1  .WS Business / Marketing / Re: Use The Invite System on: August 11, 2007, 06:23:09 PM
Dear Co-GDI Members,

Policy is the "Invite" system is only to be used for people that you actually know, have talked to, called, received permission and interst from them, etc., and not for purchased leads or mass lead lists. It souinds like some are using it for email leads, unless I am misunderstanding? Correct?

There are great questions that come in the Forum, the thread keeps going and going, but the question never gets answered? Sometimes I feel like this great big secret is being held back from me I average one person a month since April, but nothing more from July on.

I also have come to realize I need to learn more and more, for us relatively new members the learning curve is steep and if your not careful expensive. This Forum has been priceless to me, and I love the interaction and feeback. I was going to sign up for one of the training's posted, but once I realized it was going to cost me, I decided to send an email for further information.

My motto continues to be traffic, traffic, traffic, but I'm still not succeeding yet.

Kudo's to everyone in our GDI worldwide family.

Respectfully Yours,
Dale
2  .WS Business / Marketing / Re: Does bulk emailing really work, or the so called email marketing systems work? on: August 11, 2007, 06:23:08 PM
Mustafa,

What clicks = GDI follow-up system are you referring to? I can look my hits record, but from what I am experiencing, their is nothing built into the system that follows up. I am in another program, one I'm actually embarrassed to name, but let me tell you it has a follow up system that is phenomenal, always communicating to my inbox when the next event is or conference call, it does all follow up to pre-enrollees, almost unrelenting so, but I'd rather have it that way than nothing. Due to my heavy attention placed don GDI, I have not spent time promoting the other program at all, and due to the system's follow up, I have almost 1000 people in my downline already. However, it costs $19.95 per month instead of just $10.00 a month.

I also need to find a system to build my own contacts list that people actually opt in for information, but it needs to be like one of those Know How Books for Dummies (laughing) because I do not yet know how to do HTML or build a separate webpage, etc.

Respectfully Yours,
Dale
3  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: Spam Policy on: July 07, 2007, 05:39:21 PM
In view of no public response to my post above, I have had a few more thoughts. If the GDI Spam Policy "that you have to know the people personally that you are sending emails too, or it is considered Spamming is adhered too, I do not see how anyone is able to do mass mailings with opt outs and unsubscribe links. There is no way in God's beautiful green earth that you can comply with the strict policy. I thought as long as you give people the opportunity to opt out or unsubscribe, you were following the AntiSpam Laws. But under the definition above other than safelists, developing your own mailing list and opt ins, which works if you are selling mutiple things, how do those of you perform mass mailings comply. Traffic, traffic, traffic. :-)

Dear GDI,

Will someone once and for all answer the spam question. I recognize the antispam link is available in our back office for individual emails. But for christ sake, you cannot enter the persons names individually within that link if you are doing a mass mailing or even 100 or 500 emails. I just spent time completely overhaulling my lead delivery system because the one GDI had made up was not working at all anymore. In doing my overhaul, I made an effort to copy and paste the HTML, over into my own created email campaign hoping it works for heavens sake (because I know nothing about HTML, so I hope it's correct. However, when I request the service to send me test emails and campaigns, whicih it would never do under the GDI premade campaign (of which no one has sastisfactorily explained to me why), now that I have added the GDI unsubscribe link to my email campaign, plus the service sending my emails also have their own spam opt out in it as well, but say GDI requires I have theirs in it as well, now I cannot get test email campaigns sent to me now since adding the GDI link.  I still go back to my premise in a previous post that receives poor response, that Jesus !!! GDI if we cannot mass email, target traffic, learn search engines, and get traffic, traffic, traffic, and we need more tools of which to accomplish this, because the internet is changing so rapidly, we need to change as rapidly with upgrading GDI tools available to us, or recommended at least to keep us out of spam trouble, I feel I am tredding water.

Mr. Mayfield. Welcome to GDI it is absolutely wonderful and I have never been more proud of any business relationship I have had or seen in the past. If you have people interested already during you 7 day trial perid, kudo's to you. Keep up the good work and you will never fail.

Melissa, I especially thank you for sharing such valuable and helpful information.

Chiip, I have new GDI success ideas. One, set a a bonus program for affiliates who propose a success idea, business plan, or marketing tool that evolves to fruition within the GDI Forum. Secondly, can the system be set up to let you know immediately by email that someone has written you a message
from the GDI Forum? I personally need more real time one on one communication. I am not implying that the other mechanisms such as talk.ws does not work, quite the contrary it is outstanding. It's just I feel like I need more. Thirdly, I suggest GDI evaluate it's compensation plan and pay more to the affiliates direct recruit no matter where they are place in their downline. Not just  a one time payment but a $$ figure even if only and addition $1 or $2 dollar increase or difference provide incentive, motivation, and encourages upline affiliates to assist their downline so they can see the system actually works, how wonderful it is resulting in increase retention. I do not know if my story or experience is typical because I am the "newbie" on the block, however I was initially bombarded from my immediate direct upline person for the first few days until it was overwhelming, and then wham, nado, ziltch, zip, nothing, not even responding my last email communications. I even tried emailing further upline because one of them live very close to me, and absolutely NO response. The initial sharing of information with me by GDI Affiliates, is they do not recommend placing enrollees in you downline, but that I could do what ever works for me. I was a little a taken-a-back by the comment and advice. In fact I disagree with such an approach. Their are thousands and thousands of GDI Affiliates out there, we need them and their input, such as was demonstated by Melissa above in this forum thread.

Respectfully Yours,
Dale Parks

p.s. I would pay for a spell checker in here (laughing), have a great day everyone!

7  .WS Business / Marketing / When creating campaign emails and autoreponders why.....? on: April 22, 2007, 06:12:05 PM
Hello GDI Affiliates,

I have finally learned how to create a campaign and autoresponders on a site I signed up with.
Why is it, when I am finished, I click on submit, they are auto reviewed like a spell checker for
" WORD THAT MAY BE INTERPRETED AT SPAM", and list immediately comes back to me of bad words to use. It's like I'm so new and so far everyone has got me scared YOU KNOW WHAT about SPAM with sites saying that if "you" I cause any trouble for there site or organization I will be held completely liable. Yet I see so many website, sounding like Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show, when he would do the skit, "it dices, it slices, it chopes, it grades, and yes my friend it will even get you into heaven". I mean some of the claims out there are way off the rictor scale as far as I am concerned, and I am left feeling "if it sounds to good to be true, it most certainly usually is".

The list has included every single word GDI uses to promote itself, and every singel website I have reviewed uses them even to the extreme compared to us. They are as follows:

   * Free
   * Opportunity
   * Network Marketing
   * and so on, I wish I could remember them
      all but it was a list of about 10 words

It gave me the opportunity to ignore there advice, but every one has got me so rediculously afraid of getting in trouble and it prevents me from being creative or feeling competitive with what's out there. This is also a site that allegedly the "heavy hitters" on the "inside know" use, and in fact where GDI itself has a template campaign and autoresponders provide for you to utilize. I mean take a moment and listten to our very own GDI promotional DVD, it uses everyone of the words theywere warning me that might be interpreted as SPAM.

Whjy? Should I just click on "ignore" the next time I create a campaign and autoresponders?

Respectfully Yours,
Dale

Good day all GDI, Inc., affiliates. I am new to this exciting and outstanding opportunity. After many month's of study, research, and filtering through the scams, GDI stood out head and shoulders above all the rest. So, I jumped on board for the ride and truly hope for incredible success. The creators for this ingenious powerhouse massive world wide system requires my heart felt genuine thanks and congratulations to their wonderful success and providing this opportunity for me.

I need advice from everyone whether new or longstanding affiliate, part time, full time, single or multiple business owners. My personal situation requires me to be primarily homebound. I support whole heartedly the strict adherence to the "ANTI SPAM" policy. In order to utilize and obtain the incredible support of the "invite" system what do you recommend after I have entered family and firiends, or run of people. The leads provided by GDI are too expensive for me at this point. I have access to vertied lead but my options for using such an outstanding systmem are limited with respect to policy not to mention laws and governing regulations controlling SPAM. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Respectfully Yours,   Dale        Smiley       (from just north of San Francisco, California, USA
