1  .WS Services / WebSite Development / Re: Uploading web pages from Microsoft Frontpage on: October 28, 2005, 10:52:27 AM
I hope this gets through soon because I'm trying to publish my site using Front Page and it's not going through.  I can't get past the login because that keeps popping up, and I know I put in the right information because I've published before.  Is the server down or something?

Thanks Roxanne and Tatjana!

You can get banners directly from the Red Cross website http://www.redcross.org/psa/bannerorder/all/ - that's the direct link where you can choose your banners.

3  .WS Business / Marketing / Does anyone have a Hosting Only Banner? on: August 29, 2005, 12:58:44 PM
All of the banners we have to use are biz op related, so I was wondering if anyone has a 468x60 banner they use that you don't mind sharing that only promotes the hosting option.  I'm not the most creative person, so I would like to be able to use it for my site.  Thanks so much in advance.  And sorry if this is the wrong thread to put this in ... seemed the best fit to me.
4  .WS Business / Marketing / Re: What about snail mail as follow-up? on: August 07, 2005, 08:39:23 PM
Why would I?  Well not all emails get past the spam filters ... if there are a large number of emails not opened, maybe they might actually open an envelope.  I don't know.  Right now I'm very aggravated - I have 10000 leads in limbo basically awaiting delivery since the 2nd . Supposedly they are adding more servers, but I've heard that's been stated before.  I have only been a member for like a week and already seen downtime more than once  Undecided.  I sent out 100 leads through the invite system.  No one has even opened them yet and it's been a couple days.  Seems odd that NONE of them have opened it by now.  I think I would like to try to at least snail mail the locals to give it a more personal touch since my hubby and I would like to build locally.  As far as everyone else ... I don't know.  So basically I guess it wouldn't exactly be a follow-up if they never read the email to begin with.  It would be more like initial contact.  Just trying to think of different ways to make contact to leads when email doesn't seem to work as well.  Or maybe it just seems like that to me considering I'm having some difficulties.

Oh and Amy, I'll have to try and figure out how to do that w/ Excel.  I've actually never really played around w/ that prog much.  I can see how it would come in handy.  And I like the idea of thank you notes.  It just seems more personal to send something like that and not just an email.

Just wondering if there are any other members here from SC.  I live in Mt Pleasant ... anyone else in the Charleston area?

6  .WS Business / Marketing / What about snail mail as follow-up? on: August 07, 2005, 05:18:15 PM
I've seen email and phone calls as follow-ups, but what about snail mail ... especially when you don't have a phone number but you have an address.  I know there are chances that the emails sent to my leads won't be seen b/c of the spam filters and such, so I was thinking since I have mailing addresses maybe I should use them.  Maybe not for all the leads, but at least for some, like the locals I've come across for starters.  What do yall think?  If the mailing address is provided in the lead I can use it right?

I'm not sure if this was mentioned yet or not in this thread (I can't remember where I saw this), but you can host your pics free at www.photobucket.com - they list different variations for you to link your pics - like url, html, and BBC (?) code.  I used them to host the banner for my hubby's site b/c we were having probs w/ it not displaying, and ever since I used the url as the source for the pic it shows fine.

Ok, I really hope that made sense.  I'm so tired right now ... I have no idea lol.  My 2 little guys wore me out today and the day isn't even really over yet!  I might just pass out w/ them when bedtime rolls around lol!

So is it not a good idea to have your spouse sign up under you at all?  I guess I'm missing something ... sorry I'm tired.
