1  .WS Business / Marketing / Re: Does anyone use a blog? on: December 23, 2007, 08:03:39 PM
does anyone know how to publish their blog from blogger.com to dot-ws domain?? I have been searching around the forum but i just cannot find an answer. Please help...anyone?

That may prove harder than you would think. The way that I would suggest that you do it, is just add an RSS link to your web page. This will allow people to subscribe and get the information on their own, and every time you add a new post to your blogger site, it will also update your feed, and they will be notified that the feed has been updated.

Other than that, just link to your blogger page from your website. It is not very easy to make your blogger page show up in your website unless you really know what you are doing. I am a web designer and would be more than happy to help you. PM me if you would like my help. Shocked

Hello everyone~

I just wanted to post this about marketing. People make it so much harder than it is more often than not. One thing that people should do to market your business successfully is just tell them what you do. Everyone that I come into contact with, whether just someone that I walk by and they say hello in a grocery store, to someone that I see that I have not talked to in YEARS and I run into them somewhere. If we exchange words, they get a business card.

It is important that we do this. I am not sure if you are familiar with Jim Rohn, but he says that if you talk to enough people, soon a ratio will appear. This has to do with the law of large numbers. Obviously, the more people that you talk to, the more people you will sign up.

Here is what you can do to become more successful in your marketing/recruiting. Set yourself a MDC. That stands for minimum daily contacts. Make a goal to contact a specific amount of people PER DAY! Mine is 3. That is 90 people per month. If you are talking to 90 people per month, I guarantee that you will start signing people up. The cool thing about this method is, the more comfortable that you get in talking to people, the more people you will start signing up. It is not that hard to come up with a 35% to 40% average. You just need to take this very seriously and BE CONFIDENT!

One thing that you have to do right now is believe! Believe that you have the best product and business opportunity online today! If you stumble over your words, and you are not confident in your products and services, your prospects will see right through you. If you are not confident, then I encourage you to go back through your members area and re-evaluate what you have here. Gain confidence in it, believe that what you have is AWESOME and go out and tell people with confidence that they too will love our products, services and opportunity!

This all ties together with the phone as well. If you have people visiting your website, or you are ordering the phone verified leads from the back office, you NEED to pick up that phone. This world has become so impersonal, and we need to make it personal again. Take a personal interest in your prospects. You do not even have to try and "sell" them, you just have to let them know that there is a real person there to help them should they need it. That is all. Act as though you are a tour guide and they are a tourist. Just guide them through the information and ultimately get them back to your website and let this system sell them. That is why we have this system with that $250,000.00 video! Use that sucker! And if you have a prospect that is on the fence, send them a DVD. Get something in their hands that gives you credibility. One thing I always tell people is, that you do not have to be the expert...that is what the website is for. Just be the nice tour guide who just made sure that their questions were answered, and their needs were met, and that they WATCHED THE MOVIE!!!

I suggest that you tell people that they HAVE to watch the movie. 1, the movie is awesome and will wow them, and 2 it shows them that you have a system that is working. That way when they ask all you will say is, well all I do is send people to this movie, call them and see if they have questions and make sure they watched the movie, sign them up and tell them to do the exact same!

If you have an easy to follow "system" you will become duplicatable and that is the KEY to success with network marketing. You will attract people if they think that they "can do this". If you do things that scare you, chances are it will scare them. People only want to do what is easy, and showing people the movie could not be easier. Start making it a requirement before you work with someone. Tell them that movie is making people a fortune, and that you REQUIRE that people you work with watch it and get to know it, because they are going to use it too, to build THEIR businesses.

I hope that this helps! Just get out there and talk to people, and CALL YOUR LEADS!!! Don't be scared because you don't have to try and "sell" them, just visit and direct them BACK to your website and let IT do the selling! Again I say THAT IS WHAT IT IS HERE FOR. Get yourself out of the way...be a "tour guide".

Happy GDIing!

4  .WS Business / Team Building / Re: Downline retention! on: June 27, 2005, 03:16:07 AM
I somewhat disagree with you Pat. You may stay in touch with your team and that is great. I am not saying that if you stay in touch with your team that you will instantly retain them all, I am saying the % increases. You will NEVER have 100% retention and we know this.

You ask 95% of the people in this business why they are here and I would bet they will say to make money. I know GDI has a great product that people can use, but what really catches people is the money or the "movie" would concentrate on the products and not the pay plan. If people just wanted a good product with e-mail and a free web-site they could use Geocities through Yahoo, but they do not. People are not making fliers and spending money on leads to push a product, they are pushing a pay plan and a future. Like I said before, people don't care about product. No body markets product. They market pay plans. "Whether you think you can or can't, your right" ~Michael Starr Reed            Do you think he means succeed? Indeed and he means succeed by making money in THIS business.
5  .WS Business / Team Building / Downline retention! on: June 26, 2005, 02:15:07 AM
So many times people want to build a business and make tons of money but they forget a lot of little things that affect their whole organization, and that is how to actual build a downline, and more than that...how to retain them once they have them. This is the demise of so many lines in GDI. You get to where you have 30-40 people in your line and then all of a sudden they start dropping like flies. You instinctually want to blame this on GDI and the system, but the truth is, it's part your uplines fault, and part your fault. As a team leader...meaning if you have people in your organization, you should be a leader, or at least have access to one so that your organization has somewhere to go to get the basics of how this all works. Some people think that if they have a web-site and a URL that people should just go to it because it is online and it just does not work that way.

That is why it is crucial to your business to learn your product AND learn how to market it. Look at it like this. If someone came and dumped 1000 bottles of the most sought after product in the world in your drive way, if you just grabbed a chair and went out and sat by it, you would never get any one to buy it, other than maybe an occasional straggler that happened to see you sitting by a bunch of bottles in your driveway and walked up out of curiosity. You see, if you have no idea how to market, you are dead in the water. It does not matter WHAT your product is.

Most people are not interested in the product anyway. They are looking at the pay plan, and the ease of making money. If people were looking for a product, they would not jump from business to business. When people jump like that, they are really looking for a better pay plan or looking for someone to actually take the time and train them.

Did you know that once you actually learn how to market your service, and can teach your downline how to do the same, you will have nothing else to do but succeed?

There is a great way to retain Reps and that is to just assure them that they are not alone! Most of you already feel that way because you signed up and have no idea how to market, prospect, and many other aspects of a home based business. The problem in some cases is your upline has no idea either. It is hard to venture into unknown territory only to find that there is no light at the end of the tunnel and you have to stop and go right back to where you started.

If you want to learn how to Market your business, contact your upline. Not your immediate upline, but go up 5 levels. Keep going until you find the answers that you seek. Leaders are made this way! To be a leader, you have to sometimes take the initiative, and just do it yourself! That is what happened to me. I have built my organizations because I took the time to figure it out and read, and study and trail and error. It has cost me literally thousands of dollars to make these mistakes, but I am a smarter person for it. Since I did this and found things that work, I now can be the upline that people need to succeed. People just need SOMETHING to duplicate.

Questions are always welcome and I am here to help everyone because I believe in people and their ability to learn.

HAPPY GDIing!!!

Well I will tell you this Tatjana, the only thing you really have to pass down to your team is communication. Sometimes just letting them know you are there in case they need you is good enough. All you need to do to help them is spend time learning your back office tools. Read all you can about the company, where it has been, where it is going. This will also help you sell it. Once you do this you will have what they need. Then all you have to do is focus your energy on 2 things. Recruiting, and duplicating. Your team will dupicate you if you only guide them. People shoulld not even start recruiting until they are comfortable with the system. I think a lot of times team leaders do not stay in touch because like you, they too are not really sure what's going on.

HAPPY GDIing!!

I am a GDI Team Leader and I have great success recruiting, but I also understand the importance of communicating with your team. If the leaders hide and spend all our time recruiting and not training, what have we done? We have not duplicated, therefore our lines will stop with US! And if you read a lot of these posts you will see both Chip Snyder and Bram Smith both are here quite often and are more help than you could ever imagine. Pick their brains because they will gladly tear it off in chunks for you if it helps you grow your business and your self worth.

I am having great success with setting up an 800# and doing a small presentation on it and then running an ad in several different small newspapers in my area. If you would like to see my resources, please e-mail me and I will gladly get em out to you. I am getting leads that have actually ASKED me to contact them. Is that not the best kind? I think so! 80% closing ratio with them! With bulk mailings and such that I did before I was at maybe 1%. That is bad because the leads, even though 1% respond were still 100% of the cost to buy them. That is not a very good ROI is it? Now what I am doing is cheaper AND produces results.

HAPPY GDIing!!!
10  .WS Business / Training / What if my upline never contacts me? on: May 26, 2005, 09:22:29 PM
Hello everyone. I just wanted to start this thread because I am getting a ton of e-mails from this forum from people that are desperately seeking help and they can not seem to get it from their uplines. That is the MOST important thing that you should do. You are bringing people in and showing them nothing. One thing that you have to remember about Network Marketing...people will dupicate almost everything that you do. If you work hard and promote and you tell them that and they see you growing, they will do the same. It is almost like taking somone by the hand and leading them into a dark cave that is completely unknown to them. Once you get inside, you let go and walk away...what do you think that person is going to do? They are going to do everything in their power to find the exit and get the heck out of there because they are scared of the unknown. It is our job as leaders to make this territory known for them.

How do we make it better? We study! When you sign up, you should get in the back office and read. Click on every link...click on it again...send yourself the invite letters...get to know the system. Once you educate yourself and actually see what there is in that office area for you to work with, it is easy to spread that same excitement and knoweledge down to people you share it with.

If you have a downline, do them a favor and LEARN! Teach yourself to teach them so that they in turn can teach. I guarantee your Rep retention will improve and you will have a more solid line of Business builders rather than people running for the exit the first chance they get! Contact them once a week as a MINIMUM!!! All people need is a little direction. Some more than others but if you show them, and believe in them...they in turn will believe in you and THAT is a foundation for a long term relationship!

HAPPY GDIing! I am always just an e-mail away if anyone has ANY questions.

Thanks David for the props!

Now I hate to be the hand-slapper, but please don't post links to other sites in the forum. Of course we have no problem with you sharing your system with your own referrals and downline members who ask you for help, but it should be up to each individual sponsor to help and train their own organization on the systems and methods they want them to use.

I personally don't mind checking out the sites the people in my organization use and like, but GDI has asked me to keep a close watch on advertising going on in the forum so it doesn't get out of hand.

I'm sure you can appreciate why.

Bram

Not a problem my Friend!! Always trying to build! Smiley Thanks for this forum by the way! It's great!

I like the site so far. I spent about 3 hours just reading posts and learning and looking at everyones web-sites. Kudos to everyone! I am still looking for other ways that people have built their organizations. Please let me know. Even when we have a nice size downline, it is always nice to have something else to try. I think that Network Marketing is very powerful. I have become quite successful in the past couple of years. I just didn't give up. You will never fail if you never quit! I have been doing this for going on 4 years now, and it has been a long hard road, but it has been interesting and has finally paid off. If anyone would like to learn about some of the ways that I have built my organization, please e-mail me and I can show you some of my methods of building. To stay within the guidelines of this forum, I will not link to the actual site, but it has a lot of good information on it. Please contact me if you want the URL. Happy GDIing!!!
