.
You are right to say that our sponsors may be dealing with a large group, so we need to be more forgiving when they don't respond immediately.
One tip to get the attention of your upline is to be a good follower. Most leaders have a set a instructions to get any newbie started,
so if we as downlines are committed to do everything that's expected, then our uplines maybe more willing to help us build the group.
Since they can't be helping everyone in the group, only serious builders.
Another way to keep in touch with uplines is to use YM or Skype, so whenever both parties are online, we can discuss about the business.

Very true.. because that is what I do with my downline.. I give them step-by-step instructions but if they don't follow them then they are wasting both of our time. Following our directions is earning our time to work with you.

I agree.. In a networking business such as this it is VERY important that you keep in touch with your downline and help them out.. you will be much more successful!

I would like to use my own business cards, and came up with two designs.

I would like for others to post their opinions on how they look or how they can be improved.

Marlon, I would recommend using the Business Cards from GDI - they are great quality.

Welcome all new members!  My business partner and I are closing in on our third year with GDI  Grin

We want to encourage all new members that you can succeed with this program!  It does take time, but if you stick with it, you will reap the rewards. If your sponsor hasn't contacted you already, try contacting them to introduce yourself.  Spend a lot of time in your members area (aka back office) so you can learn about the product and the opportunity that you've decided to join. If you've made it here to the forum, then you know there is a wealth of information at the click of your mouse here.  Wink

Your Partner In Success,
Deb

Congrats on three years! I'm almost to two I believe.

Deb is right everyone! GDI does work! Take a look around the forum and get in touch with your sponsor Smiley
