1  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: Leads from GDI on: June 17, 2011, 08:44:31 AM
I purchaced some leads a while ago, but haven't had time to call them.
- I figured that if somebody is interested in starting a business 6 months ago, they might still be unless they've found something that's even more effective (and COULD potentially use a website ;-)

So far, there's been no hits (besides from 2) from the e-mail postings - so imho it's seen as 'spam' (which _could_ be why facebook is seeing the .ws domain as potential spammers)

Elva - great to hear.

I'll be doing some marketing myself in a short while (I sent for some verified leads, and will try to see if there's any luck doing that)

Thanks in advance for any hints - let's make this a great opportunity: Webhosting with affiliation --> potential 'negative cost' webhosting for life :-)

Hello Amauri,

Thank you for your quick reply.
I do not use the WOT reputation plug-in myself, so it must be facebook that uses it generally.

I investigated a bit further - and found that facebook removes the referrer name when clicking on the 'ignore this warning' button, which could be the reason for my low (0) sign-up's from facebook.
So, there might be something about the fact that facebook states that freedom.ws is a potential threat to their partners: "Linket du prøver at besøge er blevet betragtet som potentielt fornærmende af Facebook partnere. " - they're simply afraid of competition  Grin

Best regards,
Egon - TheDane.ws & .dk
4  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Re: thousands of youtube views but no signups??? on: June 10, 2011, 02:48:49 PM
Does anyone know about the security when using scripts/javascripts to link to the sign-up page/referral program?

I seems easy to me to 'high-jack', or do a 'man-in-the-middle-attack' - and hence getting a legit referral transferred to a 'hackers account'.
Can anyone enlighten me on this issue please?

(I myself saw the freedom.ws link on YouTube, signed-up, sent my upline an e-mail and my upline hasn't answered my e-mails in the past (sent one or two) - which makes me wonder. It's first now that I'm having the time to develop THIS side of my 'business')

Best regards,
Egon Sørensen - thedane.ws & .dk

Hi fellow GDI'ers.

I was wondering if any of you have had the same expericence as I have.
When I click on the the 'I like' button on my GDI webpage (freedom.ws) - the page is added to my facebook profile, but clicking on the link I get:

freedom.ws
WOT users who have rated this site didn't find it trustworthy.

This IS A PROBLEM GUYS/GIRLS/A.I./???
All the ratings are in the poor area, so imho this is VERY BAD.

Is it facebook who is screwing with us, not wanting competition - or is this really a sucky sucky service?
(No persons in my downline yet, but I've been busy with my Unified Field Theory --> thedane.ws --> thedane.dk)

Looking forward to hearing from others who have had success here, otherwise I'll stop this little niche after 6+ months of 'negative growth' :-|

Best regards,
TheDane - www.thedane.ws

I have an idea for future improvements:

Different languages spoken in the videos.
I'm sure it is well worth it having native language promo videos, done professionally.
If this isn't possible - the please: Subtitles.

I'm Danish, and here's a potential marked of 6+ Million people.
Almost everybody here has internet, but most of the 68' generation (and older) people doesn't speak and understand english well   Cry
Subtitles are second nature here - we read'em without thinking  Shocked Shocked

Thanks in advance,
Egon

Hi Robert,

I'll give it a try, though I'm not with tech-support  Grin

When you registered, you entered the domain name you wanted (I'm guessing Rob) - and this is your internet website address, just add this to the end: .ws
rob.ws

Or, for nerds  Shocked
http://rob.ws/

- I just checked it, and it was working perfectly  Tongue
(Btw - this should probably have been posted in the "Questions and Issues" section http://talk.ws/index.php?board=16.0 - Hope it's ok to answer here, though it may be moved/deleted by the mods at any time)
