16  .WS/GDI Discussion / General Comments / Re: Love the new email system on: January 31, 2009, 12:11:47 AM
How can I re-send invitations, sent out once already? Without re-typing each name and email address? Is there a way.

Hi MichaelWeise

Sorry for the late response and I see no one responded so I will, as I figured out using the invite system, the email addresses can only be entered once, if you try to enter the same email which you have previously sent b4 hand, the system will say that, that email address has already been sent an invitation. Look at statistics on the invite page to see who has opended the email and or viewed the flash presentation or visited your personal website.ws affiliate page.

You gotta understand that the people you send an invitation too, must give you consent to send them an invitation, you can't just grab emails out of the blue from the internet, or where ever and just pop them into the invite system and send...OHH NO!, family and close personal friends is ok, because they know you already and would not ever regard your emails to them as SPAM <<< that ugly word of the internet...lol.

A lot of us use opt-in forms on our personal websites, that invites the guest to want to know more, and through that opt-in form, you can send all sorts of great informative emails about GDI to that person, because they have personally asked for it. I use Vertical Response, which I've set up an opt-in form stating if they want to view 7 minute movie, to send thier first and last name and email, and from there I gather the data at vertical response and add them into the invite system and send them a GDI business invitation mail. I let GDI follow them up with thier emails for a few days, then after maybe a week or 2, I start to follow them up with vertical response, in all the emails I send through vertical has the opt-out link from vertical as well as the opt-out link from GDI, so when they do decide to opt-out from recieveing emails from me, I know when to stop sending them emails period.

And HONESTLY do stop sending them emails, because they have opted-OUT!.

I  agree with you 100% Lewis_P!

For once in our lives, lets kick the word "Quitting" out of our vocablary, we all know GDI is one of the most cheapest online businesses to be involved in this day and age, and we can never go broke while building it.

The resources from GDI are all there to research and use to our fullest extent, we also have this wonderful, full of informative information forum to come and see other peoples tips and advice and also good links to other things we may need on our journey in establishing and getting our business running to a point, where every thing you've done has set your business up to drive as many people as possible to your GDI business links.

Find what avenues on the internet you would like to work with to promote your links, weather it be traffic exchanges, PPC, free ad classified places, in other forums you may be involved in, but as part of your signature, not spamming messages of an online business in a forum thats is strictly for gamers or something asking for tips or cheats of that specific topic. Do "BE AWARE" of that!!!.

But as part of your signature in forums a lot of forum places will accept that, I am part of a lot of forums and actually use a few GDI banners GDI has given us to promote, so I just use the link to that GDI banner in my signature. It is not regarded as spamming because the actuall message body it's self does relate to that forum. So as a person reads your message and see's your signature below that message with your GDI banner, it is actually up to the individual weather they want to click the banner or not. FREE WILL! Smiley.

But what I do love is Networking places, like windows live, facebook, bebo, myspace, myyearbook, directmatches, yuwie...etc, etc, etc. These networking places you are allowed to promote what ever you like, online businesses included. Another great way of promoting your GDI links.

As regards to fliers, yeah why not give it a go, I have and have got a few signed up that way. But if you can get a company to create like 5000 fliers for you on cheap paper, not anything flashy looking as long as it explains a bit about GDI and has your own GDI link on it and is cheap to make "Do It", try and spot someone maybe delivering a local paper in your area and other areas and ask them how much it will cost to slip a flier in every paper they deliver, that is a good way, also car's at shoping malls, get your kids and thier friends together, and slip a flier under every car window wiper...ohh and do give the kids something for thier efforts Smiley.

OK the morale of it all is, promoting your GDI links is only limited to your own imagination.

So "Never Quit" and "Keep Building"

Yes the new intergrated website builder has been a total flop for me, messed up my website, so I decided to use webhosting and upload my own pages. I wouldn't use any other service now.

Thanks GDI for the new email system you have created for us affiliates, looks great and is refreshing to see our company striving to better our tools for the GDI community.

Even more happier to be associated with the best affiliate program on the internet.

22  .WS/GDI Discussion / New Member? / Re: Hello to everyone on: October 11, 2008, 03:41:13 PM
Hello all,

So I keep seeing this advice to contact people in my "upline" but I am not sure who these people are or how to contact them. Any help would be great!

Thanks,
karen

You can view your upline contact details, in your backoffice by clicking the upline button, there you will see their contact name and address, ad them to your contacts in your email client, but make sure to make a seperate folder for them, so as to not contact them when sending out a follow up email to your list.

Sometimes people in your upline are so busy, so getting a response back from them may take a while or you may not ever get one, but don't be discouraged, take charge of your own business and learn all there is to know, there are plenty of people in this forum, who are willing to offer good advice, regardless if your in their downline or not, cos we all want everyone to succeed.

You have fun building your business, and dont make the mistake of not helping your downline like some upline may tend to do.
23  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: Unpaid monthly fee on: October 09, 2008, 08:35:42 AM
Your domain will be deactivated, your account deactivated, but will still show as an inactive domain in your sponsors dowline tree, it will only stop showing in your sponsors downline tree when you ring them and fully delete your account by phone.

Also all 1st lvl people that you had before your account got deactivated or you fully deleted account by phone will be moved up to your sponsor, giving your sponsor a few extra 1st lvl people courtesy of you.  Tongue

Hang in there, and keep promoting your business.
24  .WS/GDI Discussion / New Member? / Re: Hello to everyone on: October 09, 2008, 08:35:42 AM
Organize yourself properly, make sure you understand everything there is to know about your business, there is a lot of good information about GDI in your backoffice especially the FAQ link, take up reading as a hobby for a few days and soak in the knowledge of GDI.

Play around with creating your website in domains and sitebuilder, so you get to know the product, set up 1 or more if ya want Dot.Ws email accounts and use one of them as your contact address that GDI will send emails to. If you have outlook express that you use for your own personal email from your ISP provider, then forward your .Ws emails to your personal email, and draw them to your computer with your email client.

Organize folders to put leads into, like I have a folder in my email client called Viewed GDI Movie and thats where I put people who have viewed my movie, I also have a folder called GDI Members, and thats where I put people who join under me, when GDI sends me an email saying that someone has joined and are in their 7 day trial, I put them in a folder that says 7 Day Trial, after that 7 days and they have fully joined I move them to the GDI Members folder.

Remember that the email you get from GDI saying someone has viewed your movie does not mean they have joined, now if that person who has Viewed Your Movie and has joined, you can move that person out of the Viewed GDI Movie folder and put them into the 7 day trial folder, then after 7 days and they have fully joined, move them into the GDI Members folder.

Also the ones who are still in your Viewed GDI Movie folder that have not signed up, becomes a lead and you can send an email to them, every so often, not everyday..lol, just reminding them of things about GDI.

PLEASE REMEMBER to use the opt-out link from GDI when sending people information about GDI, so the person has an option of not receiving emails from you and GDI, use the GDI opt-out link in your GDI back office and also a brief message saying to them that if they want to be removed from your email list to reply with remove in subject line, so you can remove them from your folders. Cos the link from GDI removes them from the GDI database not your folders, and u wont know if they clicked the GDI removal link, the only indication you will get is if they reply with remove to you, then you can assume that they have clicked the remove from the GDI database link as well.

Hope that makes sense...Smiley

I will get to the point now, after you have organized yourself, start advertising your links, google free advertising, pick 5 good places, write your add add you affiliate link, and post, do that in 5 different classified places online, try and use ones that will send you a reminder to renew your ads every month or 2 monthly or 3 monthly, that way you will always having your ad posted at these places and on the internet, try to be unique, about your ad writing, dont use content from someone else, one thing about the internet is it's always crawling for new content to add to search.

also try PPC pay per click, sign up for google adwords, make u a nice little ad, add some keywords, deposit some money into your PPC account and bid on some keywords, and track how that goes.

Fliers, business cards, email leads, I'll leave that for you to look further into.

To your success, ohh and have fun building your business.

I have one to share, I am successful already because of finding a company like GDI, to help me become financially free and all for $10 a month, count me in for life...hehe.

One day I will have a real rags to riches success story to share with the GDI community, can't wait.

To your success.

Keep at it Smiley
26  .WS Business / Marketing / Re: where is the flash movie? on: October 09, 2008, 08:35:42 AM
Here is a link to personalize the movie for family and friends:

http://movie.ws/USERNAME/FIRSTNAME&LASTNAME

Replace username with your GDI username. Replace Firstname and lastname with your family and friends names, and send link through email or on msn while chatting to them.

Simple. ohhh... and leave the & between the first and last name...ok

Cheers, wish you well.
27  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: downline and levels on: October 09, 2008, 08:35:42 AM
Hi Liz

Yes I know how it feels when your downline comes to a standstill, and yes if you move a person under someone in ya 1st lvl, that person is now on your 2nd lvl, and yes again, when a 2nd lvl person brings someone in, that person settles on your 3rd lvl. And yes it is worth helping people in your frontline, especially if they have been in your downline a while, it means that they do want to build a business, so putting someone under them, can help build their confidence back up.

And because you brought a person into your business using your referral link, and are about to or have moved a person under someone in your frontline, that person you moved them under, cannot move them again to someone they want to put them under on their 1st lvl, that person is locked on your 2nd after you move them, and cannot be moved again by the person you moved them under.

AND...lol when someone in your 1st lvl quits and say they had like 5 people under them, which is stupid to quit GDI if ya did have 5 people, but anyway, when that person quits, all those 5 people are now moved up to your frontline.

Hope that helps.
28  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: Payment on: October 09, 2008, 08:35:42 AM
Make sure your details in your GDI back office is up to date and correct, wouldn't want you checks going anywhere else except your address, and it will be sent by mail.

If you have not got a paypal account or you do, you still have to make a paypal account under a Dot.Ws email address so payments of your commissions can be paid into a paypal account, but GDI will only pay into Dot.Ws email accounts registered with paypal, not any other email account. Then you just add that .Ws email to your preffered payment method in you payment options under get your commissions payed to you into your paypal.

Or Bank wire.
29  .WS Business / Marketing / Re: What about a co-operative approach to GDI? on: October 09, 2008, 08:35:42 AM
Hmmm..a randomizer??, what if ya get like 5,000 members, are they all gonna be relying on those you tube video's to direct people to sign up to GDI and then hope the randomizer puts someone under them, you could be waiting forever to get 5 people under you. And yes their are a ton of you tube viewers, and a good place to market, but there is not one person inviting them to GDI, meaning they not signing up under anyone's referral link.

Or do they first have to go through your power5plan to sign up to GDI, and then from there your randomizer selects who ever that is registered with power5plan to put that new sign up under?

I can't see the benefits to GDI affiliates.

I will search you power5plan on google and give it a better read.
