[Hey Tom,

You have to look at how you can sell the product I find before trying to build the business with GDI. I've been around network marketing a while both online and off and it is all about two things: timing and product. When times are hard you need a product which either saves someone money or is absolutely essential to life. GDI doesn't really do the latter but will save anyone wanting a webiste built a few hundred quid. I'd suggest teaching yourself a bit of website building skills (if not get a friend who can) and advertise a self-build website package in your local business ads. That way you'll start to earn a bit of extra money as your GDI downline grows.

Good luck,
Neil.

Hi everybody,

My name is Michael McCord and I'm based in Liphook in Hampshire. Just joined GDI and using it and a handfull of other things to try and kickstart an Internet career.
I have always had a belief in the Net as a way of making a living but kept on hitting the same walls as you...Its a scam!!! I believe that we will break through eventually and things like the present credit crunch, house values falling and fuel prices rising will help us all.

I would be glad (and grateful) to team up via phone, e-mail or face to face with anyone in the UK so we can discuss what works and what doesn't

Glad to be on board,
Mike

Hey folks,

From the NE of Scotland here, signed up a few days ago and based on some of the dates on these posts I'm 3 years behind many of you. Is the market saturated yet?  Reality is kicking in about how difficult it actually is to generate new leads. After all, what use is a lead if they're not at least as pro-active as I am?  Right now I'm using Traffic Exchange (which frankly, gets views but people aren't interested in the sites, just generating their own credits), plus I've noticed loads of GDI sites on them too. So its not proving very effective.

I'm realising that targeted marketing is what will generate the most effective results long term, but haven't the foggiest on where to begin. I've got ideas of leaving business card ads in books at the library, leaving them on the table when I leave a coffee shop, but this all seems soooo random and down to chance. Like some of you I'm also considering buying leads from GDI, but would like an idea of what exactly the quality of those are.

Other things I'm thinking of include placing ads in local free classifieds, newspapers, or even sending letters to people via postcodes etc, but again, this all feels soooo random. Its difficult to plan or control such randomness, its like leaving your success or failure down to fate more than being pro-active.

Does anyone know of a source where I can acquire details of persons actively looking for such an opportunity and isn't just about selling you crap quality mailing lists etc?  I agree that the UK is a tough nut to crack. Hence my scope is worldwide for maximum benefit, although that does complicate things when it comes to calling etc.

I wish all of us luck, and I'd be happy to talk/discuss/meet anyone (particularly in the UK for ease) about where to go with this.

Cheers,

Richard

[Hey Tom,

Hi Neil,

When talking about product, I presume you mean the GDI hosting,
website building and email services. If that is correct, I
believe we have to look at things slightly differently.

The GDI hosting, website building and email services is what GDI,
the Company, sells and so their focus is on promoting those
services. But you are not a member of the company. You are a
member of the network, and your focus should be elsewhere.

You can have your hosting cost free, if you build a group of a
dozen GDI affiliates. That would make GDI very competitive,
price-wise, wouldn't you agree?

I think that when times are hard, some people look to save
money, whilst others look for a way to earn more money.

I have always found an abundance of the latter, regardless of
the times being good or bad. I feel it is these that we should
focus on locating and helping.

It is these people that are our true product. It is taking them
as raw recruits and, through familiarising them with a system,
turning them into self-sufficient leaders, capable of building
leaders themselves.

A leader is our true final product, and the more leaders we
build, the greater our success.

Hope this helps,

Gordon

Hello Ron and the other people from the U.K

I'm Victor and I live in Eastbourne, East Sussex, on the south coast. I've heard good reports about GDI
I'm very new to this networking lark so if anyone has any advice I'd be very grateful.

Hi!  My name is Janis, and am new to the world of internet business, and finding it very interesting, and new to WS, only just begun today.  I live in the UK, and work as a driving instructor, running a vibrant and busy school, but being driven crazy by the amount of work I have to do, and watching my profits plummet with the cost of fuel rising all the time.  How is this going for you...hints, tips, ideas always welcome.   Wink
