16  .WS Services / WebSite Development / Re: How do I ftp with GDI? on: May 20, 2006, 07:18:35 PM
Rod, I've already built my website with the site builder and plan to switch to hosting to create a home page with a template and add other pages. But I want to keep the pages already made. I know I have to create an index page (my home page?) then sub-folders for each further pages before FTP. What is the first task I have to do? And shall I be able to call each page otherwise than page2, page3, page4...? thanks.

Gisele,
I really like your webpage but you should consider changing the title "yourbusiness.ws" on the top of your page as it leads to another affiliates page if entered into one's browser. This is assuming that it is not another domain which you have.
Wishing you and all GDIers the Best of Success!

Hello Everybody,

I am new to the forum as well as to web design.  You could say I am HTML illiterate.  New to Internet marketing as well, I guess you could say I am new to all of this.

Any way, the reason I am posting here is, I would like input as to what I have done and how I can improve my site and my Marketing approach.

My site is:      www.scamstopper.ws       Please take a look and tell me what you experts think.

Thanks and Yours in Success !

James G. Hayes
==================
James,
I was overwhelmed by your site and how you put everything together. Great job! But what I do question is your product or approach for a Website. While I understand where you're coming from, do you think people will just want to get onboard just to "expose" the internet scams?
I really like what you have done but question your market audience. What is the lure (product)- making money? hosting? a website? What would they be offering to people they know or people they talk to?
I really like the way you broke everything down. You have a lot more experience than what you give yourself credit for.
Wishing you Great Success!

Hi,

Suleman Abdullahi from Nigeria here. If you have prospects or if you are from Nigeria, you can
get a visa debit card which you can use as your payment option with GDI from graphcard.com.
They are quite reliable and efficient. You will need to register with them first and there are
various option for funding your account graphcard account. Contact me if you need more details.

Thanks, Suleman! Does anybody else have any other ways (URLs) that a person from South Africa can get a credit/debit card so they can pay there GDI dues? Any additional help and/or explanations will be greatly appreciated.
ThANKS.
Wishing you all the Success you can handle!

19  .WS Business / Marketing / Re: Leads that you buy. on: May 06, 2006, 06:17:32 PM
Yeah Troy,

I've purchased some of the leads as well from the back office but, ironically enough, I GET the sign-ups when I go the direct mail route with them.  Their put into the email system by GDI but I get very little "open" rates.  Being that we also get the snail-mail address though, I'll just drop a personalized (MS Word Mail Merge) letter to the list and that turns over about 2-4% when I do that.

Hope that helps.

Would you please be so kind to share your letter that you send out.

20  .WS Business / Marketing / Re: christmas gifts on: December 06, 2005, 05:16:04 PM
Hi everyone. I had a brainstorm. I wanted to pass out christmas gifts to my friends but i wanted to give them a 30 day free membership to gdi. ($10)  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this. How would i be able to pay in advance for them ?  How could i make up a gift certificate ? etc. etc.
Along with this idea, I was also hoping to have my GDI DVDS in time for Christmas so that I could hand them out also as small gifts. Does anyone have any idea when we will be receiving our pre-orders?

Jennifer,
I think your site is Great. As far as the cat, I think it's cute and doesn't offend in my opinion. I guess it's really a question of who is going to see your site.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!

22  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: One month trial???Colour confusion??? on: October 14, 2005, 02:10:41 PM
Hey helpful people Grin

Can anyone please explain why I have people still blue after a month...................I thought after 7 days they either turned green or orange??? Undecided

And also how long does it take for downline to compress after someone cancels their account??

Regards to anyone that can help
Cheryl
=========
Cheryl,
i had a downline trial member (level 3) that stayed "blue" for over 5 weeks. Apparently, the charge eventually went thru but, to my surprise, it was for two months: the previous month and the current month. There were two commissions paid, each being charged on different days. So I wouldn't worry how long they stay blue, just hope the payment eventually goes through.
I hope my situation clears up your concern.

23  .WS Business / Marketing / Re: DVD Preview... on: October 02, 2005, 08:18:08 PM
I am able to duplicate any dvd, even the print on the dvd with some real expensive dvd copying computer software that I have and my scanner... and if this is allowed, it would be GREAT. If not, I sure hope the dvd's can be ordered in bulk for real, real cheap.
Chad,
I agree with you completely. I too can with the help of my son's software come up with some beautiful copies. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what GDI permits and offers as far as bulk purchasing. I HOPE IT ISN'T GOING TO COST A ARM AND A LEG SO THAT WE HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT RETREIVING COPIES ONCE WE GET THEM OUT THERE. After all, we can't just give them away or will we be able to? That's the question.
Will the price be such that if someone joins we can let them keep the dvd? Remember, we only get a dollar a month from thiem unless they start recruiting.
Well, time will tell.

I don't think it's lengthy at all. I have a question though... once this dvd is available to purchase from GDI can we make copies of it on our personal computers? I mean, it can be used as a very efficient tool.

Pass out the dvd for free to someone with your url written on the case or dvd. Yeah! For one, who wouldn't want a free dvd? Furthermore, who wouldn't want to join GDI after watching it?

Since I've not seen this mentioned anywhere else, please give me credit for this idea.  Grin

I think this idea of our being able to copy it is a great idea. It would keep our expenses down and add much more exposure/promotion for GDI. Many of us, myself included, need an inexpensive means of convincing prospects. I believe this would be a great tool if its acquisation is not too costly. Since this item would benefit the company, wouldn't it be great if GDI sent us a copy for free and let us copy it. I think they would end up seeing massive growth and all who took advantage of this tool would benefit. I myself, being on a very limited budget, cannot afford more expense than I already have promoting GDI. Just something to think about.

This is an ad I wrote after listening in Last Tuesday to Tim Seberts training call. I am printing it up as a flier at present. I would value anyone's opinion.

                                           Thanks...marie
Marie,
I liked your ad so much that I incorporated parts of it into the back of a business card which I made up. On the front, I have the title "GOT DOT ??" and under it the picture (drawing) of a really funny looking dog with his head tilted. I find that the business cards that I print up on my computer with some cute graphic on them seem to disappear quicker than other ones with no graphic. I leave them on Supermarket Boards. Thanks for the "Great Ad! I hope you don't mind my using some of it.
I would post a pic of the card except that the graphic has all kinds of copyrights, etc. and is only suppose to be used by the person who purchased the program.
Thanks!
John

Hello John!

You have talent my friend!  Keep up the great work.  Here is  a suggestion:  You might want to consider changing your yellow text to white.  It would be more pleasing to the eyes!  What do you think?

Frank
Frank,
I considered white text but then thought "what it someone wants to print it out?" They would end up with a blank page. Maybe, I'll try it. I like the white also.

PS...Thanks to all for the nice comments.  Smiley

Hi! All,
I just finished my home page using html and Site Builder 3.0. The animations were created by me. Please don't try to copy them. I will be adding a page of animations which I'll create in the future ANDl make available for FREE to GDI Affiliates. The ones on the site now, I want to keep separate and to myself currently. I will also be adding a page on HTML Basic coding which I will also make available to GDI Associates. Ihope you'll find these future additions helpful.
Check back often to see if I have posted anything that you can use. I love this Forum. It's full of good info.
Wishing All Great Success!
John
