Hello,

I am new to the program since November 2007.  My upline basically doesn't exist.  I have posted flyers just about everywhere, purchased the
10 invites (which I find a joke) only 2 responded.  Posted on Craigslist - which now I find out that you are not suppose to post there if an MLM.
I have posted on BackPage.com and now it won't even let me post there!!!  I am just looking to find a little downline.  Since I have a brain injury
it is hard to do much.  Any help will be useful.

Thanks,

Hello Susanna

I know how frustrating it can be to start building your downline and also with an upline who seem to not care, but what counts is from you down, not from you up, don't despair, it took me sometime to have enough people in my business to even break even, but don't be disheartened, here are a few methods I use to promote my GDI business and hope they help in building a strong successful business, a thing all of us strive to do.

Fliers are good to do, as long as you can make them cheaply enough, it's always good to find someone who delivers local papers and maybe work out a deal with that person to put a flier in every newspaper that person delivers. You can download a nice looking flier from here: http://www.1.ws/flyer/

Business cards are good to have, you can hand them out to anyone, or leave them at places you visit, here is the place I use to make my own business cards, they only charge you for delivery which is only $9.95 for 250 cards which you can design your self, visit this link: http://www.vistaprint.com

Also to find which classified places you can post in for mlm business ads, just google: free classified business, and you should get a few places you can advertise on for free, just pick 5 places you would like to advertise in, place your ads, and when it's time to renew they should send you an email telling you that your ad will expire soon and that you should log back in to renew them.

Ordering and showing dvd's is another good way to get potential sign ups, but you will have to place an ad stating that if anyone wants more information about GDI to contact you for a dvd, but make sure they are interested and also send a return envelope with the dvd and ask them to please return the dvd after watching it, so you can send it onto others without always having to buy more.

One thing that I use and use often is placing an ad in my local newspaper, I run 3 consecutive ads for 3 weeks, that cost me $22, our local paper reaches over 100,000+ people and have had a few sign up from using this media.

And when ever you get interested one's who have given you a request for more information on GDI and have also given there first and last name, always enter them into the invite system, let GDI send a business invitation on your behalf, so always try and get peoples first and last name, so you can use the invite system, and make sure they are willing to give it, if they are not, then use this link for them to view the movie without entering no details: http://movie.ws/USERNAME/Income&Seeker

Another thing which is always effective and free to do is word of mouth, when you build up your belief in GDI and see that with GDI there is no way you can lose out, unless you do nothing then yeah sure it would never build. Talk to people about it, and always have plenty of your business cards to hand to them after discussing a bit about GDI, but always make sure you research GDI first, so as to know what you are talking about and also you can answer questions they may have on the spot.

But most of all, "DON"T QUIT" if you apply any one of those things mentioned above on a daily, weekly, or even monthly basis, you will see your downline grow, and don't forget, teach them the same methods you use, it's all about sharing with your downline everything, everything they need to know to succeed as well, cos without them we are going no where.

I wish you success in GDI in the coming future.

You need to contact your ISP internet service provider, and ask what there outgoing mail server and put it into accounts in your email client you are using, you have the incoming mail server right, but need to correct the outgoing.
34  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: Registeration Page on: September 11, 2007, 04:34:45 AM
Is there a link that takes you directly to the registeration page without watching the 7 minute presentation?

This link will take people to the sign up page, just add your USERNAME at the end of it,

Good Morning everyone. My name is Mindy Lambert and I just signed on today. I am very excited yet a little confused on what I need to do.
Hi mindy I know how you feel, like so many people have posted and I have done myself, it's really just a matter of sitting down grab a pen and pad and to think of all your family and friends and other people you associate with, who you think maybe interested in running their own business online and just jot down their e-mails or if you already have them in your e-mail client be even better, and just login to members  http://webiste.ws/members/  go to the invite system and put their first and last names in and their e-mail address and press send, and let GDI invite them to see your movie presentation and they will follow up with a bit more information on GDI themselves, but don't forget to follow up on those that do view your movie, just to get their thoughts on what they thought about the movie and to answer any lingering questions they may have.

So brush up on ya knowledge about GDI the company and product, cos when those questions come, they come think and fast, and after your done with inviting people you know, well the next people to invite is anyone in the world, fliers are good to use you can get the fliers either in colour or black and white from here http://www.1.ws/flyer/ don't forget to edit them and add your USERID, and the GDI business cards are great to use too, you dont have to buy the GDI business cards you can create your own ya know, but the GDI one's do look more professional like and more appealing, so you can find places on where you can place them here http://www.gdi-made-easy.ws/Flyers.html and pretty much all I do is place one simple ad in my local paper which reads
Quote
Hottest Internet Home Based Opportunity Visit www.my.ws/USERID
and that cost me $8.30 every week, it's how I got most of my downline I have today, so it's very effective and worth every penny, especially when the income that you will eventually make will pay me back all those $8.30's I've spent to build my GDI business a thousand fold in the coming future.

So I believe you can't beat advertising for prospects in ya own country, and why not for $8.30 for a target audience of 340,000 readers a week,...awww man, it's a no brainer.

Well there is my $8.30 on how I do things...lol, find the best way for you and go for it.

To your success.

Any one got the HTML code for a media player on your website and a drop down menu to choose songs from? would like to place music on my website. Any help most appreciated.
37  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: Hosting/Disk Storage Questions on: June 29, 2007, 03:43:39 PM
I want to place music on my website, but it just seems we don't have the MB compacity to hold and play that much music, I really think we need more MB storage so we can offer visitors to our website the chance to at least enjoy their visit and to also see that the GDI product offers more or even matches other hosting places, I see a lot of other hosting places offer a lot more MB storage and for free even, so I would like to think that we as direct sellers of domain names and websites should also be provided with the MB storage to go along with it.

Hi Sandy

It is a worry when an upline of yours has no interest in helping you, I feel for you and am glad I had a sponsor who answered my questions upon joining GDI, so I shall return the favor to you and help you in any way I can, the first place I send my downline to get a good start in your GDI business is a website build by a GDI member Rod Beaumont http://www.gdi-made-easy.ws/index.html with hard work and dedication to helping others rod has set up this training site for all GDI members and greatful we are for it.

There you will find untold information about e-mail examples you can use for prospects as well as HTML codes for your website, save the website to your favorites and refer back to it often it really is a great way to get to know the basic and advance level of training needed for a great start in your GDI business.

You hang in their and learn all you need to know about GDI and go make this business your own, just don't make the same mistakes as your upline, communicate with your downline, build friendships with them, for they are the ones in the long run who are gonna help you create your income for life, listen to what they have to say and help them anyway you can.

Be a leader to your downline and gain respect along the way, your dreams will come true, if you just help enough people with their dreams as well.

To your success.
40  .WS/GDI Discussion / General Comments / Re: WHAT DID YOU DO BEFORE DISCOVERING GDI? on: June 12, 2007, 12:54:47 PM
A truck driver and still am, Over 15 years ago I joined amways and was a member of that for 3 years, it was very hard in those days to build a steady downline as the prices of the products were so dare because of paying for them in US dollars from NZ dollars was taking a toll on my downlines finances and just saw my downline drop like flies.

The product was great. the company was a great company to be affiliated with, it was only the price of the products, I will sat though I thank amways for giving me the mentality to succeed with all the motivational tools they had, which I carried over to GDI, now finally I can grow a business with ease and without the problems of people not being able to afford the product. With such a low participation cost.  I really get surprised how anyone can turn GDI down. I still have friends who were part of amways at the time I was a member and just in the process of following them all up to introduce GDI to them. But over the years you tend to lose touch with people and trying to find them proves harder than ever.

But will keep searching.

If any one can explain very briefly how it works I would really appreciate it.
I have an autoresponder that I  want to set up to work with this site, Now to figure out how to use it. Do I have an email address for my site on GDI? I have no idea what to do with my website now either.  Do I just keep it parked and sent prospects to it as is?  or should I set it up and use it to promote one of the other businesses I have to promote thoses businesses? Help!!!!! LOL. I would like to see some income comming in from somewhere soon!!!!!
Any suggestions or assistance would be very much appreciated.
Thankyou All

Hello Patrick,
May I ask for the way to upload GDI movie to youtube account.
Please can post here or send me PM/e-mail so I can upload it.
Regards
M Khan

You have to download the actual movie go here to download it http://www.gdi-made-easy.ws/MovieCode.html then you would have to add this code only if you were placing on your own .ws website:

<center><a href="http://website.ws/kvmlm2/_show.dhtml?speed=high&sponsor=USERID"><img src="http://images.website.ws/kvmlm2/images/cover_big.gif"></a></center>

Once the movie has downloaded you must then upload it to youtube or your .ws website, I think the HTML code above would be if you wanted to place it on your .ws website, because youtube has there own video box to play the movie in. But if you were to put it on your .ws website you then change the href=URL to the URL you uploaded the movie to on your .ws website, but leave the src=URL alone because thats the image URL.

Hope this helps.

Patrick
43  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: Downline Cancellation on: June 07, 2007, 10:58:21 PM
You are correct, if a frontline member of yours decide to quit, by some unforeseen circumstances that they do, but would be silly if they did with 10 in their frontline, but if it ever did happen all his frontline members move up a level to your frontline, and you will still get commissions from them, no chain is lost, they all just move up.

Hi guys,

A quick question, lets say you have someone in your downline who has 10 people in their downline, but for some strange reason lets say that person under you quits!!! what happens to all those 10 people under him?  Will they now be members under you ?  will you keep getting commission from them and people under them or do you lose that chain and everyone below him?
44  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: Need some explanation Please:) on: June 07, 2007, 10:57:13 PM
You got it, thats all you have to do is recruit, use the invite system to invite family and friends and any associates you may know that would be interested in GDI. GDI will send out a movie invitation to those people and invite them to see the movie, you will know if they have viewed it, by checking the status of the e-mails you entered in the invite system as well as GDI will send you a business communication e-mail stating that some one has viewed the movie. So you just follow up.

Another place that will help you in running your GDI business more efficiently is http://www.gdi-made-easy.ws/index.html it was created by another GDI member Rod Beaumont for the purpose of a training site for new GDI members.

Also check this website out by another GDI member http://www.buildawebsite.ws/ this will help you get some ideas on what you can do with your website, and remember to always put your USERID in all links.

Wish you success.

Dear All,

I've just started with GDI and I'm not sure i understood averything.
When you use the income calculator, you see that you get paid when you lead people right?
So I just have to recrute people, make them sign up for 10$/month, and then i get paid for it right?
Thank you for your help Grin
