1  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / What's With The NEW Affiliate Pages I've Been Seeing? on: February 01, 2008, 04:22:19 AM
Has anyone seen the NEW GDI affiliates page?? I'm a member on several traffic exchanges and as of last night I've been seeing a bright RED page, which has a stunning photo of a Ferrari on it (in the middle of the page) with the headline (in white) "Financial Freedom". As you scroll down to the bottom it has that familiar movie ticket where you enter your info to watch the 7-minute movie.

Where can WE get such a page?

I've also noticed that the page we use to track our hits (the "http://website.ws/username" site) is NOT just the "testimonials" page for some folks anymore.  Mine still is, but my dad is also a GDI member and when HIS affiliate page comes up it shows a NEW type of GDI movie -- the same African American gentleman plus some new brunette woman with him. Plus the page looks a whole lot BETTER than those boring, long-winded testimonials.  How come this is not the same page for EVERYONE?? It seems that some members have this page while others, like me, have the "older" version.

I'm really confused! Can someone address this PLEASE???  Huh  Angry
2  .WS Business / Marketing / Re: How many of you are using social networking sites to build relationships? on: January 07, 2008, 02:41:06 PM
I'm with Sales Spider and AdlandPro....between the two I absolutely LOVE Sales Spider....you can do A LOT on there for FREE however I have not had any luck with anyone signing up under me.

Those of you participating in networks like this -- what is your secret? How are you all getting signups? What I've noticed is that these places just seem like a bunch of internet business people each advertising their OWN stuff with little or no interest in signing up under anyone else's.  Undecided

Anyone?? Some input would be greatly appreciated...especially by you seasoned GDI sellers... Undecided
4  .WS Business / Marketing / Best Online Advertising Sites? on: January 02, 2008, 10:13:38 AM
Hi everyone, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I've been at "the grindstone" for about a month now, and have been participating on several online ad sites with absolutely NO decent results yet...

I was wondering which online sites you all use?

I'm already on Sales Spider, Adland Pro, Homework Ads, INET Giant, Web Cosmo, Facebook and The AdNet.  Sales Spider seems to be the "best" so far with regards to what they let you do for FREE on their site (posting on forums, placing classified ads, hosting live events) and my ads get really decent "impressions" but little to no "views" (I don't know what the difference between the two categories is, and when I ask members on there they don't seem to know, either... Huh)

Craigs List really sucks -- I don't understand why MY ads get yanked yet I see other GDI folks on there and their ads DON'T get pulled. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong over there?

Oh and DirectMatches also sucks -- you can't do much of anything on there for free, except have your own myspace-type of page over there, and all THAT does is get other online marketers to look at your stuff.  Big Deal. Not the audience I want to reach.

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THIS IS GETTING VERY FRUSTRATING, ESPECIALLY WHEN I SEE OTHERS ON LEADERBOARDS GENERATING TONS OF SIGNUPS!  Undecided

I, too, am rather new to GDI (going on three weeks) and I just noticed this thread now! I went on over to the link provided in the initial post and registered, even though one of the headings says "New Classes Coming Soon".  I truly hope it is indeed soon as I think I could gain a WEALTH of info on this stuff.  I know it really has not been a long time with my involvement in GDI but I have not had a single sign up, even though I am advertising like NUTS as well as the whole flyer thing.

I truly do not wish to give up on GDI in the future -- I really want this to be successful for me as I believe in the enormous potential in this wonderful company.  Smiley

Yeah, well join the club -- many of us have been waiting for clarification on the myspace issue and we still haven't gotten anywhere.  Roll Eyes

Does ANYONE know what the deal is with posting this stuff on our MYSPACE.COM profiles??  Huh I don't understand why this is such a difficult issue! I've checked on the myspace forums, and the way they are talking about posting codes like the ones GDI has given for banner should work but yet they don't, whether you're using the FLASH banner or the ANIMATED GIF banners.

I really want to advertise this on my myspace profile, as I get a lot of traffic there and yet I can't get this stuff to work -- and many others can't too! What is the problem here???  Huh  Angry

I went in to my "edit profile" mode on myspace and I don't even see the "Accept Custom HTML" thing you mentioned.  Huh Where do I find this to change it??  Huh

I had the same problem and I never got an answer either.  Huh

I would also like to know if there is a way to show the actual move on our own sites WITHOUT having to implement that /show_dvd extension.

Are there any codes that we can just plop into our individual sites without all of us looking the same with that freedom.ws site that also shows the dvd??  Huh
12  .WS Services / WebSite Development / Hit Log Confustion on: December 02, 2007, 09:33:25 AM
The url of my website is http://mightyaphrodite.ws

HOWEVER, when I go to my Hit Logs area in the back office, I see that it says the hits are registered for MY AFFILIATE URL of http://website.ws/mightyaphrodite

This is different from my actual website and I'm wondering what the heck this second link is and why I have it.  Huh

Can someone clear this confusion up for me and HOW do I go about getting hits registered for my actual site link?? THAT is the web address I'm posting in all my ads!!  Shocked
13  .WS/GDI Discussion / Questions & Issues / Question About Craigs List!! on: November 29, 2007, 03:23:39 AM
Hi Everyone,

I've tried using the Search bar on this but didn't come up with any satisfying answers to my questions, so please excuse me if somehow I've overlooked what's been written before about Craig's List.

I'm midway through my seven-day trial and I AM planning on sticking with this afterwards -- I'm someone who, when involved in something, wants to really make it WORK.  Smiley

I tried writing my own little classified ads for Craig's List on Tuesday, and I put them in different cities in the ETC/Part Time Job category.  My dilemma is this: I've seen MANY other people doing the same thing for THEIR GDI sites and they don't get deleted. I've posted 9 ads so far and it seems only one of them, which was put in for Dublin, Ireland, was actually flagged/deleted. I was looking at my account activity and that was the only ad that was in "pink" (which is the color they use when they flag or delete something).  The remaining 8 were in the green, or "Active" category. However, when I go looking for these "green" ads in the cities I've posted them in, I can NOT find them anywhere!!  Shocked Does anyone know why this is? All the ads were identical, I just placed it in different cities. Was the only one marked in pink representative of the others as well? I wouldn't think so, unless I'm mistaken.

If I was deleted because Craig's List felt my "job ad" was iffy, then how come all these other GDI ads don't get deleted? What did I do wrong??  Huh

I'm very confused and feeling quite discouraged for my work.  Undecided

Any help/advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

Has anyone else had problems with the EZ Ad Suite we've been told to install?? I followed all the necessary pre-requisites but I get a fatal error message when the EZ Ad Suite program tries to install.  Huh

Hi Everyone!! I'm from Western North Carolina -- Weaverville, to be exact! I'm very excited to be part of the GDI family! I'm currently doing the seven-day free trial but I am signing on after that!

Good to meet all of you!  Grin
