Title: how do i upload wordpress to my website?
Post by: Niros Folknoir on December 28, 2010, 10:17:11 AM
hi.
does uploading wordpress to my website is what they call "hosting" ?
i saw this link - http://talk.ws/index.php?topic=13518.0 (http://talk.ws/index.php?topic=13518.0)
and the problem is, my "change DNS" link won't click - it's just blocked.
is it because i'm still in my 7 days trial? is it because i didn't take the "domain privacy" option?
does anyone know why is it?

i know there's a simple wordpress plugin, but not to my language.
if i want to have wordpress in my language i need to upload it manually.
to do so, i need the following -

FTP: User name, password, server, and location of public directory.
MySQL: Database name, user name and password, and hostname.

is this the information i could get if i could click the "change DNS" link?

does anyone else know what are these details?
my guesses:
user name and password are the same for FTP and for MySQL, and they're the ones i chose when i registered.
server and database name are the same and it's simply my domain name.
am i right?
what is my hostname?

thanks a lot if anyone knows!
